1321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how exchanges list news crypto tokens on: March 07, 2023, 08:05:31 PM

i want to know,
how do crypto exchanges list new tokens, what terms and condition or what type of document are needed to list a token .
i really doesn't know anything so may be the written terms may seem off the points
If I remember correctly, top tier exchanges requires the project to pay at least minimum 1 BTC to get listed on their exchanges, but they have their is a review process. And for some reasons they rejected it, then obviously, you don't have to pay that huge amount.

For other exchanges, like lower tier, it might be that they don't require any amount or at least not that huge amount to begin with.

It's business after all, everyone need to make money out of this market.
1322  Economy / Speculation / Re: Expectations for March?! on: March 07, 2023, 07:27:41 PM
Despite Fed's Jerome Powell speech today that the ultimate level of interest is likely to be higher than previously predicted, Gold reacted and dropped in price But Bitcoin had a slightly drop to $21,950 and later absorb the news, and has still not break the daily support level at $21k, this shows sign of strength and also shows that Buyers are still active in the market. It likely that the month of march Bitcoin will likely do more of consolidation.
Ok, thanks for this news, so it's most likely the cause of the sudden drop, fortunately, it is still above $22k now, so it bounce back. As we all know, every statement coming from the Fed is really going to affect any market, including gold.

Hopefully we can go back to $22,500 because that is the price prior to the announcement from Feds.

It's just a couple of hundreds of dollars and most likely we can get it thru this week.
1323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: March 07, 2023, 01:00:19 PM
That's right, Inoue is not your ordinary boxer who's is easy to predict and evident to see his limits. Currently, there's no boxer that managed to unlock Inoue's weakness and Donaire was the only boxer who actually gave him a good toe-to-toe fight but even that fight wasn't enough to show his weakness and up until now, it's still a mystery and it will be an expensive move by any boxer just to know what is it.

For weakness of Inoue to unfold, he just needs to fight a better boxer than he is.  He may be dominated the bantamweight division, but I do not think that he will do the same in the super bantamweight.  Super Bantamweight is a different division and there are several known boxers that can possibly defeat Inoue in this division.  The boxer in this division have heavier punches and more resistance to blows or punches, and since Inoue is taking a shortcut, he probably doesn't know the extent of the punching power of this division.

I very much agree, however, this is what the sport of boxing is supposed to be. The best boxers should challenge the other best boxers in another weight division or in their present weight division. This will bring the sport forward again and not need to become a comedy show to get more attention similar to Jake Paul. Fulton vs. Inoue, Tank vs. King Ry and Haney vs. Lomanchenko are good fights for the fans and the sport.
And it's it ironic though that we are seeing this money fights in the below weight class? I mean the 147 lbs is what we know as the best, but we haven't seen Crawford and Spence.

But even in the 140 lbs, we have seen Josh Taylor unify the belts and then 135 as you have said, Tank vs Ryan Garcia, and then we have Haney vs Loma. And as if this lower division are mocking the supposedly best weight class because it now becomes a joke, Spence vs Thurman fighting at 154 lbs and with no belts on the line.
1324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: March 07, 2023, 12:16:04 PM
Ok as per Tank Davis, there will be a press conference, maybe to announce this fight,

https://twitter.com/Gervontaa/status/1632105626188009472

And after that, the tickets will be on sale, and then we will find out if it could be sell out in the next couple of hours since there is a big hype on this fight. It this happens, then big money is on the table for this two.

Gonna be fun to see this two throwing words and trash talking, hehehehe.

I'm really looking forward as well on how these two would banter during press conference and maybe they would have a heated argument during weigh-ins hahahaha and would definitely want to see those two fight head-on given that they both have undefeated record on their professional career.

I am not reading and hearing any other boxer's opinion even though some of them might have a point but it would really depend on how they would do inside the ring on the day of their fight.
I think boxers are slightly favoring Tank Davis to win in this fight, as what we have been here, Tyson is on the side of Davis and so is the other boxers. But there are some like Tim Bradley (although it's up to us to value his opinion), that wants Ryan to put a punishment on Davis.

So the odds might not reflect what boxers or even our community thinks who is going to win in this fight.

Both has a knockout power and so that could be the difference, as who will land that perfect shot to score a knockdown or knockout.
1325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 07, 2023, 11:03:18 AM
Celtics scored threes with incredible percentage in first half and played a great defense in last period. Even without Tatum they were very productive. Brogdon made an extra contribution. But they blew the lead in last 24 seconds. They had another chance to win the game but Williams shot 0/2 free throws and Cavs got a miraculous win in overtime. It's funny that these two teams' three games went to overtime this season. Cavs won all three of them. It was like a preview of a possible Eastern semis. That would be a damn good series if happens.
It was really a good game between the two, when we thought that the Celtics are going to win this one, the Cavs comes back strong and force that OT.  And the Cavs found one player to make the difference, and it was Lamar Stevens, who hit the corner 3 and then drive to score a easy point. And then he hussle and play defense, on Jaylen Brown. So good win by the Cavs, Mitchell having another good game for them at 40 points.
1326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 04, 2023, 02:35:01 AM
The Nets taking a slim 5 point lead against the Boston Celtics, and entering the 4th quarter.

I think this could be the night for the Nets to finally win one game, first quarter ended with 37-15 in favor of the Celtics. But the Nets come back huge in the 2nd and 3rd quarter to take that lead.

So let us see if they can pull a upset here as Boston is still the favorite even though they are trailing entering the last quarter.
1327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 04, 2023, 02:18:16 AM
Yes it was clearly a duck to me as well, how him and Top Rank try to avoid Donaire at all cost and just hiding on their own reasons like doesn't want to work with Probellum, Donaire's promotion but in the past did they that.

After all, Nonito Donaire is still considered a threat in the Bantamweight even after being beaten by Naoya Inoue as the Japanese are really on the highest level at 118 lbs and no one can beat this guy. Top Rank once again spoiled another big fight in the Bantamweight as they clearly ducked their boxer, Jason Moloney to fight the old Donaire who still has the speed and strength.

I hope that Donaire will win the fight and claim the WBC title in order for the boxing council to somehow mandate title defense against top-ranked boxer in their list and that includes Jason Moloney. Top Rank will surely be forced to accept the deal. But the longer they are doing delays, the older Donaire is getting to.

That's for sure, the longer the delay the chance that Donaire will retire first before the fight will take place, they are avoiding him since he really can still do the damage even at his age, I'm hoping that he will get the belt and have a title defense or another couple of fights before deciding to retire is gloves.

Let see what will future will dictate to his career and how he can push his way back being a title holder.
Donaire now become the most feared bantamweight, and yes, hopefully we want him to see fight Moloney in the future, that is if their promotional company will have to sit down and forget about Bob's accusation on the people behind Probellum.

But if Moloney loses his fight against Astrolobio, then I don't see him fighting Donaire next.

He will have to back as challenger for the champions of any governing body as the fight has been settled as to who is going to fight who for the belt. So it's a one time chance for this boxers to win that vacated belt.
1328  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's second biggest weekly gain happened yesterday on: March 03, 2023, 09:09:00 AM
Before that I also thought bitcoin would correct at 22k4 and close the candle at that ceiling before the end of the month, but my prediction was wrong, bitcoin still shows a guaranteed $23k. Maybe that is the next bottom with greater support.  Last week of February correction is generating optimism and that is what I believe bitcoin will make even bigger stops to break 30k soon
And today I was also surprised when I saw the lowest price on Bitcoin which was even below $22K, although not so long ago it immediately returned to above $22K again. This means that the $22K level is the lowest price this month before Bitcoin shows a better price than last month on the market, so I am also still very optimistic that Bitcoin still has greater support for the next increase this month even though today's correction surprised me a little
It's because of the Silvergate news that pushes the price to go down again. Me as well was surprised and have to look at the reasons on why the price suddenly goes down -6% the most and billions wipeout.

Quote
The price of Bitcoin (BTC) has fallen more than 5% from $23,500 to $22,240 in just over 60 minutes, amid a wave of uncertainty concerning crypto-friendly bank Silvergate Capital.

The price drop has wiped $22 billion from Bitcoin's total market capitalization, which is now at $430.9 billion, according to Cointelegraph Markets Pro.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-price-slides-5-in-60-minutes-hitting-two-week-low-amid-silvergate

Nevertheless, we should be positive that we can bounce back again to $23k-$24k range this month. $25k will be better as this seems to be the magic number as it is the biggest resistance right now.
1329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 03, 2023, 08:07:25 AM
Ok we have a new order for the IBF bantamweight,

it will be Emmanuel Rodriguez vs Melvin Lopez as ordered by IBF. So everything has taken shape now since Inoue has vacated all the belt.
Donaire vs Santiago, (WBF)
Astrolobio vs Moloney (WBO)
Takuma Inoue vs Solis (WBA)

So that's what the bantamweight will look like for this year and the vacancy will be filled by this fights.
And it's good to see at least 2 Filipino on that list, Donaire and Astrolobio vying for the vacant belt in the bantamweight. There is still one, Reymart Gaballo, but for sure he will get the first crack on the belt since he is also a rank boxer in bantamweight. Might be hard for Filipinos to make it 2-0 here, specially Astrolobio who is facing Jason Moloney.

The brother of Inoue is also in that list, so maybe he can take that belt and continue to bring it in Japan if he wins against Solis, although this fight is going to be held in their country as well.
1330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Shuichiro Yoshino April 8 on: March 03, 2023, 07:30:11 AM

I check 2 sports bookies and so far the only is odds listed is the ML, so no value if we are going to bet on Shakur. But if we wanted to go for the Japanese underdog at 7.x, now is the time to bet (but as I have said, the chances are slim to win either by decision or ko/tko).

So let's wait for more line to be offered, maybe we can see some value if there will be more options for Shakur like winning by decision or even winning by knockout or which round. Maybe the referee will have to stop it when he sees the Japanese taking more damage from Shakur jab and pin point accuracy in this match.

Enticing for gambler who love to take the big risk and hope for some luck, 7x of your initial bet would be nice if the Japanese
fighter will manage to upset Shakur.

For sure, there are gamblers who will take the ML for Shakur even the winning odd is small, some might place a big amount to win
decently.

While for loyal fans who support Shakur, chances that even with small possible winnings it will add to their enjoyment while
watching the fight.
Nah, smart money should be on Shakur Stevenson and not on Yoshino. For me even with that huge odds for him, I wouldn't take that bite, just saying. Shakur will be too good for Yoshino in this fight. This is the Japanese first fight out of his native home country, and so there will be adjustment because this is a big stage and he might not take the limelight. As for what will be the good bet for Shakur, we will have to wait and see then. No value for ML, but if there are more options, then obviously we are going to bet on that with a higher odds.
1331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 03, 2023, 06:57:01 AM

How about the Warriors as well switching gear in the 3rd quarter, outscoring the Clippers 42-16 and then somewhat let go of the pedal but still a decent win in the 4th, 28-19. And so the Clippers is still win less when the acquire Westbrook.

Even without Curry, the Warriors are still a tough team. Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole led the Warriors to a big win. The second half belonged to the Warriors as they dominated the Clippers with their efficient shooting. The big news is that the curse continues: Westbrook is now officially 0-4 after joining the Clippers.
And that shooting on the 3rd quarter though, Poole was hot and so is Klay Thompson and then every one want a piece of the the 3 point, so they contributed hitting it from the outside.

They also played good defense in the last 2 quarters, forcing turnovers. Even Kawhi can't post up with a small guard on him. On the other hand, if I'm not mistaken, there were 2 steals from Russ, so yeah, 0-4 for him as a Clipper.
1332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin is lost in a wallet can it ever be recovered on: March 03, 2023, 01:36:37 AM
The reason for this question is that I just wanted to know if after losing one's bitcoin, will it be accredited to the number of Bitcoin mine even if the wallet can never be recovered

If Yes then can't the wallet be trace back Afterall it is possible to see the number of Bitcoin own by an unknown individual through bitcoin Blockchain and with the years of dormancy of the address its possible to know if the wallet address might be lost and if the address as been long (like 2010, 2011 or 2012) such address could easily be hacked because it likely an Hot wallet and security was not that strait
Difficult to understand what you are saying here, but yes if you get hack and your bitcoin is transferred to another wallet then the custody belongs to the hackers already. Although you can see it in blockchain and trace it, but if the hackers knows how to obfuscated then you will come to a dead end. Remember that addresses doesn't have the name, so even if you have the address of the hackers, their identity will remain hidden.
1333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC Shouldn’t Regulate Crypto Stablecoins, Says Circle CEO on: March 02, 2023, 03:30:53 AM
What do you expect? this guy has some narrative behind to say what he wanted to say because obviously he his company has a lot of stable coins.

Regulation is usually not good, especially for cryptocurrency market. However, when it comes to stablecoin, I would support the regulation because that would essentially force the issuers to establish proof of reserve. That will help to bring back trust into the stable coin market.

Since stablecoins are not decentralised, regulations might be needed to ensure that user's get the assurance of trust!
Really depends as you says, like Tether who has been in the limelight since 2018, and they don't want to be scrutinized or something.
https://www.cftc.gov/PressRoom/PressReleases/8450-21

Quote
Washington, D.C. — The Commodity Futures Trading Commission today issued an order simultaneously filing and settling charges against Tether Holdings Limited, Tether Limited, Tether Operations Limited, and Tether International Limited (d/b/a Tether) for making untrue or misleading statements and omissions of material fact in connection with the U.S. dollar tether token (USDT) stablecoin. The order requires Tether to pay a civil monetary penalty of $41 million and to cease and desist from any further violations of the Commodity Exchange Act (CEA) and CFTC regulations, as charged.

So this is going to be a cat and mouse game for regulators and stable coins in the future.
1334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: March 02, 2023, 03:11:43 AM
[snip]
I think it will still be the style of Fulton vs the power of the Monster. Their skills sets might be equal at this stage. But the power will be at Inoue as we have seen that he has that knockout power. And for sure Fulton knows this one and going to try to avoid it as possible without getting hit.
That is an interesting matchup between Stephen Fulton and Naoya Inoue. As you mentioned, Fulton's style and Inoue's power will likely play a big role in the fight. While their skill sets may be relatively equal --but for me, Inoue's knockout power is certainly something to watch out for. I have this doubt and I don't think if you notice this too, Fulton will likely try to avoid getting hit by Inoue's power punches while using his own technical skills and footwork to try and outmaneuver him. It will be a test of Fulton's defensive abilities as well as his ability to counter Inoue's power with his own shots --it is worth noting that Fulton has shown his own punching power in his recent fights, so he should not be underestimated in this regard
Great observation, Fulton's counter is very crucial here. We all know that Inoue's power punches can bring him down, but with good anticipations and with proper training to prepare against a monster will be noticed here.

Fulton's acceptance to defend his belt is something that fans will love from him, if he will beat Inoue here
respect and more recognitions will be rewarded to this champ.
Inoue though has face one of the best counter puncher in Donaire in their first fight and yes, it was very close and Donaire doing some damage on Inoue. So I guess Inoue see the best counters already, although Fulton might be different as he can't be compare to Donaire's counter punching.

But still though, experience wise, Inoue should be all set to fight Fulton as whether what style will Stephen comes out in this fight.

And in the end, Inoue's boxing skills and his tools might be too much for Fulton to handle.
1335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 02, 2023, 02:20:26 AM
Durant and the Suns are hot, they lead double digits now in the second quarter and Durant looks flawless with 12 points already. Probably he just excited to play again and the Suns are giving him that much time.

Probably easy 20+ points game for him and most likely a blow out as everyone as expected as they are the favorite in this game.

edit: 40-26 is the score.

I'm bummed I can't watch the game but it's nice to see the Suns on top and Durant seemingly playing well.  Booker is still the one leading the team in shots, but I don't expect that to be the case forever.  Durant shooting 2/3 from 3 point and 6/9 from the field currently is a good sign that he's back to feeling like his old self from the injury.  Chris Paul doesn't seem to be doing all that much looking at the stat sheet but I guess it doesn't matter if they're winning.  It looks like Booker, Ayton, and Durant might all end the game with 20+ points.  I suspect they'll be a pretty hard team to beat when that happens.
Yes, easy 23 points for Durant, same here, just watch till the second quarter and it seems it was a blow up game for the Suns. And as just what they say, welcome to Phoenix.

Booker game high 37 points and Ayton adding 16/16.

So good first game for Durant and the expectation for the Suns is still there, the hype I mean.
1336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: March 02, 2023, 01:09:28 AM
Here we go boys, it's official now,

https://twitter.com/Gervontaa/status/1629214312949751808

And several media outlets are also reporting it, so its' going to be April 22. Everyone is right though, maybe the biggest stumbling block is the court case of Tank Davis, sentencing is May 5 so after this fight, then he has another one in court.

Nevertheless his legal team are going to handle that so there should be no distractions for him and Garcia as well to make this fight happen on April. For sure everyone now is very excited that finally, we have a date and just waiting for what venue it is in Las Vegas.

So the match is definitely happening then? Why can't they ever just say it straight without expressing the ego driven need to make it seem like its still not been decided upon. The cryptic messages on social media posts do become quite annoying after a while. The marketing team seems to be having fun with keeping everyone on edge and listening for anything that might be considered a final decision. But then again, I guess it is working. The fans were obviously jonesing for the details.

Lets see how this plays out.
Boxing now is business, and so there is the ego of most boxers as well, it's a combat sports so what do you expect for this fighters? Specially in an era wherein we are in the social media and so boxers like Ryan loves to express themselves out and let everyone know through their official social media accounts.

But what's important is that they have hurdled everything including the rematch clause.

So yes, let's see if Ryan can have that rematch or Davis winning the first fight is enough for the fans not to clamor a second fight.
1337  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price guess for March on: March 02, 2023, 12:50:55 AM
Yeah, I do agree with the majority, I mean we did touch $25k several times if I'm not mistaken, it's that it quickly evaporated as everyone is making a profit and selling at the price. But in any case, it's a barrier that we are going to break again and again and maybe we got lucky this March that once we breach it, we can have a sustain rally up to $28k. So my guess for this March is $25k or higher, and it might be achievable in the last 2-3 weeks of this month.
1338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are investors so sceptical about Altcoins? on: March 01, 2023, 09:40:23 AM
It's because altcoins are too

1. risky - many turns out to be scam, or developers left the project so there is no roadmap or improvement after the released so and it die
2. manipulation - if the project still exist up to this day, there could be some groups, man in connection with the people behind to pump and dump. Thus making them more money
3. some of them simply die - that's how it is, there is some life span for this project, specially if there are no support from the community

And so on, not all altcoins though are like this, there are still solid projects specially in the top 10.
1339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jon Jones vs Ciryl Gane on: March 01, 2023, 09:13:35 AM
I also think that Jon Jones is going to win this fight. It's time to prove again and that he is back with this huge statement win.

There are videos of Jones circulating, and he working on that take down of his and probably this will be his bread and butter in this fight. I'm not expecting this fight to last the full distance though. The under 4.5 rounds looks very attractive at 2.xx odds.
1340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 01, 2023, 08:44:05 AM

Yes, saw that news too, and it's going to hurt the Lakers chances to make it to the playoffs. When you think that everything is working on their end, and we saw James still plays during their massive comeback and then limping out, and this could be the price to pay for that comeback of them.

He is getting old and became injuries prone to hunt him nowadays even though he takes care of his body more than any other NBA player right now. Too bad for them and they've just easily lost tonight against the Grizzlies. Maybe this year will not be their destiny to be playing in the NBA playoffs and even though they can manage to get to the play-in tournament, surely they will gonna struggle and probably will gonna be knockout without Lebron James to help them inside the court.

Without LeBron and Davis, or either of them not playing, will certainly hurt the Lakers. With what happened, I'm sure their chances of winning will drop, as they have lost their leaders. Let's wait for more updates regarding the injury. If he will miss games, hopefully it won't be for too long.
And as what have been expected, without Lebron they have a hard time winning and it's a tough team in the West in Memphis. They still hold on though till the 2nd quarter of the game.

But Ja Morant erupted with 39 points in the game, but still good to see the Lakers with AD at the lead, trying to push and get a win.

Maybe against a low team, this Lakers will have a good chance to take a win without the injured Lebron.
