1201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: March 10, 2023, 03:46:49 PM
There is also a second face to face, and still both of them touches each other chin, no pushing or something of any physical thought, it's more of their mouth running on each other faces.

I don't like Oscar though saying that this could be bigger than Oscar vs Floyd that time and it could break their 2.4 PPV records.

What other thinks of the PPV numbers of this fight though? will it be close to 1M? I doubt that they can get to that numbers.

These days, it's hard to reach 1 million pay-per-view (PPV) buys, but let's see. Maybe Oscar, as a promoter, is just trying to exaggerate things to sell the fight more. The trash-talking between Davis and Garcia will continue to generate hype for this fight, so that should be enough to generate huge sales. However, I'm not sure if they'll be able to hit the 1 million target.
1202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: March 10, 2023, 02:53:16 PM
Nothing is unusual here, that's what the major bodies have been doing for decades now. And it's a win-win for them, so it just make sense.

For those who are not aware, they take it as a big deal lol. Should be nothing unusual in the first place.

Aside from that, if that's not the usual procedure, I don't see anyone from 122 that can be a good match for Inoue.

Moving forward, if those critics thinks that Inoue is having a shortcut then they don't trust Fulton to beat the so-called Japanese monster.
And maybe the boxing bodies wanted to create more stir in this division, and so granting Inoue to face their champion Fulton. The thing is that Fulton is more willing to test Inoue in this new weight classes.

I haven't follow this division though, but it seems that Fulton has face the best and so he has to test himself once again by fighting the bantamweight champion. The advantage might be in Fulton since he is the natural 122 lbs. But Inoue though could also be very comfortable at that weight class.

The advantage depends on how each boxer sees it. Inoue might be thinking that he has the advantage, but Fulton could also believe the same. We will only know who is better once they fight. However, based on the betting odds, Inoue is highly favored to win. Therefore, we can give him the overall advantage to win.
1203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 10, 2023, 11:44:42 AM
After being traded to Durant, the thing I feared most and always said was injury. Durant got injured after playing a few more matches, unfortunately he is old and I think that's why he can get injured more easily than other players. If he suffers such an injury during the playoffs, we won't see a good result for the Phoenix Suns.
The team needs Durant, I hope he recovers soon and doesn't get injured again

They need KD to enhance the chance of winning the title. It's a good trade indeed if KD did not suffer for another injury, but we really can't tell what the future will be for each player.

That accident will affect the chance but not necessarily can dictate or accurately tell that it will be
the outcome, the league is still far and there are still changes that may take place.

It's not confirmed yet, but there's a risk that he could miss the remainder of the season. Hopefully, that will not happen.

That's according to this article.
https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/kevin-durant-injury-update-suns-stars-sprained-ankle-expected-to-be-re-evaluated-in-two-weeks-per-report/

Quote
The Arizona Republic reported that there was fear within the Suns organization that the superstar forward could be sidelined for the remainder of the regular season

Durant has shown that he can fit into the team, but with this recent development, it looks like the Suns are at a disadvantage as they gave up their role players for Durant. Without Durant, I don't think they can win a championship.
1204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 10, 2023, 11:21:16 AM
Congratulations to Paul Lee for winning the 3-point shootout. He didn't even take off his T-shirt while shooting, yet he still won the game. It looks like Paul Lee's 3-point shooting has improved a lot, and the good thing about him is that he is a clutch player, so he is not pressured in tough situations.

His total score was 27 points, Lassiter had 21, and Tiongson had 18, if I'm not mistaken.
1205  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Common red flag to detect a scam on: March 09, 2023, 07:38:44 AM
I'll add that one should view everything as a scam until proven otherwise. At every point in time we would be cautious of any message or offer we get and look for reasons that point out that it's a scam. It would be difficult to still fall for a scam that you suspect to be one.

Also, if it's too good to be true, then it isn't.
Probably, that could be the best way to save us from all types of scams. Never trust any investment until you see it with your own two eyes that it’s legit and it’s a profitable one. Otherwise, if you only suspect it that it’s a scam and yet you still fall for it because you based your decision on positive reviews which they can be paid literally, then you’re like as anyone else, easy to deceive because you tend to use your brain the wrong way.
1206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Robbery that attacks Bitcoin Holders on: March 09, 2023, 07:11:32 AM
This could happen to anyone who are holding Bitcoin if they are bragging about it on social medias, that's why staying lowkey is a must. I couldn't see any advantages at all like those who are being featured in television or vlogs who are a multimillionaire in cryptocurrency. The world is getting more scary as the days goes by, we don't even know who to trust. So always make sure that you're not telling anyone about your big hodling of Bitcoin, it could backfire to you anytime.
Whether you have bitcoin or any type of possessions, always keep them in private and never expose them in social media as social media nowadays has been the major source of crimes. I guess the blogger itself is just very confident on his bitcoin hodlings, and he has never thought that disclosing them in the public will put them into danger. Though it’s not bad to post about yourself in social media, but be cautious on what to post so that it will not trigger the silent scammers around.
1207  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: who would you trust? on: March 09, 2023, 06:39:19 AM
As long as you can make a profit, that's okay with me of course. They both have a method that can help us, so I don't see anything wrong with either of the two because the method you tell two people, one old and one new, is that both have a good knowlede in trading.

Therefore, we have no choice here as either of the two benefits us as an individual trader.
profitable in the short term, but let's see how it applies to the long term, whether their strategies are the same or not. Old and professional trader will be better because he is experienced. New traders only know the theory but don't have much experience yet.
But even better is to learn the science of trading, because your own analysis will determine the profit and loss. Don't depend too much on other people.
Yes, both can be profitable in the short term but they will never be reliable and sustainable in the long run. That’s why we should never depend from someone for some trading strategies, let’s develop our own and revise it if it needs to be upgraded. Trading is still an art that we can master, so we should always trust our own analysis from different factors so that we can always achieve our target goals that we have set in trading.
1208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wrong Bets !!! on: March 09, 2023, 06:15:38 AM
I think the mistake can happen to anybody, you shouldn't have to blame yourself for that, next time you just have to be extra careful when placing your bets next time so that you won't endup making similar mistake. It happens to me frequently, most expecially whenever am stressed and I still want to gamble, I will endup in putting wrong amount and I won't notice till the bet have have been successfully and I won't be able to cancel it again. If you have won the game you won't be regretting currently, but because you didn't win that's why you are regretting.
Right. It’s never a new thing for us especially if we gamble but our mind is out of nowhere so we lost our focus, and that’s where mistakes take place. That sad thing is you end up with an empty wallet because of that. I guess it should be a lesson for everyone to never bet if your mind is not yet ready, or deposit only an amount to your wallet that you will be used for betting, so that if ever you commit mistake again, you will not lost extra amount. But the best thing to do is, take extra careful everytime you bet so that you will minimize making mistakes.
1209  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin is to grow your money on: March 08, 2023, 09:53:38 PM
People invest in Bitcoin have their respective goals, especially in increasing their financial in the hope of buying the desired items as mentioned by you cars or houses become many dreams of everyone because after all investing wants a greater return with a certain period.
Indeed, beginners must be at the beginning by learning how to invest in Bitcoin if the main reason they want to be rich quickly then it is wrong because it must need a process to understand how to make money in investment without any doubt.

In Bitcoin one should not be rushed or other reasons, for example, want to profit faster because it is not possible with the results obtained but will suffer losses, I am more agreeing to Bitcoin given a period of 5 years then it will be better.

As beginners for them to learn is an important thing in every experience, it will make his own principles.
People have become more eager to invest because once it will prosper, it will lead to the realization of their future dreams and turn them into reality. And I don’t see negativity on it. The only wrong about investing in bitcoin is when you see it as a get-rich-quick scheme because you will never see it as a long term investment but certainly a short term so you can eventually get your expected profits. While this can happen for veteran investors, but for newbies it’s hard to see profits with bitcoin if you only invest on it as a short term investment.
1210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bold step to invest my fiat in Bitcoin on: March 08, 2023, 09:29:48 PM
Hello guys my curiosity has really gotten the best of me. I was so eager to get involved in the trending Bitcoin currency that is everywhere in my locality. Bitcoin is acceptable in so many small scale business around me in my locality, I mean I had to just ask what was this all about and finally I was introduced here and since my coming I have Learnt alot and still in the process of learning. But I came to understand few things here which gave me the courage to wanting to purchase Bitcoin and keep it so I can see some tangible profit when the price go up . Although the purchase is small but you won't blame me as it's a first timer situation and in addition to the fact that the funds are not available enough for me but I just want to let everyone know am also a Bitcoin holder now and willing to purchase more as bitcoin is also a financial gateway to freedom of saving fund. But I really had to take my Time to understand the whole volatility of Bitcoin before taking this bold step.

So everyone should join me and celebrate this purchase as it went through without any stress and please help me show my image for other viewers as my rank prohibits me to

https://i.imgur.com/NiPto8D.jpeg

Congratulation on your first purchase of Bitcoin, and welcome to the Bitcoin community.  It might be a small amount but who knows, after a decade that amount might grow 100-fold once adoption mass adoption took place.  It is somehow unadvisable to transfer your fund if it is sitting in an exchange because it will be just eaten by the transaction fee.  Better accumulate a good amount first before withdrawing it to your wallet.

If you have an extra fund, you can always accumulate Bitcoin in a small chunk, that is at least a proven strategy for people who has no huge amount of money but wanted to invest.
Good job OP, you are now an official bitcoin hodler. But make sure you transfer your btc to your personal wallet once the amount is getting bigger so you can have the full control on it and you’ll be responsible on its own security. For now, continue to accumulate more bitcoin through DCA, and just buy only using your spare money everytime you see an opportunity to buy. That way, hodling bitcoin for long term is never an issue as you are only using your extra money, and not those that are intended to pay the bills.
1211  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As a newbie I stay off shitcoin and it paid off, Bitcoin is the king. on: March 08, 2023, 10:59:53 AM
Some alts may give you much bigger ROI than bitcoin these says but there are so many alts, literally so many. Lots of them are scam pump & dumps, we have seen so many rugpulls. You have your head screwed on right OP. Bitcoin is King, without bitcoin pretty much all alts would fail.

Slow & steady wins the race & that’s why bitcoin is King. Over 10-20 years bitcoin will make your life, I don’t think any altcoin could hold as much guarantee to do the same.
Yes, established altcoins are capable of giving us bigger ROI than what bitcoin can give, but the problem is how long these altcoins will stay profitable. Especially with the last FTX scandal, altcoins are even more risky to invest than bitcoin as most of the big centralized cryptocurrency exchanges are now prone to scams. That’s why chosing bitcoin over altcoins is a great choice, as you will never be frustrated with bitcoin as long as you are patient enough to wait for its perfect price to sell.
1212  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Emotion and Trade? on: March 08, 2023, 10:00:50 AM
While emotional control is great, you can have top-tier emotional control over your trades but in the end you're still a bad a trader if you don't know how to trade in the first place.
Precisely. Emotional control is just one of those factors that could contribute to the success of trading. Even if you are able to manage your emotions, but the fact that trading is not meant for you, then you can’t be successful and become profitable in trading. That’s why a lot would want to trade for profits, but the moment they endure consistent losses, they end up quitting rather than learning and pursuing their trades.
1213  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you have any financial regrets ? on: March 07, 2023, 09:53:55 PM
I have always learned not to look at my past because it might bring regrets which can influence my mood negatively. Let the past be forgotten because I cannot control it. I want to focus on the future because I can shape them. But among other financial regrets that I have is my inability to complete the technical course that would have given me a better high-paying job. Due to societal and environmental pressure, I had to abandon a technical education and most of my former coursemates have secured high-salary jobs. I regret leaving that training.
Instead of forgetting you could still remember it, in order to learn from your past negative experiences, so you don't commit the same mistakes anymore futurely. That is the positive side of every mistakes: to allow us learning something new which will improve ourselves as individuals. About the technical course, well, it's never too late to accomplish that. Don't intimidate yourself by others who have already completed it and are earning tons of money. You can reach there too!
Stop comparing yourself to others, it will only trigger a negative feeling that will eventually make you self-pity. In fact, if you can’t still accomplish your technical course at the present, I guess it’s not the only way that you can get a high compensation. Improve yourself and develop your skills, and open yourself to a vast of opportunities around. That way, even if you won’t get your dream job, you can always make a living and earn from it from the different side hustles that will fit your skills. It might even surpass your expected profits later on.
1214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I managed to convince my senior dad to invest in BTC on: March 07, 2023, 09:20:45 PM
I would never try to convince anybody... I'm a big crypto enthusiast, but i still consider crypto a high risk investment... I wouldn't want to be responsible if they'd lose their funds.

On the other hand, if they'd made up their own mind and just asked me for assistance, i would gladly help them out Smiley
I don’t see myself too convincing anybody just to invest in bitcoin, and I won’t do that even in the future. I know how risky bitcoin investment is, so if one wants to invest, he should do it by his own willingness and not because i have convinced him. Though I have been in crypto for years, but all those times, I have not even told anybody that I am into bitcoin except for my family and closest friends.
1215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 04, 2023, 02:14:26 PM
The Phoenix Suns are now officially a very scary team after the game against Chicago and they just boost their chances to win the Finals this year. Devin Booker seems like he's getting back to his old self with Durant on their team as he now have more spaces to make shots. Just like what I've said before, It is impossible to double team Durant, Booker, CP3, and Ayton all at the same play.
I may not be rooting for them to win the championship, but I cant deny the fact how strong this team is. Does Chris Paul finally get his first ring this year? Let's see about that lol.

It's probably the effect of getting Durant, Booker suddenly becomes a monster scorer, I mean that is what is to be expected of him and they almost got a trophy if not for Giannis and the Bucks.

But with the acquisition of Durant, they are now a real threat in the West. Perhaps the Nuggets and the Grizzlies will be their worst nightmare. But then again, if Durant keeps healthy all throughout, they are a very difficult to beat with him and the emergence of Booker. Plus they still good one of the best point guard in CP3 and man in the middle Ayton.

Booker now has a higher chance of scoring more because the defense will not be fully focused on him. Unlike before, where he would easily get doubled if he got hot, they cannot do that now because doubling Booker would leave Durant open, who is a high percentage shooter. It's always good to have two great shooters on a team, as it's hard to predict who will make a shot, especially if their chemistry is very effective.

Durant > Irving
Durant > Booker

Both superstar pairing worked.
1216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: March 04, 2023, 01:36:50 PM
Yes, a good fight and at the same time, a measuring stick for Donaire, to see if he can still proceed throughout his career and then go as far as where no other bantamweight did in the past, at 40 years old and others say a way past boxer. But still fighting at a high level despite that sort of disadvantage as he will be fighting a young boxer here.

And he is still very positive, who ever it is Moloney or Santiago Donaire will not back down from the challenges.

Santiago is not a good boxer to use to measure Donaire, as Donaire is obviously the better fighter.

We have seen before how Donaire dominated a young boxer who did not have the same skills as he does, so I wouldn't be surprised if I see a knockout here. Actually, Donaire's loss to Inoue is not a measuring stick to consider Donaire a bad boxer or a boxer that is getting older, because Inoue is just exceptional. As a fan, it has been my dream to see Donaire fight Casimero, but unfortunately, that won't happen now since Casimero has moved up in weight.

Moving on to today's games, we have Northport vs. ROS in the first game. I find this matchup more interesting compared to the last game. Once again, I believe ROS will be playing without an import, and Northport is heavily favored to win. My prediction is that this game won't be close, as Northport will likely control the game, resulting in a high-scoring game.

As per coach Yeng "kinapos daw ng kaguhit ung import na bago" so I also assume that NP will take advantage of this situation as they are still trying to get more win, both RoS and NO are tied with 2-7 based from the latest standing. Let see if how they will play this game and if they will take advantage since RoS will play again without any import.

Good luck, mga Kabayan!

It is definitely a problem for ROS if they don't have an import. I guess they will end this conference without one, as it would be useless to hire another import when their chance of qualifying for the elimination is very slim. Better luck for ROS in the next conference. Therefore, this game is most likely just a non-bearing game for them.

Waste of money to pay for import at this point so maybe the only thing they need is to maximize their existing resources and maybe gain experience this season. Maybe they need to reserve their energy for next season to recover and come up with their bad season this year.

For sure many of their fans are losing hope for them to get a better position and they should look up what mistakes on their rotation they made so that they became a better contender next season.

The Rain or Shine was able to be competitive in the first three quarters, but they seemed to have lost their stamina in the fourth quarter, resulting in a 33-20 scoring and a win for Northport, who dominated the game. Meanwhile, in the second game, which we are currently witnessing, it looks like we might witness a huge upset as Terraferma DYIP already have a double-digit lead with less than 3 minutes remaining in the 4th quarter.

I'm a little disappointed with the game between the Clippers and the Kings. Maybe I'm a little biased, as I had bet on the Clippers with 2.75 moneyline odds during the live game. I thought that my bet would easily lose, but then the Clippers had a good run and even led in the 4th quarter. What disappoints me is that it seems like the refs are calling fouls too easily in favor of the Kings. It appears like they want the home team to win, but for the Clippers to still cover the handicap.

Meralco survived against Converge in a close game. They were ahead in the first half, but Converge came back with a huge 3rd quarter run. Meralco had a good 4th quarter, bringing the game into overtime. Meralco was just lucky during overtime, as Franklin fouled out. If he hadn't, then Converge might have won. Additionally, we saw some action when Ebonia and Maliksi clashed, with Maliksi charged with a Flagrant Foul Penalty 2.

Overall, the game was very entertaining. It seems like one overtime wasn't even enough for these two teams.
