901  Economy / Reputation / Re: OgNasty tagging me after I called him out on his trust abuse! on: July 18, 2018, 02:48:12 PM
So now it is trust abuse because Og traded/escrowed for those people?

Holy shit, the whole trust system is wrong. All hail digaran and his rules.
902  Other / Archival / Re: Marlboroza is abusing DT power! on: July 18, 2018, 02:26:37 PM
Need I remind you that I'm not a garbage poster hunting for bounties to need a second chance. you look up to DT members as sort of an authority while they are humans, totally random human beings only in a position of default trust list and they are abusing other people. I will speak out against any fucking tyranny whenever I see it. they are deceiving, manipulating and earning trust and money, not to mention that they are corrupt.
You're a garbage poster. You post random shit most of the time.  Wink

And about me looking up to DT members, I might look up to a few members(regardless if they are in DT or not), and there's nothing wrong with it. Just so you know, I disagree with a lot of DT members, and their tags, and that doesn't change anything. Not everyone wants to abuse their power here, and  that trust system doesn't affect anybody IRL. They don't get money by giving trust. That is a wild accusation without ANY proof. And before you say they are corrupt, provide proof.

what I am doing is questioning the legitimacy of their positive and negative trust feedbacks, if people claim that trust system is decentralized and unmoderated, I'm calling it bullshit because it's not.
So you're saying trust system is centralized? In other words, you're indirectly saying every DT member is an alt of theymos, and he is abusing his power?

I'm not harassing anybody here
Say what? Bitch please:

Quote from: digaran's negative rating to Blazed
Here is a red trust for including trust abusers like actmyname and suchmoon on your trust list. you could ignore this like you ignored their actions.
Just look at how many positive trust Blazed has left for others with no reference, he expects us to trust his words, well what happens when people on his trust list abuse other people with their negative trust feedbacks? further more, what happens to those scammer getting a free pass from DT2 members currently on Blazed trust list? e.g, actmyname and suchmoon have the habits of countering legitimate and valid red tags just to give legitimacy to known extortionists and scammers.

Quote from: digaran's negative rating to marlboroza
How many times you are going to delete the evidence of your wrongdoings? this is a re-tag. marlboroza is trying to give a free pass to scammers, he is asking them to remove all the evidence of their scamming attempts and then PM him so that he could remove their negative trust in order to give them a free pass after trying to shill for ICO scammers.

And are you also gonna say that all the accusations and bullshit  truth about DT members not harassment?

Reference:

OgNasty tagging me after I called him out on his trust abuse!

Vod trolling me with red tag!

The Pharmacist is tagging shitposters with negative trust!

Marlboroza changed email address after getting on DT2!

@DT1 and DT2 members.

Marlboroza is abusing DT power!

Do not trust actmyname.

Do not trust suchmoon, a blatant trust abuser.

I don't have Telegram, you will never find a Telegram account associated with me. need I to remind you again what kind of a hypocrite you are?
I think you're lying again. I very vaguely remember you posting a screenshot of your telegram somewhere.

Source?
903  Other / Meta / Re: Application for a merit source on: July 17, 2018, 09:46:12 PM
I award meits to posts that I like, and that I think contribute to the forum. I can't see why anyone would feel comfortable with a different policy.

Moving on - Wouldn't it be useful if I could delegate some sMerits to members like pugman, and then the admins could review the way he handles those to help them to decide on new appointments?
I usually merit posts which have good use of grammar, and has some good insights to the topic being discussed.

Delegating sMerits would apparently be considered as abuse and I have a few sMerits of my own to give away. I am having a hard time juggling things around, just need to set some things up IRL. Thanks for the offer, but I don't think this is allowed for merit sources.

I think this is one of the problems with finding merit sources. At the moment we are pretty much relying on users applying for the position, and having an history of receiving merits, and sending them. This probably isn't the most optimal way of selecting merit sources as not every potential merit source is going to have good quality posts, but may be pretty good at finding, and rewarding others. I know that the listing of 10 posts shows your capability kind of, but users with a history are far more likely.

I think I was only accepted due to the amount of merits I received just before my merit application. I don't know if that would of been the case if I didn't have that.
I am pretty sure there were multiple factors that lead you to become a merit source.

I am not the fan of concept giving Merits to user for delegating sMerits ( As it cause  half of sMerits loss in process.)
But I agree with your choices of considering pugman and seoincorporation and I see no harm in delegating your sMerits to them.

Once again my support for pugman's Merit Source application.
Thanks man. I really appreciate it.  Cheesy
904  Other / Meta / Re: Application for a merit source on: July 17, 2018, 01:48:40 PM
I don't know you already become merit source or not. I think not yet, because you didn't locked the thread. But I strongly believe you deserve it and admin should consider your application. Since I have joined I am following you and I saw your activity and merit distribution well. We need more merit source like you. As I know you not yet become source so friendly bump thread. If you already become hope you will  lock the thread.
Best of luck.
Thank you for your kind words, and your support is much appreciated.
905  Other / Meta / Re: [PARODY] The Infinity Snap. Bitcointalk edition? on: July 17, 2018, 01:42:56 PM
I always report the spammers and such things if i see them and i be online !
I was thinking maybe we should allocate a weeks's time period for this? A schedule , perhaps? And all this would be waste, if the staff's contribution becomes inadequate.

As i mentioned many times, removing signature globally is the fastest solution. All spammer will leave by themselves (along with majority user traffic) and moderator/staff/admin don't need to "snap" them.
Yeah no, that's not gonna happen, at least not until the new forum comes out.  Wink
I try to do my bit every day that I am on. 98% accuracy on reporting  Grin

Sometimes when I see an unintentional breach of the rules by a generally good posting newbie I send them a polite PM with a link to the rules.

Some entire threads should be deleted. ANN threads that clearly  use paid shills or bots  to bump their thread posting nonsense or "good project" - the ANN thread should just get deleted.

They will soon get the message.
The most focus should be on these ANN threads that use shills, those who literally use one-line garbage in discussions, plagiarism, posting phishing links etc.

I am in! In fact I am already doing my best behind the scene.
The comments should be useful, and Welsh's reporting guide could be of great help here. These templates can ease things out.

That's interesting looking at the comments you've left when reporting. Here's one of mine "Ref spam; Whack this fool yo". Yeah, quite happy with that one if I may say so myself.
The wackadoodle is on it.

I am also reporting till now... in future, I will also do the same.
Great. Any help is appreciated.
Isn't that what any caring user does already?
Apparently not.

As long as users can't see who's banned already, it leads to unnecessary work for users and Mods. I can easily find thousands of Newbie spambots using patrol, and I'd love to extend this to Jr. Members too, but it requires some upgrades to the patrol page. And the accounts still need a manual check before banning them. It's easy to find likely suspects, but securing innocent accounts is much more work.
They can see if users are banned. Either by looking at their profiles to see if the signature they were wearing is removed/ to check the modlog.

If there's gonna be a Bitcointalk Challenge to get most users banned, I'm in Cheesy
I still want to hear something from the administration/moderation team about this. Although this isn't a challenge, but just a motivational parody of Avengers: Infinity war , so that bitcointalk users can value this forum for what it truly is. People need to respect the moderation and administration team here.
Or it could be done just with a prank from Theymos like hiding the bounty section for 24hours or a few days with a message "This board has been deactivated". This will really get rid (for real) of some spammers.
Dude this. Best prank ever! I would love it,when shitposters lose their fucking mind.

theymos, reserve this for next April fools day
I've always wanted to ask this and since is a topic about clean-up, I'll do it here
What is nowadays considered a useless post, a low-quality one?
Will the mods delete stuff like: <...>
Yes,they do. They even nuke such newbies.

A low quality post is usually considered like the ones which post in spam megathreads, in the 600th page, saying BTC to the moon, or literally rephrasing the same text that has already been said before. You'll know its a low topic post, once you read it.
Pure curiosity, do you remember what that was and on what section?  Grin Grin
Should be off-topic. That section has a lot of sexual content, ALOT.
So far, what I have in mind is:

- Prepare a schedule, for a week's time, users keep binge reporting.

- Allocate different boards to different users to avoid multi-reporting the same post.

- The current mods aren't enough? I really think theymos should hire voluntary mods, for a few days.

I am looking forward for hearing from the Mods/admins about this whole thing here.
906  Other / Archival / Re: Marlboroza is abusing DT power! on: July 17, 2018, 01:09:53 PM
Bump, marlboroza is helping scammers to get away with promoting scam ICOs and he has tagged me when I tried to help people. this DT2 member is directly moderating the trust system by tagging or removing the red tags on people.
Where? He is not helping scammers to get away. The correct word would be: Giving users a second chance.

Need I remind you, he did the same for you. He gave you a second chance, you fucked it up. Do people have to repeat the same thing to make you understand what is really going on? Even if you changed your terms, you started harassing every single DT member, be it marlboroza, be it suchmoon, be it actmyname, Vod, OgNasty, hilariousandco and not to mention theymos.

Read marlboroza's tag on you again:

This user continues to spread lies, harassing forum members, DT and moderators/stuff, running very shady law practice service which consist of trolling DT members and spreading lies all over the forum.
907  Economy / Reputation / Re: Put a minus in the trust or banned on: July 17, 2018, 12:54:57 PM
these idiots are ruining my reputation, and you should watch yours reputation)
I can prove my words, but can you prove yours?
That reputation doesn't exist. And you have a crystal clear scam scheme. Go away troll, we already quite a few of these here.

I can prove that this troll did my clone and wrote me in personal messages that it is he
stop writing your nonsense in my topics
Anyone can create an account with similar usernames, and it doesn't matter if he does. Its against the forum policies to ban such users and DT members won't tag him because again, your reputation doesn't exist.
908  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: That's how you set up a campaign, well done LoyceV on: July 17, 2018, 12:49:30 PM
Not really, but Reputation isn't the place either. I'm not sure where it should go, that's why I didn't report it.
Service Discussion might be the right place.

The last time I did that, I closed the campaign for Members after 2 days:
<...>
Without the Merit system, I would simply not accept Members at all. With 95% spammers joining, it's just not worth the effort. Thanks to the Merit system, I can allow and reward some of the lower ranks who clearly deserve it.
But you're right, some rare users might be missed this way, but if their posts are good enough, Merit will find them eventually. And until then, they'll have other campaigns to choose from.
Wow. I do think you should check the post history a little bit, and then take necessary action. But I am no one to tell you how to manage your campaigns, you are doing good, so that should be suffice for now.
909  Other / Meta / Re: Please Help Me Admin on: July 17, 2018, 01:27:13 AM
Admins don't accept eth messages. Only bitcoin signed message/PGP signed message.
Do you have a source for this?

I've never seen a conclusive answer from any mod/admin.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4333171.msg39019575#msg39019575

I read somewhere else too, I don't exactly remember where. I searched 5 pages in Google about it, didn't find anything else. But I am sure, I read something around those words.  Sad
910  Other / Meta / Re: Please Help Me Admin on: July 16, 2018, 11:49:23 PM
Wait. If they accept your ETH signed message, you will get your account back. If not, then there is nothing you can do.

I would also post the signed message and bump the thread from time to time.
Admins don't accept eth messages. Only bitcoin signed message/PGP signed message.

912  Other / Meta / Re: Looking for the funniest trust feedback. on: July 16, 2018, 09:29:43 PM
The second made me laugh. I have seen  better funny feedbacks, all of them being butt-hurt. But still gave a good laugh. BRB, I have to look at TP's trust wall.  Cheesy

Found some:

This guy tells the same thing over and over again in like 10 more ratings.

913  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: That's how you set up a campaign, well done LoyceV on: July 16, 2018, 09:27:37 PM
Does this really belong in meta? Huh
Loyce has set up a great campaign, yes. But one thing, do you really need to have the merit requirement? There are some rare users who have good post history but haven't received enough merits. Merit should only be a requirement for rank. Yes, you have to go through every user's history, but isn't that what makes a campaign manager a true campaign manager?
914  Other / Meta / Re: Global Moderators fired? on: July 16, 2018, 09:07:37 PM
Bumping this, for suggestions of new staff(paid or volunteers).
Grue and salty were fired from being global mods because they were doing little to no mod work over an extended period of time. In other words, nearly zero productivity has been lost as a result of their removals.

Additional global mods are not needed as a result of Grue and salty being removed as mods.
Global mods aren't required, but normal staff is required. The workload distribution is too uneven. For example, hilariousandco is the head moderator of Bitcoin Discussion and the entire Marketplace(along with Cyrus). Why not just hire some mods, to handle the boards that are either with no moderators/ or to replace the global mods. At least then can global moderators take care of more important priorities(handling reported PMs, banning users etc).

Welsh. he is active and a good reporter, he is also not biased. I don't see why Welsh shouldn't be a moderator. and about the biggest bully in this forum aka OgNasty, he could keep at bullying people with red tags and distribute merits, nothing else.
Welsh has already been suggested before, suggestions for other people is what I am asking.

916  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature Anti-Spam Campaign Managers on: July 14, 2018, 11:27:56 PM
OP, I must commend you for your efforts in complying this list, but I think this guy btcltcdigger also deserves to be in the list. He is a crusader when it comes to fighting  against spam in all his campaigns in this forum.
Thanks but wrong profile link?
917  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Bitcoin Blockchain Explorer with SegWit on: July 13, 2018, 11:42:58 PM
Hi. Thanks for good advices.

Name mean API as Application Programming Interface. In the future, we will work with other cryptocurrencies too. Names starting with "Bit", too much... The starts of API always takes us to the top of the list of similar names Smiley

Some files loading from another places. It takes some seconds.

Links fixed. Thanks. My fail. Explorer will compile and update at monday. We will update OP codes view for TX, add segwit logos, add price by timestamp and other improvements mentioned here. We glad to hear good feedbacks here!

Colors is warm. We still in search of good design and colors, because we coders ))
Okay I get the name now.

And the links are not yet changed. I still see the youtube links for the support.

I like the other things though, neat and simple. Will I use it frequently? I don't know, I usually stick to btc.com or blockchain.com/explorer.
918  Other / Meta / Re: "PrіmeCоreICО Dashboard" Spam flooded the forum. Bots... again. on: July 13, 2018, 11:31:08 PM
I've been dedicating my time for several months now for a few hours at a time sometimes. Still hasn't made a dent. They'll just make new accounts, and you have to start the process all over again. I'm not too bothered because I find reporting quite therapeutic. I invite anyone else to dedicate their time to report, though.
Maybe theymos should hire voluntary mods, a few of them. Its all in theymos's hands. Let's assume 100 people report around 50 posts in an hour, that makes 5000 posts, and 5000 accounts get nuked/banned. That would trigger a lot of people. People aren't scared of moderation anymore. They know they can avoid from being banned. They know the staff is inadequate. They know that only a few handful of people report. There should be some fear in the community for the rules , they can't keep breaking the rules and shitposting forever.

When I was reading about the reddit mega ban, I saw hundreds and thousands of users panicking whether or not they are banned. And reddit doesn't have signatures(?). The fear of people not able to earn money might just make things a little better.
919  Other / Meta / Re: Global Moderators fired? on: July 13, 2018, 11:19:01 PM
263 bad. Some were for not explaining why I reported a few times, and had to report a few. That's what inspired the reporting effectively guide. I'm planning on creating a telegram account, and discord account dedicated to finding out these altcoins, and ICOs which are offering an incentive, and reporting them with the evidence. However, at the moment I've just been reporting the individual replies. Unless, I find them offering an incentive on their website or social medias.
That would be a deadend. I have heard that these businesses are run like how drug cartels do business IRL. They have secret groups and they do all the dirty work amongst themselves. Sure a few stupid ICOs tell people to post in their ANN thread to get paid. They are just a temporary thing. The real ones will never fall for this and this would be a longshot  and may end up for nothing.
I'm a perfectionist by nature, although never come up with anything ever near perfect. It's a real struggle.
I understand that, as I was raised by such standards.
I'm not fluent enough in any languages to report effectively. Except Welsh, but there aren't exactly a thriving community of Welsh people here Cheesy
I know more than a few languages but I just never visit those local boards, I like posting here in the English sections only.
920  Other / Meta / Re: Global Moderators fired? on: July 13, 2018, 10:54:35 PM
39744 currently. Although, I have a lot of bad reports so I'm far from a perfect record. I would disagree though. Top reporters haven't been known to get appointed, and users who can speak other languages are probably much more likely to be appointed. I don't participate in any local boards or report in any.
Having almost 40k reports is no joke. And you have less than 500(?) bad reports. Doesn't matter. Your record is more than just perfect. You know you sound like a nerd who is upset because he got 99/100 in math and is now depressed for losing 1 mark for handwriting.  Angry

Really though, I don't see a lot of users reporting in the local boards. I maybe wrong, but almost anybody would give up reporting on local boards with no mods.
