Canelo doesn't have to win against Bivol just to have a 3rd fight with GGG but since Canelo won't take another chance to stain his record then I guess this is an another win in his favor and maybe we can see him to knockout Bivol. I also do agree that he also needs to defeat the latter so that there's no excuses to delay the trilogy again. The fans are already expecting so this time they better make it happen.

Yes, it's not necessary but I doubt there will be an interest in GGG to have a trilogy if Canelo will lose on Bivol.

And from what I understand, promoters or organizers both require GGG and Canelo to win their respective fights as part of the mandatory pre-requisites before making the trilogy happen. Maybe it's best for them to officially organize the trilogy if both boxers came from a win.

I'm not just sure about how true it was.

There will be always an interest in GGG to have a trilogy with Canelo even if the latter will lose its fight against Dmitry Bivol, why? It is because GGG is not Bivol, he is always asking for the 3rd fight in the past even if Canelo is not interested, he wanted to close the fight because their standing is 1-1. But I think their trilogy will be postponed if Canelo will lose against Bivol as he will likely go for a rematch first.

I'm also not sure of their agreement but as far as I understand it, Canelo already signed it because it was a two-way deal including GGG but the money talks isn't yet agreed so the deal is not yet done. Also GGG have not signed the deal, don't know why because the last time I heard he was still busy preparing against Murata. Either way, we will know about it soon.
2202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 23, 2022, 02:06:19 PM
The game 3 result just made their game 2 win look like a fluke. I expected a close score but DeMar DeFrozen went back to his usual playoff self hehe. Not to put the blame entirely on him since the rest played bad too. Bucks didn't even need a Giannis heroics to get a comfortable win. Such a shame really.
Adjustments. That's what I see behind why the Bucks won this game tonight. They saw how good DeRozan is when ignored and they changed it. Bobby Portis coming back after that eye injury is also a big addition to them. Funny thing, it made him better at shooting the ball.  Grin
Then there is Jrue Holiday back from how he played last year's championship. More penetration, fewer long-range shots. That's his signature and I think he realized that after losing at home.
Now we wait for the Bulls' answer on what adjustments they will make.

Precisely! DeRozan's is well defended, Bucks didn't allow him to take an easy shot. Bad thing for the bulls, both Lavine and DeRozan

are not producing well for their offense. If your scorers are limited, and no one is stepping up, there's no way you can win with the defending

champ, they are playing as one and they really doing the damage.

It's time for the Bulls to find ways to work things out and adjust to try tieing this series to extend their chance to move forward.

I thought he would go for another 40 points. Great job by the bucks, they made the right adjustment but I'm expecting the Bulls to win in game 4 so they could even the series. It was a big embarassment but it's just 1 game loss, so it should not affect them in game 4.

The Bucks experience last season is totally speaking right now, they know how to adjust if one of their main scorers are injured and today they proved it again that they are not an easy team to defeat. They are spreading the ball evenly so that others could have their own time to contribute without getting Giannis tired, they tighten their defense so that DeRozan cannot shoot freely. Good job! Bulls should know how to adjust too because their style right now is not efficient against the defending champ.

Alright! Cheesy

It seems that the majority here are having a good day after winning the games earlier, congrats guys!
Let's bet again, here is my pick for the games tomorrow and let's see if we can have a streak. Here it is.

Miami Heat -2.0
Chicago Bulls +2.5
Phoenix Suns -1.5

Good luck everyone!

Nice, I'll tail you on the Phoenix and Heat because the I still believe that the Phoenix Suns could still win even if there's no Booker on their current line-up and they may struggle but knowing that CP3 is there then they can always figure something out. While the Miami Heat will have a tough game against the Hawks this time as the series is now 2-0 but Butler can always carry them just like the past 2 games. GL!

It’ll definitely be a test for the Suns with no Booker. As soon as he went out last game the tide turned and the Pelicans immediately took control of the game. With such a small spread at least you can bet them to win that if you’re going to toss money on them, but it’s definitely not a sure thing. I think we’ll be able to tell very early on if the Suns are going to be able to keep up without Booker. Might not be the worst thing to let some time play out and see how the game is going before tossing down a live bet. The Pelicans have to be thinning this is their chance to extend the series and give Zion a chance to come back and help them finish off the Suns. The latest is that Booker may not return this series….

Yes, the Pelicans reacted so quick after Booker was sidelined on the 3rd quarter and they managed to turn the table into their favor that's why they have won last time but today it's different even without Booker they still managed to win the game with ofcourse CP3's 14 power assists and 28 points while Ayton grabbed 17 rebounds and also 28 points. The Pelicans have only managed to claim the 1st quarter but later on the Suns have snatched the lead until the very last minute of the 4th quarter.
2204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] George Kambosos vs Devin Haney - Undisputed Lightweight Title - June 5 on: April 23, 2022, 01:04:26 PM
Haney is more tactical he seldom makes a mistake and a good counter puncher.

This is what Lopez doesn't have. If we still remember how Lopez fought when he lose against Kambasos, he was so aggressive that he forget to pay attention to his defense, the country punches of Kambasos went through although at some point he hurt Kambasos but it wasn't enough to KO him.

Haney by decision is probably the result.
But the thing is, if he just make one single mistake in this fight, an aggressive Kambosos might take advantage of it. An old Linares almost knock out Haney in their fight, it's that Linares is tired late in the round that's why he didn't make a follow-up. So if that is Kambosos, then maybe it will be a knock out win. Yes, he is a technical fighter, no question about it, but Kambosos might counter it with his pure aggressiveness just like in the Lopez fight.

If Kambasos has the power to KO Haney, he can.

Based on his record, he is only a 50% KO puncher, with 10 KO's only from 20 wins, while Haney has a 55.5% KO rate.
https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/646781

Kambasos may hurt Haney but could not KO him for sure.
We will have to see, Haney doesn't have a good chin as I have said, and if Kambosos will touch that hard then we can see if Haney can readjust his gameplan or that power of Kambosos is enough to score a knock out victory for him.

But the bookies is leaning towards the defense of Haney and his accurately in counter that could win the fight for him. That's why he is the favorite. But we can't underestimate the champion here who is making his defense in his own soil.

Haney himself knows that he don't have a strong chin and he also knew that if he will get caught by Kambosos's power punch, he won't be in a good situation that's why Haney is focusing on his defensive style rather than his power because that's just his only way to win a fight but he cannot be underestimated because we knew how accurate his punches are and Kambosos should also be aware of that. This will be a tough match to see this June, both of them have their own skill set so this will be interesting.
2205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Sultan vs Butler - WBO Bantamweight Interim title fight. on: April 23, 2022, 12:00:11 PM
Breaking news:

Paul Butler wins the WBO interim title fight via unanimous decision against Sultan.

Fortunately, I have not put any bet for this fight due to my favorite bookies not covering this one.

https://www.boxingscene.com/paul-butler-boxes-past-jonas-sultan-capture-wbo-interim-title-results--165714

Its very unfortunate to see how the fight end up and seems sultan fighting style is so lousy since he can't adjust for what gameplay Butler show on that match.

Now Gibbons is packing up things since Butler take the belt.

If Casimero is there for sure we can see different story on that fight since Butler looks like like lack of stamina especially on late rounds on that match.

Agree, it could have been a KO win for Casimero but it is what it is lol. As I've said in my previous post that the real enemy of Casimero is himself. All he has to do is make the weight and walk into the ring and go home a champion still but unfortunately, it didn't happen as making weight for the bantamweight limit is just not possible for him in this stage of his career, he need to move up now.

I also agree that Casimero should move up to another division where his regular weight is not a problem rather than forcing himself to loose some of it every fight, now that he is stripped, he don't have any reasons to stay in the bantamweight division.

Butler could end up so beaten if Casimero haven't caught redhanded Grin However, we should give some credits to Sultan for trying his best to endure Butler's punches, no doubt he is strong but his IQ level doesn't match with Butler.
2206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 22, 2022, 05:30:21 PM

What I really want to know is just an overview, if Canelo loses to Bivol, how would the fans react? Would they still want the CANELO and GGG fight if the Russian comes out victorious? I would honestly see it as if the 3rd place winner wanted to face the champion, it's something like that, it wouldn't make a sharp sense, now, if Canelo sweeps Bivol, the Canelo vs. GGG fight for me would be the best fight of al except these 5 years that come from boxing fights, because there is already much more emotion, the fans would be crazy, the bets would be crazy, the adrenaline would not only be in the boxers, but in all of us, I include myself because even that makes me excited .

If Bivol wins nothing will change the fans will still want the GGG - Canelo fight its long been overdue the fans want it I believe whatever happens to their respective fight because as boxing experts say style makes a fight and both GGG and Canelo can deliver an exciting fight because of their style, they are not on a conflicting style they have the same style they go for it and can stand toe to toe and loves to beat their opponent on their own game.

The trilogy will make it a very interesting and compelling match if Canelo wins his fight against Bivol. So that there will be no excuses for both sides to not fight.

Yeah, they have the same style that's why their fights are very close, specially the first one that goes into a draw, but that match is very confidential that's why the trilogy can end all the arguments as to who is the real winner between this two great fighters.

2207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 22, 2022, 04:42:51 PM
I read an update on Booker's injury. He's been ruled to be out indefinitely and will most likely miss games 3 and 4. Betting odds will be much more favorable to the Suns fans until he returns. I'm not too worried since Suns still have CP3 and they have a deep bench.

Yes but I think it is not that serious because Booker can still walk fine after that incident though it's clear that he's been hurting after he did that, after all I still do think that specific chasedown wasn't worth it but it already happened so what they have to do now is to find some another way and figure out what to do best while Booker is recovering.

Yes, CP3's presence in the court is still a threat as his IQ skills are good. Though they could struggle against the Pelicans but I don't doubt that they can still win after the upset and they can still manage.

Yes, they can find ways. There are role players who can provide for the Suns and CP3 would lead them for another victory.

It's going to be close since Booker is their main scorer, but with compound efforts together with their tight defense, they
can still work it out and win this series.

Still far and we can't conclude if what would be the outcome and who will win between these two.
Pick according to how you project if who's going to win.

They have Payne, they can always utilize him and he will step up his game just like what he did when CP3 is injured last time and also Bridges. They can always find some way to fill the spot of Booker, but the question now is can be that effective against the Pelicans who is so determined to go such extremes just to survive the 1st round especially now that Booker is injured. Anyways, we will find out tomorrow.

Kambasos may hurt Haney but could not KO him for sure.

In that case we gonna expect the fight to last long or to reach up to the officials decisions and it would be nice if one of them will dominate the others and somehow a way find to beat his opponent by knockout because that would be best thing to conclude the match and to win the fight.

There's a very high chance that this fight will go for 12 rounds rather than seeing a KO, I'm not saying that there's no chance for both boxers to have a KO win but both of them have almost the same record and capabilities. A 5.5% difference in KO history is not that much but as I said, a chance is a chance but it's really slim, IMO. We might see a consecutive exchanging of blows because both of them have a point to prove.

Haney is not known for his power, Kambosos though is his fight against Lopez shows that he has some serious power when he was able to knock down Lopez with that overhand right and everyone was surprised by that power behind. But it will be hard to knock out a defensive fighter in Haney. So yes, this could go in a full 12 round fight.

I somehow agree on that because Haney is much more known for being a defensive fighter than for his strength/power, however his power is more greater than Kambosos's, IMO. Kambosos may have defeated Lopez but it was a unanimous decision because Lopez also manage to knock him down somewhere in round 9 or 10. But yes, this fight may also end into the judges hand.
2210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: April 22, 2022, 02:18:52 PM
Well, the truth is that I don't know why this fight has caused such a stir in the world of oxeo, however what we need to remember is that Garcia won, that if Tagoe did or didn't, that he almost won that he almost didn't win, the one who won was Garcia and that is something that must be respected, no matter how much discussion or debate there is, those are the results, many lost because I know that Tagoe promised for this fight, sometimes I even thought he was going to win, but Garcia prevailed.

That's how boxing is, sometimes whoever has the best technical foundation wins, whoever hits the best or whoever does the knockout, for now you have to accept the results, this is what it is.

People tend to forget that this fight is for Garcia and for Garcia only, it ain't about Tagoe having a chance to beat up the young boxer because in the first place, Garcia's camp and Oscar Dela Hoya have picked Tagoe for a reason because they knew that Garcia is in need of a win after his lay-off and of course after the Garcia-Campbell fight. Now that Garcia have won, the camp has made a correct decision for that.

Some people didn't forget about that fact because just like me, it was just we just hoped too much for Garcia that we could see some KO or impressive fight from him as he's already confident enough to fight again on his recent interviews and for that we expected something like the way he used to fight in the past years. Unfortunately, we didn't get what we expected but yes, a win is a win.
2211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: April 22, 2022, 12:34:13 PM
It's now official we have a fight we should all do away with Casimero - Butler OP should create a new title or anyone here should create a new thread for this exciting fight, it's unexpected but we'll have a good fight, of course, I'll go for Sultan here and I hope he wins.

We have a fight! Official Weigh-in Results for the Probellum Liverpool Main Event
Paul Butler: 117.8 🇬🇧
Jonas Sultan: 117.6 🇵🇭

Sultan vs Butler is a 50-50 fight for me. Butler has the advantage of being on his homecourt but we all know that Jonas Sultan has a big heart and he trained hard for this fight because for their team this is expected.

For the information of those who did not know, Jonas Sultan defeated Casimero on their fight last 2017, this may boost the confidence of the Filipino pug coming into the fight.

@Baofeng, can you change the title of this thread bro, I think there is no need to create another one for Sultan vs Butler.

I agree on that 50-50 and I also think Jonas Sultan has the advantage he needed to defeat Paul Butler in his own territory because of that fact that he also defeated Casimero before in Cebu, Philippines.

Though, this fight might be a tight one because Jonas Sultan is not that capable to defeat Butler by a knockdown or TKO. So my best guess would be a unanimous decision or maybe SD.

2213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: April 21, 2022, 03:56:32 PM

On the other side, I cannot blame Canelo for avoiding GGG that time as it could stain his record. I mean he cannot afford to lose again from that defeat he suffered from Mayweather, he's building his career to have some legacy in the industry which he did and now that he's already at the peak of his prime, he can now destroy whoever he wanted to fight even if it's GGG.

This one is true I mean we can't really tell the exact reason why Canelo is avoiding to have a trilogy against GGG but he already prove his skills, strength and power against GGG by winning for two times. Though, there are some speculations that Canelo's victory during their fight have some sort of questionable but then I think Canelo now is more focus and looking forward to face new fighters and opponents. Though, I wouldn't disagree that Canelo vs. GGG trilogy will be a good fight to watch for if happen again.

Canelo have only won once in their 2 fights and that's the 2nd fight after their draw, if Canelo have indeed won twice then I seriously think there's no reason anymore to have a trilogy as Canelo have already proved his point to GGG. Also there is really no exact clear reason about Canelo's avoidance, what we just know is what he said but it doesn't really make some sense.
2214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: April 20, 2022, 04:23:41 PM
As of today, I don’t think any teams outside of the Bucks/Nets/Warriors have a good shot at being NBA Champions.

I will admit I have to agree with you there but since NBA is NBA, we should always expect the unexpected.

Basically, we just based our analysis, purely on how deep the roster of a certain team is. Therefore, only those teams that have a deep lineup will probably have the chance to take the NBA title this year.

Let's hope no serious injury will happen to any competing teams today as it will be the turning point for some teams to advance.

How about the Phoenix Suns, aren't they included in that discussion? They could get the championship this season too. However, such unfortunate news have happened earlier on the Game 2 of Suns-Pelicans where Booker have been injured. There's no new updates if it's just a minor injury but judging on how Booker reacted after he got it, I can say that it's not that serious.

However I agree that the only healthy teams have the most chances to win the championship this season.
2215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: April 20, 2022, 04:00:10 PM
Unfortunate news for Casimero fans, he's now out of the match and a huge chances that he also lost his belt for violating the rules of BBBOFC.
How they will respond? And if ever they are able to respond, will WBO accept their statement?

The next 48 hours are critical for Casimero.

Even if they explain I doubt that he can still retain his belt, there's Sultan vs Butler fight that has been set and they are fighting for the belt what Casimero have so for sure even if they explain he still lose that belt as he violate the written rules of BBBOFC.

Now the chances for fans to see the Inoue vs Casimero became more slimmer as Inoue's camp for sure will not interested to fight Casimero at this current state.

Everything is not going well for Casimero, he broke the rules, and he has to face the consequences. However, though this is a bad news, I am still not that sad because I'm seeing Sultan fighting Butler which I think the Filipino has the edge on this fight, hopefully he will be listed as an underdog.

Very bad on their camp and they just burned their self ror taking video while doing that violation. I think the people surround him is so amateur that's why they didn't take extra precaution upon doing that actions. But since he willingly do that bad actions I guess we should wait for the update on what Casimero camps release a statement regarding on this unfortunate incidents to them. If they cannot convince the officials then this will be a huge loss for him.
I don't know what to react after I saw the news, how can they be so dumb about it and they even post it on the internet? Is his camp really that excited because they want to show Casimero's preparation. For sure they already knew the rules, now Casimero is in a very deep trouble as he should explain in less than 30 hours from the time of this writing why he did that.

Also, I have read that the WBO is already suspecting what did Casimero do to lose such 10 pounds for just a matter of days and now that questioned has been answered.
2216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 20, 2022, 02:26:42 PM
Huge win by the Pelicans here?

Does anyone see that coming betting on the Pelicans ML live?
Booker got injured and that changes the chance of the Suns in the game, Nah, this is not good for the Suns, Paul again is at the same scenario in the past.

I guess there was no one here betting on Pelicans ML, maybe there was some who risked that +9.5. I think the Pelicans is the worst team in this playoffs. But they did the unthinkable today. I lost my bet for the first time since the playoffs. I haven't watched the second half because I thought Suns will just bury the Pelicans further. Is Booker good for the next games? I hope he is just fine. They worked hard so much to reach that top 1 rank. It would be very very sad if Booker exits this whole playoffs.

Yup, no one see this coming, the Suns open up as -9.5 or -10.5 betting favorite and for sure majority put their bet on it. So obviously, I also lost, was happy with my 2 earlier bets because it's already a sure win specially Memphis over Twolves. Miami though has to dig deeper, but no problem with Jimmy Butler taking over the game. It's just sad and unfortunately that Booker injured himself trying to block a shot that result to the number 1 seed being upset in game 2 at their home court.

Still there's a reason to congratulate you for getting a 2 wins over your 3 bets, it was just too unfortunate for Devin Booker to be injured for forcing himself to block Hayes's shot because they can still recover as there's still lots of time left before the game ends and that particular incident was just in the 3rd quarter. I cannot just understand why he did that because even CP3 didn't force himself to chase Hayes.
2217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 20, 2022, 01:52:09 PM
Who’s watching the match between the Pelcs and Suns? Currently on 3rd quarter break while Pelc is leading with 7pts. It’s a good opportunity to put a live bet for Suns since they has a high chance to comeback on this game. I already place my bet with -4.5 Suns with good odds. I hope Suns will continue to pressure attacking Pelcs on last quarter.
Did you make that bet before or after Booker suffered a hamstring injury? It wasn't a bad bet but Ingram just keep hitting crucial shots in the final minutes to maintain their lead. There's nothing the Suns could have done to stop him.

It's worth noting that Booker was showing a great performance before the injury as he scored 31 points in just 25 minutes. So I think he could have made a decisive contribution in the 4th quarter, and the Suns could have won if he hadn't got injured. Let's hope Booker doesn't have a serious hamstring injury. Otherwise, the Suns may have big problems in the upcoming matches.
If Booker haven't got injured in the 3rd quarter then I think they could've end the game in their favor with a 2-0 standing in their series game. But yeah, another unexpected things happened although I think if Booker didn't force himself to chase Jaxson Hayes he could've avoided that injury. This could be a big problem to the Suns especially now that this series is expected to reach at least Game 5.

Note: Game 4 and Game 5 is a back to back game which will happen in New Orleans, so if Booker can't at least recover for less than a week then their team is indeed in a dangerous spot as the Pelicans will take that as an advantage.
2218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: April 20, 2022, 01:21:31 PM
^ I think it's all about the money, and Canelo might think that he will beat GGG because he is old already. I'm not saying that he waited for GGG to get old, but with no potential fighters except LHW, but it won't give him the money that he could get from fighting an old GGG in a trilogy? Why not? And after this fight and he declare as a winner then he can tell everyone that he is the best fighter in the world right now and stop the discussion about their infamous fights.

Well, if it's not about the money then what is it about? I would not believe if Canelo would say that he wants to end that discussion once and for all because if he really thinks that way then he should've fought GGG long time ago. Anyways I agree that defeating GGG again on their trilogy will make him the best fighter in the world in todays modern age and no one can doubt that.

He should listen to what the fans are asking, Canelo is one of the best now, but you are right, defeating GGG would make him the best fighter. So hopefully, after the fight of Canelo (if he wins) is over, a trilogy will already be on the line. We've seen Ugas vs Spence ( good fight), but GGG vs Canelo is a better fight for sure.

What about the Mavs big win against the Jazz?

They open up as an underdog +5.5 if I'm not mistaken, was able to get at 1.90 pre-game betting. But when the game was about to start the odd swing to 1.8x something if my memory serves me right. And what a game by the Mavs, down almost the entirety of the game but Brunson and Kleber do the damage.

It's very evident in the first game that the Jazz cannot dominate the Mavs despite the fact that they missed their star player. In game 2, everyone stepped up, especially Brunson who delivered big time in that game, they shine when Luka was out and I must say that this is going to be a long series.

Mavericks needed to step up their game more because Luka won't be there to help there for atleast 2 more games and I know they could make the series alive until Luka comes back. I'm seeing that Jazz is a bit more confident now because they have defeated them during the first game but Brunson suddenly controlled the game and contributed 41 points. Also, we cannot possibly forget Kleber's long deep multiple threes that truly helped the team close the game in their favor.

I admit that Naoya Inoue has more chances to win the fight but even how small the chance of Donaire winning this rematch is, a chance is still a chance. There's always an upset and that is possible. I also have some reasons to believe why Donaire can win the fight.
He is the All time favorite considering that he Beats Nonito In their first bout but thistime? it will change .

This is my personal take. During Donaire's first fight with Naoya, he had more chances of winning. That was an opportunity which was more reachable than their rematch in the coming months. In fact, Donaire showed to the world that Naoya is not the monster that everybody is afraid of. He even almost knocked him down if I can still remember it right. But I guess from their first match and their second one, Donaire must be growing a little slower and weaker.

His win would be an upset because he is the underdog at 4.20. If you are a Donaire fan, betting on moneyline is a good bet.

As a fan, that odd is really great reward if Donaire upset Inoue on this upcoming rematch.

Bookies might see the gap from all the possible advantages, though in this sport, upset is always present and fans are
mostly aiming and hoping that their pick will win.We never know how prepared Donaire in this fight, he will try everything
to be the last man standing and earn what title Inoue's holding right now.

Donaire has the power and speed so an upset victory is not a far possibility. If I were to risk my money on an upset win, I would be happy risking it for Donaire than in other fights like Tagoe and Garcia. Donaire has proven in their first match that he could defeat Naoya. He could actually defeat Naoya in their second match. This is not a one-sided fight despite the significant difference in the odds. But of course Naoya is the younger and more athletic and powerful fighter between the two.
That's what makes the fight so interesting to see because Inoue is not guaranteed to win again even if he had won on their first match and even if he's labeled as current favorite against Donaire, that is also not an assurance. Donaire have been training so well after he was defeat on their first match and he even improved throughout the year as he finished 2 fights in just a year with both resulting in a KO. He may be getting old for sure but his body is still young and can still dance against the monster.
