^ Yeah same, started well with Salah and Mitoma on the scoresheet but Jesus returned and Saka didn't score, not even Zaha or Wood could do it in a game with many goals. So getting Almiron and DCL won't help me.

My best record was 5 and 6 back when freebets were given out in BTC. I turned them into lovely wins during Champions League, long accas with plenty of Liverpool (en route to final). Those are good memories =)

Good thing we drew on the Bayern/BVB match, Harko, so we both lost out on that, meaning we both get to fight another day. Beautiful prank from Liverpool, shame on Chelski trying to steal the headlines from us Wink

Finally for the first time in all this competition I am 1 point ahead of my opponent but we have completely different answers on all remaining questions!

I see only you got green for the last question, assuming that's just pending the final, but yeah, well done on you for backing Sinner, think he changed racquet to beat Alcaraz's -- though in his interview, he admitted changing tactics, just didn't explain what that change was!

Result means Djoko's back in No. 1!
2143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: April 01, 2023, 05:28:50 PM
Sigh. Can't believe I'm disappointed twice today. And the second time, with BVB, even so by half time. It's the problem of the underdog. You need to settle things early, but you can be brash about it, and end up on the losing end quickly, as happened today.

Tuchel has his first win, but it was supposed to be harder than this...
2144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [NEWS] Elizabeth Warren says she’s building an anti-crypto army in new campaign on: April 01, 2023, 03:08:57 PM
Seems like bad news on the front, but Bitcoin, Ethereum don't have anything to worry about.
Whether she's building an anti army for Bitcoin or not, we don't care about that because there is no way she would do that and it will affect the flow of Bitcoin or the cryptocurrency. Let her organize her anti Bitcoin army and let's see how it will go. We don't need to bother ourselves about the market again because there is nothing again that can affect the Bitcoin market. If there will be any possible organization or army that can crash the cryptocurrency market then that would have happened before now maybe many years ago when Bitcoin price was still below a thousand dollars.

Right. That was not really what I was saying. Global economic pressure and stock market correlation sort of proves more and more that Bitcoin markets (and by proxy, crypto) can, in fact, be impacted.

All I was saying is the headline is not necessarily bad news for crypto users in general. I always say, what doesn't kill Bitcoin only makes it stronger...
2145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 01, 2023, 12:32:03 PM
Yeah 16 games. Chance to take all Slam points but I went for broke and predicted plenty of upsets, just only the first one not going too well. Had Salah made the pass properly to Jota minutes before we conceded, could have been a different half but we are living dangerously.

Re Liverpool partnership, yeah I think they mulled the possibility at one point but that's probably different now with values and direction and all that. I do sort of miss Carlsberg for some reason heh heh.

Only one I ever worn is stuff I bought at Anfield but it has become so threadbare it is just a black tee now.

BTTS was the surest thing today and it hit before 30 mins. COYR!
2146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +85933 units on: April 01, 2023, 09:19:00 AM
Israel, haha.

Anyway, Premier League is back, and it's a game I can't afford to miss, so am actually otw home now on the road.

I completely forgot to put this bet down, Liverpool is away but City is as shaky, if not shakier, than Liverpool, and I know Pep doesn't have the best record against a side that has been known to bully them. This makes the odds high value for me, really! So let's double the bet size for this Wink

If we do well, BVB is up next!

200 units at Fairlay on Liverpool to WIN vs City @5.96. Other odds: 5.2
Units advantage: 76

Running advantage after 43 bets: +4221 (+76)
All-time cumulative: +87,301
Running units after 42 bets (7W|34L): +2746 (-100)

Wow, what a loss. Can't process it now, but why not add another double-unit bet on BVB?

200 units at Fairlay on BVB to WIN vs Bayern @5.99. Other odds: 6.20 (I saw this earlier, but too late to take it, I'll consider another bookie must have it).
Units advantage: -21

Running advantage after 44 bets: +4200 (-21)
All-time cumulative: +87,280
Running units after 43 bets (7W|36L): +2546 (-200)
2147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: EFL English Championship League 2022/2023 on: March 31, 2023, 04:02:38 PM
Hands up here, I can't really find anything that interests me in particular for this match day.

Burnley aren't even 15/10 so that automatically makes them poor value for me... but Sunderland 76/10? Now that almost tickles my fancy if not for knowing how good Burnley will be at home!

Blades/Canaries could be the pick to watch, if EPL's Arsenal - Leeds (which plays at the same time) doesn't interest you! Sheffield have that awesome game coming up against City, Norwich blanked us but international breaks are resets...
2148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [NEWS] Elizabeth Warren says she’s building an anti-crypto army in new campaign on: March 31, 2023, 02:21:04 PM
Seems like bad news on the front, but Bitcoin, Ethereum don't have anything to worry about. It's just the Coinbases and FTXs that do -- isn't that a good thing for most people who still leave their coins on services and use apps to "buy" Bitcoin?

Did Bitcoin suffer after the world's most populous country banned it? Did a single Chinese person suffer in their use of Bitcoin since 2013? Not from my experience! Sure, they can't easily use Binance, can't use Coinbase, but it's only helped spur P2P use there.
2149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 5000+$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: March 31, 2023, 12:26:16 PM
Based on cryptofrka's post (and it looks right to me), I guess I won the NBA question... 2 points for me as got 4 right but all in wrong positions, 1.5 for Harko, but let's see if the numbers add up. I did sense Giannis wouldn't get the top score as he was injured and didn't play the previous game. Wonder who got the most points from this tough question... I see famosos and slam got Tatum and Brown spot on!

On the question, I selected 3 BTTS matches. I had expected that some games might result in a BTTS, but they did not. The matches in the quarter finals have ended. In this question I choose Alcaraz and Rublev meet in the semi-finals then Alcaraz will win. But Rublev was knocked out in the 1/8-Finals by Sinner. Hopefully Alcaraz will enter the final and win.

I went totally safe here. Alcaraz Medvedev, as long as they meet in the final, I should win that round, sorry Harko Wink
2150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io ⚾ Major League Baseball (MLB) ⚾ [Discussion thread] on: March 31, 2023, 10:26:56 AM
Oh we have this type of boost? Might be tempted to follow your steps but I dont really want to randomly pick anything yet, guess I'll do abit research for statistics on flashscore

Yeah! Sportsbet has a boost on each sport every 24 hours, so I use them all the time for football, tennis, even F1, baseball like MLB when putting on early outrights if the markets come out early. Like during the World Cup, I made 4 or 5 outrights, and scored a big hit on Argentina (boosted to almost 10/1 and regular was below 8, and when tournament started, only 6/1).

As you can see, it's a modest percentage boost of around 7-10%, which doesn't make a difference for regular odds (but still useful for longshot)... but a huge difference in heavy odds, like outrights Wink.

BoSox is sentimental for me, but if you look especially after early games, odds can shift a lot and you can still catch great odds early on. Astros won the last season but lost 8 out of their first 14 games -- not an early favourite IIRC.

So I think yeah, good to see pre-season odds, and take some of high-value mid-favourites... that's my strat, don't trust it, it's purely based on odds!

Buwaytress what do you have to say about your team going up against City this weekend? Any hope for Loserpool?

What's the update on Tennis guys?

Duh, 3-1. I normally go 3-0 or 4-0 but you know, we'll let in a goal or two or three, but everyone on the team wants to win this one, and we'll be extremely physical, which City really don't like. Nunez, Salah will bully. Don't think Diaz will play but maybe he surprises me.

55/10. That's got to be the best odds we'll get all season in EPL.

We've never been the favourite against Citeh but Klopp and Reds love being the underdog.

Tennis? Medvedev through, so no surprises yet, everything going to everyone's plan (except Harko and Tsitsi haha).
2152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io ⚾ Major League Baseball (MLB) ⚾ [Discussion thread] on: March 30, 2023, 04:18:18 PM
Well, hey, guess who's back in with another MLB outright winner? Nothing much, just a fiver, but I might be tempted to repeat the thing I did a few seasons ago (just pick a new outright every day til I have 5 or 6). Gotta make use of that daily baseball boost at Sportsbet.

My first, as usual, BoSox @61.50 (boosted from 56/1!).

2153  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will pump soon? Lower interest rates in june. on: March 30, 2023, 03:07:38 PM
Here I am hoping that Fed makes good on their warning and either delay the June lowering or even extend these hikes to Q3. I'll even take a no-rate-movement policy for Q3.

Definitely looks like Bitcoin will rally as soon as they let the foot go off that pedal, though I'm also wondering if we're still in for a major crash shock (which I still think is around some corner).
2154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin go towards DeFi primarily, possibility of centralization begins on: March 30, 2023, 02:05:30 PM
The usual "nothing to hide" fallacy. Whoever said this should consider whether it's okay if his personal financial transaction shown to the public.

Yup. There is that Zuckerberg trial clip that makes its round every now and then, where he's asked if he's comfortable with certain personal information (not just identification data, but who he calls, where he goes, etc.) is shared or is made available. No surprise he said no in the most certain way.

So he knew what he sanctioned wasn't even what he'd be comfortable with. I'm sure anyone who's ever said this would not jump into the same pan.

Took 2 penalties with this week's roster. Still actually have bench players with 1 game, and I feel like I need to keep Saka on anyway, hot form needs to be taken advantage of.

Salah back in my squad, but sold Haaland so it was a relatively easy transfer even with some money to spare. So yeap, banking on Liverpool winning big in 2 games, to cover the penalties.

I think tennis is the most boring sport in the world for me, it makes me sleep every time Smiley
Yeah, tennis isn't for everyone, especially when some games can be played for 3 hours and more. Can't say that I watch it in detail, but I often turn it on in background to follow what's going on. What really makes me sleep is most of American sports like NBA or NHL. Not sport itself, but all these frequent and extremely long commercial breaks Smiley. And fact that most of their games is palyed when it's night in Europe also doesn't helps.

Just in case someone one day quotes this, I did not say that, you intended to quote notblox1 Wink

Watch Alcaraz Fritz tomorrow, matches are shorter in ATP and more digestible, I do agree GS heavyweight 3-hour slugfests can turn people off (I do think with the Big 3 slowly phasing out, this is what I'll actually miss more and more), even I don't watch full games.

Commercial breaks get me down big time too. Which put me off cricket for years but watching the short format T20 in Australia recently was very helpful.

Don't think anyone has a good strategy Betwrong. Odds and stats don't always help either, you know. I think form and a good knowledge of lineup and strategy is best, but ain't nobody got time for that!

2 are my favourites, 2 are my unwilling loyal picks, the rest are likely randos (Mitoma, Wood, DCL)

My MD29 stars:
Salah, Mitoma, Wood, Zaha, Saka, Almiron, DCL
2158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 5000+$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: March 29, 2023, 05:59:16 PM
Ditto on above discussions, also why I opted for Maguire instead of Varane. Too big a game, and Maguire will be pissed at his Euro sending off, enough to be fit and motivated. I put Elanga down instead of Antony, because I feel like he impressed in the last game (3 minutes, 1 goal haha) and maybe ETH will want fresh legs against brutal Toons. Also, someone only LFC_Bitcoin also picked... very pleased to have a like-minded genius/idiot in this BSFL hahaha.

Harko you did put "Anthony" there, so... is that also Elanga or a typo of Antony? Wink If so, then we only have Dalot/AWB as a different answer...

Just few hours after my previous post here, Tsitsi-pass decided to pass on ATP Miami tournament 😒; Just a question if both opponents picks do not make tennis finals, does the player that advances the most in the tournament gets the advantage in the H2H question?
Nope. We are grading only your answers in final. So you can get from 0 to max 3 points in your H2H duel.

Just saw that Harko, haha, I tell you, give up on Tsiti. He was my one hope for a shakeup seasons past but I think we have to move on now. To whom, I don't even really know really. Of the "new crop", I liked the Russians but now Rublev and Medvedev are supposed to be in their prime and going nowhere consistent, I even maybe am growing to like Alcaraz a little, Sinner at times is Djoko-like and Rune is maaaaybe a Haaland of tennis but maybe I'm old or no longer easily excited but I don't feel any strong liking for anyone in tennis right now.

Caveat: I hardly follow tennis and only watch big games, so my bias is extreme =)
2159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: March 29, 2023, 04:32:46 PM
Sometimes that type of games happens, and even though it is rare individually, it is common as a concept. I mean like Czech team doesn't get 1.18 that commonly, and if they ever do, they win that game and it is very very rare for them to lose that type of game. So when you look at that individually, what happened was a rare thing.

But, if you look at "a team that has 1.20 odds to win, ended up losing" deal then it becomes a bit more common and that is why I believe that in general as a concept it's not rare at all. Last year I had a parlay, a ticket that had 8 games, and 7 of those were under 1.40 odds, and you would expect the single game with high odds to make me lose right? SIX!! of the teams with 1.40 chance ended up losing, it happens.

Trust me, I know all about that, even keep a thread that's almost exclusively on upsets worse than that. So I was surprised, but not shocked. Nothing shocks me anymore when it comes to football -- Saudi vs Argentina in the World Cup was probably the one that last came very close to making me "shocked".

Don't usually go for 1.4s on my parlays but I've got plenty of 5 legs of 15/10s that end up all red, so yeah, also not a shocker. Some people like handicaps in that way but I feel like the hit to odds are too strong for me.
