2281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best way to make extra money on: February 18, 2022, 04:03:05 PM
So I think that the best way to earn extra money is the way of investing in a crypto-coin that has been proven over the years, which already brings good profits to many.
It's proven and tested which we have been able to experience.

But also be careful with projects that may good look to you. As always, DYOR, because it's the best thing to do if you're finding out a project that you may think is good for investing.

NFT, ICO, IEO and other type of those, they've became a source for extra money for many investors. But also be aware of scammers are also into those.
2282  Economy / Economics / Re: What's happening in Canada ? on: February 18, 2022, 02:13:23 PM
It's not a good move from the canadian government. It's not a good one to freeze the wallet of people who hold the cryptocurrency. Instead they can make a law.
That's what they're doing. They are the law and that's what they're implementing is based from what they think and there's no need to have it long to wait just to implement it.

It's not really a good move to freeze those accounts that might have been known to hold crypto. But they're into those protesters and that's the action that they're taking for them to mitigate the issue.

Because they can get a law in a parliament. The percentage of tax can be get from the people. At the last government get huge money for the government which can be used for the welfare of the government. Freezing of wallet opinion should be changed by the government. It's only way to earn some tax from people.
It's not the issue about taxation, it's more than that and the Canadian government doesn't care about it. They're only certain and targeting specific people.

Not that best but it will help them manage to attract and get more investors to hold Owl token.

Is anybody was able to trade on pancakeswap successfully w/ owl token?

Can you provide us more information about the issue you are having?
Please try raising the slippage.

The slippage is 10% and the error says:
Code:
insufficient_output_amount

As per my research, this is about having low liquidity.

isn’t it because the pool has already been expired?
The other has expired but there's still the other that's active but even it's active, I have tried there but it seems full already since it's not proceeding on me.
2284  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Keep calm and buy the dip! Told yah. on: February 17, 2022, 12:04:41 PM
The thought has haunted me since last day that if Apple, Amazon and other big companies accept bitcoin it price will easily touch 100k   Luckily, the price is low still and I’ve been able to stack,  but just as you said, one day it will shoot ups and won’t come back and establish a whole new support level. No need to ve panic. Veey soon we will see good pump in all alt
It is going to happen soon.

Bitcoin is bound to be up and whenver the price is down, there's always the cautious moment for most holders because everybody is thinking that it's the end.

But who always reigns and make money at the end? It's the holders who have been patient and not triggered to sell during the dips.
Not only into those holder but also into those people who do consider out on buying on the dip and not all those who had been  holding are confident on buying back on the dips but for sure they are aware
on how this market moves on which whenever theres a dip in price then there would really be that recovery that would happen next which is something the very standard thing to happen.
I know its not something easy that you could really done because of uncertainty of the situation and this isnt something that you could deal off without hesitation due to
unpredictability of the market.
It isn't easy.

But if you're determined and eager, you can do it.

In the beginning, when someone sees the pump we're all wanting to be part of it. And as it drops, we're thinking that we're lucky that we didn't buy at the peak.

It's always a psychological barrier and thinking that makes us think negatively in a positive situation and vice versa. And we need to break that through our decisions like buying when it's lower even it's not the dip.
2285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT for money laundering? on: February 17, 2022, 09:13:09 AM
NFT can indeed be an easy target for criminals because it is very easy to carry out money laundering practices with NFT. However, I don't think this will last long, the government should immediately prepare regulations for NFT because technology is being adopted very quickly.
The criminals don't have to target NFTS.

But they're the ones that are going to buy those artworks in NFT because they can hide their wealth. And later on, they'll also sell it and for sure there's a taker for it.

Well, they've just cleaned their money and laundered it and that's the concern with expensive NFTS.
2286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why people keep "investing" money in shit/memecoins? Genuine question. on: February 17, 2022, 07:13:29 AM
shitcoin promises a higher ROI than bitcoin and that is what traps many people into being tempted to buy it Cheesy. I have some friends who keep telling me that meme coins will make him rich quick but so far he has never experienced that (he always loses), Bitcoin is always the best and most rational asset, unlike shitcoins or meme coins
Most of them promise nothing.

It is the mindsetting of every investor that have been chasing meme coins that they'll have a faster and higher ROI.

Those who got in early in these meme coins, they're the only ones that can make a lot of money from it. But the rest, who just invested newly, they should accept the fact that it's quite hard for them to recover.
Exactly, meme coins or any shitcoin for that matter do not even need to promise huge profits, investors deceive themselves, they think that since the coin is new and it has a low price then if it happens to grow then the potential profits they will get are enormous, and while they are not wrong in thinking that, they do not take the time to consider how likely is it the scenario they are expecting? Because if they did it and they realized that their chances of making money with those coins were so low, then they will not waste their time with those coins anymore.
The idea has been built in their minds that whenever they buy meme coins or any other altcoins, the profit will just come after to them.

But they don't realize that there are too many folks that have been deceived and thought wrongly about it. Instead of buying the right coins, still, they're putting hope that they'll become better from investing with those.
2287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it Better to Hodl or Stake your Tokens? on: February 17, 2022, 02:50:42 AM
staking is a good option if you have a lot of assets and you want to earn passive income but i personally don't have too many assets so i prefer hold because i can sell anytime and how much profit from my assets and i still have full power on my assets.
It's not about the quantity of each coin that you have. But it's about the count on how many coins you have per asset or specific coin.

That's more passive income if you're like focused on that token that you're going to stake. As you make money from staking, the bigger capital you have.

The bigger profit you'll get even if the APY isn't that much.

If you choose the right asset to stake, passive benefits are really awesome though due to heavy volatility inside this market,

it's hard to pick the right one to stake. It's beyond your proper understanding and your projections within the project itself. If you see good

future, it's still best to buy and hold. While waiting for the coin to pump, you are also gaining interest whatever the APY it's a growth from

your initial investment.
If it's about the choice, I've got choices that I'll be sure to stake and I'd be fine whatever will be the outcome of it.

But we're all having the same idea about buying and holding. The amount that you might earn on it doesn't make a difference if you're someone who's looking for bigger gains.

And if you're the type of person that's okay with small gains through staking, that's the choice that you should make.

$OWL holders, can also stake their tokens in our pools (at the time of writing our pool Is giving out 59% APR in $BUSD)
I've tried to stake my Owl tokens but it's not proceeding, the buttons aren't clickable. I know the other pool is no longer available and it's expired.

But the other one, I'm not able to stake my owl tokens. I know guys that you're working very hard for the token and the casino as well. Just keep it up soon the liquidity will increase.

If the website is not working, There some pool on other DeFi apps that offers $OWL token staking on unifarm but it's running on Polygon blockchain. I was able to stake my tokens last week. The devs said they are working on the new pool with much lower deposit fee. Maybe they already lock the current pool in preparation for the new pool that will be live shortly. Just wait for that because it has a much good offer compared to the current pool.
Yeah, maybe it's already locked but it doesn't show any message with that. I guess I'll just wait until the new pool comes.

I don't like to be in the polygon blockchain, I'll just stay with the BSC and hopefully it comes very soon.

Great job I know buyback mechanism is the best way to increase the value of a token when a large number of the tokens in is the hands of the owner it closes rooms for dumping and some level of price control, one more thing is who are the partner on owl token as to have some information about them since the list of your partner's are not on the website.
Not that best but it will help them manage to attract and get more investors to hold Owl token.

Is anybody was able to trade on pancakeswap successfully w/ owl token?
2292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I’m planning to surprise my soon-to-be-bride sister some BTC on her wedding day on: February 16, 2022, 08:43:25 AM
I just I have someone that has also gifted me with my bitcoin during my special occassions.  Tongue

I'm sure that she'll do also the same thing as what she had done to Ethereum that you've gifted her before. She's wise if she's going to keep it so that she already has bitcoin and eth on her portfolio.

And it's going to be wiser if she's going to buy using her own money or if her husband is going to team up with her to add more bitcoin and eth.
2293  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What did you learn about crypto trading? on: February 16, 2022, 07:31:59 AM
~snip~

Pro traders are familiar with all situations that occur in the market, they are familiar with crypto trading very well.
Well, they wouldn't be called pro if they don't know how to assess the situation and if they're not familiar with trading.

So even experiencing losses,
pro traders can control their emotions and will not rush to make decisions. The conclusion is that for people who are experienced in the trading world
like a pro trader, the opportunity to be more successful is very large. because they have learned how to generate maximum profit.
Yes and that's where everyone is going. The newbies that are determined of what they're doing and can see themselves far in trading, they'll be the same as the pros today.

They might come to many obstacles but if they don't give up, it's going to be a plus to them when they continue until they've experienced almost every downfall.

No one can skip losing.

Just as you've said, the experienced traders can't avoid losing but they can minimize it based on what they've learned over the years of trading.

That's the advantage that they have and minimizing the potential loss. There's no one that can have a 0% of loss because in reality, we all are going to loss no matter how good you are in trading.
Yes, it is true, no one has loss as much as 0%. Pro traders who have years of experience have also experienced losses, but they have been able to control money management in their trading.
It's the advantage for them.

They can do anything based on their capability to avoid getting huge loss. The matter to them is that they have to do whatever they can to minimize the losses.

Inexperienced ones, can't accept that they've already lost so they try to recover it as much as they can. That's the difference of them between, inexperienced and experienced.
2296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 14, 2022, 11:49:24 PM
Amir Khan vs. Kell Brook and Jerwin Ancajas vs. Fernando Martinez are the fights worth watching I'll skip Guillermo Rigondeaux vs. Vincent Astrolabio, we all know what kind of fighter Guillermo Rigondeaux is, it's boring whenever Rigo is on the ring he refuses and is afraid to engage, the Amir Khan vs. Kell Brook is the most exciting fight to watch I have it in my calendar and we have a dedicated thread for this two warriors.
Thanks, I'll check and see those recommendations that you've said.

Yes, there are too many matches and that's why I'm asking which are the matches that are interesting to watch since I'm not familiar with all of them.

Then how it can become interesting to you if you are not familiar with them? There are lots of upcoming matches that we are interested to watch but it's not the same case on how you see it. Like the upcoming big match between Ugas and Spence Jr. in April. It's a big fight that everyone wants to see but I don't know if that match will get your attention.

Another one is Casimero vs Butler, also in the same month. That was the rescheduled match after it was delayed last year, December.
That's the reason why I'm asking for recommendations. What I'm not aware of, maybe interesting to the others and that would also be interesting to see IMO.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'm also waiting for Casimero vs Butler.
2297  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What did you learn about crypto trading? on: February 14, 2022, 09:45:32 PM
One thing I notice in trading is that experience traders use to loss too. But their loss are small compared to inexperience traders. No matter how experience one is, the market will some times take everyone by surprise and introduce what is not known

If you're going to give away, the forum is the best place for you to get that audience and engagement that you get. There's the bounty type of giveaway, airdrop and you name it.

Just go to the Bounties section to check every what's in line to your budgeting. And if that is so, hire a reputable manager that has experienced in doing it so that you won't fall to an incompetent one.

Looking at the schedule of matches from ESPN. I have no idea who's going to be a good match to watch.

https://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/id/12508267/boxing-schedule

Anyone who has a good insight and has followed any of the boxer on that schedule that's interesting to watch?

There are plenty of fights but you don't have to watch everything, it's all up to you, you watch the fight that you know who is fighting so you will get entertained. As for me, I am more interested to watch fights especially if it's a championship fight.

This month, I'll be watching the following fights.

- Amir Khan vs. Kell Brook
- Jerwin Ancajas vs. Fernando Martinez
- Guillermo Rigondeaux vs. Vincent Astrolabio

Yes, there are too many matches and that's why I'm asking which are the matches that are interesting to watch since I'm not familiar with all of them. And that's why in particular, I'll just try to watch those that have been suggested and seems good to watch.

Those fights that you've suggested were all good.

I guess I'll watch the first and the last in that list.
