1661  Economy / Reputation / Re: 100% sure Lauda is a fraudster on: January 19, 2018, 11:25:23 AM
1) Lay down your claim with enough proof.
that is not confession for sure 100%. when a hero account is worth 0.01, then you lost 0.01 when got red tagged. I just stating the fact, there is no admission.
i have not promoted any hyip.
Stating the "fact" is what you admitted ,you fucking dumbass.
I left you a neg as well - this doesn't have a lot to do with me.. but negging pricks like you is rather therapeutic
a bit like when you stamp on a cockroach or similar
What in the frick's world? Do you even know what shit you're blabbering about? You negging him won't do anything. Moreover,if anyone has TheUltraElite in their trust, the neg rating would just increase when someone views your profile. You seriously have no clue on how the trust system works.. Roll Eyes
You and Lauda both actually have red tagged by other DT member. LOL
And you're actually yet another butt-hurt troll who doesn't know what exactly happened.
I am not guilty of anything. The burden of proof is always on the party who made the accusation. It is also a common sense.
hat is clear from the whole thing is Lauda’s dishonesty. That is the highlight.

Anyway I am extremely happy to have exposed Lauda’s dishonesty.

I have only lost 5mbtc for this account which is insignificant.
Not guilty? Who told you so? Self-assumption? Boy,that's not good...
You haven't exposed jack-shit about lauda, rather your foolishness is exposing your own mistakes and stupidity.
Argh.. When will people get rid of their stupidity Angry Angry

Though most of them have been tagged here. And I believe there are at least 100 of transaction accelerators in the services board, and people who seek the "services" are either newbies or Jr.Members. Probably its just their alt accounts to indirectly bump their threads everyday so that they won't be banned for breaking the rules.
1663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Indonesia bans Bitcoin on: January 19, 2018, 10:48:30 AM
Great!! A lot of shitposters would get the heck out of this forum? Even if not, its not going to affect the markets much because Indonesian traders don't affect the markets by much margin. People will talk about for like what,2 days at the maximum? Its only the people from Indonesia who'll be affected by this move made by the Indonesian government. Some people who might have been depending upon bitcoin as their main income ,would be affected the most. Feel sorry for them but then who cares. Wonder if people go abroad just so that they can use bitcoin Shocked. That would be fascinating and astounding to a greater extent. But can they survive there, for they can't speak English for shit.
1664  Economy / Economics / Re: Reliability and perspective of cryptocurrencies? on: January 18, 2018, 07:26:29 PM
Do analysis of mainstream analysts about development and the future of cryptocurrencies serve to make confusion and create suspicion in the reliability and perspective of the cryptocurrencies?
Maybe they do to some extent, analysis can be a confusing process. Especially if you are a trader. It depends on how you tend to do it. If you use websites, every website has its own uniqueness, sometimes data from one website contradicts the data on the other, the subject in question being the same on both. Now you can get confused on which website is correct in terms of data. Media on the other hand also confuses people.
What can you do about it?
You interrogate. Ask people on various people on the internet, forums and the like. Because people tend to be cunts in real life but in the internet not so much. So you might get some good expertise on your subject.
In your analysis, try going through various modes of research and then take the final decision.
1665  Economy / Economics / Re: Weak Hands lose money, strong hands makes profits in this game! on: January 18, 2018, 06:36:27 PM
Isn't that the best thing ever Tongue Idiots, illiterate and people who are nothing but nescience sell of their holdings scared of getting a loss, I don't get why they want to sell at a break even point  Huh Like can you not have a little bit of patience, like ever? It ticks me off, not much but a little cause the markets go down and consequently it becomes a cause in trades. But at the same time opportunities appear to buy during the dip but if trades get distorted, the position to buy sometimes gets compromised.  Undecided
1666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dips Are good For Crypto on: January 18, 2018, 04:32:20 PM
These dips are good for two reasons

It allows people who haven't invested yet to invest

It brings awareness to the market, growing the potential investors
Yesterday/day before created one of the best dips in the market, and the recovery, need I mention about it? The markets were down by like 40% for all cryptos and today morning the markets had gone up by 40% and still rising. Bitcoin and Ripple were the best. Bitcoin dropped till ~9500$ and Ripple had dropped till ~0.90 $ and it went to like 1.65$ today. That's almost a 83% profit in a day.
Btw,growing the potential investors? Nah. It doesn't. More and more panic sellers and dumbasses appear in the markets nowadays, like it or not. You know who is buying bitcoin, its for one the whales, two are the users who trade in significant but not so great amounts and small petty investors who are new to the market. Others, they are just waiting for bitcoin to drop to $3,000 and are living in their own dreams.
1667  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Sell all to USDT when everything goes down ? on: January 18, 2018, 04:03:58 PM
No  you wouldn't want to do that. After I heard about the fucking shit that bitfinex and tether hack, I really wouldn't trust tether at least for now if not for ever.  Secondly, if you really want to sell your whole stash, bitcoin should be better though USDT is more stable, choosing bitcoin would be a better option, at least for me.
If you don't know what happened to the tether hack, here's an article :- https://www.theverge.com/2017/11/21/16684296/tether-cryptocurrency-stolen-30-million-hack
1668  Economy / Reputation / Re: aTriz farming trust on: January 16, 2018, 04:51:37 PM
I really dont understand all the hate for Atriz ? what has he done?

chucked you out of a campaign? not allowed you in one?  touched your bottom??  come on tell us whats the real reason for all this shit?

One atriz has "green" trust. They don't like him because he has green trust, not sure why that stupidity is here though Huh
And maybe one or more of his alts got rejected by atriz in any of his campaigns. Butthurt trolls form out of nowhere for the silliest reasons, so hate just gets created out of nowhere. One leaves, 10 join in. And this too:-
I'm guessing it's partly related to the formation of "ALU". Hatred for Lauda may likely spill over to aTriz.
Regardless, I'm not seeing any reason to be accusing anyone of trust farming here.
Edit :- Nvm. This user is just posting here because he wants his negative rating removed and I don't think he has any issue with atriz. However he has an issue with Lauda regarding the Jamal's case which isn't evaluated yet properly but yet those who have been dealing with Jamal have been left with a negative rating by Lauda already, a few of them if not everyone.
1669  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you see the bitcoin economy 10 years from now? on: January 15, 2018, 07:15:49 PM
There exists more than one thread/s asking the same question. So please lock this topic because it gets more infected with shitposters.
Widespread user base and acceptance is one thing that the community expects. Prices to go up more, preferably. Legit and good exchanges for trading crypto is a requirement that needs urgent consideration. The argument for it can go and on, about where will bitcoin, the pros and cons will be compared by bitcoin economists, and arriving at an exact conclusion is not possible, as there aren't many economists specialized in Bitcoin. So yeah.
1670  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: should you advise me to buy bitcointalk account? on: January 15, 2018, 07:00:00 PM
Hi guys I've been around for long time but haven't used this forum before. But I jave deep understanding about cryptocurrency I was mainly hanging out on some online groups and chats.

I see that the higher the rank is the more money you can get by advertising here. I was looking here to buy maybe an account here so I don't have to wait months. Seems that accounts are not that much expensive either if we take into consideration that you can get that money back within a month or two from forum.

Things I don't like and which are stopping me to buy: don't know if anybody will do an escrow, that account could be hacked, account can be linked to some bitcoin address and saler can sign message and reclaim account back. I mean there is high risk involved and on the other hand I see some users like Luda adding negative feedbacks if they spot that account is bought....

Would you advise me to try to buy an account?  If so please tell me how can I do it safe so I don't get played from saler and don't get negative feedback please

Thank you in advance
Try doing so, you'll have a nice red colored tag under your name.  Kiss Consequently, you won't be able to sign up for a signature campaign and shitposting can be avoided, at least for one person.
And oh,
* Luda will slap you with a nice fresh trout for buying an account for participating in signature campaigns Roll Eyes
1671  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I dont like daytrading on: January 15, 2018, 06:31:31 PM
Every one has their own views and opinions, right? Some love day trading, some don't. Some prefer to just buy and hodl that coin for long-term. You don't like day trading, don't, just buy and sell whenever you get a profit then. Day trading is not for everyone, so guess that defines it. My say is that I have so much while trading, I have got a few losses but I have got way more profits. How? Analyzing situations accordingly and I do not have the habit of getting scared and panicky when prices go down. I guess thats it.
1672  Economy / Economics / Re: Some things to consider before starting a business on: January 15, 2018, 05:52:45 PM
The main goal should be Profit Maximization. Subsequently to achieve the goal primary objective, there requires 5 essential standards.
  • Planning - > Lay out the plans and objectives to be achieved in the span of the business's existence.
  • Organizing - > Laying out on how your business should be formed and setting up the basics, your business startup and the like.
  • Staffing - > Hiring employees, managers etc.
  • Directing - > Enforcing the previously laid out plan to actions and achieving the objectives one by one.
  • Controlling - > Monitoring the work being done and analyzing deviations and correcting them.
1673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can I make much money mining Bitcoins? on: January 15, 2018, 09:23:26 AM
Well the difficulty of mining keeps increasing so earnings from mining bitcoin has ever constantly decreasing. Plus for mining bitcoin you need to have the latest updated GPU and you obviously incur more cost on electricity, so obviously you're not in a profit stage in the beginning. You can get a little profit like after one/two years. But until then you'd have to take the burden of the expenditure on yourself. But if you're really looking to mine something, you can mine altcoins. They can be more profitable than bitcoin mining.
1674  Other / Serious discussion / Re: 2-Factor Authentication on: January 15, 2018, 07:50:58 AM
This shouldn't be the case and especially so with an authenticator.
If an authenticator has a predecessor of the name Google, users would go for it. However they might not go for authy or something in the first place when they know something called "Google Authenticator", exists. Plus, most websites who have 2FA enabled recommended Google Authenticator.
The main reason why I wouldn't use Google authenticator or Authy is because it's not open source. There's open source alternatives which have been mentioned above which are simply better. Before you say Google authenticator is open source, the app which you download on the store is not.

Also, for their multi device feature to work, then your keys need to be stored on a server for it to work. So they certainly keep records/data. These are encrypted by the backup password you set. This is encrypted using AES and a randomly generated salt using PBKDF2. So the data is stored otherwise, it wouldn't be possible to restore access using another device.
True that. Google is highly overrated in some places and authy which I have been using does need a replacement.
I think it's the best alternative but yeah I admit it looks like a prototype from 2000. There is a tutorial if I remember so you can make your own from scratch.
There are other USBs more "swag" for example FIDO U2F Security Key from Yubico https://www.yubico.com/
Yubiko is nice because it has a USB type C, so I did like that. But 50-60$ for an authenticator, I'm not sure yet but I do want to buy one.
Anyhow, thank you for sharing that information, was really helpful.  Cheesy

All his posts without exception are spam, but I can't report them for some reason. Would the mods please look into it and ban him? Thanks.
He has deleted all his posts, he is newbie and has made only 2 posts (?)

Anyhow reporting him is not possible now, or maybe the mods deleted his posts, and the reason why you might not be able to report some one can be because of cloud fare, it has a lot of issues I swear. Hopefully, theymos will fix your issue.

Even if the VPN were locked down and no trace of your IP were leaking, this doesn't mean you can commit nefarious acts online without getting found out.  There are log files on every server.  The amount of time logs are kept varies.  With enough resources and legal action, log files from VPNs could be turned over to authorities.  Once they see your real IP, they simply subpoena your ISP and will find out who you are.  Realize that it can be more complicated than the scenario I use above, but my example is to simply help you understand that you're not truly hidden online.
A good VPN doesn't keep logfiles, so there's nothing to subpoena.
Actually, as a matter of fact they do, most of them at the least, they just don't reveal such information to their users.
Aside from technical possibilities, theymos values user's privacy. That alone is a reason not to do this. And in the end I don't expect it'll stop spam anyway, it's the core business for spammers.
I meant that to be done only so that banned users cannot come back but theymos would not want to do such, so what else can one do?
Followed this guy because I thought that I found a pattern (like they signed up 1 account/hour) but it turns out that there is no pattern. Nuked more than 2 dozen of them already.
Sadly this guy's legion of accounts doesn't end up here, LoyceV mentioned that he had reported around 100 users related to Alex promotion , but there is a possibility of Alex promotions and hypebtc to be interconnected, as they both follow some what the same pattern.
1677  Other / Meta / Re: Hack attempt with .to domain on: January 15, 2018, 06:38:35 AM
What you will get hacking my account? My skills are with me and will be with me, may be you can take tis forum account but any time I will be I.
Simple, bitcointalk.org accounts are now worth way more than a 1000$,given you're a hero member/or you have  a potential activity thing , why won't someone hack it?
Anyhow it would be wise for you to change your password and your email ID as soon as possible, for further security of your account.
PS: Members please look the address everytime as next time the style of hacking will be different.
I still wonder how i got to that link??
It's the internet, you could have got that from anywhere, or maybe you might have clicked something by mistake which would have redirected you to the other website. Anyhow thanks for warning users of that website. Be careful. Cheers.
1678  Other / Meta / Re: Spam from @AlexPromotion on: January 14, 2018, 12:36:35 PM
I've never heard of this either. Tor and VPNs are meant to protect you against this sort of stuff and I doubt even the CIA can find this info if you're smart enough (though I believe VPNs can accidentally leak your IP in some ways). What you might be thinking of is browser fingerprinting though which can be very useful to catch alts and just using a proxy won't help you (and I think this should be on the new forum). You might use a different IP for your accounts but you almost certainly won't be using a unique PC or browser for each of your alts and accounts could be collated and searched by them and cross referenced with other data etc.
I'm quoting the admin of whatismyip.com,he had stated this in quora :
Quote
The WebRTC vulnerability could give away your real IP address.  Even if there were no vulnerability, it could come down to how the VPN is set up.  Are they using tunneling?  If not, then everywhere you surf could see your real IP along with the IP of the VPN.  Is the VPN including your IP in their header?
Even if the VPN were locked down and no trace of your IP were leaking, this doesn't mean you can commit nefarious acts online without getting found out.  There are log files on every server.  The amount of time logs are kept varies.  With enough resources and legal action, log files from VPNs could be turned over to authorities.  Once they see your real IP, they simply subpoena your ISP and will find out who you are.  Realize that it can be more complicated than the scenario I use above, but my example is to simply help you understand that you're not truly hidden online.
Obviously not everyone on this forum is a tech savvy bad ass to be as careful and take all measures for revealing your real IP, but I just realized that it just cannot be implemented on this forum, as I began reading more on it, seems to be really hard to implement and theymos alone will almost find it impossible to do such.  I reckon even a group of highly qualified front and back end programmers would be able to implement such on this forum.
However, a few websites have cracked down this problem but it's not revealed exactly on how they did such a thing.
1679  Other / Serious discussion / Re: 2-Factor Authentication on: January 14, 2018, 11:19:29 AM
This is almost true for anything which isn't open source. .
For a lot of people if not everyone , their belief lies in reputed and "trusted" companies.
I would recommend staying away from Authy, but if you are to use it then make sure to turn off multi device in the settings. This prevents recovery from other phones. If you ever want to transfer to another phone though this option will need to be enabled.
Any particular reason why? I have been using authy and I say it is any day better than Google authenticator, for it doesn't BACK up your fucking data. Almost had a nightmare when I un-installed it by mistake, had to contact so many exchanges to remove the 2FA Undecided
I personally have never had any issues with authy.
You can use a USB like U2F Zero as long you don't lose it you're good to go https://www.u2fzero.com/
... and it's open source https://github.com/conorpp/u2f-zero
Is this any good? I'd love to buy one but the USB looks too old-fashioned and doesn't have a case supporting it, possibility of it to break easily is also a thing to be taken into consideration before buying it.

There are 36 posts in the Ivory Tower, and 31 post it this thread which is talking about it. Just in case you don't know where the board is - it's here -

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=251.0

The board is sig free, so you can read and post there without choking on the sig smoke that clouds the frog pond ( known by some as the discussion board ).
I don't know why I don't feel posting in that board, feels too weird not to mention the topics are so boring  Lips sealed, to be honest. I agree with the users who also think that the sub-board hasn't been placed in the right place. Rather it should be either a child board of economy /bitcoin discussion. Sounds like a joke when the serious discussion board is placed under the board of others. But that's my personal opinion. And oh, I finally found a topic in serious discussion which is not boring, hurray and finally. So now only the placement of the board is off-interests. Maybe some one should start up a poll regarding the placement of the boards, and some people don't like the name too. Problems of people these days.  Kiss
