So the odds boost has happened. Most likely because bookies will feel Chelsea will play an actually good formation without Potter in charge, but that works for me and I do think this is finally a good value bet.

Unfortunately, I can't wait for my price boost to recharge at Sportsbet.io but if you take it now you'll get 3.66.

I'll take the less attractive one available on Fairlay. 200 units?

200 units at Fairlay on Liverpool to WIN vs Chelsea @3.36. Other odds: 3.66
Units advantage: 60

Running advantage after 46 bets: +4202 (-60)
All-time cumulative: +87,282
Running units after 45 bets (8W|37L): +3028 (+682)

I'm wondering if Leicester will also get new-manager boost and win, but is it silly to think Nottingham Forest might get something out of crazy Leeds? Steady favourites at home despite only beating Saints and Bournemouth there in the last 7 months...

Tomorrow we will face the Blues away, and I don't think I will bet on this match. We will see if Liverpool can achieve a victory against Chelsea, which itself has not achieved the desired results this season.

I'm dumb, so it's a natural yes for me to the question: will I bet on this match. Had stayed away all week because I felt odds weren't good enough. Chelsea will probably spring a proper lineup now they don't have Potter overthinking things...

So I managed to completely forget about F1 over the weekend, checked and I saw I had a relatively poor performance, thanks largely to all the DNFs... so much so even my old "fav" Tsunoda finally got AT their first point haha.

So loads of drama, and supposedly expected, I really need to read up on the next track to see if there will be similar predictions -- these always seem to take drivers out (LeClerc on Lap 1 being the most magnificent dud).
1865  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mixing is NOT money laundering, per se on: April 04, 2023, 12:36:27 PM
Duh.

We can apply it to a lot of things. I might say, for example, despite recent investigations and exposes in the news, gold trading is NOT money laundering. Used for decades and a known tool for money laundering, terrorism, WMD, etc. But we aren't going after people who trade gold specifically, are we? So just because there are powerful networks that clean dirty money through gold trading -- gold sourced from bloody mines in Africa, routed to Middle East, or to refineries in the US, where it can be freshly sold to the rest of the world, doesn't make gold trading money laundering.

Just because bad guy A used mixers to try and clean his ill-gotten gains doesn't make all mixer users bad guys.

^ Yeah, as poor as a lot of the English clubs have been this season, they have done pretty memorable games every now and then, and still probably deserve more time with their managers. But it's hard to really watch PSG and feel entertained. Since Emery, they've been dropping points and wins with every new coach, it's amazing.

Can't see anything really nice to put bets on yet, so we'll revisit this in a few days. Liverpool are about 3/1 tomorrow but I'll wait for odds to get juicier... otherwise I don't think it's value heh.

Will update units calculations then.
1867  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io ⚾ Major League Baseball (MLB) ⚾ [Discussion thread] on: April 03, 2023, 08:06:24 PM
I mean anything can happen but those red sox teams had competitive teams.  Their team just isn't that good.  Over 162 game season they get exposed.  Their pitching staff is mid and their lineup is meh.  And they just lost Xander bogart.  The AL East is too stacked this year.  Yankees got a little better and Toronto and rays should be real good too.  Sox and orioles will be fighting for basement rights.  And as a yankees fan couldn't be more happy about it 😀

Well, they also had really good teams who didn't win it for decades, and not that I know very well, but I don't think the top favourite of each season I've looked at has won it. That means no Astros?

Speaking of Yankees, I just saw an old rerun of Seinfeld where Constanza just got a job at the stadium. This was the era before Sox broke their curse.

Bosox basement rights, indeed, getting spanked 9-10 to Orioles!

@buwaytress : tried to bet by using your trick today, decided to go with favourites Houston Astros on my 1st one. Placed higher stake on this and will gradually lower the stake as I choose another option with higher odds. Probably will bet a total of around $100 or something on all these outright bets though

Yeah, fire and forget. If you lose it, it's forgotten by the end of season anyway. If you win it, nice bonus to end the season (that's how I always see these outrights!).
1868  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 03, 2023, 01:34:47 PM
I've always knew you're just a blatant spammer, that supports Liverpool.

I do hope you're enjoying the game man, there's nothing more suiting than knowing, I'm going to get a win over you in the question about the match, more so with Liverpool on the losing end after a supposedly great goal to take the lead Tongue Tongue Tongue

Haha fairplay Harko, I think even objectively, I notice I probably talk Liverpool a bit too much on forum, even when it's not football or England, I have to find a way to bring them into the conversation. Believe me, I have backspaced and edited posts more over the years heh heh

So with Rodgers and Potter out, this season has made a new record: most managers fired in a single season. Klopp even said he knows everyone is asking why he's still here, "last man standing" he admits.

I agree @LFC_Bitcoin Hendo is past his years but he/Milner are giving way more on the pitch then say, Fabinho, who seems to be giving up running. Even Gakpo was doing more midfield work than Fab when we were chasing back. Also, I still think we're suffering from last season having no break and wringing our players dry. That's not defending how bad they've been, just I think the club didn't act smart to replenish the team with fresh legs etc.

El Shitico is the most accurate assessment of tomorrow's game. Problem is, no more Potter and Rodgers and Conte to help people forget how bad Liverpool is.

Close round and I got my GD back to 0, I probably need to reassess how I answer Liverpool questions, always seems to be my Kryptonite, scored 0 points last round and somehow managed to win this one with only 3...

... but I actually think Igelsea are worse so I'll stick to Salah and co for the cup. Also, Gladbach have been so bad compared to seasons past (except when they meet Bayern of course) but they also get my backing.

That's the tip for my opponent... or is it? Wink nudge. GL to the new guys!
1870  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: April 02, 2023, 05:21:14 PM
How can I forget how bad Inter are? Oh, yeah, when odds against them aren't big enough.

Need to remember to pick against them every now and then for Superbru though! Quite a few of us did well so far with the week's round? And Roma looks on their way... Gini Wijnaldum back from the dead.

Milan is playing Napoli over the weekend, and this seems to be rather unimportant match, comparing to CL QF that these teams are playing
Don't think so, yes Napoli will want to go far in CL but their dream is to get the league title and I am sure they will play every game like crazy until they have secured it beyond any doubt. It will be one hell of a celebration down there and I am seriously thinking of making a visit and getting hammered with their supporters before the big thing. Have some business on south of Italy and just read an article that they have very good prices for drinking and eating out. So....

Yeah they'll be happy and will probably go far in UCL but Scudetto is what they want. Easy Napoli legs on my ticket all day any day, as long as odds make it above 15/10.

And the food is as good as they say in the South too... I gorged myself on seafood daily a few years back, fresh as can be, at extremely good prices!

You said what was on my mind man. We were set up and prepared for Haaland, we forgot that Alvarez actually plays as a "normal" guy. I'm hurting today still, but not enough to put Lyon up for our next upset?

Stop putting underdog bets Slam. Or follow mine =p Real and Barca haven't gone to my selections for a while, but only because they're really that good. Nothing really special to look at for now, either, though I'll have a look-see next round on odds above 10/1.

Benzema hattrick, what a guy.

Did you watch that match? It was middle of the night for me so I did not watch it live but I have seen few snippets today and it was incredible tennis. These 2 are really on top of the game right now and I am thinking Sinner takes this final. He has terrible H2H with Medvedev, played 5 times and lost all 5 so it is about time to win first match.

No, but I looked at some plays, and that was pretty damned amazing, both went for outrageous shots (I don't know if that's the right term in tennis). That's an advertisement for whomever said a couple of days ago tennis is boring Wink

The final is a good time though, perfect end to a Sunday of bad football results for me...

It's still currently all square between myself and buwaytress, as well as the my H2H for the last round freebet with jeremypwr, I have the same answer them for the F1 race, so it's literally going to come down to the, Man United starting XI and the number card between Atletico and Betis, I have 5-6, @buwaytress with 7 or more, while jeremy went with 4 or less, so I'm kind of in a fix of win all or lose it zone against both of them right now.

Seeing the latest "confirmed" and weirdly enough, Sabitzer is in. We have the same for everything, though, so it's just Dalot/AWB we're sweating on eh? GL man!

^ Yeah same, started well with Salah and Mitoma on the scoresheet but Jesus returned and Saka didn't score, not even Zaha or Wood could do it in a game with many goals. So getting Almiron and DCL won't help me.

My best record was 5 and 6 back when freebets were given out in BTC. I turned them into lovely wins during Champions League, long accas with plenty of Liverpool (en route to final). Those are good memories =)

Good thing we drew on the Bayern/BVB match, Harko, so we both lost out on that, meaning we both get to fight another day. Beautiful prank from Liverpool, shame on Chelski trying to steal the headlines from us Wink

Finally for the first time in all this competition I am 1 point ahead of my opponent but we have completely different answers on all remaining questions!

I see only you got green for the last question, assuming that's just pending the final, but yeah, well done on you for backing Sinner, think he changed racquet to beat Alcaraz's -- though in his interview, he admitted changing tactics, just didn't explain what that change was!

Result means Djoko's back in No. 1!
1876  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: April 01, 2023, 05:28:50 PM
Sigh. Can't believe I'm disappointed twice today. And the second time, with BVB, even so by half time. It's the problem of the underdog. You need to settle things early, but you can be brash about it, and end up on the losing end quickly, as happened today.

Tuchel has his first win, but it was supposed to be harder than this...
1877  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [NEWS] Elizabeth Warren says she’s building an anti-crypto army in new campaign on: April 01, 2023, 03:08:57 PM
Seems like bad news on the front, but Bitcoin, Ethereum don't have anything to worry about.
Whether she's building an anti army for Bitcoin or not, we don't care about that because there is no way she would do that and it will affect the flow of Bitcoin or the cryptocurrency. Let her organize her anti Bitcoin army and let's see how it will go. We don't need to bother ourselves about the market again because there is nothing again that can affect the Bitcoin market. If there will be any possible organization or army that can crash the cryptocurrency market then that would have happened before now maybe many years ago when Bitcoin price was still below a thousand dollars.

Right. That was not really what I was saying. Global economic pressure and stock market correlation sort of proves more and more that Bitcoin markets (and by proxy, crypto) can, in fact, be impacted.

All I was saying is the headline is not necessarily bad news for crypto users in general. I always say, what doesn't kill Bitcoin only makes it stronger...
1878  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 01, 2023, 12:32:03 PM
Yeah 16 games. Chance to take all Slam points but I went for broke and predicted plenty of upsets, just only the first one not going too well. Had Salah made the pass properly to Jota minutes before we conceded, could have been a different half but we are living dangerously.

Re Liverpool partnership, yeah I think they mulled the possibility at one point but that's probably different now with values and direction and all that. I do sort of miss Carlsberg for some reason heh heh.

Only one I ever worn is stuff I bought at Anfield but it has become so threadbare it is just a black tee now.

BTTS was the surest thing today and it hit before 30 mins. COYR!
1879  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +85933 units on: April 01, 2023, 09:19:00 AM
Israel, haha.

Anyway, Premier League is back, and it's a game I can't afford to miss, so am actually otw home now on the road.

I completely forgot to put this bet down, Liverpool is away but City is as shaky, if not shakier, than Liverpool, and I know Pep doesn't have the best record against a side that has been known to bully them. This makes the odds high value for me, really! So let's double the bet size for this Wink

If we do well, BVB is up next!

200 units at Fairlay on Liverpool to WIN vs City @5.96. Other odds: 5.2
Units advantage: 76

Running advantage after 43 bets: +4221 (+76)
All-time cumulative: +87,301
Running units after 42 bets (7W|34L): +2746 (-100)

Wow, what a loss. Can't process it now, but why not add another double-unit bet on BVB?

200 units at Fairlay on BVB to WIN vs Bayern @5.99. Other odds: 6.20 (I saw this earlier, but too late to take it, I'll consider another bookie must have it).
Units advantage: -21

Running advantage after 44 bets: +4200 (-21)
All-time cumulative: +87,280
Running units after 43 bets (7W|36L): +2546 (-200)
1880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: EFL English Championship League 2022/2023 on: March 31, 2023, 04:02:38 PM
Hands up here, I can't really find anything that interests me in particular for this match day.

Burnley aren't even 15/10 so that automatically makes them poor value for me... but Sunderland 76/10? Now that almost tickles my fancy if not for knowing how good Burnley will be at home!

Blades/Canaries could be the pick to watch, if EPL's Arsenal - Leeds (which plays at the same time) doesn't interest you! Sheffield have that awesome game coming up against City, Norwich blanked us but international breaks are resets...
