"most of the justices are conservative" is debatable at best. Some of the judges you might call conservative have a more centrist voting record. An additional appointment by Trump however could make a more clear majority. Any way you slice it, the goal is to prevent Trump from having influence and achieving his policy goals "by any means necessary". The Democrat platform has been running on "orange man bad" as its only policy position since 2016.
I doubt the "centrists," who are right of center, are going to go along with pretending Ginsburg is alive. However, I'm sure that if Ginsburg ends up on life support, they will roll her in to hear cases on the gurney with a full medical staff. Cheesy
222  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is RBG Dead? on: July 25, 2019, 08:59:48 PM
If the Supreme Court had a majority of liberals, I may give this theory some credence. However, most of the justices are conservative and a good portion of them are not expected to waiver from their conservative stances on any decisions. I doubt that they would go along with any attempts to hide Ginsburg's death.
223  Other / Meta / Re: [POLL] The Official Troll Poll: Vote for Bitcointalk's Biggest Troll! on: July 25, 2019, 08:32:59 PM
I'm going to nominate Quickseller just because no one else has yet.
I'm also going to nominate Anonymint/iamnotback/anunymint/Shelby_Moore_III etc, etc, etc. Although, he is obviously intelligent, sometimes his posts are a bit hard to follow and required much research on my part just to understand where he is coming from. Someone who keeps coming back after being banned has to be a troll. (He now has other members communicate for him on his behalf when he is moved to say something.)
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Claiming Bitcoin SV on: July 25, 2019, 07:33:27 PM
Well those ppl that claimed their bitcoin cash a long time ago before the bitcoin SV fork and assuming they did not sell their bitcoin cash, where did most ppl then keep their bitcoin cash then?  Wouldn't it be safe to say most ppl kept it in either nano ledger s or an exchange?

Also unrelated to this, but those that kept bitcoin in their nano ledger s when the bitcoin cash and gold fork happened, was it easy or hard for them to claim the bch and bitcoin gold?

Also i believe if you kept bitcoin cash in binance at the time of bitcoin sv fork, binance gave you bitcoin sv directly... is that true?  So the best place to have kept your bitcoin cash when the bitcoin SV fork happened was binance?

I had a trezor, which made it nice and easy to claim both BCH and Bitcoin Gold. However, AFAIK, trezor hasn't offered an easy way to split coins for more of the forks. Therefore, I have not bothered claiming all of the other forks.
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Claiming Bitcoin SV on: July 25, 2019, 07:24:38 PM
Okay so because i didn't claim my bitcoin cash till few agos with electroncash, then that means there is chance i don't have any bitcoin sv?

Even if your movement of BCH was replayed on both BCH and BSV, you should be able to obtain the private key that your BCH is assigned to and be able to import that into a BSV wallet. Then you will need to take steps to split the BCH and BSV coins.

So had i claimed my bitcoin cash before the Bitcoin SV fork date, and say kept my bitcoin cash in electroncash when the SV fork happened, this would been easier?  What if i had claim my bitcoin cash before SV fork date but then moved the Bitcoin cash to my nano ledger s.  Would that be the same or harder or easier?  I know ppl say that when you claim your bch from electroncash, you shoudl move it to your nano ledger s or move it to exchange.  Few ppl seem to say, keep it in electroncash as it seem most ppl say they remove electroncash from computer once they get their bitcoin cash.

So is there anyone else in same situation as me?  They did not claim bch until after the bitcoin SV fork happened?  I know there are definitely ppl that did not claim their bitcoin cash yet.  Anyone in my situation can tell me what they did?  Also talking about replay protection.  So that means if i do something wrong, then i dont get any bitcoin sv coins?  Or that means there is chance there is no bitcoin SV coin because i claimed my bitcoin cash later after the bitcoin sv fork?  So the only software i can use is that wallet?  Or i have other options?  I know when i claimed my bitcoin cash, i believe almost everyone said use electroncash but some ppl said there was other wallet you can use etc.  But i use electroncash since everyone say its best.

If you had claimed your BCH before the BSV fork and moved it to your ledger, you could have been in the exact same situation. You would have to get the private key from the ledger and import it into a BSV wallet and then take steps to split the coins.
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Claiming Bitcoin SV on: July 25, 2019, 07:13:52 PM
The OP did not move the BCH until after the fork with BSV. Therefore the BSV may have been replayed and the output is now assigned to one of the private keys in the ledger.

There is a small chance that the transaction has been replayed since OP moved his BCH coins a few months after the BSV fork. Wasn't someone replaying all the transactions deliberately right after the fork happened?

Unfortunately, I haven't been paying attention on what is going on with the BCH or BSV fork. I wouldn't doubt that the BSV miners would deliberately pull such a move, though.

It is a pity that neither the BCH nor the BSV team will implement replay protection.

Bitcoin Cash developers have no obligation to implement the replay protection. Would you demand the same from Bitcoin Core developers for each fork?

Probably not. However, the Bitcoin Core team usually doesn't implement contentious hard fork upgrades like the BCH and BSV teams are prone to do.

227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Claiming Bitcoin SV on: July 25, 2019, 06:56:24 PM

Based on what you wrote, BSV coins are stored in your Electrum wallet while BCH ones are on the Ledger. This makes things a lot of easier because there is no risk of losing coins involved. Download Electrum SV, import the private key there and move your coins wherever you want. Your Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash coins are safe and nothing will happen to them because they are stored in a different wallet.

The OP did not move the BCH until after the fork with BSV. Therefore the BSV may have been replayed and the output is now assigned to one of the private keys in the ledger. It is a pity that neither the BCH nor the BSV team will implement replay protection.
228  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: cryptoroulette.world SCAM!!!!! on: July 25, 2019, 06:12:22 PM
I'm glad the the OP did not fall for this. Unfortunately, since these sites seem to keep popping up, there must be enough fools to make it worth their while. A person should never be asked to make a deposit in order to withdraw any winnings. This includes winning from "promotions."
229  Economy / Gambling / Re: Countrade.com is a SCAM 600$ LOST !!! BE CARREFULL on: July 25, 2019, 04:03:44 PM
I think the best takeaway is that people should not use any exchange or other service that has the following icon, unless it is cex.io. The vast majority of them are scams. I have yet to find an example where on sporting the icon, except cex.io was legit.

Example of Scam icon

Also, a site should never ask for a deposit before you can make a withdrawal. These are all scams.
230  Economy / Reputation / Re: Game-protect flag on: July 24, 2019, 01:38:37 AM
Well, looks like there's a new set of negative feedback today lol.

Honestly wondering when there is going to be put a stop to this. I have 10 now from GP alone.

"is extremely mentally ill" and threatening a lawsuit, well, that's mature.

https://i.imgur.com/MGS4W2E.png

Well, this threat and accusation that we are all mentally ill is slightly better then accusing us all of abusing children.  Roll Eyes Also, I hope he learned his lesson from his little break not to go around spamming the sig campaign threads with accusations. Also, his class action lawsuit is going to have an uphill battle convincing the court that our warning against him caused damages to other people. He will have to establish that the warning flags and negative feedback deterred individuals from seeking his services and that his services were more likely than not to recover the funds for them.
231  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you use a Password Manager? Which one is better? on: July 23, 2019, 01:18:00 AM
I personally use Keepass. I personally like their autotype feature to input your user name and password. It defeats keyloggers because it inputs random characters while typing in characters. Unfortunately, some web pages don't work with this feature, so you have to resort to using the copy/paste feature which is less secure. It also has a feature for additional security which requires a Key file. I haven't used it because the keyfile cannot be changed or moved from it's location on the computer. If it becomes corrupted, deleted or moved, you could get locked out of your data base.
232  Economy / Reputation / Re: Game-protect flag on: July 22, 2019, 03:59:09 PM

Weirdly enough, he's been online in the last couple of days w/ no posts (not sure if this updates through a temp ban?)
I wonder if he's just attempting to wait it out until the flak dies down.

You are still allowed to log in and read posts when you are under a ban. When you are logged in and start reading posts, it will log in as activity. Somehow, game-protect does not strike me as someone who will take a break for the flak to calm down. He's had "flak" for years.  Cheesy
233  Economy / Reputation / Re: Livecoin participants should be tag? on: July 21, 2019, 12:08:12 AM
What is there to investigate? From what I've seen, the account was frozen because the poster complained publicly. Could you link me to the posts/screenshots where Livecoin offered a fair method of resolution and the user disagreed? If Livecoin, in good faith, offered a reasonable settlement, then it's definitely izooomrud's fault for not taking the settlement. As far as I'm aware, this was not made.

I don't particularly agree with leaving negative trust over this, but I can see the argument that someone willing to promote a (partial) scam for personal benefit is a high risk person to trade with. For now, I will take yahoo's stance and utilize his blacklist for any campaigns I manage.

Livecoin has offered a solution to everyone who is left holding the bag when they finally delist it, more than a year after the malicious miner's attack.  Roll Eyes

Dear customers.
Due to the fact, that in May, 15, 2018, MONA asset had been attacked, and its blockchain was compromised. Many customers - holders of the said coins, as well as exchanges, from which MONA coins were stolen completely or partially, suffered considerable losses.
Our Exchange was no exclusion, it was exposed to financial losses, too, because of the attack.
We were the first to contact the developer and point out the problems with blockchain. There has been many publications on this issue, including some major online news websites.
ccn.com
reddit.com
bitexpert.io
cryptor.net
bestinvestpro.com
bloomchain.ru
decenter.org
whattonews.ru
newsbtc.com

You will also find other exchanges' customers requests, addressed to the said asset developers, demanding to solve this problem.
github.com
github.com

In case of damage caused through actions or inactions of developers/owners of the asset, namely, security breach of the blockchain/network, we always seek to claim compensation for losses from the developers, as they bear full responsibility for their product. We have been trying to get compensation from MONA developers for a long time, all without success, they refused to bear responsibility for the damage inflicted on their project. In this connection, we are forced to delist the asset within 2 weeks.
The deposit/withdrawal of this asset is impossible given the lack of MONA coins stolen during the attack on Mona blockchain. The trade will remain opened until the last day.

We are still willing to dialogue with the developers, if you want to get Mona coins for withdrawal, please, contact them, demanding a compensation for MONA network breach. If they make up for the harm caused by hacking of their project, we shall immediately distribute coins, received from the developers, between all customers.

I'm not certain how a 51% attack, a vulnerability that all POW coins share, is somehow the developer's fault.
234  Economy / Reputation / Re: Livecoin participants should be tag? on: July 20, 2019, 04:23:47 PM
Said person with signature of Sporstbet.io which has 5 (!!!) (it's in 5 time more than Livecoin) scam accusations. You know, we (slavs) have very precise and relevant catchphrase about such kind of people: "ты или кpecтик cними, или тpycы нaдeнь"
Just so you are aware of who you are attacking, I happened to have worn the Livecoin signature for 2 months before being one of the first people to remove it due to the scam accusation, which was detrimental to my BTC wallet.  So don't come after me and try to make me look like some kind of hypocrite.   Angry Now that you have brought this sportsbet.io scam accusations to my attention. I will look into the matter. (Which you didn't make easy for me, since you provided zero links for me to follow.) Since I was willing to give up over .0195 BTC earning potential due to principles, it wouldn't make sense for me to not give up .005 BTC per week earning potential due to my principles, now would it?

Furthermore, did you even read and comprehend my post that you responded to? I think that I was very fair in my assessment. I even said yobit is worse than Livecoin. Just so that you know, I don't intend on giving red trust comments or issue flags to new Livecoin signature campaign participants. However, your post really had me tempted for a few moments to make an exception in your case.  Kiss
235  Economy / Reputation / Re: Livecoin participants should be tag? on: July 20, 2019, 03:36:15 PM
I'm a bit confused as to how much of a scam exchange Livecoin is.  I supported the flag based on the evidence presented, and I'm fairly confident in doing that, but it sounds to me like it's an exchange that has scammy aspects to it much like Yobit does and that not everyone has problems or gets scammed.  Like I said, they do sound worse than Yobit but who knows.  And again, I wouldn't target the campaign participants with negative trust.  If Yahoo62278 blacklists them, that's pretty good disincentive for them not to join the Livecoin campaign.

I think it is a good disincentive too for Yahoo62278. However, a legendary member can earn .01925 BTC per week off of that campaign. Not as good paying as the chipmixer campaign, but still pretty good. Some people may not give 2 shits about any blacklist or tagging with that kind of pay. Also, to be fair to Livecoin, I think Yobit is definitely worse.  Yobit has way more listings of dead and broken coins, or coins on the wrong chain. However, I don't think Yobit will freeze an account if you dis them on the internet....
236  Economy / Reputation / Re: Suspecias membership buying trap with old pay first trick? on: July 20, 2019, 03:01:42 PM

I read the thread further, and I see a vouch from a staff member.  Now I am thinking that I may have been quick on the draw here.
It's rarely a vouch. You may read this:
I did not approach him with the offer. The offer was available for everyone to take, and seeing no one was taking it I took it, thus far it only speaks of OP that he's willing to send free money. It's not a review when I haven't even bought or listed anything on his site yet.

I have also criticized his site, his business model, and pretty much called him a scammer in the other thead (as other users did, too). I told him trust takes time to build, as most users prudently take the caveat emptor maxim to their hearts.

This does not sound vouch to me at all. Does it?
Now that you pointed it out, it does not sound like a vouch at all. However malevolent is .01 BTC richer. I gather from looking more into this case, the send first deal seems to have been only good for one member. too bad; I could have used the .01 BTC. I'm definitely not going to send first now.
237  Economy / Reputation / Re: Suspecias membership buying trap with old pay first trick? on: July 20, 2019, 02:54:03 PM
Glad you did. I was wondering why no one is paying any attention to this case. We have seen in various occasions people to get scammed in this kind of offers.
I read the thread further, and I see a vouch from a staff member.  Now I am thinking that I may have been quick on the draw here.
238  Economy / Reputation / Suspecias membership buying trap with old pay first trick? on: July 20, 2019, 02:38:56 PM
Archived, just in case.

Flag supported, as it is obvious a pyramid scheme.  Sad to see so many people still getting scammed in those schemes..

since the OP changed the title of his thread, I noticed my post was off topic so I moved it here. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5153445.msg51889576#msg51889576

I am just curious why there are no support yet. Can anyone please discuss about it?

The guy is asking users to buy membership (pay 0.01BTC) then he will give the users 2x of the BTC they paid. Isn't it suspicious?

Seems like a dubious offer. I will support your flag.

239  Economy / Reputation / Re: Request support for Flags here! on: July 20, 2019, 02:36:15 PM
Hello, I need some advise on flags. I flagged the below account for offering a pyramid scheme. I used the member's thread as reference for the flag. I had figured that if I quote the op and flag it, that would be sufficient to support the flag.(I quoted it so the OP would not be able to modify his post and get rid of the evidence.)
However, another member just pointed out that the scammer is breaking the rules. So the thread is likely to get deleted... Am I really going to have to open up a scam accusation thread and every petty offense that I come across?

In the mean time, so that I stay on topic, please support my flag.

👍 All transactions go via an ETH smart contract and the funds does not fall in the wallets of the owners of this project, we just transact funds from the downline person to the upperline, this is the beauty of this project.

💎 https://cryptohands.org/?rid=2351 to join this project you need only 0.055 ETH (about $10, 0.05 + 0.005 for GAS), this is the maximum amount you can lose in this project)

💥 You need to invite only 3 people at your link, your people will transact 0.05 ETH to you each, after you buy levels from higher level people, in order to earn even more, the second level costs 0.15 ETH, but further more interesting and the profit will be much more 💯💥

You can also build your downline referrals - their downlines, in order to earn more, or just wait, but it will take more time❗ THE MAXIMUM POSSIBLE EARNING ABOUT 10,000 ETH, though real earning will likely to be much lower, BUT STILL, you can earn a few ETH! 💰💰💰 And this is all for an investment of only 0.05 ETH❗ Also your upline will help you to build you own structure 👍

💎 Go to the site https://cryptohands.org/?rid=2351 choose the language and click Registration above, you just need to make a transaction of 0.05 ETH via Metamask. Or click Manual and you can do it via https://www.myetherwallet.com/, but there you need to manually send the transaction and when making the transaction in the Advanced settings add the ETH wallet 0x9e6E68ac9d6a1E69950b75a9d06EE335CC0Ba2d8 in the Add Data field and transfer 0.05 ETH and the system will automatically put you in the right place. This is all you need to do to register in the project❗

By registering with my referral, you will receive many referrals, I will actively promote this project, I really liked it and I think everyone can make good money in this project. Join and start earning with our community, and, certainly, bringing your people is very welcome, let's succeed together 👍

Cryptohands is already at the 11th place on https://dappradar.com/rankings/protocol/ethereum!

P.S. If it writes that you came without a referral link, you can add this ETH address in the field 0x9e6E68ac9d6a1E69950b75a9d06EE335CC0Ba2d8 and all will be ok 👍

Quoted and flagged. This is obviously a pyramid scheme/ponzi. Please click on the link to support my flag.

No, avoid. It has the cex.io icon. Almost all exchanges that have this icon, except cex.io itself, are a scam. There is a similar exchange named countrade.com that has a scam complaint. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5166591.msg51871150#msg51871150 (It's probably the same scammer.)
