1241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you not hodling on: July 06, 2023, 04:28:22 PM
as of this time, I think people are very aware that before halving the price might still be dumped down to $20k so holding right now might just make you lose a big opportunity. i could be wrong in this but in the past halving, the price also dip almost down to $3k again before the bull run. it was like retesting the last support level. if it could happen again, $15k might happen. so much of a dream world. we just don't know the future.
1242  Economy / Economics / Re: Fix the money, Fix the world. on: July 05, 2023, 07:16:24 PM
World control is not just about money.
Even though there is some truth in what you say, when it comes back to the context of rich and poor, it is actually necessary, everyone cannot be rich and everyone cannot be poor.
It's like an inseparable chain where if there is rich then there must be poor because we cannot define us as rich if there is no comparison.
Talking to bitcoin needs to be remembered that this is also only one of the options for investing and trying to get profits, not that this is the only person to get rich so that in this case everyone has their own way. Those of us who are in bitcoin will definitely choose bitcoin as a means to benefit ourselves but we also cannot compare ourselves with others because everyone has their own strategy and it could be that other people also think we are wrong because they have their own perspective.

in some aspects, OP's idea of fixing the world has a point. but on Earth, it's the rich guy's world. whoever has more BTC will rule and will still oppress the young countries. once one country is dependent on the rich, you can expect the poor country will get sanctions.

money had been fixed many times in the past and we always return to Gold and silver backing the real currency but after hundreds of years pass, we'll be back again to one empire losing its grip passing the torch to another.
1243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrencies and Financial Crime on: July 05, 2023, 06:05:57 PM

we encourage criminals to use crypto and see for themselves if they can't really be traced. in the past, there are already coins being frozen in the exchanges, and criminals are traced and subpoenaed because they were caught. these are kinds of proof that crypto can help lessen financial crimes instead than make worse.

its banks who are afraid of crypto because if they use crypto, they will be traced because they are the ones who normally launder money.
1244  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kyc for accounts or wallets on: July 05, 2023, 05:43:17 PM

if there will be kyc to BTC wallets like Electrum, users will definitely decline faster than they know. it would mean the team is compromised.
if its possible for the wallets to be compliant if the government mandates them, i think those close-source btc wallet companies will comply with what government asks. we are living in crazier times. who knows what could happen but for now, we are lucky to have no btc wallet that as for kyc.
1245  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com Disabled Account After $250K WIN on: July 04, 2023, 01:26:43 AM
he is asking for donation in that medium page usingv the nowpayments

OP is the worse scammer. you couldn't just complain about your money not sent to you. even if its true that they don't send your win, you don't ask donation for that.  you are using the situation to scam people.
1246  Economy / Economics / Re: I cannot go home if I don't make a lot of money now!! on: July 03, 2023, 03:04:38 PM

i have heard of this from a comedian i think.
a man is loved with a condition. if you don't have a job and money, your wife may keep nagging you all day and eventually throw you out of the house for good. but if you have a job and money, you will be loved.

this I think is actually wrong because you are a man and you have responsibilities to your family.  a man has to provide for the family. so consider very well to chose a woman that will help you and understand when you go home with less money.
1247  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 1xbit exit from the forum, leason for newbies on: July 03, 2023, 02:52:47 PM

For those who get on-board on that signature campaigns, it's either they used their burner account and so they doesn't care about the negative feedback they got or just totally ignorant about the accusations against this casinos.

In any case, good riddance for them, if the casino are not going to pay for their campaign then it just shows the character of 1xbit.

They still paid their participants in their last campaign, and they still have a need for these participants if there are special events like World Cup or seasonal campaigns like holiday seasons they are going to launch signature campaigns so they need these accounts and these accounts have no choice but to apply because no signature campaigns will accept them.

They are scamming their players but they are generous to their promoters because they need these promoters to supply their platform with new people to scam.

afaik they are buying those accounts that joined their campaigns. there are talks about this in a channel i have been. they PM those users and offer to buy the account so whenever they are doing campaigns, its just their employee in a mini cubicle and the operating 10 accounts trying to post in the gambling section.

they would be back later to promote 1xbit or create another casino to promote. they did attempt to have other casinos back then but users here had linked 1xbit to those casinos still.

1248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: July 03, 2023, 02:28:04 PM
I believe that in most countries the age limit of gambling is the same which is from 18,but nowadays people below this age do gamble in an offline casino and government don't care about doing their job. Two streets after mine is a Betking shop,I do see boys below 18 that are always there gambling and I begin to ask myself that where is the government. It is these same underage boys that will go and steal to gamble they are very much vulnerable to addiction. Likewise an online casino will be the same thing happening, fake information can be used for KYC.

well kids do have the freewill to do that. i hid with my friends playing cards when i was in high school. no one dares to stop us even when older people are around. gambling is common in my country, the only time the authorities will stop a teen from gambling is when a camera is on them.

when the media snoop on them, that's when the action began. but in most cases, kids gambling in hidden places is common is fine. as long as it's not in a public place. they are safe.
1249  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: What Wallet Do You Store Your Bitcoin? on: July 02, 2023, 05:35:36 PM
I'm new to Cryptocurrency and instead of learning the in and outs of trading, I decided to buy BTC and hold. The reason being, is because of the dozen websites I've visited they all claim BTC will skyrocket in the upcoming years. People tell me that if I buy BTC on Coinbase, then I should transfer the BTC to a Cryptowallet.

Wouldn't it be best to store the BTC in a wallet that pays high interest?

Nexo: Nexo pays its customers high-interest rates on crypto, stablecoins, and standard currencies such as USD, EUR and GBP. Storing crypto or stable coins on Nexo will earn interest back in those coins at a rate of between 8% and 12%. Nexo pays interest of 12% on standard currencies such as the U.S. dollar and the euro, far more than any typical bank pays.

But there are other crypto wallets that pay high interest.
If someone was to buy and hold, why would they get a wallet that doesn't pay interest?

depends if you trust Nexo. there used to be a lot of these platforms that pays interest like Blockfi. they filed for bankcruptcy afaik in the early days of this current bear market. It's surprising Nexo survived after Luna.

if it's a wallet that you meant, there is no wallet that pays interest. BTC price itself grows in the bullrun. be reminded that when you send your coins in Nexo, its not your coins anymore.
1250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: U.k Approves Cryptocurrency As A Regulated financial Activity. on: July 02, 2023, 05:28:55 PM
Regulation is good as long as it encourages growth & allows an asset & companies involved in it to thrive. Hopefully the UK don’t act like the US with their notorious SEC to stifle bitcoin & companies involved in it. Bitcoin is going to play a huge role in the future of finance so forward thinking, open minded governments can give themselves an advantage by being kind to bitcoin now. Hopefully the UK are going to work with us rather than against us for both theirs & our benefit.

with the number of articles online where Gensler had resigned, i think it won't be long the real news will come since there are already big names and lawyers stating his supposedly role as regulator.  UK approving crypto is somehow just as Hongkong did. they may just not have approved it all but i think this is the start at least they didn't stifle innovation of payment methods.

i heard the UK government is actually considering the exchanges as betting platforms.
1251  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Not Just Buy BTC? on: July 02, 2023, 04:59:01 PM

Well, there is no advanced strategy in what you mention, it is simply using the mentioned pair to buy, if it is necessary to mention that part of the trading strategy is to protect the BTC in a dex wallet, since apparently it is only interested in "just buying" bitcoins today.

Trading strategies vary according to what you want in the short, medium and long term, in any case as long as your strategy is only to buy, DCA works.

i don't think he is a trader. for someone who writes just those sentences, you can already tell all he wants to do is hold.

withdrawing your coin from coinbase as well will be a good idea. you don't wanna wait for them to ask for your SS ID as part of KYC, while they still are not doing that, withdraw your coin after buying. buying just BTC and keeping it in a wallet is often the strategy of every investor.
1252  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will fall or rise? $30400 the recent price on: July 01, 2023, 04:29:29 PM
After the SEC did not want to approve bitcoin spot ETF, bitcoin fall from $31000 back to $30400 as of today price. Bitcoin has been staying between $29400 and $31250 since many days. The support as been at $30000 while the resistance as been at $31000. The market is difficulty to know which position to take. What are you people predicting that bitcoin price would be? Is bitcoin breaking the resistance and increase above $31000 which could take the price to $35000, or bitcoin price is getting back to $25000 again?
Looks in this time SEC Commission announcement not want to approve bitcoin spot ETF not bring impact yet although bitcoin price dump but success reach up to higher price again. Have been one days after SEC denied with Bitcoin spot ETF and looks bitcoin keep stable around $30,500 current price, current highest price from bitcoin around last several days on $31,000 and seems difficult reach until $35000 but not close yet chance for bitcoin back to higher price again. Waiting few weeks later has bad news publishing by SEC Commission or not because they have power how to make many investor panic for selling bitcoin and price drastically drop.

Gensler will approve it soon which will push the prices up breaking the resistance. for now, the price will just be floating in that range until the short squeeze take effect. a lot of institutions i suppose are also expecting the SEC approval since it's BlackRock who is applying. they wouldn't apply for it if there is no chance.

besides $31250 is not yet the peak of the price. this is if you look at the TA base on rsi alone.
1253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Cash is pumping, why? on: July 01, 2023, 06:51:23 AM

seem a happy ending for Roger Ver. EDX supported his forked coin and yes he still made it. so it wouldn't also be surprising to see blackrock will also be forking BTC. it's going to be hard for them to accept coinbase will be holding them by the neck when the spot ETF will be approved. Litecoin had soared high as well. i think it will beat its last ATH back in 2017. these institutions are going to pump all coins.
1254  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The price dropping, any reason the huge dump? on: June 30, 2023, 05:20:36 PM

happy feeling's gone when the price went more than $31k and then the red candle plunges the price. feels like it's been manipulated to make everyone frown while our excitement was at its highest. Gensler can really ruin the day when you think you're the happiest.

i think there is the need for more countries that encourages banks to support crypto not just Hongkong and Spain so that crypto will not reply to US regulators.
1255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yield farming vs Staking on: June 30, 2023, 10:45:02 AM

when your tokens leave your wallet, it definitely is not yours anymore and this is required when you are yield farming and staking. something that we always want to avoid so the saying goes "not your keys, not your coins".  yielding using the stablecoin has been scary since the time of luna.

but we are still interested to send out coins though all for the money we can make when apy is attractive.

1257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bet on live game or while game hasn't started yet? on: June 26, 2023, 02:43:23 PM

when you bet while the game is live, may mean he is not sure who to bet or he doesn't know who those players are. there are games that i do this like tennis but when it comes to basketball and i already know who could win the game, i would bet already before the game start.

bookmakers such as Stake sometimes suspend the betting already when they see one team is obviously winning. Sportsbet is probably doing the same.

1259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Casinos Go Bankrupt Because of Player Wins? on: June 21, 2023, 03:37:05 PM

casinos will limit the amount players can bet in situations where they know they can't pay them if they win. i would wonder though what sort of game are they playing because the house always win. for new casino they only have luck base games, it's the old and famous casinos where they add those poker tables and sports that can potentially take a chunk out of their money.
1260  Economy / Economics / Re: The new U.S.-China agreement is a "forced friendship. What awaits the world ? on: June 20, 2023, 08:34:09 AM
