More than 6k btc earned just from ads on this forum, gotta say THAT is a fuckload of money. Come to think of it, the forum could really use the funds and use them in meaningful ways? Like for example, since the forum IS about bitcoin, the funds could be used to spread the right info about bitcoin, like starting a BTT youtube channel, or the idea of having bitcoin based courses, or even some contests/competitions/hackathons all of which could be sponsored by the raised bitcoins. If implemented well, the forum could finally be a bit more fun again. I know theymos has had similar ideas before but just bringing it back up on the timeline.
Also, really nice and neat way of presenting the info it doesn't feel like reading an Excel file.

I know this isn't exactly on topic, but is purse.io in general itself safe? I haven't used it before, and I am a non-US user as well.

Bittrex are thieves. They seized my funds (luckily only dust amounts) with their stupid KYC shit. So I wouldn't be surprised if they're running a new scam now with the "source of funds" nonsense.
Had the same issues, a little over 200-300$ is stuck in my bittrex account until I provide KYC which suck my cock I wont. Also asking for source of funds for an online exchange is shit-tier worst. THEM ASKING FOR SOURCE OF FUNDS IS TWO BLOODY PAGES LONG, um no thanks. They are fucking asking for a receipt for a retirement home. Chances are, bittrex doesn't have methods of verifying anything. People should have stopped using bittrex the moment kyc requirements came in. |

Idea is cool, website is cool, overall cool stuff. I did notice a typo though,(sorry i notice these things a lot, oops):  And in the managers tab, DarkStar_ is missing, and a few others like OgNasty, hilariousandco, etc Also, as for the website, if you're listing the managers, you should link their profiles to btt, or even their socials. And also, an intro to what these campaigns are, everything feels very out of the blue. If a random person visits the site, he'd be very confused for sure.
The problem is that I don't know PHP and other languages to make website fully functional. If there is someone willing to modify the design for Wordpress, it will be great.

My conclusion: The entire package doesn't talk about any direct help for the people. It only talks about cheaper loan availability to the industries. A classic example of directionless leadership.

Its a mess for sure, its done in a hurry-bury sort of thing. Not surprised, given everything happening around us. But I do think, given the situation, a loan is somewhat better than a plain subsidy. From what I have read, and studied about the Indian local community, subsidies are usually granted in very less amounts, in actual USD conversion, a subsidy per household averages from 15-30$. And that's so less. But giving an opportunity for loans, while also increasing its availability, will help for the cash to flow throughout the economy. While people need direct help, its not quite possible. Everything is going to end up in a turmoil, if money is just given out like that, especially for a country that is still struggling to develop. If people are smart, they'll make good use of the ease of getting loans, and work it around for their business. |

Not quite, while developed countries such as US would be able to pull off an DIY approach, others won't be able to. US is a bitch, I think a lot of people are forgetting that.
DIY approach would only be executed by select few countries, who have the ability to. Thing is, everything is in a bad bad BAD state right now, DIY approach could end up causing more harm than good. Its better if Nations collaborate and work together, than to end up suffering alone.

I think, for the most part, whenever account-related escrow transactions are carried out, it somehow eventually ends up to be unethical, and has somewhat become a norm for a lot of escrow service providers to deny such sort of requests. Again, like you said you are not doing this for the money, so don't involve yourself in something that doesn't feel right to you. Trust me, your gut instinct is >>>>>> better than anything else in situations like these.
If you wanna offer escrow services for the community, do it for transactions that you feel would be helping both the buyer and the seller, and avoiding any conflict-ions.

I know " Show new replies to your posts" exists, but that shows replies unrelated to my specific posts, and its a pain to go through all those posts. It'd helpful to have the feature but I also see idiots misusing it and @-ing people just to piss them off. Its going to be a bit long post, so here it goes: Wuhans had this virus for a good 5 months. I think thereve been coverups all round... While the mainstream thought it was a bad idea for trump to suspend who funding I actually don't think they've done great reporting on this stuff....
Texas is going to reopen because of the activism, like a lot of other states. The governors probably fear the protestor since there's not much of an intelligence test for owning a gun and all the protestor think this is a way for the government to "experiment with taking away their rights" - something I've seen far too much of recently...
The US are going to face massive issues from this, the rest of Europe haven't done too badly with their lockdown, 19000 dead in the UK is surprisingly optimistic since aroun 10000 people die every week anyway (the 19000 are additions but it's over around 5 or 6 weeks afaik) - I found the stats from the ons I think they'll be available as a xls format.
The idea of them coming from the lab to me doesn't seem completely unreasonable. We're talking about a genetic strain from a snake interfering with a mammal (I have no idea what it's name was - some non flying bat thing) or a bat which seems quite unrealistic for it to only enter the population then...
I think someone should've clarified trumps sentiment yesterday too with the "disinfectant" (blood plasma) and UV (synthesising uva or Uvb - I'm not sure which). Blood plasma usage and uv usage would be productive but they'll require a lot of research. Artificial UV causes problems with ionisation and damage since it'll be polarised from a light source (my current theory). The use of UV from the sun allows for a production of vitamin D type which allows for calcium to be broken down and strengthen bone and marrow production (and marrow produces stem cells which turn to antibodies).

I ,for sure agree that there have been coverups, and also quite possibly manipulation of the numbers, I can think of several countries that could have potentially manipulated the information and reported lesser cases than reality. As for the disinfectant and the UV, I have little to no knowledge on that particular scenario yet, so I got nothing else to say/add on to it. -zip zop- I do think that China could have single-handedly stopped this had they been open about what was happening. But then again, any other country would have done the same thing to protect themselves and their reputation. Only difference is China has leverage of being a big fucking manufacturer. Even a totalitarian system is subject to fail at one point, and when there's fear of death from a plague/pandemic like this, people give a lesser shit about their leaders. Every country that went on lockdown, has had their cases rise, barely 10% of the countries in lockdown managed to bring down the numbers. If you look at human history, countries almost never face any sort of consequences for their screw-ups, and the bigger the screw-up the lower the chance of it, especially if we are talking about a big player like China. To me this is the saddest part of this who story, China knows well what needs to be done to prevent these pandemics in the future, and they won't do it, because there's no consequences for causing hundreds of thousands of deaths globally.
Maybe this time china will pay the consequence, I mean we will never know. Right now there is bigger fish to fry, and that is to get out of this pandemic first. China can be dealt with later. Its 2020, we have seen so much we never thought we would ever see. And I can tell US wants to overthrow China, they are not going to keep their hands tied when this ends. Like Stompix said, the countries in lockdown are all extremely large countries with huge population, the percentage of countries may seem small, but their population count sure isn't. Countries that aren't/weren't in lockdown barely have a few cases, so it doesn't make sense for them to be in a lockdown. Everyone in the world will think like you, unfortunately, many governments of a country still follow the IMF's advice, they follow what the IMF suggests, not do what is practiced by China, America, Japan, South Korea, Japan, Germany, namely printing money.

I assume the end of the trade war is the beginning of the military war. Now many of the world's military is checking the dominance of US military power. Statement by Chinese military officials and Chinese defense observers that the United States military strength is declining due to the pandemic effect. China carried out its military deployment in the South China Sea and also continued to conduct war exercises in the midst of the Corona outbreak is a form of trying to see the response of the United States. Many American aircraft carriers dropped anchors so that America could only ask for Japanese assistance to patrol.
Now we think simply if COVID-19 attacking medical personnel, military personnel, and the police, automatically the forefront of the war will disappear and will disrupt the health, defense, security of a country which in turn causes a national security threat to a country like what is happening to America today.
There are currently concurrent military actions in the Strait of Hormuz by Iran, in Vladivostok by Russia and Pyong Pyang by North Korea, all of which are testing the US military on its critical point now. Under these conditions, each country must have a contingency plan.
Your theory seems very plausible, and might even be true to some extent. I wouldn't be surprised at all if a war breaks through once this is all over. But I don't expect EU and other countries with moderate military equipment to keep quiet either. Russia may side with China, others won't. I really hope it doesn't get to this. Creating a pandemic to defeat a military strong nations seems to be a vert genius tactic, and so far its working out extremely well for China. I don't really enjoy any of the covid talk, it's tiring and in my work, I'm not now required by clients who want to hop on trending hashtags to also add elements of it to the work I do, which feels almost tasteless to me, but there we go, we need to eat. But since it's you, here are some random (?) thoughts to add to that element:
1. Most governments in the developed world are taking care of those who lost work. Where I am, they will earn at least 90% of their salary if they lose their income or jobs, and in worst-case scenario, they will get on welfare. This is the same in many countries around me.
2. In my home country, government is giving small stimulus packages, like in the US. Instant cash to help, moratoriums on bank loans. But for the majority of people, this will run out in weeks, and doesn't help them pay rent or bills. People already are starving now, people I know are already moving out of homes to consolidate space and bills. Some close to me are moving back to villages to farm. Drastic life changes just so they can eat.
3. I'm in a weird position. Not qualified for anything in my resident country, nor for the aid back home because I don't live there. If I lose my income, there is no fallback plan, I already have seen paycuts, and many of those like me are in deep, deep trouble. So I look around and see people depressed by cabin fever, depressed by lack of contact, but I'm instead squeezing so much more work into my hours in anticipation of shit getting worse. It's not a complaint or a rant. I just wonder how many are like me. Making sure we get every bit of income we can now because it will dry up even more.
I think most of us are sharing the same plight as you are. Scared of losing our jobs, scared of not being able to feed our families and ourselves. And given up on our governments to do anything for us, and even if they do, it won't be suffice enough. I mean, we can get loans, find new temp part time jobs, do trading all that shit, but that will only help so much. This pandemic needs to end soon, and every single government should provide like a stimulus to its citizens every now and then, the US has had a record breaking layoffs throughout history and its just beginning. If countries don't do something, their economies will be dwindling and soon there will barely be any economy to rule over. |

I know theymos had mentioned that making a demerit system would be fairly easier [1], but I definitely don't think it would be a good idea to do so. People will use it just like the negative trust option, i.e. for retaliation. You see, people are very careful towards meriting people, same as for giving positive trust. But when it comes to giving out negative trust, half the people if I am being decent enough, just give negative ratings just because they can. I am not pointing names, but we all know the trust system has been used for everything except for what it is implied for. It would only be a matter of time where people will start getting deranked left and right, if the demerit system becomes a thing.

I will tell you what has changed, back in 2013/14 campaigns were relatively new, and people just started to change their posting habits to fit the criteria of the campaign. What has also changed is that, people lost control over their post quality while in midst of it, and most people just let that happen, either by ignoring it or by gave up reporting posts and left the forum for good.
Also, don't make this a legendary thing, its common for all ranks, just because legendaries get paid more than other ranks, doesn't mean other ranks haven't whore-ified their profile/post quality.
People left because there are noticeably a few good topics here to contribute towards. The idea of topics just keep getting redundant. One person starts a thread regarding merit, 10 others follow. One person creates a thread about fake satoshi, 10 others follow.
It is not gonna change until there is a somewhat rigid moderation system, or good managers for signature campaigns, or if the whole godforsaken Altcoin board is nuked for good.

The idea seems really cool in concept, but on this forum it wouldn't be as ideal. Usually people want to have proof that the product is with the person itself, and that they could use an escrow as a trustworthy third-party to get the item delivered safely.
I don't know if people will be open to this sort of thing, especially when dropshipping eliminates the escrow and makes you the third party instead. Now of course, a fourth party could be involved in this for example, where you ship it to the escrow.
Maybe people would really be into it coming from a rather more trustworthy source perhaps. But one has to start from somewhere to become trustworthy I suppose. Give it a go, see how the community responds. Either you'll have a failed raffle or you'll have a successful one. Either way, you won't lose anything I guess.

The idea seems really good in theory, but one trillion dollars is a large sum of money, and giving it at a 0.5% annual interest would do no good for investors. I mean when stock markets and crypto markets exist, investors are less interested in bonds. Although the stock market is in shambles right now, there needs to be some sort of non-financial benefit/a good enough interest rate if indeed the EU is desperate for money. Also this fully does not have be Perpetual bonds, there could different types. Municipal Bonds could really do well if the whole thing is thought out well [1].
