2081  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: September 11, 2022, 12:57:32 AM
^^ Yes, for sure a lot of good options for him. Doesn't necessarily fighting Tank at 135 lbs, as you have said, Rolly Romero and Isaac Cruz or even Jojo Diaz and then number 6 William Zepeda. So far 135 lbs looks like this:

Haney
Loma
Davis
Kambosos
Ryan Garcia

And then the fighter that I mentioned in the top 6 to 11-15.

But we will have to wait for the result of this fight first. Shakur should focus on Robson before he talks about fighting Tank in 135 lbs.

Jojo Diaz could be a tailor made fight for Shakur at 135, in paper Diaz seems to be very good and a contender. But I think Shakur can beat him hands down.

Isaac Cruz and Rolly Romero might be dangerous for him because both have power in hands. Rolly Romero is awkward and might throw him off because he can find his spot, same as with Isaac Cruz. Those overhead shots might find it's target but Shakur can weathered that storm and win by decision.
2082  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 11, 2022, 12:28:56 AM
I've seen predictions of the following that Canelo will knock out GGG.

1. Amir Khan
2. Juan Manual Marquez

Their reason is that Canelo is just about in his prime years and GGG is old and 40 years old. And the body punch will be the key for Canelo if he wanted to soften GGG. And then GGG doesn't look good against Murata although he won that fight.

Not sure if we should listen to this former boxers, but they have their own opinion but we already knew those points already.
2083  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Accepted crypto for trading on: September 10, 2022, 11:56:23 PM
Hello you guys,
Until now, there is no country officially accepted crypto for trading or purchase as I know. Can you explain why?
Moreover, do you think that which country could be the first?

Wrong, every part of the continent now is accepting crypto, maybe not the direct p2p as how it is envisioned by the creator Satoshi, but still there are third party services everywhere that you can convert your crypto and then you can purchase online or even offline stores.

In Europe LN has been tested for the last couple of years, specially if you are just going to buy coffee and things that the amount can be accommodated by LN (Lightning Network).
2084  Economy / Economics / Re: Energy FUD!!! on: September 10, 2022, 05:07:50 AM
I can't fathom why Bitcoin keeps getting targeted for all kinds of reasons, from it being a bubble to consuming too much energy. This is clearly not the first time Bitcoin mining operations have been targeted for their energy efficiency. The image posted by the OP is true. Bitcoin operations only account for less than 1% of the total electricity consumed. Some will claim that 1% is too much, but I beg to differ for something that is practically generating wealth. In my opinion, we're bound to see more enemies of mining operations in the upcoming months due to the energy crisis.

On top of that, Bitcoin mining is mostly operated in Asian countries; there are hardly any operations in Europe, which is facing the largest threat from the energy crisis, but still, it's constantly being targeted for consuming excessive energy.
this is seen because there is no legality from the government. when the legalization occurs, the government will look for alternative solutions to overcome the energy crisis. on the other hand because of the war and only a few European countries that have the natural resources needed, then defeating bitcoin seems to be an easier way to go, this is different from Asian countries which have many abundant natural resources. especially for now European countries are experiencing an energy crisis and high inflation, so mining bitcoins may not be profitable

I don't think we need legality from the government just to mine bitcoin though. As others have pointed out we are in an energy crisis specially in Europe so everyone is watching how energy is consumed and it just so happen that there are countries that allow bitcoin mining so these regulators and watchdog are going to say negative things about it and create a air that it is very bad for everything, including the ill effects on the environment.
2085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Cryptocurrencies Change the View of the Game Industry in the Future on: September 10, 2022, 04:35:48 AM
the weakness of play to earn is that when they are in for a long time, the game will also start to get boring, income will also decrease with the number of players playing and the price of coins used as a reward only. This leaves people who developed the play to earn concept confused about how to solve the problem.

And it's started to wane for some players, and then another new game comes in, and repeat the cycle, becoming the new hype and later gamers lost their interest, so it's going to be cyclical in this bear market. Until there will new one that is being offered, completely unique just like what Axie did in the gaming industry. But in a sense, it has changes a lot in the gaming industries, crypto are getting into their picture and for sure it will continue to influence them and the market.
2086  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 10, 2022, 04:05:20 AM
If you think that GGG will win this fight then you have a chance to quadruple your money as the ML odds for this fight had it @4.6 for GGG while @1.16 for Canelo. The bookies think opposite the as they are putting Canelo as the heavy favorite due to age and performance I think. GGG's win against Murata wasn't impressive at least for me while Canelo was putting a typical Canelo show only that Bivol is the better, bigger, and smart fighter that night so he lost but against GGG, no doubt he will win (just my thought).

I saw some of the sportsbooks having odds of +550 for Golovkin. Unbelievable, right? If Golovkin pulls this one off, then there will be a lot of shock and awe among the gambling circles. IMO, fair odds would have been -300 for Canelo and +250 for Golovkin. Anything higher or lower will be over-rating or under-rating these two boxers. We have one week to go, and I am still confused whether I should increase my betting amount. Placed a small bet in favor of GGG, and that was only because the odds being so attractive for him.

I agree, it's hard to not to get attracted to that huge odds before offered by sports bookies on Golovkin. I can't remember if this is the same odds in the second fight, but I reckon that Golovkin is not that huge underdog that time because the first fight could have been gone in his favor. But it seems the odds in the 3rd fight is very weird, Canelo coming from a lost, and then Golovkin winning against a game Murata. So something is not adding right in this fight.
2087  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 10, 2022, 03:49:34 AM

Lol, a conditioned fighter can easily beat the unconditioned one no matter how skillful the boxer is if the fight goes a distance.   Since the player isn't fully conditioned, it will affect his stamina and strength.  He might retain the skills but his stamina and strength won't be at 100% and that will affect the fight greatly.
That's right, however, I'm pretty sure no boxer would do that, a fighter will always make sure that he is 100% conditioned when in the fight, that's the most important responsibility of a fighter, because if he would not do that, it's just like he was fighting to lose, and that does not look good.

You wouldn't really take it seriously that Inoue need not train for the fight. They are professional boxers for some time, they need to go tremendous steps that it becomes a routine for them to just wake up early to run for miles or go to a boxing gym not just for sparing.

Inoue would even watch Butler's previous fights, and his losses and will look at how he could find an opening for Butler.

I don't think that Inoue has that kind of mindset of taking his opponents lightly and not taking training seriously because he know he will lose if he don't train 100% in this fight.

And his handler knows that. So maybe by now Inoue is banging those bags with power punches and same with Butler too. Both for sure will be motivated to win, but majority of us thinks the Inoue will not only win, by with a devastating knock out.
2088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 10, 2022, 03:26:29 AM
What a start of this first semifinal between to quality players in the world Khachanov vs Ruud in first set both breaks serve two times, but fight back very quickly which is showing their commitment and quality which is essential for this Grand Slam after end of first set with the score of 6 - 6 Ruud won this by tiebreaker with the score of 7 - 5 look like it's going to be five set match as both are having good service and good returns entertaining match is going to be long both are fighting hard for place in final as now after many years we are going to have final without big three.

Second set started with Khachanov done good start after having score of 0 - 40 won his first game.
Ruud improved his game on hard court drastically since last season. He still isn't the best out there but he can run to almost any ball and he is solid with all his strokes. Still can't believe he has a chance to be no. 1 in the world if he gets further then Alcaraz here.

Very interesting situation all around, if Ruud and Alcaraz loose today - Nadal is no.1. If one of them wins and the other looses, winner is no.1. I want to see Ruud - Alcaraz final and if we get it, then the winner of US OPEN becomes no. 1 as well. My money and sympathies go towards Alcaraz, he simply has that something that makes you wanna cheer for him.

For me it is still wierd if Ruud wins the us open and gets that first place. He isnt the material for first place with his gameplay but he is improving. Currently he is leading 1-2 against Khachanov and has an amazing chance to reach the final and book his place in the final

Why though? big 3 is already fading, it's time to look for replacement for them and it's fortunate that it could be Ruud to become the top player in the world right now.

And yeah he defeated Khachanov, and have a new title, "Ruthless" Ruud.

The match between Tiafoe and Alcaraz is on the final set, Alcaraz leading 2-0. Nail biting match, when we thought that the Australian Open is exciting, I think the US Open beat that one as far as game matches and excitement is concern.
2089  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tornado Cash alternatives on: September 09, 2022, 05:39:03 AM
Currently, amid the dire state of the crypto market, investors are becoming more and more skeptical about the concept of a cryptocurrency mixer after Tornado Cash was accused of laundering approximately US$7 billion through the crypto market, and has been blacklisted by the US Treasury. While the popularity of crypto assets suggests that digital assets will remain, the increasing number of scams and attacks suggests that investors should exercise caution before entering a decentralized market. Here are the top crypto mixed platforms that offer similar services to Tornado Cash but can be used in 2022.
Only narrow-minded people if they think this is the end of the altcoin mixer. I don't know why they not looking for another way like exchanging it first to bitcoin and then using chipmixer or another free mixer. why only focus to altcoin?

I guess it's because it is the first of its kind to be successful in the altcoin market. Sure there are a lot of bitcoin mixers still around even if there is a continuous crackdown.

And If I'm not mistaken, there are predecessor of Tornado Cash but it turns out to be a scam. So when finally we have a working model, and for years it is being used by a lot of ETH users, suddenly the government shut it down. But I believed another alternative will appear, but ETH users could use other methods like you mentioned before a new replacement for Tornado Cash will emerge.
2090  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for September on: September 09, 2022, 05:18:57 AM
It's a shame that people started to think that 15k would be closer due to a few bad days, we could have a few good days and not only be close to 25k but could even reach there. People are way too non-supportive of bitcoin and its price increases, we shouldn't consider it being like a bear market forever type of deal, we are not crashing and burning, it is just a bad day and it will be over quickly.

I guess people vote on what is the current sentiment are. We also have good days last August, the price move to $25,000 and if I'm not mistaken 2x-3x. But it was not maintain and then it went to a lows of $18,000 because of pressure from the bears.

So most likely they voted based on that run. And who knows, maybe we will reach $25,000 again and goes on another rally to $28k. But so far, we even had a hard time to breach $20,000. So that is the first barrier that we have to go through this month.
2091  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 09, 2022, 02:15:55 AM
Jabuer run continues in the ladies side, as she defeated Garcia. So she will be the first one to reach the finals.

Swiatek and Sabalenka still battling it out, as usual Swiatek lost the first set. And then storm back in the second to win by 6-1. Start of the third set now, and it seems that he has gotten his confidence back and her momentum. Sabalenka needs everything if she wanted to win.
2092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: September 09, 2022, 01:56:22 AM
As per Shakur, we might see him moving up to 135 lbs sooner than expected because he admitted that his body has difficulty making the 130 lbs limit.

Quote
“It all depends on the weight cut at the end of the day,” said Stevenson during an interview with Thaboxingvoice. “I done (did) amazing things at 130-pounds already. My last two fights to be specific, I done put on shows and I done did a lot at the weight, so if I struggle with the weight cut and it be hard on me, I think I’m going up to 135. Tell them boys get ready.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/shakur-stevenson-move-up-135-sooner-expected-tell-them-boys-get-ready--168907

And we all know that his target is Tank Davis. So if ever he wins and if he think that he is going to struggle to make the weight cut again, he will definitely go up. And then the 135 lbs will continue to be one of the most stock up weight classes.

I think we have a discussion that Shakur could clean up this division first or unify all the belts. But it seems that this might not be the plan after this fight with Robson.

If he can't squeeze 130 lbs in that body so there's no need to force him and still fight in this division. It might backfire on him as weight is a big issues for boxers. So yeah, he is all welcome to come in the next great weight class (besides the super welterweight).
2093  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 09, 2022, 01:25:43 AM
Regarding the fight between two ladies, I have been wanting to see this fight, is in jeopardy because of the passing of her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

Claressa Shields and Savannah Marshall has a schedule bout in O2 arena this weekend. But the promoters says that they will continue to go with the official weigh in just in case the British commission will allow the fight to go through despite the period of mourning.

Oh, yeah, I saw it on my feed that the Queen has passed away. So chances are the fight is going to be cancelled here. The whole nation will mourn for the time being so any sports should be cancelled indefinitely.

All eyes are into this fight, they have been calling out each other and the trash talking between this two ladies will rival anyone in the men's side. So let's just wait for the official announcement.
2094  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October 29 on: September 08, 2022, 08:32:42 AM
I do agree that upsets do happen in every fight like in the Lopez vs Kambosos or Him vs Lopez, but for Loma if might be a different case as he is coming from his war torn country and he wanted to show everything that he is back and that he will get back all his belts. He is also inspired by the win of his countryman, also trained by his father, Usyk. So I don't see him being careless or underestimate him, unless he is injured or something.

I just hope Loma won't start slow.  Since he is from a long break due to him participating in defending his country, there is a possibility that Loma will adjust since this is his first fight after a long break.  And besides, if we observe his fight against Lopez, he really started so slow there, it was in the later round when he starts showing what he has, so in the end, Loma lost via unanimous decision.

It is much better for us to expect that Lomachenko will start slow rather than expecting the opposite one because we know that his inactivity in the ring because of the war might take some toll that will causes him to start slow. Also, I believe that Loma will take the time first to feel the environment while testing the water against Ortiz. Nonetheless, it's hard to think that Loma will be defeated here as he have the advantage when it comes to ring IQ and that is what matters the most even if he haven't got the height and reach advantage.

I don't think that Loma will start slow, he is eager to get back in the ring and just like in his first comeback fight coming from a lost and injury, he blasted a good fighter in Nakatani. Of course the circumstances are very different now, but Loma having a top boxing IQ, it won't deter him to start where he left off prior to the war in Ukraine. So I expect the same Loma, if not much hungrier in this fight to impress his fans.
2095  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 08, 2022, 08:10:36 AM
Classic tennis match between the next two gen player, Alcaraz won over Sinner in five sets.

He was down 1-2 and then he come back rallying in the last two set to win in more than five hours and will now face Tiafoe in the semis.

It was like watching Nadal and Federer, a rivalry that was fun to watch because each one is so great that you don't know who is going to win in the end.
2096  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 08, 2022, 01:51:07 AM
Kudos to Paul Butler for doing this. I cannot easily believe that he just signed this match-up. Is he too honorable or he's getting paid at least a million dollars in this fight or maybe both? But I am very happy that finally another undisputed championship is happening. Boxing is a little back to its glory days when champions should fight each other.

Its probably his 'death wish', to fight the best champion in the bantamweight. And it's because of the paycheck that he will get in this fight, I speculate that's why he chooses to signed on the dotted line.

Inoue will smash Butler pretty easily. Faster, stronger, more powerful puncher, stronger chin, higher IQ, better stamina, heart and has more experience in high-level fights. Is there even an advantage that Butler has? Maybe some can say he is taller and has longer reach? But it also means he will enter the ring slimmer which is vulnerable to body punches.

Not sure what advantage Butler has in this fight, and if I'm not mistaken the fight will be held in Japan? And yeah, Inoue is known to be a body puncher so once he time Butler coming in with either hand not tuck in his body, for sure Inoue will make it sure that he hit him with power to knock him out by just one body punch.
2097  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Heavyweight Battle of Britain - FURY vs JOSHUA on: September 08, 2022, 12:15:30 AM
Still at works, lots of things to iron out, they are domestic rivals including their promotions, Matchroom by Hearn (AJ) and Queensberry Promotions by Frank Warren (Fury).
No doubt, both promotions know there's a lot of money riding on this, and I imagine Hearne is going to be pushing for a 50/50 split rather than taking the smaller purse. I imagine it's going to take...in typical boxing fashion a few months to sort this out, while both fighters are ageing. There will probably be issues with securing a venue, all of the normal excuses you have when it comes to these two fighters.

I also see them selling out, and going to Dubai to host it. They'll want the money, and the UK side of things can't compete with that, which will be a huge shame for British fans wanting to see these two fight in their home turfs.

If I'm not mistaken, in the schedule first fight of Fury and Joshua, the side of Anthony pushes for a 60:40 and then Fury camp come back with the 50:50 split. Perhaps Hearn will used it against Fury this time and see how they will react with that kind of split.

Of course, it will be a shame if the fight is not going to happen in the British soil. But the money is going to flow if ever this is going to be in Saudi again. It seems that Hearn has build already a good rapport with someone rich and influential in Saudi that he can just go there and ask for the fight to be held with this amount of money.
2098  Economy / Speculation / Re: Purchased at $23,500, when should I start to panic? When should I average down? on: September 07, 2022, 11:47:13 PM
I think I made a mistake buying at $23,500 (obviously), so when should I really start to panic now that we dropped to $18K?

I don't think you made a mistake, so no need to panic and sell it right now because obviously you will not profit. The best thing to do is just hold on it. What if the price shoot up in the next bull run? I guess you have to answer if you are for the long haul or not.

At what price point now should I consider to add more to average in at? Like, if you owned a bitcoin at $23,500, would you wait for $10K or 15K to start adding more to average in your high price of $23,500?

$15,000 would be a good price to average, again, what if the price didn't go down that low? You really have to understand what is your main goal first, be a long term holder or sell right away for a small profit?
2099  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your plan with Bitcoin? on: September 07, 2022, 11:32:16 PM
Same as you, buying bitcoin in weekly status or at least when I have fiat at hand and just be a HODL. And since we are in a bear market, they are in a discounted price so we should take advantage of it.

And it's also a long term goal for me, I have stocks that I have hold for more than 10 years now so I believed that I can do that to bitcoin or even longer, (at least 3 bull run cycles), so let's see.

2100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 07, 2022, 09:30:41 AM
Good to hear that Nick has nothing to say bad against Karen in their gruelling five sets match. Two big servers, in the end it was Karen to make some pressure shots down the line. I must admit that I was surprised because we all know that Karen is somewhat very inconsistent, but in this tournament he was really focus. And so he will have Casper Ruud to face next. Probably this could be another five setter for him.
