Still hustling?
Yeah. I don't mind waiting, because I want theymos to choose the right people for his merit sources, even if I don't fit in the criteria.
1082  Other / Meta / Re: Please unlock my account (manji) on: June 19, 2018, 02:13:37 PM
If it's only locked, I belive hilariousandco can unlock it. You do need to provide suffice proof though. Good luck. Send him a PM here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=164822
1083  Other / Meta / Re: Application for a merit source on: June 18, 2018, 11:27:41 PM
I say many thanks to you because this info is very important for beginners like me to be able to get a merit by knowing the points of important points can make it easier to find knowledge about merit that I have long dreamed of
Thank you! Although I find this hard to believe that newbies are reading, and wait what? You have been dreaming of merit for how long? I seriously don't know what is happening. What is up with the newbie spam? Coincidence or what?

Bump!
1084  Other / Meta / Re: I understood why I do not get merit. on: June 17, 2018, 08:30:39 PM
You don't get merit because you shitpost.
/thread

Can you lock the thread already? You ain't getting a merit, not now atleast.
1085  Other / Meta / Re: This is why merit sources shouldn't be known publicly. on: June 17, 2018, 01:05:28 PM
I'm not even a merit source, and have had people ask me to send them merits. I also think that merit applications should be done via personal messages rather than publicly. However, I think theymos specifically stated to post a thread within Meta to apply.

Strangely enough I've had 2 people in the last week message  me thanking me for sending merits. I had no idea people were this polite on this forum Cheesy
BUT SIR! YOU DIDN'T GIVE MERIT TO DARKSTAR_ AND CREW. HOW ARE YOU NOT AN ALT OF DARKSTAR_? CHIPMIXER ONLY ACCEPTS ALT ACCOUNTS.....

DON, DO SOMETHING!
Yo, Jet Cash, you know the solution for this more than anyone else. It's called ignore button. Use it.  Roll Eyes

Shocked Airdrops
The best way to earn crypto for beginners is Airdrops. An airdrop is a free give-away by an ICO or a Blockchain project. They give away free tokens as a marketing technique and to create a bigger community. It is important for a new project to be introduced to as many people as possible. An airdrop is one of the ways to accomplish that. Often ICO’s will require you to complete a few social tasks like following them on Twitter. These tasks usually cost less than 5 minutes to complete and now you wait for your free coins.

Shocked Best source for airdrops is AirdropAlert.com

Bounties
Many ICO’s have bounties to create more exposure for their project. A bounty hunter completes jobs that have a set token reward for it. Examples of bounties are; write a blog, make a video, shares on social media or translate content. These tasks require more time than collecting airdrops, however the reward is often bigger.

Best source for bounties is BountiesAlert.com

 ::)Mining
Numerous Blockchain’s are secured through a consensus mechanism called “Proof of Work” (PoW). Through a process called “mining,” people use specialized computers to solve difficult math problems. If the solution is correct, they receive the right to add a new block to the blockchain. Once the network verifies that the problem was correctly solved, a new block is added to the blockchain and the miner is rewarded in coins.

The first Bitcoin block that was mined – Genesis block – got a reward of 50 BTC. This block was mined by Satoshi and he has never moved those Bitcoins out of the wallet the mining reward got sent to. The days of 50 Bitcoins per block are far behind us but there are numerous options for crypto mining.

Monero mining runs on CPU power
Ethereum mining runs on GPU power
DASH mining runs on ASIC miners
Cloud mining
Best source to find profitable mining coins is What to Mine

 Roll Eyes Staking
Proof of stake (PoS) is a type of algorithm by which a cryptocurrency blockchain network aims to achieve distributed consensus. In PoS-based cryptocurrencies, the creator of the next block is chosen via various combinations of random selection and wealth or age (i.e., the stake).

With PoS you have to hold a currency to receive passive income coins. Different PoS coins have different rules. Some require to lock the coins in a  masternode, while NEM requires you to harvest them.

The best source for Proof of Stake is PoSlist.org

 Shocked  Hard forks

A hard fork, as it relates to blockchain technology, is a radical change to the protocol that makes previously invalid blocks/transactions valid (or vice-versa). This requires all nodes or users to upgrade to the latest version of the protocol software. This creates a fork in the blockchain: one path follows the new, upgraded blockchain, and the other path continues along the old path. Generally, after a short period of time, those on the old chain will realize that their version of the blockchain is outdated or irrelevant and quickly upgrade to the latest version.

This is not always the case. Some “old” chains still find support and develop their own version & upgrades to continue on the chain. The two most famous examples of hard forks are Bitcoin Cash and Ethereum Classic. When this happens you end up with exactly the same amount of new coins, as you had originally. If you held 1 Bitcoin at the time of the Bitcoin Cash hard fork, you ended up with 1 Bitcoin and 1 Bitcoin Cash.

1088  Economy / Reputation / Re: Gleb Gamow account was sold Proof on: June 17, 2018, 12:47:44 AM
Let me say this now and here: if suchmoon agrees on locking the account, I will remove my red tag on him. lets be honest suchmoon has tried to help Gleb.
But she/he could've helped him simply by lending him the money, what suchmoon did was accepting a DT2 account as a sort of collateral, clearly suchmoon didn't trust Gleb enough. is that what suchmoon good for? to blatantly accept an account(DT2) as a collateral?

Lock the account and I will change my tag in to neutral because of whatever good suchmoon has done for the community. fair enough?
No one cares about your tag, bruh! And who are you talking to?
1089  Other / Meta / Re: Let's Ban Gambling Signatures/ Advertising on: June 17, 2018, 12:27:02 AM
I came to an agreement with the guilty party so the proof will not be shown.  I'll leave it at that.
Yeah no. You ain't a lawyer or a judge to do that. Now come on, admit it that someone slept with you for merit and then never called you back. Undecided
1090  Other / Meta / Re: Let's Ban Gambling Signatures/ Advertising on: June 16, 2018, 11:51:48 PM
Hey buddy I am a piece of trash who has sex for merit.
FTFY

I had evidence of someone that was exchanging sex for merit, the issue has already been resolved by the way.
When and where? You never showed the proof!

1092  Economy / Reputation / Re: Gleb Gamow account was sold Proof on: June 15, 2018, 11:55:09 PM
Something still seemed off to me. It's the posting/use of language that is different.

Sold it and then reclaimed? Thus multiple password changes.

Sold it to Quicksy with some sort of revenue sharing deal? Thus Quicksy so eager with proof.

Many possibilities but unless Gleb starts engaging in shady shit beyond sig campaigns I think I'll hold my judgement.
I like this theory. Most of them in this thread were all boring but this is fired up crack( I DON'T TAKE DRUGS,FYI).  Can someone else call Gleb to verify if this theory is true or false?
1093  Other / Meta / Re: Bring back the newbie jail with changes on: June 15, 2018, 11:47:35 PM
1. How is it horrible? If they want to come here for help then they can do that in the newbies board which would  then result in helpful replies by hopefully other newbies which would lead to them receiving merit and be on their way of getting out.

2. Its not about impressing people either. Not everyone posts garbage is safe to say but we have a real problem here in the forum which is resulting in older members from disappearing. Its been said time and time again that the forum is declining and I'm not blaming the moderation theres just too many people interested in Bitcoin and altcoins. The ICO boom has contributed a lot to the problem that we are having to deal with. Currently several boards are rendered useless due to the spam.

3. Sure but hundreds if thousands of posts go undetected each day. Reporting is currently doing nothing absolutely nothing. I do not really report myself but I know theres several people like bitart and loyvce that dedicate their time in reporting but its just not enough. Theres probably others doing it too but its not working. At least a newbie jail would mean that the main sections would be usable because they currently are not.

4. People are going to sulk about anything that hinders them which in my opinion is a good thing. People whining about how the new system sucks because they cant rank up just goes to show that its working as intended. Why do we care if people are complaining because they aren't contributing. Sure we care about the legitimate concerns voiced but currently the meta board is filled with people sulking about the condition of the forum and I'm one of them. I do believe it's perfectly fair to complain about this though as the forum is becoming unusable at this point.

5. That's fair enough but the newbie jail would not have to be implemented right away but could be put on the back burner and eventually introduced when theres enough merit sources. To be fair though to be able to identify merit sources suitable for the newbie jail it would likely have to be implemented before to determine good people for the job.
1. I guess that is plausible but I doubt theymos would like this.

2. Dude, the members left in 2014 itself. There are hardly any real posters here, there were some awesome posters, better than nullius too. Well even he has disappeared.

3. Yeah just 2 people reporting won't do anything. Just go visit the altcoins section and you'll see for yourself.

4. That's true. No one cares about the shitposters and its good and bad at the same time. I feel sorry for people who can't speak good enough English and they are discriminated for it. But guess they have to deal with it. Your arguments are very well structured but theymos decided to take down newbie jail because a lot of users felt burdened by it not because it didn't work. People shouldn't be forced to do such things.

5. Well then the newbie jail shall be introduced once the new forum is set up, so wait till 3018.  Tongue
1094  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mercatox-Future king of crypto exchanger far superior than binance on: June 15, 2018, 11:33:48 PM
These features you are talking about can be easily found in other exchanges, of course except for the "super fast support" because no one has that... and yeah I don't think I've encountered another exchange which has a loyalty program as far as I'm aware of, either way I don't stay for that stuff, I just want a damn good service! That's it
Good luck with finding one! The super fast support doesn't exist but small exchanges have their support tickets resolved quickly because they have very less support tickets. Probably that is the reason why he is bullshitting.

Oh what is going on  Shocked. At any rate, you could really tell that this is just a roundabout of words used for advertising---very similar with those newbies posting their scam sites here.
I saw a guy making not one, not two but three threads about mercatox and he was boasting about them, although this could be a coincidence. I am entirely not convinced on this.
1095  Other / Meta / Re: Let's Ban Gambling Signatures/ Advertising on: June 15, 2018, 11:28:48 PM
They are probably not called "traditional" online casinos, but your typical non-crypto gambling website is usually very different from your typical crypto gambling website.

Crypto casinos very rarely offer sports betting and non-crypto casinos usually have a strong focus on slots. I've never seen dice games outside of crypto. Unlike crypto casinos, non-crypto casinos seem to rarely focus on community building / group chats. Oh, and then there's of course that whole "provable fair" thing. I don't think we're ever going to see that outside of crypto, especially since the house edge of non-crypto casinos seems to be much higher than one would like to publicly advertise (ignoring games such as Roulette, obviously, as here the house edge is pretty much the same).

I guess that's mostly because non-crypto casinos usually target players that go into meatspace casinos / sportbet bars as well, while crypto casinos target, well, crypto-enthusiasts.
I honestly don't know how these gambling sites work or hell how to even play in a casino. I will learn one day surely though.
OP, I don't get, it's serious suggestion or you are just trolling?
Hey,He is NOT DIGARAN. Therefore, he is not trolling. He just is a gambling addict who also had sex with some one for 100 merits. Angry
1096  Economy / Reputation / Re: Gleb Gamow account sold or hacked? on: June 15, 2018, 11:24:25 PM
Yes I have noticed that you have never left any feedback for anybody, that could be the reason for staying low profile just to sell the account somewhere in time without getting caught.
Digaran, not now dude. Enough with your conspiracy theories. They are getting boring now.
Here's another theory, but, again, it's only a theory. I opted to not participate in the trust thingy for no particular reason, perhaps thinking at the time of not wanting to get into a pissing match - I give red trust for solid reasons but the people giving red trust retaliates and gives me red trust.

It NEVER occurred to me that I shouldn't participate in the trust thingy because someday I may sell my account(s).
Dude, what is going here? The chances of your account being sold is 99%. Did you sell your account? And if yes, why? That too, all of a sudden? And just for 600$?
1097  Other / Meta / Re: Bring back the newbie jail with changes on: June 15, 2018, 11:18:21 PM
1. Then they shall remain there until they are good enough.

2. Then why do we want them posting garbage in the main areas of the forum?

3. Thats an existing issue which we can't really fix.

4. Exactly and combining this with a newbie jail would mean that only quality members get out.

5. This should probably be improved but having the potential of good quality posts in the newbie jail could mean they don't have to scour through numerous different boards in order to find quality posts.

1. That is horrible. Some users come here in search of help. Everyone doesn't know what a bounty is.

2. Not everyone posts garbage. They just might be new to the concept of posting. Give them a break. A newbie jail won't bring any good posters. People would rather stay away from the forum than trying to impress people who they don't know at all, and it is most importantly all for nothing.

3. You can. Use the "Report to Moderator" button.

4. This would make things worse. Imagine number of people sulking about it. People still haven't gotten over from the merit grenade which was 5 months ago.

5. theymos chooses merit sources very wisely and improving it would take a lot of time.

Why do you not find it would be effective? The only reason issues that you have brought up are number 3 and 4. I do not think that number 3 is really related to this specific problem and anyone who does not know the basics will be found out by not receiving any merit and if they are spamming will eventually get banned.

Number 4 is probably the biggest issue. We would probably need more merit sources able to determine a good quality poster from a good one for this to be effective but I do believe that the merit sources are constantly being added to and anyone is allowed to make an application to become one.
Read above. I have explained why. Spamming won't lead to a ban. Had that been the case, the forum would have been clean.

Also people merit posts that are either good or they like it. They don't usually merit the average posts. So one in every hundred would rank up.
1098  Economy / Reputation / Re: Gleb Gamow account was sold Proof on: June 15, 2018, 11:05:35 PM
Sorry for sounding weird, but I truly don't know what a DT account is. Please enlighten me.

Bruno

PS: Will somebody fuckin call me at 702-981-5600 to confirm I am who I say I am.
Read this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=211858.msg2221664#msg2221664

DT stands for Default Trust and you have the power to give positive or negative trust to people.
Bruno, are you seriously in need of money?
He is trying to sell his account, not borrow against it, so he may not be in a position to repay what is given to him (IDK). Are you willing to contribute to the cause?

(ignoring the fact that begging is not allowed here) would you like it if you were asked for money by long standing members?
I might. It depends on the circumstance. If the amount is really big, and if not many people decide to help, I might not be able to , because I won't just give a large amount of money to a person who I don't know at all.
It looks like he was asking for about $600.

If you were going to help, would you be okay with the fact that he has a valuable asset that he has not yet sold?
And that asset would be his account? I won't be able to pay 600$ as a whole, obviously not. I can make a small contribution to it. Smiley Again it depends on the circumstance, I am not guaranteeing anything.

Can somebody kindly explain to me what crime I commented in not being trusted anybody while still being instrumental in scam busting in protecting the crypto community as I've done on my own fuckin dime over the pass several years, turning down all those offering to tip me for my services. Now, if you can get one ... JUST ONE ... person to claim and prove beyond doubt that I have indeed accepted a tip for said services, then I will exit this space in a heartbeat. Needless to say, such is/was not the case.
Everything is against you right now, unfortunately. The password and email changes, the PM to bigmelons25 and also this sudden post change etc has made people believe that your account is compromised.
Here's one of the red trust comments ...

Quote
Bought account, trying to get into garbage posting business with a DT account.

I give, what the fuck is a DT account?
Ah, that is digaran, you can just ignore him. I find it weird that you don't know what a DT account is.
1100  Other / Meta / Re: Simple answer to getting rid of all the trash threads here on: June 15, 2018, 10:42:49 PM
I do not follow this logic... that is not to say I am correct and that you are wrong. I am always happy to discuss and learn and change my opinion.

They can still ask these questions on the junior boards. Those even attempting to join in and contribute to legitimate and worthy discussions can be given merit. I would find going there browsing through a selection of good threads, then meriting those making real effort to help or even joining in conversations of worth and interest far more rewarding than reporting 100 spammers, ico bots, post pasting bots and then the mods have to confirm and delete and take action. This is a wasteful and unpleasant process and it is also a very centralised bottlenecked process at the mod level if doing it this way. It is also a very negative thing to report person compared to giving praise and merit.

You are not to expect highly detailed knowledge of conceptual design and coding from anyone on this board including legends of course only a willing and helpful attitude to contribute and converse with others.

I am not really complaining at the obvious tech brain drain and dilution since the days of hardcore bitcoiners - that was always going to happen. Let's be honest what percentage of the board actually would have the capacity to understand many of these designs at a deep math level. I don't think it's essential most need to understand at more than a very basic level. However the board is now nothing to do with the tech or about the aim of creating decentralised trustless networks... it is simply becoming a marketing board for icos through various posting techniques that make the board almost worthless to anyone other that to hammer the search function for specific details you may want to look up from years ago.

Having a sensible vetting period that is semi automated is the obvious choice. This will be a decentralised vetting process since those with the most merit to give will be free to peruse the junior boards and all be mods in a way.
You're sort of asking the newbie jail to be bought back. Stopping people to post in the main boards is not a good idea. Although you can still merit users in any board you want to. That is much better because more the boards, more the posts to merit. Cool

I believe no one has so far liked this idea, it would be better for a better suggestion, a user friendly one, or you could just merit users, report a few and have good discussions, eh?
