2142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It cost me $2 + 12 hours to send $25 in BTC now on: August 29, 2017, 08:37:16 AM
Still no one on the dev team considers this an issue?

I have sent multiple $20 transactions all with high fee ALONG WITH high confirm times..

Blockchain.info now has 2 different fee modes to send, both of which are high.

Ethereum will take over Bitcoin if this keeps up.
It takes a lot of time and the transaction fees have become damn high , I totally agree with everyone out there who are not happy with the recent delays and high fees issues. Ethereum replacing bitcoin, not sure about that because anything and everything is possible in the crypto-currency world.
2143  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price of Bitcoin by 2018? on: August 27, 2017, 09:16:37 AM
Do you think that BTC can price $10,000 in 2018?
Dude,10k by 2018 would amazing and the profits that everyone will get ,it will be like one of the best things that anyone would have done in his/her life,so lets see where bitcoin takes us to. Because not all currencies will be worth 10000$ and then people will know that bitcoin is no joke,so lets tell the world this:- "You dont like bitcoin, its your wish, you are the one who will regret it later."
2144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin on Uber on: August 27, 2017, 07:51:25 AM
Meanwhile, bitcoin just got integrated with Uber for tipping drivers. Isn't that a good news?

https://twitter.com/Melt_Dem/status/895466611477544960
Wow,isn't it great? Bitcoin used for tipping drivers who work for Uber! Bitcoin is going to get popular amongst drivers and common people who use Uber regularly. But then how much will a person tip? 0.005 btc/20 $ for any trip, more than that or less? Its great that Big companies like Uber will now be involved in bitcoin and more companies will follow them, lets see what happens  in the coming years.
2145  Economy / Economics / Re: WILL BITCOIN BE USED BY ALMOST EVERYONE IN 2022? on: August 27, 2017, 07:08:59 AM
It is said that bitcoin will destroy the fiat system but i believe that if this happens the world will change completly because banks and a lot of things will go out of market.
Bitcoin being used by 2022 is not an easy thing to accomplish and bitcoin is for sure not replacing fiat, bank or any centralized major organisation for  sure because in 5 years ,do you seriously think that most people will use bitcoin and fiat will be no longer existing and bullshit? C'mon, dude governments wont keep their hands tied to themselves, and so will the people who do not use bitcoin,so the numbers will not be on the side who do use bitcoin and want bitcoin to replace fiat.
2146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: August 26, 2017, 12:46:29 PM
Does it make sense to believe that Bitcoin could one day be replaced by another cryptocurrency, that is, a cryptocurrency that really does make Bitcoin obsolete?
Obsolete, not sure about that, but possibilities are there for bitcoin to be replaced,so you never know what is going to happen ,so better be prepared for what will happen in the future, cause at the end of the day, anything is possible. I wont like bitcoin to be replaced by any other crypto-currency because bitcoin is just any day better than any other crypto-currency.
2147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you keep your bitcoins? on: August 25, 2017, 07:00:00 PM
I have all my coins in on an online trading site (paxful) (low volume)

I plan on making a large investment very soon, and want to safely store all of my coins
I.E I basically want to drop a couple thousand, and keep them in the safest possible way, where I can revisit them in 5-10 years or so and reap the benefits, or cry about the loss.

What is the best way to do this, and what's the best way of ensuring a backup?

How do you currently store your coins

thanks in advance for any inputs

The best way to keep your coins safe is by storing in a cold storage wallet, or any wallet that gives access to your private keys. Before you make any decision are you sure that ,God forbid, will you be able to face the repercussions if any? Because forgetting your money for like 5-10 years is not a joke. Since you are going for long term, never use an exchange for such purposes.

2150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin just an asset ? on: August 24, 2017, 11:56:12 AM
I have read in the news that that like bitcoin as virtual currencies are assets and does not have the characteristics or what it takes to be a currency that could meet our modern economic needs. It was said that it does not have the fundamental attributes. What are your thoughts about it?
Bitcoin was invented for replacing all the existing currencies and to remit money, pay no tax and many more. But unfortunately and fortunately bitcoin's volatility has changed bitcoin from being a currency to an asset and we the people who use it are the reason. So yes ,bitcoin is used more as an asset than it is used a currency.
2151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people left their full-time employment to go into Bitcoin? on: August 24, 2017, 07:55:21 AM
I was talking to a friend the other day and he told me that two of his friends has left their full-time employment to concentrate on their Bitcoin ventures. < One in Crypto currency trading and the other into imports & exports, linked to ecommerce >

In light of the fact that Bitcoin is still experimental and very volatile, would you say that this was a good or a bad decision and would you do the same?

How many people have done this already?
Even i have heard many people discussing about quitting their jobs just to concentrate on bitcoin . I really dont think that this is a good idea for you can end up having nothing. If you really want to focus on bitcoin then you can concentrate on it after come home form your job, during weekends, or holidays. But then if you want to start some start of business which accepts crypto as a form of payment ,then i guess quitting your job will be better, other wise it is not required.
2152  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin have a future? on: August 24, 2017, 06:50:46 AM
I just read on Btcjam blog that they are closing down: https://blog.btcjam.com/2017/05/25/btcjam-is-closing/, now I am just wondering if big players in thebitcoin industry are closing down, is there any future for bitcoin really.

I came to know about bitcoin through btcjam when i was introduced there to borrow. Eve in this forum, looks most signature campaigns might close down because of the ever rising price of bitcoin. Most of them have reduced their payout amounts for posting by more than 50%. Is this a good sign or a bad sign for the bitcoin development?
I would say that its a good sign for the development of bitcoin because they are reducing the payouts because they know that the price of bitcoin is going to increase and their clients will be benefited more than them ,so they reduced the price. So as far as bitcoin's future is of concern, then one thing you need to know is that it is going to survive in this world for at least a decade and you can surely believe that!
2153  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to win Bitcoins with Signature Campaigns ??? on: August 23, 2017, 12:54:29 PM
Hello.
I'm looking for effective ways to win Bitcoins. So I would like to know how to join Signature Campaigns ??
Help me understand the procedures and sites where you need to have Signature Campaigns to win Bitcoins.

Thank you for helping me understand how it works.
Technically you don't win bitcoins. You earn them, not win them when the topic is signature campaigns. Signature campaigns are nothing but company that you promote and the company pays you for the posts you make but at the same time advertising for them. Correct me if i am wrong ,i guess thats the basics of signature campaigns. There are 2 types of campaigns i.e.: Payment in bitcoin or payment in altcoins. But for you to get paid you need to make posts that have some meaning and related to the subject .
2154  Economy / Economics / Re: So, you want to be rich? All of you ? on: August 23, 2017, 10:57:06 AM
Just imagine. If ALL OF US would be rich, that means we would live our lives out from dividends, or any passive income of at least $1k a month. Then it would be jawesome, right ? Well, but then I do have a question.
WHO on this Earth would bake the bread for ALL OF US ?
Robots, you might say?
OK, nice idea.
But then, WHO on Earth would maintenance these robots ?
Another robots ?
I don't think so.
Even if so, even if there would be a Skynet of robots, who would not just bake the bread, but also harvest the grains, transport it, deliver to our doors. What then ?
We could eat for free, as much as you want?
Cool, but what about overweight then.
Doctor? But hey wait, NO ONE on this Earth work, so we have no doctors.
OK, we have Doctor Robots.
Who would teach our kids? Robots! Who would change the diapres? Robot!
Even if humans would master all this, we would need to have all the knowledge to teach our robots to work for us. To be slaves for us. (no minds, just pure robotic hands/arms and so on, Tesla's and autopilots)
But even then, there is one huge problem.
I do not want to touch any country, or race, or group of people, but imagine, if you put infinite amount of resources to any kind of animal (including humans), they would reproduce themselves to infinite. Because they simply can. Because parents do not need to parent their kids anymore, because we have robots! So we would need a limit of reproducing, no right to reproduce as much as you can handle (infinite resources), because we would simple have like 50-100billion people on this planet, and there would be no robots who could grow so much grains to bake bread. (perhaps hyper dense pills could be the away).
So, back to the original question, why do people believe, they all can be rich ?
It was, is, and will be, ALWAYS about that who is going to earn more, not enough, but more than the others.
Why?
If there is only one mansion on the Bahamas, which is large enough, sunny enough, sexy enough, there is no freaking way, ALL OF US could buy it. Just one. 1. One. And if only 10 buyers come with their million, to who would seller sell this mansion to? First ? But second also have million and ALL OF US want to be rich (own that one mansion). So second would have to offer 2 million, right?
Wrong.
No one would want to sell such mansion in the first place, as he is already rich. We all are.
What will we humans do if robots replace us? Humans are the ones who have emotions, passion and dreams. So i dont think that robots will replace humans in all fields of work. And about being rich ,everyone does want to get rich but do you think everyone is smart enough to be rich, one will be rich than the other, and thats the basic rule of life.Everyone cannot be the same ,one is superior than the other in something and viceversa.
2155  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: August 23, 2017, 09:38:27 AM
If you had to convert all your wealth to either Bitcoin or gold and keep it there for 10 years, which would you choose? Keep in mind the fact that Bitcoin has only been around for 5 years, and could be fundamentally different in any number of ways in 10 years.
Gold ,and the reason why would  be that in a few years gold will become extinct and bitcoin will still be there. So the demand for gold will be way more than that of bitcoin. Any business man would choose gold if the choice is between gold and bitcoin because they know that gold will benefit them way more than bitcoin.
2156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Is Your Bitcoin Dream? on: August 23, 2017, 06:33:00 AM
Okay, I am just making that headline short and sweet. What I mean is: What is one big dream that you want to realized out of your Bitcoin income? No matter how small or big it is, please share it with us here.

As for me, I have a big dream of having my own 10-hectare farm somewhere here in my locality and I want to stuff that area with all the fruits I can find here and with my main products which are cacao and coffee.

I guess I have this special connection with the soil and the land that is giving us the food and sustenance daily. And who knows maybe years from now I can be able to issue tokens out of that farm...something like AgriTokens or AgriCoins.

Please share your dreams!
I want bitcoin to grow to its very top,so that  the maximum of us would be benefited . I want to save all my bitcoin ,so  that i will have a ready asset in the future. Since bitcoin cannot be used everywhere,I'll convert bitcoin to fiat and use it for accomplishing a few dreams i have .But i am not sure of what will happen ,so i am just hoping everytime go my way, even though it doesn't most of the time.
2157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is BTC for you? on: August 22, 2017, 09:22:29 AM
What is bitcoin for you? Is it a chance or a scheme to get rich? Or is it actually to keep your wealth to yourself.
What lead you into bitcoin world and what's keeping you here?
Bitcoin is seen as an asset as well as a currency by me. I basically use it for making sure that i will be having money in the future and will be able to use it whenever any emergencies occur . By doing this ,i wont have to go and ask anyone for money and convince them to lend me loan and beg and bullshit. So hell no to me being dependent on someone for money and to be independent is what i  want.
2158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminality and Bitcoin on: August 22, 2017, 06:39:41 AM
https://www.deepdotweb.com/2016/01/23/bitcoin-playing-an-increased-role-in-crime-europol-says/

Would you believe that the existence of bitcoin has increased the number of criminality in  some countries in the world. This is the issue that was being thrown by the EuroPol and the UK Metropolitan Police. According to them bitcoin has played a huge role on the increasing criminality in their area. They added that a huge number of cybercriminals were using bitcoins in their activities.

This just shows that as bitcoin develops both advantages and disadvantages will tag along.
Not only bitcoin ,anything and everything will have advantages and disadvantages, and they start growing, their advantages and disadvantages will grow along with it.It hardly takes some time to find a loophole, but to make sure that loophole will be  never found  is next to impossible. So like it or not bitcoin is getting a bad impression and we are getting a bad impression as people think that all those who use btc are criminals and nothing else.
2159  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I cash out my BTC now? on: August 21, 2017, 05:22:02 AM
If you had your payment in BTC, would you cash out your money or you would wait increasing of cryptocurrency?
I guess not,i am gonna wait ,save for the future when the price more than twice of now or even more. But not now for sure,no way. I am one of the people who think of bitcoin as a future asset. So why would i sell? So i am not cashing out now ,and believe me if you save now you won't regret in the future.
2160  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin prices rise high on: August 20, 2017, 10:19:21 AM
Many people are now curious to know what bitcoin is, whereas once bitcoin was just underestimated, now upside down many people stop working instead they prefer to focus on bitcoin

Is this the impact of rising bitcoin prices?

I don't know why people are wasting their time on bitcoin by quitting their jobs,i am not saying bitcoin is of no use, what i am trying to say is that dont quit your job for the sole purpose, have a bigger purpose for quitting your job,if you really want to focus on bitcoin then take a month off(max) and learn whatever you want and after that month try to earn during your free time,or on weekends.
