1241  Other / Meta / Re: please, Please, PLEASE, can the mods start locking old threads. on: May 18, 2018, 09:26:50 PM
So are they doing it for account sales, or for junior rank sig spamming?

I see he has got a neutral trust, would a red trust reduce the value of the account?
I don't think they are doing this for junior rank spamming. There's much more to this than what meets the eye. The number of bots are increasing, LoyceV has reported like 5000 bots in less than a week and they were only posting in the alternate cryptocurrencies section, there will be hundreds of thousands of accounts in off-topic section itself. Something more serious is coming down, and only theymos could figure out how.

I have seen mods locking topics in the main spam boards, if the bots post here, it'll be handled real easy. There's much moderation here than that in the spam boards.
1242  Other / Meta / Re: Justin Dowman, not following "once per 24 hrs" bump rule (I warned him/her b4) on: May 18, 2018, 08:59:07 PM
This guy has a couple of threads, and even I think i reported him (not so sure). He is still posting, probably a temp ban would bring him back to senses.
1243  Other / Meta / Re: Transfer Ownership Of Thread on: May 18, 2018, 08:57:14 PM
Ask the mods to lock the old thread, you have to prove to them why. And create a new topic. Voila.
1244  Other / Meta / Re: [paid spamming] Newbie Bump Bots post and delete thousands of posts per day on: May 18, 2018, 08:54:35 PM
Or just limit newbies to all but alternative cryptocurrencies section. If suppose they want to post there, buy a copper membership. There is one disadvantage to this, copper membership is relatively cheaper than what the people doing this are making. They would spend the money on this, so probably increase the membership fee or something like that.

Howeycoin will take over btc  Shocked Howeycoin is the father of crypto. Btc sucks. 101. 1000$ profit everyday from howeycoin. #howeycoin is the next btc. #howeycoin is the best investment. #CRYPTO. #best thing ever - howeycoin.
1246  Other / Meta / Re: [WTF] I reported a post for plagiarism and my accuracy rate went DOWN!?! on: May 17, 2018, 11:47:32 PM
Mods/admins , does the accuracy of reports go down if the reports are unhandled? I seem to be in a little confusion here, my accuracy went down by like 9-11% when I reported a few posts(a few days ago - I assumed they were bad reports) but according to the new report page, I only have 2 bad reports and 11 unhandled reports.
1247  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Localbitcoins confirms ID verification and one account per person on: May 17, 2018, 11:35:21 PM
There is not a compulsory ID verification for all accounts, and even if you do,you need to disclose your details of you and your bank, every time you do a trade. As it is,its a crypto-fiat trade and not a crypto-crypto trade. This might actually be  better for your future trades.
1248  Economy / Services / Re: A simple bitcoin Q/A. Learn new and interesting stuff about bitcoin. on: May 17, 2018, 11:24:56 PM
A coinbase transaction is a special transaction that transfer new generated coins to a miner's wallet. It's the first transaction of a block.

Whoever solves the PoW puzzle faster creates a new block and receives it reward. This reward is a newly generated bitcoin, called coinbase.
Example:
https://blockchain.info/tx/451329336cfaa7896fb4aba504bb3acd9964fc27b3fe6bbbf05615d19df313a1

A regular transaction is any other transaction, which does not involve newly generated coins.
Example:
https://blockchain.info/tx/e038d1191d09eed13ef8e4d87f95b0e3499c63aaf7bc14001e099a4e5bf50172
You just got your 200th merit and good explanation.

Question :  What is a cryptography nonce?

1250  Other / Archival / Re: Abuse of power by suchmoon, who is responsible for him to be on DT? on: May 17, 2018, 08:21:18 PM
Digaran, remember when you told people to report thousands of shitposts to help the community or donate 200,000$(1) to the forum so that they could get their "negative tag" removed, why not do what you preach? I dare you.

I shouldn't have to wait forever, if there is no evidence of me being a scammer I should have neutral trust instead of negative trust. if you guys are friends with each other and counter each other's trust ratings, nobody is doing that for me, why should I join your club if there is no seat for me in it? my reputation is at risk here, if this is the standard of dealing with people, let us know. if suchmoon could counter owlcatz negative trust and leave me to be called a scammer by default, let us know. if you are willing to close your eyes for your friends and open them for me, let us know.
If you see that there is no need for me to be called a scammer by default you should tell that to suchmoon, otherwise it could continue like this if nobody is fixing the mistake.
Man that's how life works. Suck it up. Its not anyone else's fault if you can't prove or even seem to others as a trustworthy person. You have to blame yourself for the consequences caused by your own actions(which is your post history and your sarcasm that almost no one understands).

As per digaran's trust ratings to others:
1251  Other / Meta / Re: An easy question - post count in BTC on: May 17, 2018, 02:02:04 PM
Ok, so posts on ANN threads, of which I am currently moderating and updating do not count. Ivory and Serious do not count. I am ok with that, in fact I am asking this out of curiosity because I do not care at all about my post count for practical purposes.

But, the "trash thread" thing is a bit more intriguing. How do I know for certain, apart for my own judgment, that a thread is considered trash.
Posts in ANN threads do count if I am not mistaken.

And about judging a thread whether it is thrash or not, here are some outright examples of sort:

- Thread started in spam boards(bitcoin discussion, economics, speculation, trading discussion, and altcoin boards) and the thread is absolutely worthless with no legitimate ongoing or any discussions.
- Threads talking about <insert any crypto here> going to the moon or any stupid stuff.
- Threads being duplicates of the ones in the past and same posts being posted again.
- Threads being created by breaking any of the forum rules.
- Threads asking for illegal advice/things.
- Threads saying stuff like this , this, this, this etc. You'll start to get it once your posts starts to get thrashed.
P.S. your title is way too misleading.

1252  Economy / Services / Re: A simple bitcoin Q/A. Learn new and interesting stuff about bitcoin. on: May 17, 2018, 01:42:22 PM
Question :  What is the difference between a regular transaction and a coinbase transaction? Do explain the both type of transactions with or without any examples.
1253  Economy / Services / Re: A simple bitcoin Q/A. Learn new and interesting stuff about bitcoin. on: May 16, 2018, 11:29:13 PM
Well, they had to choose the use of one of the endian representation schemes because numerical data needs to be stored and manipulated in its binary form in the blockchain one way or another.

This comes from the fact that digital cryptography used in chain usually operates on the data in the bit level (binary form), so programmers needs to be aware of what kind of representation/storage scheme is being used so they can write algorithms that correctly manipulate the data.

Hope it helped!
Understood something, more than what I expected. Thank you.
i found some info about it

Understanding, Extracting, and Analyzing Blockchain Evidence Nick Furneaux ... of hexadecimal, you need understand a computing concept called Endianness.
Its not clear enough and it's very vague. But I do know that I need to understand and even learn what Endianness means.
1254  Other / Meta / Re: How Secure is BitcoinTalk? on: May 16, 2018, 11:07:29 PM
This isn't a good example of me being a "rebel", since there's ~no legal risk in refusing to help police who don't have a court order, and there's even less risk when they're not even trying to enforce a law which exists in the forum's jurisdiction. Anyone in the US who would help foreign police with a Bitcoin ban is seriously misguided, at the very least.
What exactly is a bitcoin ban? I am probably assuming the ban from this forum? Also do explain your last point.
1255  Other / Meta / Re: Time to stop the scam stream ! Bitcointalk should stop chasing money this way on: May 16, 2018, 12:08:05 AM
lol tried dozens of websites, kept getting the proxy error thing. till i found one that worked !.
Use imgur (imgur.com/upload) from next time.
Guess I wasn't clear by this, maybe lock this topic and continue your discussion in the previous one. Otherwise the same points will be discussed over and over again.

Guess you finally figured out how to post an image, didn't you  Undecided
1257  Other / Meta / Re: Are the monthly distribution of sMerit fair enough? on: May 15, 2018, 11:07:39 PM
I think that is a misuse of sMerit by you guys.
Of course now you know everything, Sherlock. DarkStar_ did answer your question, you were too dumb to understand that, so yahoo62278 broke it down gently so that you could understand. Did you even read the official merit thread?

Now do you want me to break down the above two lines also for you?
1258  Other / Meta / Re: sig campaign- what about "1merited post per week" instead of"25 post per week" on: May 15, 2018, 10:25:40 PM
If all managers do this, then things would be fine, without needing to heavily change up how campaigns work, and open up new avenues of abuse.
Only thing : Bounty managers don't give a rat's ass about it. And half or probably even more of the bounty managers are new to the forum and don't even care to check out the post quality.
I like what Yahoo62278 is doing better, which is to require a minimum amount of merits before even being accepted.  That weeds out a lot of shitposters.
Not necessarily. Yahoo's campaign participants were caught sending merits to one another just so that they could enter the campaign. Hilariousandco found a few of them but that's not the end.
1259  Other / Meta / Re: Mod, please check new plagiarism: Reporting copy/pasting, please permban on: May 15, 2018, 01:16:05 PM
User azguard2(banned) Plagiarized in my own thread :
When a new transaction is signed, it is broadcasted on the Bitcoin network. It will then be collected and recorded in a block. Each block, once constituted, will in turn be broadcasted.
All these messages are public and verifiable.
They make it possible to notify and therefore take to witness all the participants of the Bitcoin network on any new information that enriches the blockchain.
Messages are transferred over the network in a binary format, encoding numbers on 32 bits or 256 bits using the Little-Endian convention.
The Little-Endian convention sets the bytes from the lowest weight to the strongest weight, the Big-Endian convention sets the bytes from the strongest weight to the lowest weight.

For example the number 1 is represented in hexadecimal on 32 bits by 00000001 with the Big-Endian convention and 01000000 with the Little-Endian convention.

The number 1 on 32 bits with the Big-Endian convention:
 Byte 3 |  Byte 2 |  Byte 1 |  Byte 0
--------+---------+---------+--------
     00 |     00  |     00  |      01

The number 1 on 32 bits with the Little-Endian convention:
 Byte 0 |  Byte 1 |  Byte 2 |  Byte 3
--------+---------+---------+--------
     01 |      00 |      00 |      00
God damn you. Do you have to copy paste this without siting a reference? I ran this through plagiarism checker and 97.5% is Plagiarized:

Are there competitions for Arabs?
This is not a competition, atleast not exactly. Anyone can answer questions here. And you did not even read the OP.
