1401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ICO WhitePaper Matter Most? on: June 29, 2020, 10:18:42 PM
Doing good level of research about the project is what it takes to become a successful investor as there will be thousands of projects with probably the best white papers out there, but the fact is, we just get lured by their "too good to be true" kinda schemes and fall for them. Best way is to go to an advocate who can understand the terms much better than us and make us understand whether the project would work or not. If OP thinks that we'd invest in moon and star talks these days, then I believe we should consider ourselves as noobs even after spending a decade in crypto.
1402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is it possible to retrieve my invested BTC from Plustoken? on: June 29, 2020, 09:37:50 PM
I believe they have already moved their customers' funds and when nothing would be left in their wallets, what can you do even if you have your private keys of the address through which you deposited in it (if you ever have the real private key as I doubt that when they were destined to scam everyone, why would they even allow you to see/copy your private key)!

The best you can do is to keep an eye and watch out for the project admins if they ever reveal anything about the BTC and ever decide to give back the BTC to their customers (but I highly doubt that it will happen).
1403  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: Make it just a little more difficult to create a new account. on: June 23, 2020, 09:31:02 PM
Nah, verifying email simply means it's gonna be attached to your identity and hence would kill the privacy you might want to have! Hence in my opinion, its a big no to this suggestion!

Lolz, how can it be "attached to your identity", dude? Are you doing a KYC check here? Be it this forum or the email itself, you can create both for free without even giving your real phone number (go buy a virtual number for verification dude). And I ROFL'd hard when you said that this would kill the privacy we want to have. Wow, so you've got anything better than this to stop those new (but fake) registrations that are just coming here with the sole purpose of making money or scamming? Don't tell me you'd rather ask for a KYC  Grin
1404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tell me your opinion about QuarkChain and its price in the future. on: June 23, 2020, 09:13:50 PM
I have heard about this project and recently traded on it as well. I believe this one's a "horse of the long race". Speaking as a trader, if you can hodl this for long term (around 6 months at least), I assume you will definitely reap great profits from this coin as I expect an easy 5x during the timeline I've given here. It recently came down after rallying a bit higher but I believe that it's preparing for its 3rd leg upwards and you might see dumps later as well till BTC stabilizes, and then this will boost.
1405  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you make a trade or investment decision? on: June 23, 2020, 09:01:35 PM
I trade on price action as I believe that TA doesn't really work to the extent I expect it to. Watching naked charts and imagining the levels (resistance and support I'm talking about) is what I do before entering a trade and price action does work much better than going for TA (in my case). If it's a leverage trade, I try not to go above 10x as I literally wasted some BTC a year ago by not preventing myself from greed which tanked my portfolio down to 0. I'm still learning and I guess I've got the level of control it takes to trade much better while in leveraged position.
1406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Nobody talks about Bitcoin Diamond on: June 23, 2020, 08:46:11 PM
To me, all those free airdropped coins that came out as a Bitcoin clone (forks) are just pure shit and they're not worth to be talked about, which is why nobody talks about them. You might have not seen but I saw that 2018 BCD dump personally and after that, decided that these clones are worth nothing but shit and I won't even risk my BTC on any wallet just to capture its image to collect this free shit. Something that went to BTC0.0235 and then dumped down to the current value of just 7k sats, is it worth investing?
1407  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beginner's needs directives from seniors. on: June 23, 2020, 08:39:20 PM
Don't tell me that newbies are not supported here, dude.
People (including me) have done merit giveaway threads, one of the most easiest ways we provided to newbies only in order for them to get ahead with a new rank and put much better efforts in order to excel in the subject of BTC and crypto in general.

Sometimes, we also get criticized for doing such giveaways because some newbies are alts of other accounts who have been nuked from the forum.

I don't think I'd want to argue any more than this on this topic.  Undecided
1408  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to go with all my BTC profits? on: June 23, 2020, 07:59:17 PM
None of the companies will hide any user's information if a secret agency like CIA or someone else with higher authorities involved - asks for the data - then be it crypto.com or even blockchain.com because the Government has the power to ask for these data in order to know about some of their countrymen trying to cheat them over taxes (believe or not, hiding your money not to pay your taxes is cheating only). If you've made enough profits, just do your rally or ask your CA in order to get your tax amount reduced enormously and he might help you out.
1409  Economy / Economics / Re: Which is better, staking or investing? on: June 23, 2020, 07:35:57 PM
Your word is correct. The stake is risky if I give the coins to a third party or an unknown coins. As for me, I am currently Staking the AWC token at Atomic Wallet. I think this Wallet is well-known and has a good reputation and high confidence and I expect the token to have a good future in addition to that you have the token in your own Wallet and your private key is available to you so I think the risk here is almost non-existent.

Why is the risk non-existent, mate? It still exists.
I know they've got a good reputation out there but what's in the future, we don't know yet. Whatever you're staking is just based on trust because your coins will still be in the wallet and if it gets a server hack or something like that, do you believe you'll see your coins back again? Here I"m asking about the coins that you staked and not the return.
1410  Other / Meta / Re: Why does bitcointalk allows signatures? on: June 23, 2020, 07:18:22 PM
I'm not defending signatures but yeah, who doesn't want to earn a little bit for their contribution towards the community as well as the forum? I mean, nobody is here to do anybody a favor for free (this world ain't no such world anymore) and I guess if you're too much annoyed about seeing the signatures, why not just disable them in your profile? It'll solve your problem at least to some extent and at your level. If good forum members are working for the better of the forum and the community, shouldn't they be rewarded? Then, be it through this signature business or any other means - that can be decided by admins.

One more thing I count as important - the forum will look extremely boring without signatures; not because we won't get paid if it gets removed permanently, but because we will be missing different colors, shades and types of signatures that we see daily. I mean, I'm personally a fan of this signature thing just because I love to see how cool they look when almost everything gets fit into a BBcode and they look hilarious.
1411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: June 23, 2020, 07:10:53 PM
We think that things are going to be just fine and that's when the worst takes place to destroy more. Novak Djokovic seems to be hit hard with his family and will definitely have a great change observed in his game after his recovery because of the damage this virus will cause him inside. This proves that health matters a lot over wealth.

Why not continue with cyber leagues just like we are seeing some SRLs for cricket, soccer and tennis? Why do we need our top players to enter the courts and play during this pandemic? I think we need to change our mentality too that it's time to become mature enough to treat those players as humans too and know that they can too get infected and infect other major players too.
1412  Economy / Economics / Re: Which is better, staking or investing? on: June 23, 2020, 06:31:15 PM
If you are willing to hodl for longer and can "stake" your coins for at least a year to get the decided amount through its staking, and you do all this after understanding the risks clearly that the value of that specific coin could be worth anything tomorrow (or the day when your stake matures and you get your share). Investing has three phases - short term, mid-term and long term but the difference here is that, you have your coins with yourself and need to trade yourself to gain anything on it.
1413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PAYPAL RUMOR on: June 23, 2020, 06:18:40 PM
PayPal should never, ever integrate crypto (if this is ever gonna happen) because then, centralization at mass level will take place which means that the limited control that we have, of our coins, will be stolen and we won't be able to do anything for that. It's better if PayPal sticks to its old mentality about cryptocurrencies and BTC.
1414  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade isn’t for Me guys. on: June 23, 2020, 05:36:20 PM
The truth is that, for a trader to win, another trader has to lose.
>95% traders either quit or continue losing their money to just 3-5% of the world's most successful traders and that's how it works. For us to become a successful entity in this field only takes a lot of years, patience, knowledge and control. Trading is not an easy task, but for you to accomplish it, you need not to fomo in but play smart. You see? You lose more in the fee itself that you pay per your buy that you make for the coins you exchange your BTC. It's better to put limit orders and wait for the price to come to your desired level, that's how you can make good money. Better not to trade when the trade is not in our area. Take it as Ferrari and BMW - if you can afford BMW but are willing to drive Ferrari and somehow get a chance to drive it but you don't know how to do that (I mean, your driving skills are just average but that average is good for driving BMW) then I guess you should first learn the skills about driving a Ferrari and then go for it.
1415  Economy / Economics / Re: The Covid19 Curve is Flattening on: June 23, 2020, 05:22:07 PM
In India, Glenmark came with its drug named FabiFlu (Favipiravir tablets of 200 mg each) that got approved yesterday itself to treat mild to moderate level CoVID-19 patients. I believe that if this works out, we'll definitely see a much better recovery rate against the number of newly found patients. The only fear that strikes my mind is that, if a person accidentally gets infected again after this has been thrown out of its roots, how will he/she be identified as when doctors will think that it has ended, why will they continue checking people? The global economy is yet to witness one of the worst times with people already losing their senses like getting their brain damaged through CoVID-19, loss of smell and taste, etc. because this will surely affect the way we used to work, and how we will be working now.
1416  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: For Old and New forum members on: June 23, 2020, 05:00:44 PM
I think newbies should start looking for stickies (and hey admins, please update your stickies as well, because old information has become outdated and many new things as well as rules have been implemented, so please put them all collectively and let the newbies know about those very small, but basic things like plagiarism bans, bans for giveaway participants just like we suffered, bans for unsolicited PMs and threats, etc.)
1417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Which of those are good and safe wallets? Coinomi-Exodus on: June 23, 2020, 04:42:53 PM
My question to those, who use Exodus. You cannot set transaction fee. It is adjusted by the wallet itself. Does anybody know the reference of the trasaction fees?

https://support.exodus.io/article/69-how-does-exodus-calculate-fees
They said that they work on dynamic pricing models and that they won't be focusing on customizable transaction fees any time soon with their wallet. I believe you can use BitPay or Mycelium if you want to set your own custom transaction fees (I think Mycelium allows Eth as well and BitPay has 3 alts - Eth, BTC Cash and XRP).
1418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Watch out for QLC. on: June 23, 2020, 04:31:47 PM
I have been watching this coin closely and it has not risen up yet, but broke some major support levels and entered bullish trend. Makes me feel like this should go at least towards 400 sats before it drops back again, and if it doesn't, then 630 sats should be the next target this beast may move towards. Pay close attention, it is going up slowly and chances are, we could see a pump any time soon. Though, this is not a "buy" advice as I'll just say - do it at your discretion.
1419  Other / Meta / Re: sMerit faucet, maybe? on: June 23, 2020, 02:47:53 PM
I believe the intention behind this is good and truly, we can't deny that there are around 3 million users on this forum and we just can't put the complete burden on merit sources alone as they can't/won't be able to match everyone's ideology here (I'm not questioning their decisions on whom / who not to be given merits) but the fact is, my thinking and my way of giving merits to users is different considering my own rules that I've set for myself. The same way, we just can't match each other at any point and we can't be same because their way of thinking will definitely be different than mine.
1420  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins can hit either $8k or bounce back to $10k - volatile times are back? on: June 23, 2020, 02:33:56 PM
To what I've seen, experienced and believe - Bitcoin does it like this always - "The near we expect, the far it goes." It's been following this theory since the last few months since when it has been playing see-saw with some key levels - breaking them up, coming down under again, then repeat. This is why I saw and I expect that while $10k seems nearer to be broken, BTC could rather go for a downshot and kill our expectations first before making a major correction. That's how it liquidated around $150 millions just when we saw a $500 increase in price yesterday.
