2261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Volatile Gwei Gas Fees help! on: October 20, 2021, 05:27:43 AM
Its like every 10 secs the fees are so volatile according to:

https://ethgasstation.info/index.php?curr=gbp

I sent coins to exchange at 'standard less than 5 mins' fee at 105 Gwei which was recommended at the time on the site above. After like 20 secs later I refreshed that site and now the same fee has gone up to 132 gwei  Shocked

Yeah this really sucks and it happened to me too both on the ethereum chain and on the bitcoin chain. As far as i know you can speed up your transaction, if you have sent it with metamask. Then your transaction will be rebroadcasted again with a higher gas fee. This is not ideal as you have to spend the gas fee twice and there is no guarantee for success but it might be worth a try if that transaction is time critical. There is also a way to remove your transaction from the blockchain, but that is more complicated and you definitely need to follow the guides there step by step.
2262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Issue of fixed Matches on: October 19, 2021, 04:53:31 PM

They are real but you'll probably get scammed believing that you can actually access that information. Whoever selling/telling you these matches is either scamming you or just lying because why not. If I had that information I wouldn't share it with anyone because the more people bet on that game, the more suspicions it would raise and when enough people look at that game, the bets might get cancelled. 99.9% of the time the information you get will be nothing but bullshit.

I actually never thought about it that way but you are absolutely right of course. If they claim to already have a match that is fixed and they want you to join their "private group" for a certain entry fee, then it just has to be a scam because it would mean that those guys already have paid the players or referees in order to fix the outcome of that match, so why would they give away those informations now after they have already paid? One reason could be that they can not bet a to big amount of money on the match because it would be to obvious and the bookmaker would become suspicious. But if they sell the information to other people they could make additional profit, but i guess that would be too dangerous.
2263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Polkastarter dream activated on: October 19, 2021, 04:10:15 PM
I want to know everything about polkastarter, I've been preparing for months to focus on full investment on projects from polkastarter platform and now here we are, is there any do's and don't ? How convenient it is to buy tokens on polkastarter before time runs out? Any one?

I don't have experience with polkastarter itself but i am part of other launchpads and incubators and there are different solutions who launchpads decide who can invest and who not. All have in common, that you need to hold (or stake) a certain amount of the token of the launchpad itself to be eligible to invest into IDO's or private sales. One launchpad that i am part of (poolz) does whitelistings where you get 1 lottery ticket per a certain amount of tokens that you hold or stake and the top 100 holders are getting guaranteed spot to invest into all projects. The other launchpad that i am part of for private sales (DuckDao) has different Tier groups depending on how much token you are holding and then within the groups it is FCFS.
I would not just join blindly any project that is offered but you always need to check the projects yourself.
2264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has Gambling Changed Your Life? Yes? (how) No? (why)? on: October 19, 2021, 11:08:19 AM
To be honest gambling did not change my life at all, i would even say it barely affected my life at all. The main reason for that is, that i only used money for gambling that i could easily afford to lose without it having any impact on my life (i also act like that when i invest into cryptocurrencies, as i also consider them as a very riskieren investment). Also it seems to be the case that i don't get addicted to something so easily, so i also never really had that problem too.
2265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How reasonable is the long-term investment in Altcoins? on: October 19, 2021, 11:01:41 AM
We all know that long term investment in Bitcoin is reasonable but how reasonable do you think long term investment in Altcoins is?
I think long-term investment in Altcoins is full of risks but short time investment is more profitable. Do you agree with me?

There are a lot of Bitcoin maximalist in the crypto space and of course also in this forum, that keep repeating, that every crypto coin except Bitcoin is a sh*t coin, but i strongly disagree with such a statement. Just look at ethereum for example. In terms of functionality and use cases it offers so much more than BTC. Bitcoin nowadays is not a payment method anymore for 99% of the people, but an investment asset just like Gold.
I am pretty sure, that if you choose the right altcoin you will make some nice profit and most likely a bigger one compared to an Btc investment.
2266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: October 19, 2021, 05:45:42 AM
I don't think PSG will win against Leipzig because Neymar and Mauro Icardi won't play.
I might have to agree that it's definitely won't be easy for PSG to win, so avoiding betting on them to win is most likely to be the best choice, PSG are not playing very well even with almost all the squad, and with some key players missing it could be really tricky, maybe both teams to score is a good option here as we saw PSG's defense not doing well in a lot of matches against average and week teams.

If Leipzig would be in a good shape themself then i would agree with your prediction but so far the performances of Leipzig in this season where just as disappointing as the ones from Paris. For many experts Leipzig was the big contender for bayern for the Bundesliga title and now they are only on the 8th position. It's the same in the Champions League where they are in the last place and even lost against Brügge.
So yes PSG is not in good shape, but it should still be enough for Leipzig.
2267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If there is a bull rally in nov-dec 21 then, which altcoin gives us 100x? on: October 19, 2021, 05:37:18 AM
I have heard that the bull rally will come by dec21. If that happens then there is a golden opportunity for investment right now. And if the bull rally comes. So the chances of 100x of the current investment are greatly increased. If you invest in good Altcoin, you will earn a lifetime. So you give me your advice.

There are so many experts and influencers out there that you will always find a few that are giving the same or at least very similar predictions, but of course that does not mean that those predictions have a higher chance to become true in the end. That being said, bitcoin showed some nice gains in the last few weeks and usually the crypto market acts in cycles. First Btc is increasing, then the big and established alrcoins will follow and if we have a real Bull market then afterwards also a lot of the small projects will rise. Sadly i don't really have a good advice for a specific project at the moment and i would be careful because most people that are giving advice are just shilling their own coins.
2268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Issue of fixed Matches on: October 18, 2021, 03:33:29 PM
I was with a friend today who was in a hurry to place his bet on some numbers that were sent to him for some football matches that he believes are fixed. I'm a bit confused how fixed matches work.

Are fixed matches real? Do the coach and players of teams were matches have been fixed, do they consent to it? If you were in a team were your next fixture has been fixed, what will be your reaction?

I would say for a fixed match you need to bribe at least the majority of the players of one of the two teams to let the other team win because a single player can not do to much if we are talking about football (soccer) matches, i mean it would be pretty obvious if he just keeps fouling in the own box for example to create 5 penalty kicks. The more players that know of the manipulation and are also part of it the bigger is the risk of course that one of them talks about it sooner or later and therefore everything comes up. I also think that fixed matches don't happen in the big leagues but only maybe in the third division of the big football nations and maybe in the first division of really small countries.
2269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advantages Of Crypto, Disadvantages of Crypto on: October 18, 2021, 03:28:20 PM
What are the disadvantages of cryptocurrencies.
Scalability,Cybersecurity issues,Price volatility and lack of inherent value,Regulations.

Advantage of crypto currencies. Fast and Inexpensive
It only takes a few minutes to send any amount of money. Regardless of the amount or the destination, Decentralized issuance, Lower fraud risks and Transparency...

Scalability really seems to be the problem of a lot of the old and established crypto projects at the moment. I sent a BTC transaction a little while ago and it took more than a day to finally get through even though i used the recommended transaction fee. That is just way to long if you want to use BTC as a payment, but BTC is more of a investment like gold anyways nowadays. The same is also true for Ethereum though and that is really bad, as a lot of projects are based on Ethereum because of the smart contract functionality and it really hurts, if you have to pay 30$ to send some tokens or even more if you want to make a trade on uniswap.
2270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: October 17, 2021, 06:18:03 PM
Congratulations Team Spirit on managing to complete there Cinderella Run on this TI. Honestly I can't believe that they really beat LGD with a strong draft. TS momentum really help to win this fight.

Absolutely crazy that they really managed to pull it off and win the TI. Absolutely no one expected them to win this i would guess. After every roudn that they have won against VP, OG, or Team secret i was always like "ok crazy that they won this but they will surely lose in the next round against x" but they just kept on winning.
They won the first 2 rounds in the grand final but then PSG.LGD fought back and then i was again like "Ok now it is 2- and PSG.LGD has the clear advantage but then in game 5 Team Spirit managed to counter the strongest strategy of LGD with Tiny and Lycan and managed to win.
2271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 17, 2021, 02:18:56 PM
No stopping bayern Munich today, first half and 5 0 up,never saw these coming.

Yeah i did not expect that as i thought this would be a very tight match because bayern basically has the pressure that they must win to get the top spot of the table back because Dortmund won yesterday and also because so far leverkusen played extremely well in this season. So far Bayern completely dominated the game though and to lead 5-0 in a match against the team that is on rank 3 of the bundesliga table is really insane. I feel kinda bad for the Team of Leverkusen they have a very talented team with a lot of young players that have a lot of potential but today they get completely destroyed. I hope they can recover from that in the next games.
2272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: October 17, 2021, 11:24:14 AM
Man Spirit has been performing WAY too well right now. They just defeated Secret 2-1 right now and now their momentum just got way scarier than before. Secret had a nice first game, they dominated Spirit early on and managed to ride on that till late game. Managed to watch midway in 2nd game and even though there wasn't much happening, Spirit's carries were ahead of Secrets when I left. Came back a bit later to see the third game and Spirit dominating Secret. Secret tried ngl, but I guess Spirit had that momentum and they were pretty confident on the plays after that good 2nd game.

Yeah i would have never thought that team spirit would come this far to be honest i had them picked as one of the teams that would immediately be eliminated after the group stage in the dota 2 ingame prediction  Shocked. Now they have made their way through the whole lower bracket right into the Grand Final of the TI, absolutely amazing. I would still say though that PSG.LGD is the big favorite in the Grand Final, they were the big favorite of most before the TI started and so far they have absolutely delivered, but of course i also thought that VP would be the big favorite against team spirit and the same is true for Team secret so we will see.
2273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptogames - who has heard of them? on: October 17, 2021, 11:12:29 AM
I'm probably the only one in the world who hasn't tried himself in cryptocurrency and moreover in such games. But now I want to try too, but I need some advice.

Those play-to-earn games are probably the number 1 topic in the crypto space at the moment. Axie infinity is the trendsetter here and all those stories of philippines earning way more per months by playing axie infinity then by working at a regular job have definitely stirred up the hype around Axie Infinity and also lead to a lot of new play-to-earn games that are now appearing or are in development at the moment. From all those play-to-earn games that are appearing now i think that only a small percentage will be really successful and still be played in a few years so, as always, it is important which project you choose to invest in or to play.
I personally will try Wanaka Farm once it comes out, which will be this months.
2274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen with eth 2.0. releasing? Lower fee? on: October 16, 2021, 03:29:14 PM
Hi, do you expect big changes after eth 2.0. come, when will that happen?

I guess almost everyone is hoping and expecting that the Ethereum Fees will drastically go down once the full transition from PoW to PoS is finally done and working and this really needs to happen in my opinion otherwise the Ethereum network is not really usable anymore for normal people and small traders. If you have to pay 10$ of fees just to send 20$ worth of ETH to someone else or to pay something then it is just not working for the everyday needs. The same is true for swaps on uniswap of course, if you have to pay 50 $ for a swap than you need to trade 500 $ worth of tokens or more or you would have to pay more than 10% fees which is insane.
2275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 16, 2021, 03:08:46 PM
Transfer rumours:

Manchester City are planning to replace England forward Raheem Sterling, 26, with Bayern Munich and Poland striker Robert Lewandowski, 33. Very interesting news. Will Lewandowski really leave Bayern after so many years. It seemed to me that he would end his career at Bayern.

Source: https://www.bbc.com/sport/58930106

Interesting and even if i don't really care to much about all those transfer rumors this one could really make sense for a different reasons. Lewandowski has a contract at bayern until 2023 so this means that after this season is the last time that bayern would get a transfer fee for lewandowski and even if he is already 33 they could probably still get around 30M € for him as he is probably the best number 9 in the world and he is still on his top level because he is such a athlete role model. Guardiola also knows that Lewandowski is an amazing striker as he trained him already during his time at bayern back in 2013 to 2016.

2276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 16, 2021, 09:15:57 AM
Holly shit  Shocked , just saw the result of the yesterday game from Hoffenheim against Cologne and i am surprised wow !
I really have not expected a win for hoffeheim and also not a win with 5 scored Goals and that Cologne not scored a single one.
Fingers crossed that we dont see more not expected results this Weekend . but i would be good with that if Bayern Munich lose .

I also could not watch the game live and i was also surprised about how clear the result was for hoffenheim as i expected it to be a very open game between two teams that seemed to be pretty much on the same performance level so far in this season. Reading trough the articles regarding the game it becomes clear though that Hoffenheim was not that dominating as it may seem if you only look at the Result. The game was pretty even in the first 30 minutes before Hoffenheim scored the 1-0 pretty much out of nowhere. Then they managed to score 2 goals quickly after the halftime break and from then on the match was pretty much over of course.
2277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba is worth the risk on: October 16, 2021, 09:08:50 AM
Many hesitated to buy Dogecoin all in the name of ( it's meme coin ) and today Dogecoin is 0.25$, something we believe to be impossible in 2017-2019, I was once a 1million + doge coin owner until I sold too early, yea I know Elon musk pumped the coin but think about what a million doge coin would have turned your lives into right now if you bought at 0.00+++, my advice is a million shiba inu won't cost you more than 20-40$ as we speak, that's kind of money everyone can afford to lose, if altcoin season is going to be like 2017ish period this shit coin can surge up to the impossible level

I don't need to warn you that this isn't a financial advice, 20-40$ won't take your life away anyways, I'm just saying it's possible that Elon musk will push Shiba inu too if the chance comes

Everyone has it's own opinion and if you think that Shiba Inu is your number one investment if you have 20 to 40$ to invest then that is totally fine. I personally would never invest into a meme-coin though, because for me they are all sh*it-coins that are very harmful for the whole crypto space because they take away money, liquidity and attention from "real" projects with actual use case and functionality. Also it is not really a meme anymore to me if there are hundreds of meme-coins already out there and still there are appearing new ones each and everyday it's kinda boring already. So i definitely would invest those 20-40$ i a new but promising project with a real use case and roadmap.
2278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESPORTS - predictions and tips (Dota 2, CS:GO, LoL) on: October 15, 2021, 03:29:31 PM
Next #TI10 match (in 30 min) pick:

💰 VirtusPro vs Team Spirit: VirtusPro ML @ 1.63
I was traveling home from work and got just in time to see end of map 1. Now the odds on VirtusPro are @3.2 so I am taking them immediately. Too good to pass up, risky but way too much value to skip.

I am thinking nobody expected OG to loose 2:0. As I said in other thread biggest surprise of the tournament for me so far.

Definitely a bet that is very tempting to take and so far it looks like VP should win game 2. Before this series i was like 95% sure that VP would go through pretty easily but Team Spirit shows some surprisingly good performances so far in this TI and even in this game 2 that is running right now they are showing some incredible group fights even though they are behind more than 20k gold at the moment. So big respect for Team Spirit.
Also Vici managed to win gainst T1 in the end despite being down 0-1 so they managed to do the same as yesterday against EG, seems like they really have no problem to be under really high pressure.
2279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are there more people or bots on internet? on: October 15, 2021, 03:23:22 PM
Bots are dominating humans how to control it?
what will be future !

I am still pretty sure that there are still more humans on the internet than bots and by bots i don't mean automated scripts and stuff where everybody knows that those are not human beings but bots that pretend to be humans but in fact are just scripts. That being said bots seem to be becoming more and more popular in the crypto space. If a new and very hyped project launches on the dexes like uniswap or pancakeswap you can be as fast as you want with your try to buy in the first seconds after listing but bots will always be faster which is a shame, but that's just how it is. It is a whale game and a bot game.
2280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: October 15, 2021, 11:01:17 AM
I guess OG thought that they can handle Magnus in second game. Really did not expect them to lose 2:0, this is for me the biggest surprise of the tournament.

Vici getting destroyed on map 1.

I couldn't watch the game as i was at work and i am also totally surprised that OG lost that clearly to Team Spirit i always thought that OG might pull out some miracle group fighting performances again like they did in TI 8 and TI 9 but this time they where just to far away of the top teams in terms of performance and they don't have the same players anymore of course. I expected OG to reach the Grand Final through the lower bracket and to face PSG.LGD there but well that will not happen anymore.

T1 looked very strong in game 1 against Vici, but Vici managed to come back from a 0-1 against EG yesterday, so everything is still possible.
