1281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why people promote gambling sites . on: March 21, 2023, 04:05:44 PM
It's pretty obvious, it's business from this guys. So if there will be one way to promote their business, then it's should be in way they will advertisement it in whichever they can, like in social medias. And then it's up to us whether we are going to be sway and test it and gamble our money, or don't gamble and not be influence by the ads even if someone famous is promoting it. And again, gambling is like part of human history, it's in our culture way back and just very difficult to remove, in my opinion. There are governments though that is anti-gambling, but still though, their efforts is not enough as again, gambling is innate to all of us.
1282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: March 21, 2023, 03:43:31 PM

I just watched 2 videos stating the reasons why Davis can beat Garcia and vice versa. Will just share it here.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ruzT-Cp-9PY - Why Davis will beat Garcia
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17j5CEMSq5A - Why Garcia will beat Davis

I mean before I watched the video, like what others are thinking here, I'm also leaning to the fact that Davis will win on this one because of how good he is in the ring. Add also the fact that he's been with Mayweather for a decade so they are kind of the same. Now that I watched both, I find myself on a state where I'm thinking again who will win on this one.

It's hard to pick especially both of them are rising stars. Many are waiting for this match to happen. Since we will not see Beterbiev vs. Bivol this year (probably), this will be a candidate for the fight of the year. So excited as well for this fight.
Both videos have a good analysis of how both fighters measure up to their past opponents and their advantages in their previous wins but I always believe in what Mike Tyson says about plans and advantages in actual fights, and that is
Quote
You have a plan until you get hit in the face.
everybody boxer has a plan on how to beat his opponent, but everything changes when you get hit in the face.
What I'm sure of is both fighters will bait each other to land his best punch so he can give his best shot, it is about landing the best shot I don't think anyone of them is training to last the 12 rounds, they are training to get their best shot at the right spot.

I believe on what Mike Tyson said, as he was stating such fact based on his experience.
True, every camp has their planned strategies but once inside the ring, most of those plans also go outside the ring.
As for this fight, the bookies are looking at Davis winning by KO/TKO over Garcia.
This will be a good challenge for both boxers, as they want to get ahead of their boxing careers.
Both have still long years to be in this sports given their age right now, so we may possibly see an explosive fight here, hoping that both won't follow the techniques of Mayweather.
Yeah, it's better to hear from boxers who have been there, done that, like Mike Tyson.

For sure he has talk to this young boxers in the last couple of years, and maybe watching their fights. So he has a good gauge as how and who is going to win. But the most important thing is that they will give the fans a good fight, a war so that they can live with the hype. Still very dangerous fight for Tank, although he is the favorite but Ryan has also the speed and power to lay him on the floor if he get caught.
1283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: March 18, 2023, 12:33:19 AM

Tank Davis also mentioned in interviews that Ryan has earn his place already and he deserved to face him. (Whatever he means by that, it's open for interpreration), maybe moving forward he is going to be selective of his opponents or whoever he wants to face for the money.

Maybe he thinks he is the king and Ryan Garcia is just the top challenger for him. However, that's still underestimating his opponent because despite both being champs, Davis sees himself on a higher level. I hope Ryan Garcia will prove Davis wrong and show him that his current thoughts are incorrect.
There are top challengers are well, we obviously have the champion in Devin Haney. But it seems that this two are really destined to fight each other, for the respect and obviously for the money itself.

So it's time for ticket scalpers again, Lol, for sure there are fans willing to spend that huge money to pay underground even if the price could be x2 as what @bbc.reporter pointed out.

Absolutely mate tank Davis believe himself that he is the king of his division. And without a doubt we can say that it because what we saw his previous matches he proves to us that he is tank Davis the real champion and no one can beat him up. But in this juncture Ryan Garcia bring himself to the ring and want to say that he can defeat Tank Davis even if not in a knockout but at least he will win. And the best question for this is can Tank Davis will win or Ryan Garcia will overtake The tank .
Probably it's how we define champion now, as I have said, Haney is the champion but his style is boring for fight fans.

On the other hand, we have hard hitter like Davis, who fought as high as 140 lbs and beat the champion in Barrios although others says that it's a strategy to fight the weak champion. And same with Ryan, fighter other names at 135 lbs, but nevertheless he has no belt but he is a crowd drawer because is their "social media" champion.

So Haney as champion but he is not a crowd pleaser as compare to Tank and Ryan Garcia more exciting as they fight and go after a knockout.
1284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs John Ryder - May 6th in Mexico on: March 17, 2023, 10:49:35 AM
The moment this was announced, lots of boxing critics on social media said that it was a clear cherry-picking for Canelo.

What do you think guys? Who should be Canelo fighting instead of John Ryder?

I think the rematch with Bivol does have prerequisites and it's something that can be materialized that easily. Moving forward though, this was all set and Canelo should be considered as HEAVY favorite, not just a simple favorite.
Yes, a rematch with Bivol should be next for Canelo, and everyone was caught off guard with Ryder although his name keeps popping up when you ask Hearn about what's next for Canelo.

It was cherry pick because Canelo is coming off from his hand injury. But it's going to be pity to see Ryder maybe getting knockout by Canelo in the late rounds. But the real winners here will be his fans as this will be in his country, Mexico.
1285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 17, 2023, 10:21:35 AM
Or we should say that they are not good at home. They may not be a dominant team in the regular season, but they are a very dangerous team in the playoffs. As long as they maintain that top 6 position, they will surely be in the playoffs, and that's where they can play their best.

What I saw in the Warriors' game against the Clippers was a lack of rebounding. Well, they play small ball, so that's the outcome, but they shot well, I guess, especially Curry.

I don't think the Golden State Warriors will have a great success in the playoff games this year. It looks like Curry is trying to do something on this team all by himself. If his performance is not high that day, he cannot achieve success, and when he cannot play, the team cannot win a match. When the playoff time comes, we cannot expect him to be successful in every match, there will definitely be days when he plays badly

That's just one game, dude, where he really scored a lot, but you know it's always Curry who is the leader of this team. I wouldn't focus too much on the regular season because the Warriors are going to be a different team in the playoffs. Remember, they are missing their second-best player, which is Wiggins. He can play great defense that will make this team better defensively, so once he comes back, for sure before the playoffs or play-in, they'll be 100% ready.
Yep, just one game for the Warriors, and as we can see in their lineup, no Wiggins still, so they continue to struggle unlike during their championship run last year there are a lot of good supporting players who fulfill their role, but not this year. So Curry need to step up, scores 50 and yet it's not enough.

They are in the playoffs, just have to see where they are going to land and which opponents they are going to face.

But you can't really take them off in the equation as they are the defending champions and they have been in this situation many times.

1287  Economy / Speculation / Re: Asia Pushes Bitcoin Past $25K on: March 17, 2023, 09:32:58 AM
Perhaps Asian knows a thing or two on where to hedge their wealth because of the ongoing crisis around the world. And it just make sense though, even if you are not from Asia, crypto is one of the best assets that we can invest right now.

We will see how long they are going to push it, right now we just past $26k. But the thing right now is that Asia market might be close or stop trading since it's nigh time now. And it's time for the other side to sell bringing the price down, or continue to do so to be able to get into $27k'ish range.
1288  Economy / Speculation / Re: 26k mark finally breached on: March 17, 2023, 08:51:19 AM
Boom!, the Bulls have come in control of the market, Bitcoin is once again able to regain the $26k price level previous touched today which is totally good for the entire market to continue its run towards the upper side to meet our long expected target of $30k, hoping that if we got there @$30k and got a pull back, the $25k level has shown to be a significant strong resistance so many times in the past and would now act as a strong support level for Bitcoin if we eventually got a pull back in the zone.
Yeah, I really like what we are seeing, and finally we overcome $25k and it seems we are going to maintain it. Now we are above $26k and so that will be the next resistance.

And we all know that if we can break that price this March, $28k will be next and it's going to be huge for us if that will be broken too.

In any case, bull takes control of the market and maybe it has to do with all the banks failing in the US and their government injecting those stimulus and so investors are hedging their wealth again to bitcoin.
1289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High gas fee for sending token is still a problem on: March 16, 2023, 11:59:04 AM
I have more interest in altcoins than bitcoin because they give more ROI, but we are not in a bull market yet and Ethereum gas fee keeps surging since yesterday, it is fair if you are sending ETH from a wallet to another but the real deal is when you plan to send tokens from a wallet to another, the gas is high and this makes me wonder what will happen in a bull market, because most of my tokens are on Erc-20 chain, what is a good way to be prepared for this?
Not just ETH, BTC as well right now have high gas fees, perhaps it was due to the current rise of the price as everyone wanted to move or sell their bitcoins. So in any case, you need to check everything first before you do your transactions.

And it's just part of the bull run I guess, and there are no preparations for the high fees, it's either you withdraw it with just the normal price and wait a little further or pay high fees for much quicker transactions.
1290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: March 16, 2023, 11:31:07 AM
...Anyone though was surprised to see Leonard Ellerbe on the background? The guy with that white beard, he is Floyd's CEO and we all know that Davis didn't renew his contract with Floyd. But according to the news, he will be training at Floyd's gym in Las Vegas, so I guess everything is really cool between the two camps despite Davis no longer under Floyd. And I think it is a advantage for Tank, at least he has someone more experience behind him. And who knows, Floyd might drop to his own gym and still mentor Tank because this is the biggest fight of his career, both of them including Ryan. Goosen's training gym is in LA, so most likely Ryan will train there as he is from California.

So looking at boxing's top librarian Boxrec, Mayweather Promotions is part of this event along with GBP (Ryan Garcia's promoter). TGB is probably the lead promoter here since Brown is always in the middle during pictorials and is usually the promoter tabbed by most PBC events.

Tank probably remained a promotional-free agent like Canelo and is free to fight under any promotions. PBC is the real promoter anyways so if Tank has a managerial contract and wants to continue working with Al then he doesn't really need a promotional contract that will take a portion of his events profits.

Yes, it certainly seems like it to me as well because Tom Brown of the TGB Promotions is also mentioned first whenever they advertise this fight while Oscar of the GBP is the co-promoter. And for Tank Davis being a promotional-free agent, he might sign under Al Haymon of the PBC but I'm under the impression that Tank Davis is also looking forward to build his own promotional company as the name GTD Promotions which is also his logo.
Still a good move from Davis, if he was able to maintain a good relationship still with Floyd and others personalities, he needed their influence and probably the top adviser as well while negotiating this fight.

Tank Davis also mentioned in interviews that Ryan has earn his place already and he deserved to face him. (Whatever he means by that, it's open for interpreration), maybe moving forward he is going to be selective of his opponents or whoever he wants to face for the money.
1291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 16, 2023, 11:15:16 AM

So definitely we will see Beterbiev fight this year again. But we have to wait for it and it is obviously not Bivol which is the fighter that we wanted to see and for the unification of the belt. But Callum Smith might be a good opponent for him. We all know that he had a good title run, until he lost to Saul Alvarez and then he decided to move up to 175 and now has another crack for the belt against Beterbiev.

More likely he will just gonna bulldozed by Beterbiev because he is not that strong enough to take his punches. I don't know what else Beterbiev needs when he already got the best requirements to fight with Bivol. But still, when it comes to a super fight such as this one, it turns out the negotiation is so hard that it will gonna be taken so long before they can even decide whether to approve the fight or not. Anyway, Beterbiev doesn't really care whoever he's next opponent will be, as long as they are in the same weight, he will demolish him.

I guess he needs to fight Bivol, as he is not getting any younger, so at least he should have a big fight before retiring. Callum Smith is tall but weak; he was beaten by Canelo easily, just like what Canelo did to Caleb Plant. Maybe Beterbiev has to consider challenging himself more, and that is by fighting a boxer against whom we aren't sure he will win.
Yes, another great fight that we all waiting to see, if and only if their respective promoters will just sit up and talk because both of them wanted to fight. I agree that Beterbiev is not getting young and he is going to face a prime Bivol if ever they will in the future.

Callum Smith? Nah, I think he will be worst that Yarde in my opinion, If Yarde was able to stay with Beterbiev and then fell on the latter rounds, it might be a complete opposite for Smith as once he feel the power of Beterbiev early, he might go down that easy.

I suppose with today's news, we can rule this theory out then? Unless they got tired and needed some funds to shore up some broken banks over the pond... tough news for a lot of people involved.

First alerted on the service thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1935179.msg61917122#msg61917122
Yeah, with all the speculations in this thread and probably there are more out there who thinks the CM is a honeypot with all those conspiracy theories and what's not, and in the last 24 hours, we've got the answers.

And with this shake-up, I don't know, maybe there will be a new mixing services that will come along.

Just like Bitmixer.io->Bestmixer.io->Chipmixer.io
1293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 16, 2023, 12:37:22 AM
Lakers having a rough start against Houston, and there's no Davis, so it seems that the field is even although the Lakers should have the experience in this game. But so far the young Houston team are dictating the game, with a huge lead in the first quarter.

Lakers need this one pretty much, and if they lost to a low team like Houston, it will hurt their momentum.

D'Lo and Malik doesn't have the same start as their last game wherein they just blasted with a 14-0 run start in the first quarter.
1294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme coins still a good invest? on: March 15, 2023, 02:06:09 PM
Do you think that meme coins still have a chance to do well in the next bull market? Would you still invest on projects like shiba inu and floki inu.
Depends, I mean in the previous bull run, the one and only meme coin, Doge was influence by Elon Musk. That's why we have a lot of meme coins that born out of it. And only Shiba has so far have that distinction of surviving at least in this bull run and keep afloat in the market.

But in doesn't mean that it will have a continue success in the next bull run.

So for me it's a risk to invest in this meme coins, just saying, unless you got lucky and invest early on them and so when they pump up, you will enjoy the fruits but it's a long shot, in my opinion.
1295  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will (probably) go lower. on: March 15, 2023, 01:38:12 PM
Just four days ago the value of Bitcoin was around 20k$ more, but just yesterday bitcoin was around 21k$ more and now it suddenly pumped 24800$.

The volatility of bitcoin is really different, we don't know that anytime it can attack an increase or decrease in the market. I'm sure many bitcoin holders are happy with this event.
Of course, the happiest thing that holders feel is when they see the price of bitcoin going up and I also feel very happy when I see the price of bitcoin pass $ 25k a few hours ago. bitcoin is very volatile and i don't believe the price of bitcoin will ever drop past $20k again.
Many people said that before, and I include myself among those people, and still bitcoin dropped for a few moments below that level due to the issues the USDC coin had, so we must never discard a scenario like that even if it may seem unlikely to us, however even if it happened I would think of this as a good thing as it can give you an opportunity to accumulate bitcoin for a very good price, and then you can reap the rewards once the price of bitcoin goes up once again.
Yeah and it did go up to $26k, and thanks to the OP's advice, it did go lower and so it's time to buy during that time and hopefully did and if they do then obviously then can make money today or when the price rose to $26k and sell.

However, for the majority, we are still going to hold and wait for more good news to come.

But the best thing to happen to us is to wait for the halving next year, because that will be the catalyst for a massive bull run.
1296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: March 15, 2023, 01:04:17 PM

I do see that Donaire will win this fight as he's facing a not ranked boxer here. Not degrading Santiago here but there's no big achievement yet he did even though he's currently at the peak of his career.

In this case, he can still show his skills and promote his next fight with lots of sales because we all know, he still has that flash speed and huge power when it comes to kinds of opponents like Santago. It's really hard for Donaire to retire because as of today, there is no Filipino boxer who is more famous than him who is still active because others are just a bunch of still climbing the ladder. He worked hard to get to where he is right now and to fully use it to his advantage until the end, it's just one of the wisest decisions in his life that he could ever make. Maybe he still can fight for another 3 or 4 fights if he easily wins this one.
This is why this fight is so important for the future of Donaire, a clear win will dissipate all the rumors about a possible retirement and his fans will be more at ease knowing they can still watch Donaire fight professionally for a few more years, but a difficult win or a defeat will only increase those rumors, and while I think Donaire has enough to beat Santiago it is not clear to me if he still has a high enough skill to win easily due to his age.
Records alone are in favor of Donaire, but in terms of potential as an underdog lots are betting on Santiago. Though it is still unclear, but surely enough when the odds are out it'll be in favor of Donaire.
Yes, when the odds are out, Donaire will be the favorite for sure.

Fans are also anxious about this announcement since there are already speculations that he will retire if lose this fight. Some even says that due to his age, it'll be a big problem for him. But personally I would like him to fight for more and will be supporting him. His fight against Inoue is really a glimpse of him hitting his limits, so I hope it'll clear everyone's minds if ever he'll win this fight.
Maybe we just have to wait and be patience, let's not preempt everything for Donaire, if he feels that he wants to retire then so be it. As fans, we wanted to see him fight, but in any case that he decided to hang his gloves depending on the result of the fight, then we will support him for sure. Right now, let's just enjoy this fight and bet according to whoever we see will win here.
1297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 15, 2023, 12:31:04 PM
In their next game, the Lakers will be up against the Rockets, who recently beat the Celtics. The Rockets' confidence is quite high now, but the Lakers are also playing with consistency, so I kind of like their chances to win on the road again. LeBron isn't needed yet, so the squad can continue to work their best to maintain their current good standing. As for Davis, I don't think the Rockets' defense will be able to limit him. This game will likely be a battle of offenses most of the time.
Yeah, I think it's a morale boosting game for the Rockets. But I think the Lakers have a good chance to win, no offense to the Rockets team, but the Lakers has more good players in their lineup and they have the experienced.

But one thing that the Rockets has the advantage in this game is that it will be in their home court. So if Lakers will start hot just like their last game, they might win this game. And on the other hand, they shouldn't allow the Rockets to take a big lead as well because trying to play a catch up is very hard to do as they might have a tire legs entering the 4th.
1298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: March 15, 2023, 12:04:31 PM

It will be a test for Inoue if he can really strip the belt out from Fulton after choosing to move up in this new division.

Let see how he will continue if he can still dominate to this new weight division.

It's a test, but not a big one, because even though Inoue is the challenger, people still believe he'll win without a problem. If Inoue beats Foltun easily, it will reveal that the current division is weak, so Foltun has to be aggressive and go toe-to-toe against the challenger.
I do think whether he is the odds favorite, it will still be a big test for him to proved himself in this new weight class. I haven't check the list, but I don't think that this current division is weak, we have the crowd favorite in Casimero and then the hard hitting Nery right and the other 2 belt champion.

So I don't think it's not that deep, there are a lot of good boxers in this division.

And with that, Inoue will have to dig deeper on his skills if he wanted to unify again just like what he did in bantam.
1299  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are they up to? on: March 14, 2023, 09:01:42 PM
Few strangers have send message to me on telegram, they want me to sell them old empty Ethereum wallet that I have used to do some transactions in the past, I am curious what they plan to use them for? One claimed he already bought 80 Ethereum wallets from people, anyone have a clue? And the fact is I try confusing one of them that the wallet they bought doesn't entirely belong to them, because the sellers still have access to the wallet since they know the recovery seed.
Not just Ethereum though, but as far as I can remember there are also individuals looking for old bitcoin addresses, and yeah the same reasons to claim fork coins, in short to incentivised them. So if by chance you old address but doesn't feel like selling it, then don't, simply as that.
1300  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is ageing and old people part of bitcoin? on: March 14, 2023, 12:28:22 PM
Parents that are of age, what do we think about then? Do you think they're eligible and learned to learn about bitcoin? Talking about ageing parents of 70, 80, and 90s. Looking at the current world parents don't like their children to be exposed to internet maybe because of their past experience of scam threats or they've trade something similar to bitcoin in the past.

Do you think our ageing parents are into crypto investment or trading? Some of them are sound and intelligent and they can comfortable operates their tabs while relaxing. If they're probably into crypto why are some of them advising their children to diseased from internet?

Let's see brilliant opinion
It's really hard to say if our parents are into bitcoin or crypto in general. I would agree if they are into stocks because I know my parents are. I introduced them to crypto and they say no because you know, they can't take the volatility and how the price swings.

But there could be elderly who wanted to explore more and try their hands in this so called crypto market and could have been enjoying themselves. And we all know that they have the mentally fortitude already because of their experience thru age.
