1121  Economy / Services / Re: A simple bitcoin Q/A. Learn new and interesting stuff about bitcoin. on: June 12, 2018, 04:41:11 PM
where can I find similar kintes? I want to have a better contribution in this forum and get merit prizes. thanks
Yeah no. Merit is not a prize, this is NOT a competition. Now tell me why do you want merit? Just to rank up and shitpost for bounties?
Only one of the transactions would be valid in the BTC blockchain.

For the transaction to be valid in 2 different blocks it would have to be during a fork of the original chain.

After typing this I looked for validation on my theory
and came across this
https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/18656/can-a-transaction-be-in-two-blocks

After reading the response and given when it was written, it looks like other than a fork this would only occur if someone was trying to 51% attack the chain and create a double spend opportunity for themselves.

What I did learn and did not know before, or really think about is that, if you include an already confirmed transaction in a found block it will be rejected and you would lose out on the block reward.

This brings me to another question if someone feels like learning me some knowledge... If someone did lose a block by including an already confirmed transaction, does the network keep working on that particular block, or do all valid transactions that were included in the block go back to the mempool, and the block reward is lost?
The answer to your question is probably the latter. The network would rather focus on the future blocks, and the transactions in the invalid block would go to the future blocks. Although I cannot be a 100% sure.
Its been a while since I visited this thread, here's my question:

Question:  What is a stealth address? How does it work and how does one use them?
1122  Other / Meta / Re: Trust system abuse on: June 11, 2018, 11:50:27 PM
Why are you ignoring that Vod threatened me he would red-rate me if I did not change my rating? He clearly said he would negatively rate me if I didn't do what he says.

Could you quote/screenshot the PM(s) where Vod said that?
Its referred here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3869593.msg37486761#msg37486761
The one where Vod apparently refers that either Anduck or Vod will have to change the rating.

WHERE IS ALIA? STOP HIDING, YOU...
1124  Economy / Services / Re: [1 OPEN SLOT] ChipMixer Signature Campaign | 0.00075 BTC/post on: June 10, 2018, 05:02:43 PM
Shit, the competition got real ugly. Some really good posters have applied. DarkStar is going to have tough time deciding The One.

So yeah DarkStar, expect a thread about you in reputation real soon.
1125  Economy / Exchanges / Re: A lawsuit against HitBtc on: June 08, 2018, 11:51:14 PM
Their whois info is anonymous, we don't know where they are actually located physically, there is no clear founder/CEO of the company. Just take a look at this thread that was closed by HitBTC essentially by saying 'it doesn't matter': https://forum.hitbtc.com/discussion/2669/hitbtc-where-are-you-located-and-who-is-your-ceo-responsible-traders-want-to-know

Based on them not fulfilling obligations for coin listings, their withdrawal issues, and their obscured company details, there is too much risk to use them.
That is messed up shit dude. There were 5 whole pages of users crying about their deposits and their anger is beyond limits yet understandable. And they locked the thread after their reply so that no one else could reply.

No one should be forced to be in such a dilemma. I am surpirsed that there is only one lawsuit. Same goes for bittrex and poloniex.
1126  Economy / Exchanges / Re: what is best exchange for Bitcoin on: June 08, 2018, 11:42:35 PM
Bitfinex then. They provide a small amount if you are the maker. However I have no experience with Bitfinex at the moment personally.
Those USDT shills? Uh...NO thanks!
There are very few exchanges that I would recommend:

  • Shapeshift
  • Changelly
  • Binance

Stay away from:

  • Poloniex
  • Bittrex
  • Yobit
  • HitBTC

And all the shitty exchanges. Try your best to avoid these exchanges.
1127  Other / Meta / Re: Abuse of self-moderation by scammers on: June 08, 2018, 11:37:35 PM
If I may make a suggestion:  Get to the point with threads like this.  The part of your post I quoted is your idea, and the rest of your post is kind of just fluff.  There are many of us with attention span disorders, and we love posts that get straight to the point.
I fucking swear! Shit like this is really annoying af.
People should protect themselves. If they are confused they should ask people, the non scammers for help. Literal spoonfeeding won't take them anywhere. Self-Moderation should exist. Just because a person is a scammer,he shouldn't lose his right of free speech. And not everyone who has a negative trust rating is a scammer. The real scammers are well enjoying themselves.
1128  Economy / Services / Re: [Active] SimplyEverything's Escrow | New | Ledger Nano on: June 08, 2018, 11:27:50 PM
OP, this is a forum, one cannot just simply start doing escrows. You don't have any trades with any legitimate users, with a considerate amount. Just compare yourself with others over here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2439910.msg24991775#msg24991775

Users have run away with a money starting from a dollar to thousands if not millions of them. 5 transactions doesn't make you untrustworthy. And you're just a member. Who knows if this is a fake throwaway account?
1129  Other / Meta / Re: Trust system abuse on: June 08, 2018, 11:19:16 PM
Thank you. due to the language barrier, I can not express myself perfectly, however it seems that you understand my point.
Wow. I am surprised that there's a little emotion inside digaran Undecided Well, good for you.

You know, you can express yourself properly if not perfectly, but if you act like a lunatic, not everyone would understand what you are trying to stay.  p
1130  Other / Meta / Re: Trust system abuse on: June 08, 2018, 11:10:39 PM
Well, people on default trust should keep their own opinions to themselves since their opinions is visible to everybody  by default, so if every one of them tries to have a different opinion, their feedbacks says otherwise.

You on DT2 would tag A as untrustworthy, actmyname then would tag A as trustworthy (according to default trust being visible to people).
You have tried to take advantage of DT2 position to dictate your own opinions and make them appear as default trust rating to everybody in this community. you have proven so many times to be abusing people with your DT2 power you hold over 99.99% of forum members.

Anduck clearly states that he is not going to bid on his auctions after seeing the reactions of this community's members, yet you insist on tagging him for something that happened 2 years ago.
You do realize that people are added on DT for stating their opinion right? The entire forum is based on opinions, so your point really doesn't make sense here.
Vod was right in tagging him, because it is unethical, the time frame doesn't matter but since Anduck has said he won't do anything like that in the future, it's fair to say that Vod could give Anduck the benefit of the doubt.
1131  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Don't use Bittrex on: June 08, 2018, 10:21:46 PM
Once I had an issue on my side with bittrex, and I contacted their support. They did take time but they did their check and made sure my account was in safe hands. OP, if you're afraid of losing your funds, you don't have to worry. Bittrex, how much ever they try to fuck up with people's minds, they do what they promise to do. It takes time. That's bad but it is what it is.

And who in their right mind would deposit 10k USD in bittrex? Just because they did a total reincarnation, doesn't make them less shady. I'd only suggest you to be patient, don't spam their support tickets and they'll do what's best for their users, hopefully.
1132  Economy / Exchanges / Re: A lawsuit against HitBtc on: June 08, 2018, 10:15:45 PM
You're not being paranoid at all. We all see cries for help every day on every exchange but when it comes to proper complaints with what seems to be legitimate evidence, time to sit up and pay attention.

If the exchange can't even do a simple listing for the amount it charged (527 ETH btw!) then we know for sure these are simply amateurs. Look at the way they responded too. No different from amateur exchanges.

Anyway, this proves listing does take 100s of thousands of dollars. So all you investors know where your token sale funds are going to...
Maximum listing amounts cost till like 20 bitcoins. But this is insanity.

Will we ever have an exchange that one could possibly trust or not having paranoia every time we deposit funds in an exchange. And fucking banks are not helping as well. I am sick and tired of exchanges doing shit like this.
OP, thanks for linking this down, I better move my funds somewhere else, the funds amount very less but still.
1133  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature Anti-Spam Campaign Managers on: June 08, 2018, 08:25:13 PM
I think you should consider adding Sylon manager to your list.
He manages a lot of campaigns, if you check his post history, you can see he everything works very up-to-date and answering all question to his participants.
lol. Hilariousandco, where are you? Please do the honors explaining why he won't make the list.

Lol, seriously? He is probably one of the worst bounty managers on Bitcointalk. He even received negative trust because he accepts many scammers into his campaigns. Do you really think that Sylon deserves to be among best bounty managers?
FTFY. Wink
- Does the community want me to run a poll for managers?
I don't think that's needed (prone to abuse).

- Any suggestions for me to add in the table? Related to managers or anything in general?
  • Time zone
  • Availability (days)
    • Useful for advertisers but then again, it makes everything wider.
The ideas are nice, but I honestly don'y know if people care about time zone? People(the company) don't even bother checking the post quality or check if the campaign manager is doing his damn job. Time zone and availability is of no use for companies(in most cases).
- Does the community want me to run a poll for managers? If  yes, any specific person who is not currently on the list but has the potential so that I could link it down on a poll?
A poll won't work, as any Newbie can vote. A public discussion on the other hand could work.
If by any chance I am running a poll,I would want the minimum requirements like, being a Full Member at least, vote 5 managers of their choice and all, but a poll won't really get much attention unless it is abused by one person...
Idk, I just find that he serious manage his threads. I mean if you ask him something, or you want to change address he will do it and give you an answer.
If you check almost any of bounty thread you can find an only mess and if you have any doubts, you will not get an answer.
Manager - means the person who controls all happenings within the project.
That's what campaign managers should do and that's what they are hired for. Its funny how Sylon checks all this but doesn't the main thing he his supposed to do: Check if participants are spamming or not.

Newbie can't vote.
Are you sure?
1134  Other / Meta / Re: Application for a merit source on: June 08, 2018, 04:48:51 PM
Most of those posts either already have a decent amount of merit, or are not recent enough to be relevant.

Also, since there is the allegation on your trust page, I may as well ask it since you are asking to be put in a position of trust, are you an alt of either lauda or aTriz, or any other member, past or present of ALU?
Thank you for your feedback. The reason for a couple of old posts is to spread awareness about learning new stuff.
And no, I am not an alt of Lauda or aTriz or any other member of ALU. And that is not an allegation, rather butthurt feedback.
You don't need to answer his questions.  He's been asked multiple times to simply show the transaction where he sent back 20 stolen BTC, yet he ignores the requests.  You can ignore him as well.  Smiley
Doesn't matter. I have no problem telling the truth.
1135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA WORLD CUP 2018? on: June 07, 2018, 11:34:13 PM
I know that Germany is  a much bigger team like Spain, France etc. but we cannot say this that it would regain this title as they have it four years before. In last world cup, Germany was quite lucky because the playmaker of Brazil; Neymar Jr was not playing the final and without him the team is nothing as it was proved when Germany beaten Brazil by 7-1 but this time, he is playing the matches.
You cannot say that one player alone will make the entire team win. Yeah he may be in form, but so was Sane. He got left out of World Cup because he hasn't had a good performance in an International Match.
And what about the big names from the NT that didn't make it? I can name you a few world class players + some others that are missing the WC and even get a starting XI: Oblack, Antonio Valencia, van Dijk, Bonucci, Alaba, Vidal, Verrati, Bale, Alexis Sanchez, Insigne, Aubameyang.
Are you serious? No Bale? No Bonucci? What the heck? All these players are damn good! This is much worse than it looks like.
Man, these world cups come once in 4 years, and a few people want to fuck up the future(potential) of good players.
1136  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature Anti-Spam Campaign Managers on: June 07, 2018, 11:22:56 PM
I did keep the other campaigns column, I only took it down because it made the table wider and messier. Will do something about that. Thanks for your suggestion, guys.
1137  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature Anti-Spam Campaign Managers on: June 07, 2018, 10:27:23 PM
Good start, but I think there have few guys with just one or two campaign. I do not comment on their work but managing one campaign can not qualify someone as a manager. especially today when it opens 10+ campaigns daily.
Also, there are an only "green" managers, somebody would think there was no problem with bad campaign management even if there has never been more spam.
Experience is not the only thing that counts. Anyone can be a manager by that. There are other factors that may or may not  qualify a manager to be on this list.
Suggestion: If community agrees, can we change the subject "Overview" to "List" --> List of Bitcointalk Signature Anti-Spam Campaign Managers (Google will love it too)
The reason I chose not to just call it a list is because then I would have to add all the campaign managers, I chose overview because this thread tells a lot about the managers and what they have done till now. Wink
A few things:

- Does the community want me to run a poll for managers? If  yes, any specific person who is not currently on the list but has the potential so that I could link it down on a poll?

- For those managers who don't have an ANN thread, please do create one. The competition is tough out there and your ANN thread might get help you a lot.

- Any suggestions for me to add in the table? Related to managers or anything in general?

I do not know whether you follow the rules to recover the account as theymos mentioned in his thread. If not I am sharing it below so kindly go with the signed message and signature with the required format to cyrus first.

Quote
-----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----
My account <account> has been hacked/lost. Please reset the email to <email>. The current date is <date>.
-----BEGIN SIGNATURE-----
<insert address here>
<insert signature here>
-----END BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Here is the unedited post where I posted that address: ...
OR
I sent that address to someone in a PM with PM ID#...

Wait for reply 7 days. If you do not get any answer then you can go to contact the theymos directly.
This is not the right format for banned accounts. The OP is already a dumbfuck, teaching him wrong things will make him worse.
OP,you're not getting unbanned.

Double-hide the truth? What the fuck?
What he probably means is that, after digaran(a non DT member) tagged you for *hiding* the truth, Vod(a DT member) goes ahead and gives you a positive rating, which may seem to him that DT members are *hiding the truth* and his tag will become even more worthless.

Edit:

actmyname is a DT member. Unless you meant digaran, who's just a trust spammer.
I meant digaran.
