2201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to staking EOS coins? on: December 28, 2021, 02:58:25 PM
yes. staking EOS is just delegating for resource management for CPU, NET and RAM. if you are new to EOS, you need to learn those.  there are so many things happening in EOS recently which they even said that wallets may be free from then on. like the rest of POS tokens, the more you stake the more you earn.

but i have to say this is the most behind project. i lost track of updates and was uninterested anymore. there are a lot more projects worth investing in than EOS.

Hello,
Thank you so much for your reply.
Google uses EOS for its cloud platform? Can I use any wallet for staking the EOS?
Which coin is good for the staking?

i have no idea about google using EOS for its cloud platform. maybe what you mean is the EOS wallet wombat. upon registering wombat wallet, you are given the option to use google dropbox that's all i know about it. anything related to google is likely not good for you. i don't recommend using that wombat. tokenpocket i guess is better since i find Scatter to be messy.

as far as i know, any wallet can be used to stake EOS for the resources.

2202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your altcoin predictions for the new year 2022 on: December 28, 2021, 01:33:45 PM

we are yet unsure where the market will go. like the list above, it's ETH, BNB, and SOL if the bull market will extend to 2022. NFT and play to earn tokens will also go up as they did this year such as AXS. they are also going to be the first that will dive when the bull run stops next year.

2017 investors are pretty much cautious of what might happen in the first months of next year. if history repeats itself, it's also going to be a long bear market. it's not pretty. i myself prepare for the worse.
2203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Animal racing on: December 28, 2021, 06:16:40 AM

festivals are always going to involve traditions like racing buffalos, it's done every year its fine. in prison, they do have something else there like a literal rat race. i once saw a contest of how far a frog can leap. people do this stuff all the time. traditions in some other places are crueler than just racing horses or rats.

i'm sure dog fight is part of the tradition too, i'm just not sure where that started but in my country cockfighting is very popular that it regularly happens. we got used to it too.
2204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Thriller Triad combat - Does the tringle shaped ring affect the betting outcome? on: December 27, 2021, 03:44:45 PM

there is nowhere else to go in this kind of ring compare to an octagon where they have more rooms but this is going to be more exciting for the audience who wants action pack fights because this will force anyone inside to face thier opponent. if you are an MMA fighter or a boxer and will agree to be in this triangle, you definitely have the courage. salute to you. hope the promotion will pay more.

i just watch a youtube video where Frank Mir didn't move at all. he must have figured, it's the end while in the corner.

2205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 270: Ngannou vs Gane | Is Gane a good bet? on: December 27, 2021, 01:46:58 PM
Gane proved himself he could beat heavy hitters like Lewis which if Lewis beat Ngannou, you wouldn't see Ngannou having a chance against Gane. it's still a very risky fight because Ngannou can throw a scary one-punch knockout.

i wouldn't say there is a huge difference to the odds even if the bookmaker will determine Gane to be the favorite. i'd say Ngannou will be my favorite. skip betting on this one if you are not very sure who to pick.

2207  Economy / Economics / Re: IMF, 10 countries simulate cyber attack on global financial system on: December 27, 2021, 06:39:22 AM
Quote
The participants discussed multilateral policies to respond to the crisis, including a coordinated bank holiday, debt repayment grace periods, SWAP/REPO agreements and coordinated delinking from major currencies.

That's quite interesting! But look at the list of the countries attended the meet,

Israel, United States, UK, United Arab Emirates, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Netherlands and Thailand.

United States and United Kingdom are the creators of the most widely used fiat currencies in the world that is USD and Sterling Pound.

Not sure what they mean by "Coordinated delinking from major currencies"! Sound like an oxymoron to me!

there is only 4 major afaik so Japan should have been part of that meeting. what do they mean by delinking?
Japan however also adopted BTC.

it would be clearer if they say cryptocurrencies instead as it's what they are afraid of and the people all over already knew it. IMF openly warns El Salvador already about its use of Bitcoin and they know they couldn't do anything that such a small country could get around sanctions.
2208  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto lobbying is going ballistic on: December 26, 2021, 03:51:07 PM
i think crypto is going to win in the end though. there are just more believers today than what it was before 2017. if the crypto firms are hiring lobbyists to win, the politicians who hold cryptocurrencies i think should also stand up this time because we are back in time when the Demo is trying to win the African American's vote as Patrick Patrick David said.

politicians today have to be very careful speaking against crypto or they will have to win the hearts of the crypto community to be able to win a race.

2209  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we need bitcoin... on: December 26, 2021, 01:58:50 PM
Nice topic, though the US assured that they'll be able to pay their debt but it's always better for us to get ready if they will default as we already know what would happen to USD. Having bitcoin in our wallet is truly a hedge for an inflation and since it's not controlled by any government, people will have a liberty to invest and consider bitcoin as a hedge which would result to increase its value due to that particular demand.

printing more is the way to go to pay the debts and the USD has so much leverage for that because it's the reserve. the more they print the lesser the debts will be but it's the people that will suffer from the inflation due to, however.

this is why a country like El Salvador will probably be the one that has the advantage in the coming years. or will we ever see another currency because a country like Myanmar shifted to Yuan (Renminbi) recently?
2210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: December 26, 2021, 01:22:46 PM
I believe that Mario Barrios has a good chance to win this fight since Keith Thurman has not been in the ring for over two and a half years. That time might have taken its toll on his physical condition. Mario Barrios also has a height and arm length advantage, which might help him. It will be interesting to see this fight.

But the thing is that Barrios is the one going up in weight and we don't know if he can handle a full 147 lbs boxers. He was knockout by a midget (Tank Davis) at 140 lbs. What more of a legitimate welterweight with powers in both hands? So I doubt that he can pull an upset just because Thurman has not been in the ring for two years.

losing against Davis i think is understandable since that beast is really good, he knows he can't beat those boys. some say he is following Floyd's steps. but Barrios going up to welterweight is his best option because the guys in the welterweight have already aged including Crawford. it's his time to shine in that division. he only loses once and that's with Davis, he can box, and combined with the right time in moving up, glory days will be restored.
2211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who’s who in the gambling subforum? on: December 26, 2021, 06:03:07 AM
I want to know who are the experts in the gambling subforum. Many of my posts are made in the threads for NFL, UFC and Boxing.
What is the point of collecting such information? Are you into kind of any survey (still not sure how it could help in any means)? (I am sorry if you have already answered for such question; I could not find the reason for this topic in OP itself hence asking).

In my wild guessing, are you going to conduct any competition or similar to anything which are based on different sport events and going to appoint those experts in sport-wise for managing/monitoring or for any type of governing?

I have already mentioned in one of my replies that the point of this collection is for community building in the gambling subforum and for helpful information sharing for sports and bets. If you have a suggestion for someone who is helpful in the gambling subforum, please share the bitcointalk username.

Also, competition for what? If you know the sport more closely, you can already determine if the person is a real follower of the sport or someone who is only in the gambling subforum because their campaigns told them to make gambling posts.

each of them has thier own expertise. if one person only bet on boxing, he would find the prediction of @Boafeng and @bisdak to be great. tips from them would be appreciated. i followed thier tips because my analysis also agreed to what they are saying.

the thread that i follow the most is tokeweed's UFC. anyone who sees the advice of users in the thread agrees to thier picks then all of us win, if the UFC fighter loses, we all lose.  Grin

2212  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: stake.com- Does not have gambling responsibility on: December 26, 2021, 05:44:22 AM
i don't get why you deposit when in fact the reason you want self-exclusion is for you not to spend. yet you deposited an amount to play and lose. the moment you saw that you have deposited and saw that the amount was credited means the transaction went on. that's not a problem since the wallet doesn't know whether you are excluded.

blaming them for that and you losing that amount is not thier fault. you should have avoided visiting stake instead.
2213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Metaverse Cryptocurrencies on: December 25, 2021, 06:37:05 PM
high-end VR Sex toys and a headset are a must to experience climax i love it already. i can't imagine someone really inserting his dick into the sex device and then starts using the headset. it does feel like there will be more ransom emails asking for BTC or else people will see how your face looks like in your climax videos after uploaded.
i always wanted to experience orgasm all the time, i prefer to do it with a real partner. not in the metaverse.

In this case, I found out, what is the difference between VR and metaverse if the metaverse is like VR in general ?  Huh
I don't really understand about this metaverse, but from the answer above, as well as the header that the OP put forward, my question arises as I stated above.

you are already in the metaverse. we are just forum board users this time but if they added features like face, hair, and so on combined with real-time. kinda like the avatar movie but on space only.  metaverse currencies however are just is exactly what money is. the value of real money is just imagined value anyway. this time the money only exists there in the metaverse.
2214  Economy / Gambling / Re: VR online casinos? on: December 25, 2021, 04:16:06 PM

Did some research and found PokerStars offering VR poker which might be the only other alternative in this case. There is very little demand currently for VR gambling since it's a niche and very few people would want to purchase a VR headset just for the sake of gambling.

However, I don't see why you are trying to find another VR headset that is Oculus Quest 2 goggles has the highest resolution among others, it's 1,832 by 1,920 (per eye) compared to Playstation4 and steamVR.
You misunderstood him. He meant to say that slotsmillion supports Oculus rift, but not quest 2 which is his headset.

not surprising why there are few demands for VR gambling. if it needs an expensive headset, then it's for those who can afford it. i wonder if there really are players out there and a bitcoin VR casino where possibilities are almost real, we could be wrestling there with the chat support guys if they don't allow instant withdrawal or if they caught us counting cards.  Grin
2215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: December 25, 2021, 03:37:25 PM
So after Barrios gets KO by Tank Davis, he decided to go up to the welterweight where in there's a lot of big puncher? The only reason I can think of is that he really is too big for 140 lbs and there's no way he can make that weight in his next fight.

For Thurman, it's been a long layoff away from boxing, but yes, probably this is a cherry pick fight for his comeback. Because admit it or not, Barrios can't take his punches so Thurman has all the advantages in this fight.

it could be an easy fight for Thurman he is already confident in such weight class even the long beauty rest. maybe moving to welterweight can be a good opportunity for Barrios too, he is still younger than those top boxers in this division such as Ugas and Spence, maybe he can beat these guys too aiming for Crawford.

beating the guys who are not in thier prime is a good strategy. Spence is just 30 though.
2216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: December 25, 2021, 03:05:02 PM

though it's too much hype for Chimaev', he really is skillful one that can be compared to Khabib.

It's the fairest to us, but we can't really know the fine print in the championship contracts. Maybe there are some checks in place to make that impossible to happen due to whatever reasons. Anyway, I doubt things will change because this thing will not happen all that much and they won't bother to change anything. Not the most flexible company out there.

it feels wrong to really give the belt to Aljo considering how bad the acting is. but because the disqualification of yan makes him the winner, it will be considered a win which means the belt at stake will be given to him. he knows to himself he didn't win that belt the right way. it deserves a rematch.
2217  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Ang crypto after ng isang super typhoon. on: December 25, 2021, 02:41:21 PM
Isa ako sa mga survivor ng bagyong Odette at ang masasabi ko lang is walang kwenta ang crypto after mawala ang kuryente at signal sa lugar namin. Fiat padin talaga ang sakalam in terms of convenience sa bawat apektadong lugar.

I am from Mindanao too and I am close to where Odette has made a huge devastation.
When we're talking about calamities, or let's say a post apocalyptic scenario, walang magagawa ang pera or any currency in terms of survival.

Let's say isa yan sa disadvantage ng crypto, pero hindi naman talaga ginagamit ang Cryptocurrency as means to provide us our daily needs kasi hindi widely accepted ang crypto sa bansa natin. Pero it is still the most profitable investment in the long term.

2218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi wallet got activated today (Satoshi is back) on: December 24, 2021, 05:00:10 PM
whoever holds that 300+ BTC wallet really know how to hold for that long. if its satoshi, how do we know?

all there is to know is that is an old wallet which during that time, it wasn't even considered a whale, it's only considered a whale now because the value is more than $16M. maybe one day 0.001BTC will also be considered a whale but it wouldn't be satoshi. what we know is that he got a billion.

2219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting to Risk Free Fights on: December 24, 2021, 01:42:35 PM
<...>

this reminds me of the old saying: "do you want to be right or do you want to make money?"
different ways to approach the world
maybe its better to approach betting as a job than as a pure entertainment activity if you want to win on the long run

It depends, I mean some of rich people would never consider betting as a job, it is just pure entertainment on them, however for those unfortunate people, they always consider betting as a job no matter how hard is it for them in winning. Your bets will never be always be right based on the information you've gathered, sometimes it is being bended by something that change everything, a win became a loss and a loss became a win, if you know what I mean.

it's upsetting when the underdog win which you hopefully will not because most of the time the analysis is that a champion will always be the favorite and the odds speaks for it. if you are going to be banking on the underdog, it could just mean that you are really a fan of that MMA fighter which could be entertainment for you. but for a broke man who wants to win big but has small capital, he meant money and might just bet his $50 to win 3x rooting for the underdog.

2220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who’s who in the gambling subforum? on: December 24, 2021, 06:15:04 AM
Despite my admiration for some members, I have never followed anyone's hunches, I like to place my own bets without influence from others, just with my own analysis.

Agree, you don't have to follow them, just take their speculations as your reference as it is your money that you gamble but in the end, you can admire those speculators for sharing their ideas/speculations of the game and you can't notice that you already followed them.

@bbc.reporter, thanks for the mention, I never thought that someone in this forum would notice what I have speculated in boxing or in the NBA, the games which I love the most.

Following them without making an effort is a bad idea, it will not make you grow and improve as a sports bettor, it's called blindly following where your journey might stop whenever they stopped. For me, it doesn't help at all as sometimes if the person that you followed lose their pick, you might also end up blaming him for your loss.

they are giving ideas and tips on betting, it's not that we follow those popular guys in the gambling section. they are however good at what they are doing and picking which team has the higher chance of winning.

sometimes there is no schedule of fights in the sports that i follow but because i wanted to make some profit, i just pick the bets they chose because more than likely they know the sports than i do.
