2261  Other / Archival / Re: Are you ready to see Bitcoin at $10 000? on: June 22, 2022, 11:27:48 PM
I've prepared myself to experience any level of market decline. For now the market have been growing within specific limits. The price have been in hard fluctuation and after such fluctuation there is more of decline than progress in the market. This indicates that the price will crash further.

This major drop can happen as a long term process. However this year we'll experience it, it it is to happen. The falling year we can expect regular growth considering the halving that is being scheduled for the year 2024
Same here, been saying that we are in a bear market already since January so we should expect the worst. Maybe there will be some that don't want to accept if we go this low, but we should prepare ourselves for the worst as this is too early to see the price decline -70% from our all time high last November last year. So there is a possibility that we will see the price going low that $17k and it's possible that a further crash to $10k.
2262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: June 22, 2022, 10:48:59 PM
Though there are no official odds for this fight yet I think Magsayo is the underdog for the reason that he is not tested yet in this kind of situation. Vargas has successfully defended his title in the Junior Featherweight so this might be the reason bookies will put the latter as the favorite because of experience.
It's weird the bookies doesn't have listed this match, probably this is small fight for them and they didn't include it? Many upcoming events like trilogy GGG vs Canelo have been listed on all bookies while the fight will happen 3 months more, while this one around 2 weeks again.
I think maybe they will wait for a few more days to list the bets for this fight, it would be very strange if it didn't list the current fight, especially the one who will fight is not a boxer who can be underestimated.
Maybe the bookies right now still don't see the huge hype for this fight and I still feel that for the last week or at least a few days before the start of the fight this will be listed.
As per my experience with this non profile fights, usually a day before the fight itself. As compare to GGG or Canelo who have been listed already.

Nevertheless, I don't think that sport bookies are going to missed this one. This is a huge fight for Mexican and Filipino fans and there are a lot of online bettors from those countries. Come back maybe July 8 and for sure this is going to be listed.
2263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Rematch - JOSHUA vs USYK II (updated thread) on: June 22, 2022, 09:37:22 PM
Will it be possible for Garcia to make a massive impact on Joshua at this age and stage of his career because Joshua is 32 years old now. I think it is too late to teach Joshua a new style because the learning process is different when you are a younger boxer. I am sure Joshua is set in his ways and it will be difficult for him to change now.

As for Uysk, he is 35 years old now but recent media clips show him in fantastic shape while he was training. No matter which style Joshua adopts he will be unable to beat Usyk, that is what I have concluded.

We've seen that a puncher will have a slim chance against a technical boxer, like what we've seen recently in Haney vs Kambosos. Maybe we will see the same outcome, Joshua feeling frustrated because he can't get his shots because Usyk is using his feet and his technical skills. And yes, we don't know how Robert Garcia has formulate a plan and then put it into action. Maybe they will go like for Joshua to be very aggressive in the beginning and make Usyk very uncomfortable with pressure and maybe caught Usyk with a big shot.
And it is because of this Usyk is the favorite by far, when Joshua lost against Ruiz many people thought he had room for improvement as he was too heavy on the first fight and lost stamina incredibly quickly, then Ruiz made things even easier for Joshua by getting into the ring way heavier than the previous fight which denied his biggest advantage, which was his speed of hands, but against Usyk there is not much Joshua can do, as he cannot outbox him and if he decides to bet everything on his size and punching power then Usyk will dance around him during all the fight.
Yeah, I think in the Ruiz rematch, it was Andy's doing that really case him the fight. He admitted partying and didn't focus on the fight itself as he was on top of the world right now with that huge upset and of course the money.

It might be the case in this fight. if Usyk will not train hard and underestimate AJ, and then Joshua fully focus to get his rematch. It might end up in Joshua avenging his lost and maybe winning by knock out.
2264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 22, 2022, 09:17:22 PM
Rumors of Bradley Beal declining his $36.4 million Wizard's contract option. Money wise he should take the money but if he wants a real shot at the championships then he can reject it and look for better teams. But maybe another decent team will offer him a good amount of money for a longer.
Weird, I can't recall what interview it is, he didn't directly say that he is to sign with Wizards, but he talks all about the money he is getting. So maybe he is looking for more.

I kind of feel that Miami Heat becomes aggressive this free agency. They need another reliable player to partner with Butler. This is super necessary while Butler is still playing at his peak. It made me curious if the Miami Heat is willing to let go on Tyler Herro is better offer is in the table.
I don't think they are going to give up Herro that easy, he is still vital to the team. It's just that he is injured in their series against the Celtics. Perhaps Oladipo or even Duncan Robinson will be a good trade bait though.
2265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ryan Garcia vs Javier Fortuna - July 19 on: June 21, 2022, 07:36:22 PM

That was an arranged fight, we can really expect a mismatch for Tagoe and Garcia..

How do you know it was an arranged fight? I mean tagoe was like 32-0 and who's boxer losses his mind to sell his precious career record for a lose?
That was clearly a mismatch, it wasn't arranged, it was cherry picked. People were deceived by Tagoe's record as if he's worthy to beat as an opponent for Garcia. That guy Tagoe might have fought a bunch of mediocre boxers.
Obviously, he has no chance on winning fighting toe to toe against a faster and younger Garcia.

Maybe he finds arranged and cherry-picked synonymous with each other, but each word has its own distinctive meaning as the correct term for that was Oscar cherry-picked Tagoe. We can remember that it was an interim fight for Ryan Garcia to get him back on track after his mental issues and inactivity after he fought Campbell.

Oscar thought that Tagoe can be a big challenge to the kid so that Garcia will be ready to fight Kambosos Jr. but Tagoe was very disappointing to see running in the ring.
I think Oscar knows that Garcia will win in the fight, and maybe by a knock out. However, we may say that it backfired on them as Tagoe didn't fight as expected and was just on defense the whole pick. So it was a cherry pick but it look bad on Garcia as he has been criticized in the media. And now another fight with a fighter that is not on his level, if he won by decision again and was not impressive, for sure Oscar will not going to match him with the current bred of champion.
2266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 21, 2022, 07:09:44 PM
Warriors didn't have one of their most impressive seasons actually. I saw some other teams being more promising than them to achieve the championship. But they still managed to achieve it at the end of the final series. I found Celtics more impressive than them before the final series actually as I really liked their defense especially. Warriors still benefited from their high experience in the recent years and managed to keep Celtics away from the championship one more season. It's been 15 years for Celtics now.
It's because Celtics adjusted on the second half of the regular season, and then they give up Kemba Walker early. Although he has a good season, but when he gets injured and return back, he wasn't the same. So it was a good move for them and then developed into a championship team. Although Tatum was a big let down on the series against the Warriors. Hopefully he gain that needed experience and maybe next year they will still go to the finals.
2267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA Finals 2022 - Warriors vs Celtics. on: June 21, 2022, 06:44:46 PM
LeBron James is investing in himself to make his own needs so that he can still play exceptional when he is on the court, he can't be playing that well at his age if he's not paying attention to his health. LBJ's age falls in the same bracket as Carmelo Anthony and Howard but LBJ is literally different. Right now, he's more of setting up the table just like CP3 did in Phoenix.
That's right. AFAIK, he's budgeting himself with a whopping $1M for his personal training just to get in shape despite his age not getting younger.

Curry and LeBron now holds the same number of rings, now, I'm interested to see who will be the 1st one to have his 5th ring.
This actually became a meme on the web that Curry is more of the goat rather than Lebron but I think they're worthy of it being called like that.

A staggering $1.5 Million expenditure to be exact annually, and that includes the proper training equipment with its latest technology, personal trainer to keep him versatile especially now that his age is growing day by day and chef to make his meals a healthy one that would surely needed in his body.

Yes, I also saw that meme circulating in the internet recently to make some argument about who's the goat. But for me, Michael Jordan, LeBron James and Stephen Curry is already a goat in their respective generations and there's no need to argue about that as they aren't born in the same year or atleast born with a gap of 3-5 years.
Yeah, they are in a different era, but Lebron and Curry have met in the finals an we know the outcome. And for me, they are in the same league alreay, Curry having his 4th ring and then established their names as dynasty. Jordan though is still the GOAt and no one can touch that, not even Lebron James. He has to win more than Jordan though, just to have some thoughts on others as to who is the greatest and this discussion could go on for years.
2268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Be careful buying alts right now on: June 21, 2022, 06:09:32 PM
It's too early for the bear market to be over, I am saying this because many think we have hit the bottom when ethereum made it to 900$, its not over and you shouldn't be buying coins with all you have, this is a fake out recovery.
So what do you exactly mean? don't buy at this price and wait for another lows to happen this year? In any case, this is still a good buying opportunity for everyone. As for the fake out recovery, it could be, bear market lasts for at least 2 year. But again, you don't have to wait for the floor price. Just buy solid projects and coins, not shitcoin and memes. Those can jump in a bear market but it's going to be an obvious pump and dump.
2269  Economy / Speculation / Re: Was $17.5K the low? on: June 21, 2022, 05:40:01 PM
I’d like to think we’ve seen the low. There was no clear spike in volume with a capitulation moment at the low though. Maybe that’s a result of this being an orchestrated attempt to liquidate leveraged players, but if history is any guide I think we still have lower to go before the next leg up. That doesn’t mean this isn’t a good time to buy, but buy slowly with a plan and avoid leverage.
Well then for others they have to wait for the opportunity to come again, because as this point, we've bounce again above the $20k support. So maybe for this year, we have seen the lows. Nevertheless, I also think that next year, we will still have to go lower and then leg up on 2024. So it remains to be seen and congrats to those who are still holding and then buy more when we have $17.5 a couple of days ago. That was the perfect opportunity for this year.
2270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: June 20, 2022, 12:03:06 PM
Looking back at OP's post, the odds for the title, seems kinda interesting. Of course it is very understandable that team with the best odds not getting the title or team with a low odds getting the title can happen. As far as I remember, my first post in this thread was about the odds for Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers. I thought they were really not reflecting the real situation. I can see the Kevin Durant effect but it was very unlikely to happen. And of course, the odds for Warriors. If someone bet on them really big and win, that is quite a big success.

GSW is not that strong when they entered the Playoffs but in those games, Thompson, Wiggins, and Looney found their rhythms and went out for some great play to beat every opponent in the series and finally win the NBA championship. Nevertheless, they have the veteran experience and they know exactly how to handle such pressures that's why they easily won against their opponents. Maybe we will see them again if they gonna show such kind of play early this upcoming season and hope no one will gonna hurt before the NBA playoffs.

Add Poole to that list as well, he also had a good playoff run and had average 17 ppg.

Looney had his best game against the Mavericks, because they chooses to play small. While Thompson, game 6 Klay performance against the Memphis on a close out game. So everyone contribute in the GSW run in leading to the finals and then they become the favorite although it seems that in the beginning, we might see an upset. But 3 straight win and then won the trophy for the 4th time.

And for next season they became more better team because there role players are all back coming from injury. Imagine having Wiseman,Kuminga and Moody to their team most provably we can see a more improve Warriors line up next season. Lets do hope that they can keep Wiggins and Poole because these young guys will be the future of GSW especially if they can improve more their gameplays.
I want to see Wiseman, a lot has been expecting on him, so let's see how he will does if he gets the chance to play next season. He and Kuminga could be the next one to carry the torch for the Warriors although they are built very different from their core of Curry, Thompson and Green. We've seen Moody as well, very good in penetrating the line and this kid has good potential as well.

Medvedev will face hurkacz in halle ATP final to be honest i did not expect medvedev to get to the final in a grass court and without losing a single set which is impressive but he faced less tough opponents than hurkacz and to be honest the odds are tempting a 3 odd for hurkacz to win i think its a good chance to make some money.

I must admit that when I read your comment yesterday, I thought that you probably like casino games Wink I was very convinced that Medvedev would be able to handle Hurkacz. However, it turned out exactly what you predicted! Congratulations on a good bet and a nice win if you finally bet on Hurkacz!
Yeah, haven't followed this tournament but I read that Medvedev did confront his coach Gilles Cervara and yelled on him, prompting the later to storm out of the stadium.

But not taking anything from Hurkacz, sending message about the incoming Wimbledon that he will be one of those players that we will have to look at.
2272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 17, 2022, 11:50:21 PM
I think Curry can break the number of championships Jordan has won.

If remains healthy, he can do that for sure. Curry is only 34 years old, there are plenty of seasons to be played and he just needs to win 3 straight seasons so he can break the record of MJ, and of course, win the finals MVP as well so it would solidify his legacy.

Looking at him, he's not an injury prone type of person as he's more shooting outside safely and when he drives the ball near the paint, he also make it sure to be safe and that's good for him as he have more years ahead of him in this league. He is sure the greatest 3PT shooter, so he need to play it safe every game as the team badly need him too. 3 more championship ring and he can get ahead on Jordan's record and about the Finals MVP, this is his 1st award so he still have a long way ahead.
Perhaps the 6 ring will be enough for Curry to accomplished in his career. He has 4 already, Jordan 6 so he needs 2 more. If he keeps being healthy then maybe he can tie the record and leave Kobe and Lebron. But as far as the GOAT in 3PT he has sealed in already, I think his record will stand the test of time. Regarding his body, he has improved a lot, he is so muscular now that he can absorb the force specially when he will go for a layup.
2273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT’s Make It Possible For Gamers to Have Digital Property Rights on: June 17, 2022, 10:24:43 PM
NFTs and other Blockchain technologies are still in the early stages of their market lifespan, while physical video game media is on the way out. With these two trends coinciding, it shouldn’t be long now before we see NFTs changing how software is distributed and owned in the video game market forever. Will NFTs solve the problems of digital ownership in the video game market? Or are they simply a passing fad? It won’t be long now before we find out.
I'm not sure what you meant by how the software is being owned by the distributor because they are the real owners. But we all know that they are a lot of pirated games, so maybe that's one way to somewhat prevent it. As for if NFT are fad? Well history tells us this, ICO-IEO-Defi and then others. What I'm trying to drive at is that crypto is based on that. It's evolving new hype is created and then the old one just died down. So this might be the case in the future if we will have some craze in the next 2 years and NFT might be forgotten.
2274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA Finals 2022 - Warriors vs Celtics. on: June 17, 2022, 09:59:21 PM
And there it is, steph and his first nba finals mvp.  4th in what like 8 years for golden state.  This one verifies dynasty status.  Made some decent money laying on the Warriors.  Outside of the Memphis games I think they cleaned up against the spread.
They prove the 14% chance of winning wrong, Warriors is unstoppable same thing with Curry.
In this conference, Curry really carry the whole team into the finals and in the last 4 games, Curry proves to be a deserving player to get the MVP award, it’s good to see them being a Champion again. I like the loyalty of Curry in Warriors, we can still expect more greatness from them. Congrats also to those who placed their bet with Warriors, you’re also a winner, cheers! Smiley
Well he noted the organizations in his MVP speech or after they won the game interview. I think he will be loyal to the team until he retires for good. Yes, he has taken a back seat with Durant winning back to back MVP and title. But this time, it was all Curry. Maybe Durant now is salty after leaving them and joining forces with Harden (who left) and then Kyrie who is a big head ache for the Nets organization. But in any case, as others have said, well deserved MVP for him and the ring for the 4th time and being crowned as the latest team to be a dynasty.
2275  Economy / Speculation / Re: WHAT EVENT DO YOU THINK WILL USHER BTC INTO THE NEXT BULLRUN? on: June 17, 2022, 09:17:09 PM
There are many prediction models that predict the price of bitcoin. One of the famous models is the Plan B stock-to-flow model. It is predicted that BTC would reach $100k before the end of the year.

Here is what I want to know the view of the community about.

1. Do you think such prediction models are realistic?

2. What major event do you think will usher BTC and the entire industry into the next bullrun?

3. Do you think Microstragy purchasing large units of btc will influence the price?

Some are of the opinion that sovereign funds and institutions will buy at discount. Well, what do you think?
Only one, bitcoin halving (as what others have pointed out).

True, maybe Saylor announcing that he will purchase large units of bitcoin might bring more investors. But it will not be enough as compare to the halving every 4 years as this is where the cycle starts for the next bull run. It might not be a quick effect and it might take months after the activity. But once it took off, it's really hard to stop the bulls and maybe that $100k that we all wanted to see will be in fruition come 2024-2025.
2276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: June 17, 2022, 08:58:07 PM
Aside from Bivol being huge, he's more comfortable at his own division while Canelo was indeed struggling at that weight class. About their power, I'd say they're somehow equal and fair. In the past, he's looking to move at cruiserweight, right? And that didn't materialized as he definitely know that he is just a somebody at that division.

Canelo Alvarez already beaten a boxer the same as Dmitry Bivol weight class that's why I think he is not struggling at Cruiserweight class. It's just that Dmitry Bivol play the right tactics that beat Canelo. Only few believes that Bivol will win that fight but he did still win because of being patient and calm. He destroys Canelo's gameplay by make the latter pissed off and that destroys his focus.

GGG knows how to handle Canelo and I'm sure he also watched how Canelo got beaten badly by Bivol. He will combined those tactics to stop Canelo turning into a focus beast like what Bivol did.

I'm sure GGG still has lots of left in the tank but just having difficulty now to performed it 100%.
You mean LHW? 175 lbs? And that is Kovalev, Canelo face him when Kovalev was no longer in his prime. But Canelo admitted that it was a very hard fight for him and that is also the reason he moved down to 168 lbs and didn't defend the belt at 175 lbs. That is already one sign that LHW is not for him, so we don't know why they decided to face Bivol, a young and pure 175 lbs and a champion at that division. And maybe that is the last time that we will see him LHW. the perfect division for him is the SMW.
2277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season - Finals on: June 17, 2022, 08:35:31 PM
Boston was the favourite in the finals, but they played so badly in the games they lost that the Warriors went on to win another championship. Boston team is young and has little experience, they may make it to the finals again in the coming years, but we can say that this was the last dance of the Warriors. If Tatum hadn't been so bad, maybe we'd have seen the Boston championship. I wonder what they will do next year. They showed that they were not mentally ready.

Yep, lack of experience is the main reason why the Celtics lost the final series. Honestly, I have mixed feelings about Tatum's performance. On the one hand, he averaged over 21 points per game throughout this series, and on the other hand, he hasn't had impressive performances and hasn't looked like a team leader. In any case, congratulations to the Warriors for winning the championship and another ring. They clearly deserved it, especially Curry and Wiggins.
Right, we have been discussing this, the Warriors has the DNA of a champion and has been in this situations with Curry, Thompson and Green. And now they have the new guys, but still the outcome is still the same. I would say Tatum has a good performance in the finals, but it's not his breakout, his against Durant in the first round and then against Giannis might be his best in this series. But for sure, having lost this year, they will be back next season wanting more and to win that NBA trophy.
2278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Doge coin in trouble? on: June 16, 2022, 11:28:24 PM
First, how would they say that Doge is a good investment on the first place? And yes, I don't think they will have a case against Elon, probably Musk will just laugh it off. It's not that Elon is the owner of have total control of Doge. Sure maybe he did some influencing on the side, but we all know that Elon is sometimes a troll and I would put everything with a grain of salt to everything he says against or for crypto like Doge. Sorry for those who lost their many believing what Elon is saying in his twitter or any other social media accounts.
2279  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best time for me to buy on: June 16, 2022, 10:44:04 PM
One have to be watchful as we buy more bitcoin,  the way the market is going down it seem the  market will still go down dip. It is never still bad to buy bitcoin at its current price if you still believe in bitcoin and can have patience with bitcoin for the price to comes up . Let the emotion decide if it is okay to buy because of volatility.

Today the price goes up more than 5%, and hopefully there is no negative sentiment that makes the price will drop, I'm worried that if the price drops below $ 20k it will continue red and difficult to rise again, if 2 or 3 more days the price can reach $ 25k then I am optimistic that the price of Bitcoin will continue to rise and return to $ 40 no later than July.
It didn't last that long though, the price goes down again in the levels of $20k, (which others say might be the bottom).

Obviously, the support is around $20k, I haven't seen it broken yet, but if it did, maybe there is another thread that says $13k is possible. But we shall see, in this bear market, it's really hard to tell the trend line, and support/resistance maybe in not applicable.
2280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season - Finals on: June 16, 2022, 09:49:14 PM
Size difference. That's correct, they have the edge on that, and using Horford more in post-up situations may be one of their key factors to win.
Also, I'd like to see more alley-oop for Robert Williams as we can see how high he can go and no one can definitely reach it. That's a sure deuce for them given a good pick and roll will happen.
I am excited once again, just a few more hours and we will be watching the possible ending of this season or 1 more game in San Francisco.

Look at Horford's stats, he impressed everyone by scoring 26 points in the first game, but then he only scored a combined 30 points over the next 4 games. I have no doubt he can still dominate the paint and be helpful to the team, but the Celtics obviously shouldn't rely on him in the deciding game. As for Robert Williams, his status is questionable, and he might miss the game because of left knee soreness.

Yeah, and maybe as other said in social media, Horford got lucky in game 1 and steal that game for the Warriors. Now they are on the other side as they have to win this game. Robert Williams can take advantage and used his athleticism, but if he is not 100% healthy, then he has his limits. Brown and Smart need to produce big numbers just like in game 3. So we are all excited as we will see if the series is going to be stretch on another game 7 decided or the Warriors winning the Finals and end a great season.

I have a dream that the Celtics won game 6 by dominating the Warriors beating them by 30+ points. Maybe I'm just too excited to see a game 7 but they said dreams are the opposite of the reality, hahaha.. so I don't know, I will just enjoy the game and see if Celtics could really  bounce back.
They could win in double digits no doubt, but dominating the Warriors by 30+ points? Anyhow, we are all excited to see if there will be a new champion this year or will it go to game 7 at Chase Center.

And we all know that Tatum, Brown and Smart played very well in their home court and that's why bookies put them in the favorite position, 1.5x-1.6x is the current odd swing.

So we will see if your dreams can become reality (Celtics winning),  Grin
