2261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp Are Down - But Bitcoin is as strong as ever !!! on: March 15, 2019, 09:30:59 PM
when such gaints can run into a problem, what makes you think they can't be shut down ?

LONG LIVE BTC, 100% UPTIME Cheesy

One of the major reasons for their possible shutdown is their continuous Data breach where they share our data with other giant companies to get paid for the same. Have you read their privacy policy? If yes, tell me are they allowed to do so. On other hand, BTC is pseudonymous and consists all those properties to help you undergo all your finances with ease. Albeit, BTC is a different subject and comes under a category which really can't be compared to social networks as they are about making friends and sharing data, but yeah BTC can also be said to be doing data sharing only through electronic medium but in terms of numbers only but everything under the hood (anonymity). IMHO, I believe these social networks are just a way to make money for the bosses who created them, but the one I use the most is telegram, very clean, sober and easy to use as well as crypto and anonymity-friendly. It's easy to create bots to pay and get paid in crypto over telegram - a facility everyone wanted so far.
2262  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Could Sink to $1,850 Despite Bullish Crypto Momentum on: March 15, 2019, 09:20:15 PM
OP, you believe that this ongoing stable pattern would follow that dump that took place after a stable period of $6-7k range? It truly indicates the fact that this article is more or less being compared to old times when BTC fell down below 50% in a few moments. But trust me, not just is the momentum bullish but there are lots and lots of great news and reasons as to why BTC could get back over $6k and maybe $10k any time soon. The long-awaited bull flag seems to have been broken and history is the evidence that whenever these breakouts occurred after such long wait, BTC had always chose to go up rather than the direction you're talking about.
2263  Economy / Speculation / Re: 'Bitcoin will run up to $5,000 by May' on: March 15, 2019, 08:15:16 PM
You'll find too many optimistic news these days like:
https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-price-breakout-scheduled-for-august-says-fundstrats-tom-lee
Where Fundstrat's Tom Lee said that Bitcoins' price will break out in the month of August.

Truth is, we don't really have the measurement tool to weigh the depth of that news based on the facts which were input in it. The job of the media is to always confuse the end customer (us) and make us believe what they want us to believe. But it may become true, following that it had been very long since BTC holding this 3xxx range now.
2264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: My Transaction Still Pending After more than 2 Days now, 0 confirmation on: March 15, 2019, 06:59:57 AM

How?

As what you said above you are expecting to receive your bitcoin to this address 3HPt84Lz3bomzffJAn8zhB9KfJypTiBLZs
then according to your transaction ID from your OP post https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/8ce9751158f886ef7c6948a00a11c89a0b42513b81a9060671401526082f04a4

The transaction is confirmed and it sent to 3HPt84Lz3bomzffJAn8zhB9KfJypTiBLZs to the right address.

And to this address - 13yP7RxgFi1YkdVu7JxWdR6sDz9gZotecQ

And the transaction was this where OP received money at his mentioned address:
https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/8ce9751158f886ef7c6948a00a11c89a0b42513b81a9060671401526082f04a4

The similar address in this tx (13yP7RxgFi1YkdVu7JxWdR6sDz9gZotecQ) and not what OP mentioned, sent almost exact amount of BTC to 3Cq3LvFhCFaLVB6rVzZfQDVGpxfHKn58jd

How did you know that your problem is a copy/paste virus?

Weird  Huh

That's quite surprising for me as well, but maybe OP sent the coins in a hurry and didn't check which address he's sending them to? Maybe that's the cause which made him think that when address gets copied to clipboard and then pasted in the wallet, the wallet might not make OP beware with a warning that others apps can read or change the clipboard.

2266  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Web application providing crypto and stock market information on: March 13, 2019, 06:37:57 AM
I just wanted to update anyone who may be following this thread. I did some design modifications(chart layout, scrollbars, layer borders) that I feel are an improvement. Also, cryptocurrency news is now filtered by search results. I hope this serves useful:)

The web application looks great and too much user-friendly that I've become a fan immediately and bookmarked it. There are certain things which I'm not too aware of:
- I've found everything crypto related at your site, so where do I need to check to see for the "stocks" exactly? Or are they limited to the news part only?
- I'd also ask you to add buttons through which users can give their sentiments about market potential like with that news, the associated coin/stock would grow/decline/remain neutral (I've asked this in a thread where we were talking about building a better portfolio app and what do well expect from it).
- For more knowledge to be shared, allow your audience to actively take part by adding a chat resource and/or allowing them to share their own links to important articles (obviously after you allowing the permission to show up on your site after reviewi that link).
2267  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: What solution should I use for micro payment transaction ? on: March 13, 2019, 05:45:16 AM
I don't think anyone will be buying an item for 1 dollar, and then paying in BTC. The TX fees on their side would be another dollar. Have you tried looking for payment processors that offer a range of cryptocurrencies? I think DOGE, ETH and XRP would be the most popular options for users, as well as regular fiat payments.

I'm seeing most of the transactions taking place with a fee under $0.2, though it maybe 1/5th of that buck but still fees are needed to be paid and at least it cannot be considered too high unless we get those $100 fee per tx days back.

@OP,
You can try this - https://satoshipay.io
But like many here, I'd also recommend that lightning network is your best bet.
There's one simple thing I understood here that I want you to understand as well that if you're looking for such services, you won't get anything to integrate unless you agree to pay them the fees and the permission to hold your coins till a certain amount (or threshold) to save you the fees you don't want to opt for.
2268  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What do you think of Desktop Wallets and introducing myself. :) on: March 13, 2019, 03:45:49 AM
Whoa! A lot of information thrown my way which is not at all a bad thing but just little overwhelming for a person new to Bitcoin use entirely altogether. What I don't understand is what's the difference between buying a Ledger Nano S for a cold storage wallet which I understand it is that you buy it then get a cheap or old computer or some to store your Bitcoins on an Electrum Wallet on an offline no internet connected computer so you can simply withdraw what ever amount you want to spend.

There's a lot of difference there as hardware wallets have least chance of being vulnerable to getting attacked but that cheap old computer could come with an infected virus itself which could steal away all your data (not saying that you use it with/without internet but some sellers also sell their PCs already infected (or injected) with some Trojans which could easily sweep off all the data once it's used. And you also have higher chances of losing your BTC if that old PC crashes if you don't possess proper ways of recovering your data. You need to save your private keys as well to pieces of paper (offline cold storage's best alternative).

Quote
Then you just simply use your Ledger Nano S which you say put only a small amount of the Bitcoin you keep on your offline Computer Electrum Desktop Wallet and use it to make a purchase since like it's been stated it's still vulnerable when you connect it to make the purchase/transfer the funds.

Don't know exactly who misguided you here and why you're specifically focusing on PC only. When you already have a hardware wallet, you can directly use it to send the coins to the desired address through scanning QR code.

Quote
Now my question sorry if this is a silly new Bitcoin user repeatedly asked question but what's the difference between simply using any U.S.B Drive like my WD Passport 2TB Hard Drive has a Password I use and is required unlock it. How is the Ledger Nano S U.S.B. Storage Wallets different from simply putting an Electrum Wallet on my WD Passport Hard Drive I assume there is a very good answer to why you can't just simply do this or I assume nobody would bother buying these wallets and when I mean I don't have enough Bitcoins worth stealing what I mean by that is simply it won't be that big of a deal or loss of money for the amount that I keep stored which is only when I buy Bitcoin and spend it and have extra Bitcoin which at the moment my case right now is I did not even use the Bitcoin after I purchased it so I plan to just save it for when something I want comes along that I want to buy and or the Bitcoin value goes up possibly.

I've found that best answer for you -
https://www.quora.com/What’s-the-difference-between-storing-your-cryptocurrencies-on-a-hardware-wallet-such-as-the-Nano-S-Ledger-vs-a-wallet-stored-on-an-encrypted-USB-thumb-drive-with-a-strong-password

Quote
My Cell Phone uses Android but I don't have a Data plan and I can simply disconnect my Cell Phone from my Wi-Fi Internet Connection from my House and would that make it into a cold walletish?

Going offline simply makes no sense that you can use that device as a cold storage, as who knows whether it's infected already with a malware?!

Oh and I use NordVPN for the use of hiding my Torrent P2P activity from my internet service provider should I be closing my NordVPN when I use my Wallet as anyone who knows anything about VPNs then you would know they are shady as shady gets lol even the best of them I only use it because my brother purchased it for bypassing Netflix Location so he is letting me share his account for free.

VPNs are actually good to save yourselves from having your surfing data shared with your ISP and in the end, your Gov. But well, it really doesn't make any difference here except just not letting them know about all your activity so keeping it on while using your wallet has nothing to do with your privacy issues because your IP can't really be traced down when you transact anything (except if someone personally knows of the activities you're performing on your PC).

If anyone has a good link or youtube video to help me get started on a Electrum Wallet and to make sure I set it up right on my Windows 7 Home Premium 65-Bit (6.1 Build 7601) is what it says my Computers Operating System is.

https://youtu.be/M5T6u0iWUPc
It'll also be great if you choose to go SegWit over Legacy as it'll save you fees almost 1/4th of what you normally pay in Legacy. Although, it'll fetch you bech32 addresses (starting with bc1) but it's not that hard to use, believe me.
2269  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: HELP EMERGENCY: ELECTRUM on: March 13, 2019, 02:42:37 AM
If you only forgot your seed but you can log in. You can see your Seed in wallet menu.
https://coinguides.org/electrum-seed-restoring-wallet-finding-seed/

He said "wallet.dat" and password which means it's nowhere related to Electrum.

@OP,
Try this - https://support.bitpay.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002990903-How-can-I-recover-funds-from-a-Bitcoin-Core-wallet-dat-file-without-having-the-entire-blockchain-downloaded-

https://nolimitcoin.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001597631-Restore-a-Wallet-Backup-Tutorial <-- For reference.

And you should definitely let us know if you really found a way out of these or not to recover your BTC, else we are all wasting our time here.

2272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Religion and politics divide people yet bitcoin unites them on: March 08, 2019, 11:59:19 PM
I don't know which religion or racism you're pointing us towards, but yes, Governments are definitely trying to pull us out of crypto at any cost becah they're watching all of us actually getting united at one point where they're failing from driving us away and where they want us to go. I believe it's for the good of human being that Lord Satoshi has given us all a boon in the form of Bitcoins which has broken all the boundaries and made everyone come at one platform as well as deal with each other without too much hassle about fees and commissions as well as taxes we need to pay for each outbound (out of country) transactions.
2273  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I would like some help on: March 08, 2019, 11:38:00 PM
I already did some satoshis with bot, but my account did not have recaptcha, only now it appeared, it works with Imacro but with it it is necessary that the screen is always open.

as far as I know, freebitcoin have been fighting bots for some time and they do not like getting ripped off ( as strange as it sounds )
the thing is , even if you manage to build a bot, there is no guarantee that you will be allowed to withdraw your spoils
more than sure that you will be blocked and your funds confiscated , since they are pretty good at detecting them
there was a whole network of bots claiming points and then purchasing lottery tickets and cashing out through the lottery , even made them to change the lottery rules
you can read about it in their Gambling section thread

It's obvious that those who're in business, are never gonna let themselves get ripped off by these bots. Some even try to scam people by showing huge amounts in their freebitco.in accounts though it's nothing but just a coded script which helps you show anything you want to show in your balance but you cannot withdraw it ever because the servers have got the information of the actual amounts that you've got in your account.

I created a virtual machine with Azure from microsoft, I left the browser running with Imacros, everything is working, I've been getting every 30k of satoshis always with bots.

How did you bypass reCAPTCHA before? I'm still surprised how you managed to make those 30k satoshis. Anyways, did you really manage to withdraw them out of there? One main reason I never used bots is, they always made me regret over my decision whenever I played using them as I've always lost. As well, it's better to have a complete check of these bots as some have address involved and once you try to withdraw, coins go straight away to the hacker instead of reaching you.

Hello
we are a Blockchain company and we make something like that for you. i have already built for my client.

Excellent, you came just now, and within 2 posts you've become a Blockchain company. Wow!
2274  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is good for me? on: March 08, 2019, 11:27:00 PM
Like mjglqw said, Fiverr is one of the best options that you have currently to showcase your talent there and get paid for the same.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=5.0 - Marketplace
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=93.0 - Digital Goods
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=84.0 - Service Announcements

You can try any of the above and see if you could get some clients here.
Else, I've got some more options as well:
https://openbazaar.org - One of the best crypto marketplaces where you can sell anything for crypto.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=73.0 - Auctions are one of the best options you can have, you can show your work and get what you want (even more than that).
2275  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] AWS 20 limits all region on: March 08, 2019, 11:18:30 PM
Can't DM on here as a newbie...message me on skype for chat

That's amazing and I heard that for the first time that newbies can't send a PM?!  Huh
Anyways, you said all regions. I've got cheated by some sellers before who used to say that it is full region 20 but it used to be 20 - 10 - 20 (means 20 in 3 - 4 regions and 10 in remaining ones), so please clarify that these are not such accounts and have 20 in each of them. At least you can use imgur.com to upload and show us the limits in all the regions. Or are you willing to show them also at Skype only?
2276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Casino Affiliate Marketing Tips on: March 08, 2019, 11:04:39 PM
I was a bit mislead by the title as when I thought OP would be talking about some tips on how to market BTC casinos as an affiliate, it turned out grey when I saw there a list of how can an affiliate become efficient to market these. Please give relevant titles to your threads to let us actually like the content inside. Anyways, as I'm an affiliate marketer myself and belonging to this field since last 10 years, I'd say that those who don't have a website to do affiliate marketing can use free domains and hosting to showcase their talent, and trust me peeps it doesn't really take too much of the efforts as readymade templates help you set everything so quick. Some of the affiliate commission providing sites also give us a dedicated page which we can use to gain customers to their site and earn commissions over it. You can also build your audience through traffic exchanges (splash pages, solo ads, super solo ads, surfing), safelists, blogs, videos, email blasters (free methods) and if you can pay to gather some audience, then Google AdWords is one of the best options to advertise your stuff.

It'd be great if you can engage with your audience, categorize them all in the genre they set fit and then do your marketing to them because if someone needs BTC and you're going to them asking to buy ETH from you won't actually work. You need to understand their needs to become a better affiliate.
2277  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Top 3 advices Regarding Bitcoin Investing on: March 08, 2019, 10:40:16 PM
If you could only give 3 advices to someone who’s new and wants to invest in Bitcoin, what would you tell them?

These peeps are able to give and advice to you over how, where and when to invest Bitcoins? I don't think so because it takes some real personal experience first of all, and then the one who is giving you that advice should have already made a lot of profits or at least be in some profits from the time they invested. We can just try, and I'm saying this because we're still learning.

Still, as I'm experienced but not in profits, I'd like to give advice based on my experience only:

1. Don't fomo buy into any coin and don't sell any based on fud, it'll save you a lot of money from losing and will also save the costs (fees) if you'd have traded continuously.

2. If you're going to invest BTC in a project, check about it deeply because believe it or not, but BTC should be considered as real money and so, you need to be very careful while putting your money into any ICO or even STO.

3. Don't use your full salary (or even your complete capital to get into crypto), use only that amount which you can afford to lose because there are higher risks and chances of losing just as in gambling and forex. Don't fall for any doublers or even HYIPs because they won't return you your money even in the short term and you'll probably lose everything.

I'd suggest you to follow great personalities like Warren Buffett and Bill Gates (I'm not saying that they're crypto geeks, but their quotes can actually help you gain the type of mentality everyone wishes to have to become rich).
2278  Economy / Service Discussion / Issues with Duckdice. on: March 08, 2019, 10:22:15 PM
Hey guys,
Has anyone of you tried playing at Duckdice? I'm having some problems there. I've managed to bring one of my good friends (who is also a very good gambler and wagers a lot at many gambling websites) to Duckdice by referring him under me. Now, after he started wagering too much (he has almost wagered >80 BTC already), Duckdice started playing shady games with me by removing him as my referral and now I'm not able to get any of the wager commissions that he does over there. Did you ever experience this? I've never had problems withdrawing my money from there as it used to be instant always, but why such a shady behavior when it comes to paying genuine commissions to their user who actually brought them a very highly wagering customer?
2279  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to find upcoming event of any coin/token? on: March 08, 2019, 10:13:58 PM
Look like OP info useful. I was bought RVN and sold on small profits but now RVN become double from my sell price. Unfortunately I haven't look on their upcoming events. I realised that during trading also need to find upcoming events if coins. It might give good profits. Just forgot to search. Definitely I will try to search on future.

It's not what you see, it's how you see it in crypto.
These calendars might be helpful, but we all can't deny the fact that it's all upto BTC that if it rises, it lets alts to fly with it or at least stabilize instead of the continuous bloodbath we see there. As well, it is said to "Buy the rumors, sell the facts" and it is one of the most helpful mottos in crypto for anyone who can actually understand after watching the events in these calendars and determining which of them is actually going to happen and which one will prove to be hoax.

@OP,
Thanks a lot for the great effort you put in by piling up a whole list these crypto calendars even I wasn't familiar of. I've bookmarked this thread to be able to see it whenever I want to. As well, can you please categorize each of them based on their trustworthiness and authenticity?
2280  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Breaking Mixing Services on: March 08, 2019, 04:56:18 PM
What kind of attacks did you exactly make? I'm keen to know them and understand all of them in a much better way if you could elaborate it well. Also, how can you consider the mentioned mixer services to be centralized?

You may find it stupid but I wish to ask one more question here, that when you're able to attack these services (don't know exactly the type of attack, but still a query in my mind), weren't you able to fetch transactions done by XMR and Dash users? It'd be a threat to these alts if you or any dev will be able to fetch the real transactions among the mixed ones as well as I believe you already are a fear to all of us who use these services because if this is actually true, what's the meaning for anyone to use a mixer?
