I was getting used to read of a new topic each week saying that Russia was about to ban BTC. Obviously, this week is different, but I have yet to understand why. Especially since the ruble remains at such a low value. Increasing BTC usage would not help.

The title should be reversed. The real big news, if this is true, should be that 30% of BTC users are making more than $100K a year. I would never have guessed that. There are some wealthy folks among us. Now, all this comes from a survey. Accuracy may not be great...

I'm not expecting the present situation to last long as this is raising popularity of the far right. Since elections are never far away in Italy, Renzi will have to act to keep moderate voters behind him.

There should be a law saying that when 2 guys from the same family have been president, a third guy cannot get that same job. That law could then be extended to spouses of former presidents.

The Italians just want to keep on living the way they do without anyone spoiling the party, and that's what the migrants are doing.
I was in Italy last week. 11 PM in a small town on a weekday. I was living the restaurant on a warm evening, a quiet street, everything was beautiful, everything was lovely, and then 3 guys with dark skin and dirty clothes came up to the fountain to wash their feet. I am some kind of a migrant myself, having left my country many years ago, so I'm not against migrations but nobody likes to see misery.
Ahahah, well that is normal in Italy, go to naples and see people there do the weirdest shits. Someone might agree with you, but that's not what I mean. Most of those people are just looking to escape the war, and the world is not so small that other countries can't help them. Others are criminals or worse, so there's that too sure I've been to Napoli a few times, even once in Castel Volturno (many immigrants there), but I still see Italians as clean people. Italy is not like India. It's immigrants who make it look like a third world country, not the Italians.

I'm surprised to see so many critics of Mastercard. It's a good service, with millions of satisfied customers all over the world. What we must see is that BTC is much more than Mastercard because it's also a currency. Mastercard is only a fast and efficient payment system. You cannot invest any money in a Mastercard.

At least, we're getting closer to a solution. I'm really fed up with Greece's problems making top headlines news. Every month, it's the same story with the country on verge of bankruptcy because it's unable to pay its debts. This just cannot go on for years. When there's a problem between a bank and an individual, the matter is settled much quicker.

Thanks for graphic. This makes it clear at least. To those unfamiliar to the US system, it compares the state income tax, but US residents must also pay the federal income tax, but the real pain in the US is property tax. It can be higher than income tax for many retirees in some states.

I don't see London as a prime location for starting a business because you cannot start small there. You'll need plenty of money to get an office, and to pay workers. Even a secretary is expensive in London. There's money around, no doubt about that, but you'll need to make lots of it right away to cope with your expenses.

Somehow I understand. Food is strongly regulated everywhere. They should sell cards, drawings, key rings or little stuff like that. Think about all the paperwork a farmer has to fill to be allowed to sell fresh produce in a market.

I guess we all agree that Greece has had incompetent political leaders for many years (just like today), but if Greece is a democracy, and it's been one for quite a few years, the people somehow, should be responsible.

10 states with the lowest average annual tax burden:
1. Wyoming, $2,365 2. Alaska, $2,791 3. Nevada, $3,370 4. Florida, $3,648 5. South Dakota, $3,766 6. Washington (state), $3,823 7. Texas, $5,193 8. Delaware, $5,195 9. North Dakota, $5,588 10. New Mexico, $5,822
10 states with the highest average annual tax burden:
1. New York, $9,718 2. California, $9,509 3. Nebraska, $9,450 4. Connecticut, $9,099 5. Illinois, $9,006 6. Wisconsin, $8,975 7. Vermont, $8,838 8. New Jersey, $8,830 9. Iowa, $8,788 10. Maine, $8,622
If you hate paying taxes, pay attention to where you live. Residents of the nation's lowest-tax states pay less than one-quarter of the levies contributed by those in the highest-tax states. And that's even when they earn the same amount and spend the same amount on everything from housing to beer, according to an analysis by personal finance site WalletHub.
I don't get those numbers. I suppose they show the average income tax paid by resident? If so, they don't mean tax is higher in New York than in Wyoming, but that the people living in NY are richer. Tax rate could be the same.

It takes at least 18 months to get a patent these days, and cost can be really high. What takes time is to check that the thing you want patented isn't already. Then, it's very difficult to do it if you aren't a lawyer, you need to describe your process or invention in very precise and careful terms. I think it's only large corporations getting patents these days, it's too difficult for the individual.

Interesting, thanks for info. I've stopped using Bitcoin QT 2 years ago, but that could be a reason to go back to it. Still, I'm pretty surprised. This is very low! I guess I wouldn't like it if I were a miner.

I guess they are right. Mastercard is faster, since getting approval for a payment takes only seconds, and somehow, it's safer, too. The Evolution dark market which vanished with $12 million: this couldn't have happened if all payments had been with Mastercard.
Now, I don't work for MC, and I'm a huge BTC supporter but I don't criticize Mastercard, nor Visa, they offer good service, too. There should be a model for BTC, and I believe BTC still has to learn from credit card companies.

You can always have several wallets, and only carry with you the details about the one with the least money in it. Now, a smartphone is too small to use for BTC or banking operations. Easy to steal and conceal. I recommend using a true computer.

You may be a doctor in achumzeenabullgetvastic. As nobody knows what that is since that doesn't exist, nobody can complain that you're trying to fool anyone. Now, I'm afraid a title of Dr in achumzeenabullgetvastic may not help you much achieve anything.

I have 3 wallets at blockchain.info. I keep on trusting them because I understand they're making a dangerous business, and that many thieves/hackers want to break into other people's wallet, so I'm not surprised that they experience some down times.

Not in a few years. I'm expecting a big change when the oil and all the fossil fuels run out. In 30/50 years. All that trade right now is in US dollars. When it's over, the global importance of the American currency will shrink dramatically.
