If 2016 brings more BTC users and more BTC transactions, it will be a good year. That's all I want. Growth. Market will take care of the rest, with more stores and more opportunities to spend BTC all over the world.

We can imagine that the Chinese government could block all data BTC-related, but we need to go further and imagine what Chinese miners would do after that. I guess some would try to move their equipment to Australia. Some others may simply switch off their computers waiting for the government to remove its firewall. There are several options...

Civil war in Turkey? Hey, I'd live to see that. That would make impossible for the NATO to keep on seeing Turkey as a normal and friendly country. I find it shocking that Frau Merkel keeps on visiting Erdogan like he was a nice guy, with the EU handing him money so he can kill more Kurds.

Please forget everything you know about "consumer price index", and change the software which gives you this totally useless piece of information. You don't need to know what "consumer price index" is or do to use BTC successfully. All you need to know is that transaction fees are below 10 cents.

Go to every store in your town and ask if you can pay with BTC. If they don't know what it is, you'll explain them.
Write and call Amazon and all big online stores to ask them how you can pay with BTC.
Try to pay your utility companies with BTC.
Try to pay your doctor and dentist with BTC.
Etc...

This would help a lot, and it won't take anything but your time.

Frankly I was wondering if OpenBazaar was real. I tried to use it more than a year ago. I guessed they announced the project, and invite people to join much too earlier. When a project is still a project, it's better to hide everything about it. You only talk about it when there's something to see, to test. People have very high expectations now, after so much time in the making, so they will have o launch something real good and bug-free to avoid any disappointment.

An announcement? There are no BTC announcements. Those come from centralized organizations.

I wish the community will make the news by finding a solution to the scalability problem which will get more and more acute.
I also wish more and more brick and mortar stores will accept BTC.

I confirm. I'm not Swiss, but I spend a lot of time in Switzerland and I've never seen any street ads regarding a "votation" on this matter, nor on cryptocurrency. And I usually pay a lot of attention to my surroundings.

Are the people complaining all in America? I'm in Europe, and I haven't noticed anything different on week-ends in the Paris/Rome time zone during day time.

I used to believe there were more transactions on weekdays, and I just can't understand why confirmations would be longer on Friday nights. I've never seen anyone paying with BTC at a bar.

I don't use any google websites, I use startpage.com for my searches, and there are plenty other choices for anything google offers.

I can't imagine any accounting software being BTC compliant, as all include tax which aren't relevant to BTC. As a small business owner (not BTC-related), I don't use any special software. I created my own spreadsheets on Openoffice (which is free) and that's fine.

Let's forget about the examples given. A country probably can ban BTC, which would kill all legit use, such as paying your plumber with BTC, but that wouldn't kill BTC. It would only restrict its use to illegal uses, which may include financing terrorists which would overthrow the fascist government which banned BTC.

I think it's not wise to ban BTC.

I'm very familiar with electric cars, and they're probably the future but those already on the market do not answer the needs of the average driver. Electric cars are nice if you live in London and don't drive much, but if you drive a lot cross-country the way I do, an electric car couldn't do it.
