2141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: American convenience store chain now accepts btc, etc, litecoin dogecoin payment on: May 30, 2021, 02:49:10 PM
So particularly about dogecoin, what do you guys think can happen to dogecoin if it continues getting this kind of listing in crypto payment.
In the past Dogecoin was used as a fun coin in gambling sites and with the increase in interest for the coin because of certain people who was promoting them it looks like they target is achieved and they can now claim that their tweets turned a meme coin to a paying currency for good and services and this is the initial steps and the Doge fans are hoping that every store starts accepting Doge as a payment option   Wink.
2142  Economy / Economics / Re: Will crypto lead to the next financial crisis? on: May 30, 2021, 11:44:45 AM
Looking at the past financial crises that happened, they all seem to have a few things in common, such as the mass adoption of a new financial product or technology (e.g. mortgage backed securities in 2008, dotcom boom in 2000). Given the extent to which institutions (and some influential figures) have been manipulating crypto recently, do you guys think this narrative is likely?
It is true that we had many narratives whenever there was a global economic crisis and it happens whenever the market reaches a point of speculation that would rally without making much sense and eventually it will lead the market to fall unconditionally and hopefully we will not see that situation here.

We are already struggling with the pandemic situation and many countries are printing more money and pumping in the market and it might create an issue in the coming years and we might even see inflation in the market and if everything aligns in the same path we might see another crisis.
2143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 30, 2021, 09:26:16 AM
Well, first there will be PSL in June in UAE and then they can decide any date for the IPL.

The only challenge for both IPL and PSL in UAE at this time is the hot weather.
Yes it will be scorching hot and the humidity will be killing when you walk out during the next few months and even if the match is played during the evening time it will be hard for anyone to play in that climate situation. So dew will be a major factor for the team bowling second.

Personally, I have lost interest in this edition of the IPL primarily because of the gap and the fact that many overseas players won't participate in the rest of the season.
There is nothing else to watch right now and i would have watched if there were any matches and resuming after a gap will not create interest and there will be many changes in the team.

As expected they took the right decision but took it after the mess. IPL 2020 was a huge success but 2021 is a huge mess. I completely agree with you it's BCCI's greed that caused this problem. Most of us won't be intrested in watching the matches now.
They were over confident about conducting the matches in India and i am sure the decision might be taken because of the government assurance as well and even the government had no clue about anything that is going on and all they look for is the money they would be getting as moving outside will increase their expenses.
2144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All the crypto industry is running by shills on: May 30, 2021, 07:30:25 AM
Especially the smaller market cap coins. But even big coins like XRP, ADA etc I can almost gurantee you that they are paying for shills.
Don't beleive everything you see in Youtube and in Reddit. ADA to $10 eoy
Theta to $1000 and all of this shit.
I do not disagree with this view point as the developers might be paying for shilling their project and during the bull run they might be employing these tactics to attract investors thereby making a huge profit of themselves as well. This nothing new and so is the reason you need to be smart enough to understand these trends and if the shilling is higher make sure to get in and get out at the right time rather than holding till the end  Grin.

Youtubers get 30K for 1 video to talk about the coin
You mean $30k for a video to talk about a coin, i guess that is not the truth because it is serious huge money.
2145  Economy / Speculation / Re: FUD-slingers saying 20K this weekend... on: May 29, 2021, 07:31:06 PM
Bitcoin price has always been pretty volatile, and even with the price surge this year it still does not come close to the price swings of 2014 and 2015. Bad news and FUD are part of the game, as are good news. How you turn them into an advantage is the art of it.
I do agree with you, people who are new to market might get frustrated with the constant fluctuation and they have no clue because they are seeing those for the first time, it is true that the price was volatile in the past and every negative news in market could swing the market a long way and even during a rally you would search for the top news for the day and check whether it can make any changes to the valuation in either direction and then take the position accordingly and you worded it right.
2146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China bans mining is good for Bitcoin on: May 29, 2021, 02:11:45 PM
In my opinion, although China's new policy of prohibiting mining will cause the price of Bitcoin to fall in a short period of time, but for a long time, it is good for the development of the Bitcoin ecosystem.
Forcing miners to shut down is not good for any ecosystem, we are a decentralized market and having miners in different location is always better than narrowing them.

Currently, China has a large number of Bitcoin miners, and most of them join the industry just to make money. I don't know how miners in other regions will deal with them after they get bitcoins, but in China, in order to pay electricity and other fees, most of the bitcoins will be sold directly on exchanges. This will put a lot of pressure on the price of Bitcoin. If China completely bans Bitcoin mining, this part of the mining machines and computing power will be transferred to other countries, or some long-term holders. As far as I know, every day China sells bitcoins worth tens of millions of dollars. Without these sellers, the price of bitcoins would be more likely to rise.
The miners have invested heavily and it is not a small process and the electricity charges and maintenance charges are really high and what is wrong if they are cashing out to maintain the process. If you are too concerned about miners selling coins you can spend millions to start your own and then plan on holding as much as you want. I do have a sense of respect to these miners as they were willing to spend millions and take the risk building huge farms which helps in the security of the network and there is nothing wrong in maintaining with coins they earn.

If the mining machines and computing power are in the hands of Bitcoin's HODL, it will be beneficial to the entire Bitcoin ecosystem. The Chinese government will eventually realize that Bitcoin cannot be banned, but the lost mining machines and computing power cannot be recovered.
A dream scenario where these mining farms are spending millions per month to maintain the farm and they do not cash out their coins to cover their expenses, how wonderful it would be Roll Eyes.
2147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: May 28, 2021, 08:49:11 PM
Then UFC is not the best place to end his career. He is not McGregor size star. If he wants to get paid and retire, then he should try to sell himself in boxing Cheesy Do some hype, challenge some douchebag (sorry for my bad English, I meant youtuber), eat a punch and get guaranteed millions.
Jon Jones never fights the same way twice and he always changes his reactions and his kicks are a big part of his game and he is not known for his elite striking skills on a boxing level but he can incorporate different attacks. No one in the right sense will challenge or call out Jon Jones apart from champions or other high level fighters wanted to test their skills against the best fighter in the world.

The problem Jon Jones i having is that he is not a big crowd puller and the only times he was able to attract big crowd was his rivalry against Daniel Cormier and that might be the reason Dana White is not willing to increase his pay day even if he is willing to move up the division.

^  Well he did have a good start.  He was undefeated, gifted, good looking and had a good image back then.  But he f*cked it all up in one night.  That’s why the UFC will never ever pay him at the price he wants.  He could’ve been the poster boy of the UFC.
There is no doubt about all these and during his reign before getting into trouble he was showcasing a good boy image while the rest of the fighters and anyone who knew him could see straight through his fake persona he was trying to show to the world and i was of the opinion that if Jon Jones was showing his real character from the start he could be have being a much bigger star.
2148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket - The Hundred (Discussion) on: May 27, 2021, 11:28:26 PM
After the initiation of IPL, a lot of experiments have started happening in the cricket game to make it more attractive. That's good because it is helping to boost its popularity around the world and new players are coming into limelight.
The T20 format is also initiated and developed by ECB in 2003 and then the initial world cup was a grand success and India won the first tournament which changed the format popularity and before that ICL tried to take advantage of the popularity but BCCI killed that initiation and started the IPL copying everything the ICL was doing and now ECB is coming with another format which might interest the fans.

I don't see a lot of changes in the actual format here. Instrad of six balls, there will be five balls per over and a bowler can bowl for two consecutive overs. Hopefully it will give some edge to the bowlers as opporsed to the bastman.
There is no way the shorter format will be designed to help the bowlers as they want to have audience seeing the ball disappearing in the stadiums rather than seeing the sight of batsman struggling.
2149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ray Dalio says ‘I Have Some Bitcoin’ on: May 27, 2021, 10:34:25 PM
Because the price of bitcoin is decreasing for now, do not let us forget that there was once a time bitcoin price was less than 1 dollar, and over the time it has been increasing, decrease a little and increase more than before in a way it will set all-time-high. Bitcoin holders that wait for long period of time will not lose but gain.
If you are aware about a new new asset class and you had the opportunity to invest it is bound to make you a huge fortune and that is what happened with BTCitcoin early investors as well as you can find many millionaires and billionaires because of their wise decision and many had an impact in the fortunes they made through this market because they were able to invest at an early time.

We already have hyped up many individuals because of their involvement in BTCitcoin and we are giving them unwanted mileage in terms of popularity and then after sometimes it will haunt the entire community because of their later statements or actions and the prime example is Elon Musk, so it is better to avoid hyping these things .
2150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Iran bans Bitcoin too on: May 27, 2021, 08:51:52 PM
Iran bans Bitcoin a few days after China did. This is coming after what seemed like an aftereffect of the Chinese action that saw Bitcoin dip severely (it still hasn't recovered from it).
What i find amusing is that the countries that already banned BTCitcoin are banning them again and everyone is panicking that China and Iran and any other country that already banned a few years ago comes out with another statement:D.
China recently started taking action against miners but some are reporting as if China banned BTCitcoin trading recently.

I'm wondering if there are going to be any side effects or consequences for the Bitcoin community with the action taken by the Iranian government or is it just another case of "the snail shouldn't talk where animals with horns are asked for opinions"? Iran isn't such a big name in the crypto space, by the way.
I have seen some big players from Iran in the past but they were already facing issues trading in exchange for the past 4 years as many exchanges ban people from Iran trading in their exchanges and it was hard for them for several years and there are communities which engage in trading using escrows, so generally it wont have a huge impact on the market.
2151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Inner Mongolia strictly reinforces Beijing’s Bitcoin mining ban on: May 26, 2021, 08:36:44 PM
Okay so after that bloody hell market last week and now we’re on a slight recovery phase, the bad news doesn’t stop related to China’s crackdown on crypto mining. just recently, Inner Mongolia has banned Bitcoin mining. It will force these miners to go offshore. This was published just an hour ago as of this time in replying to this post.
So the news of the hour during this rally is that they are forcing the miners to move outside or face regulatory actions and since they are high profile miners with huge investments, they will be forced to move to other regions or sell off their equipment to other miners and some miners are selling off their equipment. Even last year they intervened in the market when they forced the exchanges to shut down or move out of the region and now they are forcing the miners to shut down or move out of the region and the timing of these decisions especially during rallies on both occasions is fishy Undecided.
2152  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the Bitcoin crash an opportunity to enter the market? on: May 25, 2021, 11:41:33 PM
Supporters believe that investors believe that Bitcoin is an effective tool for hedging inflation in the context of global central bank releases. Opponents believe that investors are chasing Bitcoin too fiercely, and a speculative bubble may have formed. Do you think Bitcoin crash is an opportunity to enter the market?
I too had the same thinking when the cryptocurrency market started to rise and it is true that the institutional investors were chasing the coins and investing in it irrespective of the valuation for a long time and so is the reason we never saw any major correction until it reached its all time high valuation.

If you are a short term trader then you can use every crash to collect the coins but if you are looking for the long term, you should have the patience to hold that urge for sometime and eventually you will see a bigger correction so that you can invest again.
2153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we live without btc? on: May 24, 2021, 11:49:04 PM
Can we live Without btc?
I think we Can so then we Don't need it.
This is same thinking process that every government will have that banned cryptocurrency trading, the market is less than a decade old and why would they need anyone to trade in a new market Tongue.

For money Transactions btc its a Bad choise.
Stable coins are good for Transactions.
What are the stable coins you can trust. Why use them when you have fiat.

So btc is Pure speculation its Only the matter of Time When government Will ban Bitcoin.
There is no reason that government Will let the btc to stay alive.
So list me a few coins, forget a few just tell me one coin in the market that are not mere speculation.

Tron Ethereum are different those blockchains government Will use it for stable coins.
But Bitcoin?  What for is it?
No one forced you to use BTC, if you think it is not for you who asked you to use them. Tron and ETH are different in terms of scam facilitators as the amount of scam these created are huge Tongue.
Government will shut your favorite coins first for facilitating scam FYI.
2154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 23, 2021, 09:12:05 PM
Every country have created its own form of domestic cricket structure, but the same weren't found to be active throughout. This is due to the lack of fund, most of the cricket board suffer financial problem. Indian cricket board is the one that is paying the players without any big issue based on the category on which the player falls.
In the past Sri Lankan players were picked from school cricket performers and that is how majority of the legendary players came in the national team and they had a solid selection process in identifying the talents at an young age and groom them until they are well prepared to be in the national team.

Right now i am not sure how the process is going and some of the retired players like Sanath Jayasuriya and Muttiah Muralitharan were funding from their own pocket to improve some of the club facilities after the Tsunami wiped away everything and the building up from that disaster was time consuming and i am not sure about the present situation.

Lack of funds is not the lone problem, in the past they were able to pick the best players and back in the 90s they were not even having funds they are getting now and no one thought they will be competitive against other teams but Arjuna Ranatunga was able to pick together a team that could change ODI cricket forever and the rest is history and now they went back to the situation where they were prior to 1990.
2155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: May 23, 2021, 08:13:34 PM
The tour won't be cancelled. Till now only one player is affected by COVID of both teams. There was something wrong with the other two reports and they have tested negative on their second covid test. The series won't be cancelled unless a large number of players get affected by COVID. Hopefully, BCB will be more careful now about the bio-secure bubble.
The virus is mutating and the scientist are studying more about it, earlier it was not airborne but now it looks like everyone is getting infected left and right which makes me think that the mutated one will spread airborne as well and if that is the case then bio secure bubble will not help either.

Bangladesh won the first ODI today against Sri Lanka. ‘Wanindu Hasaranga’ created a little hope for Sri Lanka but he couldn't fight till the end and lost the game. Sri Lanka is in risky zone of ICC Cricket World Cup Super League points table. They must need a victory at this point.
I thought Sri Lanka could chase the score as it is not a huge score to reach but the inexperience of the players showed big time and the wicket was not easy to bat and the performance of Wanindu looked promising and i am expecting similar pitches for the rest of the series.
2156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost all my crypto gains this not fair! on: May 23, 2021, 07:01:04 PM
In recent days, many traders have decided to fix their losses and exit the market. I do not believe that this is the right decision, and in my opinion, the market has a chance to recover if the price of BTC is above 28 thousand dollars. I think the denouement is already close and we will know in the near future exactly where the market will go.
Majority are in the market for the short term gains and if they miss out on selling at the top and when they see that the market is bleeding they usually think about exiting the market and then cry about loosing the gains they made. Either they need to have the patience to hold for the long term and make a concrete decision about setting a target and you only need to sell once that target is achieved.

2157  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $65,000 the peak of this bull market? on: May 23, 2021, 06:11:04 PM
BTC still holding the $35,000 level. Although we cannot be certain, the technical indicators and Bitcoin psychological trends support the possibility that we will see a rally soon.
Hopefully, Bitcoin will see new all time highs.
The price of BTCitcoin just slid below $32,000 yet again and the technical indicators will not help in identifying the direction of the market, hopefully we will see the market recovering yet again and we might see the market moving on a range for a while before we see the final rally and that is my expectation.

Do you think $65,000 represents the peak of the current bull market?
I hope we might see another rally breaching the present all time high valuation before we see the major correction and that is what i expect but anything can happen in this market because institutional investors have more control over this market.
2158  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you see yourself quitting after this bullrun? on: May 23, 2021, 05:06:34 PM
After all, Bitcoin doesn't seem to be banking the unbanked anymore so I'm not sure if the fundamental reasons I got involved with Bitcoin even exist today.  I certainly didn't get involved to make bankers' lives easier or enrich Wall Street fund managers, so maybe to some in the community it feels more like Bitcoin quit on us.
After all it was the dream of many including me and believed that BTCitcoin would bank the unbanked even without thinking about the hurdles we had to overcome even to come to a conclusion like that. The fundamentals changed a lot and with changing concept everyone evolved as well and that was the interesting aspect i see in the market  Grin.

The wall street investors are here from the last rally and now their presence can be felt as they are investing billions in the market which was the main driving force behind this years rally and they will book their profit driving the market down. That does not mean that the investors who are in this market will quit after the bull run as majority are here for the long run and not just here for the pump and dump.
2159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: Fury vs Wilder III - THE TRILOGY IS BACK ON !!! on: May 23, 2021, 01:13:26 PM
Sadly for Wilder, I think he will suffer another defeat. He was not in the right frame of mind after the loss and will not be mentally prepared to fight Fury even after all this time. I expect Fury to win by KO or TKO within 5 rounds.
I have no idea whether Wilder is training hard to take his revenge and for that to happen he needs to understand his mistakes and i highly doubt he will ever identify his flaws  Cheesy. I am not sure we will see a KO TKO by Fury within 5 rounds but i have no doubt there is no way Wilder is going to connect his patented right hand and Fury will be smart and will be carefully to avoid that.

Even though Wilder has a new trainer it will not negate the fact he blamed his loss to Fury on so many different reasons:
What changes he can make when he was fighting the same way for over a decade, waiting for the opportunity to land that fatal blow and when he found someone who had the movement in the heavyweight division he struggled to land that punch. I am not expecting him to vastly improve his boxing skills but he will be more patient to land that punch and expecting more movements from Wilder.
2160  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Many got REKT :( on: May 23, 2021, 11:07:40 AM
Who did an exit strategy before the worst dip?
I did book my profit when the rally was on full swing but i am not planning to take any steps when the market is consolidating as i am looking for the long term and i might get back the coins if the market falls further and that is the advantage you get when you clearly know that the average valuation of the coins i hold is impossible to reach .

So no matter how deep the market goes, my initial margin never gets affected whether I am shorting or not. I also usually use reasonably tight stop losses
What is the percentage you use to calculate when using stop loss, i am curious because in normal traditional market my calculation will be around 5% but what is the tight calculation in your opinion you use in a highly volatile market like this  Lips sealed.
