2001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 06, 2022, 10:27:40 PM
It's already confirmed, the WBO finally released a statement earlier regarding John Riel Casimero's WBO title to be stripped. It took them more or less 2 weeks to give a result wether Casimero will be stripped of that said title or not.

Also, Paul Butler was hailed as the champion of the Bantamweight division

More here: John Riel Casimero’s days as a world champion are over
That was easy for Butler.

Too bad for Casimero and we're guessing that his feeling right now is devastated long ago when it was said that his title will be stripped from him. What such setup and lack of knowledge from his team.

To the boxing experts here, is it possible that Casimero challenges Butler? So the tide will turn and he's now the one that will challenge the champion. And if that happens, is the camp of Butler obliged to say yes, or can reject that?
2002  Economy / Gambling / Re: crash game some new ideas on: May 06, 2022, 01:10:46 PM
Go for a 0% house edge and you'll eventually be going to adjust to a likelihood of 0.1%.

A casino is a business and as an owner, you'll have to take a share from the operation that you'll do unless you want to run a charity out of it. Taking a percentage from the winner's profit on top of the house edge, you'll just push customers away.
2003  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Some Errors We Make In Trading Crypto on: May 06, 2022, 10:27:25 AM
Yes.

Many were truly misled.

I've been there and have talked to several of my friends and thought that it's easy money if they get into crypto. I've told them like that and frankly said that it's not easy as they think.

Well, they got in without my knowing and they didn't inform me that they've bought shitcoins during the peak. They only talked to me when they've already incurring losses.
Regardless of whatever happens to your friend I think such an experience is good for your friend,
it seems like it sounds heartless but if they learn from those mistakes I think they will grow,
what is clear is that it is very important to have prior preparation regarding knowledge and skills so as not to make the wrong decision
It's like they don't trust those words that I've told them. But yes, it's about the lesson that they've gained and they went through the situation that I've been in as well.

That's why I've talked to them when they've asked about crypto so that they can avoid that experience I've got. Well, they chose to experience it and they're good right now.

And we're still taking on how things are working with the market and mostly when it's on the bloody days.
2004  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Some Errors We Make In Trading Crypto on: May 06, 2022, 09:25:53 AM
most newbies are tricked into joining the trading scheme with the promise of the lucrative nature of Bitcoin. So the truth about Bitcoin investment as a not get rich quick scheme will help . And what you did is commendable.
That's the first impression of newbies when they see a successful person who's into crypto. They don't even wanna know if that person is an investor or just simply trading.
~snip~
^ Through this impression or belief many newbies have been misleading and thought that there is an easy way of making money in trading, they thought that it is a quick scheme that will give you a benefit even if lack knowledge of it. But that is not their burden, they keep learning and those mistakes make them stronger. Sad to say they need to lose huge money before they will learn how crypto space work either investment or that is trading that aims the same face, making a profit. I hope many newbies will comply with knowledge first before doing this because this is not easy money-making, it also consumes your time studying a lot of techniques.

Going back in here and speaking of STEPN.

I saw a post on Facebook that there were people that have bought those virtual shoes and they're also able to earn through walking as GPS is needed to track their walk.

Does anyone know that? As I've seen that they're able to make a profit from walking while that app is on. I'm not sure about the whole details but it's like an NFT shoe that's needed for you to earn as you walk.
2006  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cash out issue with FortuneJack Casino on: May 05, 2022, 11:53:04 PM
Yes, it is true I guess. I will be waiting and hopefully all will be fixed soon.
I will surely write the final update message once the payment is cleared.
Just wait and they'll surely resolve your issue.

They're a reputable casino and has been there for so long. They won't mess up just because of the issue that you've brought them. They'll definitely have you satisfied by what's right according to their rules.

Keep us updated on what has happened when they've come to you finally and finally has solved it.

And even they know if that person is an investor and consistently accumulating and doing the DCA strategy, they're not going to recognize it. Because one thing is on their mind, "that person became rich because of crypto". So everything they does will come to stick into their minds and will also try it even they have no background.

When they fail, they'll come to realize that it's not an overnight success.
2008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STEPN on: May 05, 2022, 09:51:58 PM
It's unlikely a scam.
But if it looks like a Ponzi scheme[1], it is considered a fraud[2], and any form of fraud is an act of scam.
Quote
FRAUD AND SCAMS. Fraud is an act, expression, omission or concealment that deceives another to the fraudster's advantage while scams are fraudulent business schemes to mislead/swindle/victimize a person or persons with the goal of financial gain.
I'm not into stepn(gmt) and never bought any of it. But I've seen the quick moving up of it and as you've said, it's true and I'm not against that ponzi's are fraud.

But you've said that it's just 'looks' like one.

What can you see that it's look like a ponzi scheme? I'm interested to know more about it.

It's also dropping right now just how correlated altcoins are with bitcoin.
2009  Economy / Economics / Re: Get, Save & Invest. on: May 05, 2022, 08:47:16 PM
In saving, you're practicing the discipline on how to become responsible with the hard earned money you've got. It's actually a good start if you're not an investor yet you're starting to make sure that your money is well spent.

And being an investor, it is being learnt in the process when you've come to understand that your money sleeping in the bank isn't going to multiply by just being there.

That's how you're going to be open in investing but, don't listen to all people that suggests specific platforms where to invest because as an inexperienced investor, you may fall to scam investments and that's why before investing you need to make your own analysis and research where it's good to invest.
2010  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where have you saved your bitcoin keys? (satoshi saved it in cd rom! allegedly) on: May 04, 2022, 11:03:44 PM
Probably really isn’t a good idea to make it public where your private keys are stored. This forum is full of highly intellectual people & some very desperate, dishonest people. I would strongly advise against it, any slip in your OPSEC could leave you vulnerable to theft.
I agree.

It made me remember those people that are too easy to tell if they own bitcoin in the public and online groups that they know the identities of each other. And they were attacked by those people that have seen their info personally.

But I think on this case, if nobody knows you personally, that won't be much of a threat.

added online\cloud backup. It seems some people are too lazy careless about security.
This shouldn't be done by anyone unless it's encrypted. It's likely the riskiest way of storing your PKs.
2011  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question for regular casino players. Will you use Lightning if available? on: May 04, 2022, 10:06:41 PM
Time will come if LN would really be that adopted or integrated if we could really see some demand to it but its true that altcoins had already patched up the main problems on which these main coins does have.
It will takes time or wont really come after all because we know that it has been a while into its existence but we arent really seeing any significant progress or updates whether it could really be
that applicable on different aspect or just still on test phase or developmental.
The time has come and it's happening with the exchanges first and there will be the time that it'll be on most casinos.

Yes, it will take time and there's no need for a hasty decision for most of the casinos that have been seeing the demand is quite good if they're going to add LN.

But it's a decision of theirs not to add it as well, it can come in a rush addition or it won't really come to many.
2012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STEPN on: May 04, 2022, 09:16:53 PM
It's unlikely a scam.

What made you think of it is probably because of the quick pump of its price. It's one of the coins that have launched recently and got the attention and all thanks to Binance.

If you plan to buy it right now, you shouldn't because it's currently at the peak of it.
2013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Look what I've found on: May 04, 2022, 07:53:20 PM
2) Lots of cryptos – a lot of stress.
This is so true.

That's why invest only into those cryptocurrencies that are reliable. Even if you don't have a lot in numbers, still, you've got a decent portfolio and you're not going to be problematic with it because they're all liquid and has a future.

7) Where to find most dumb and impatient people?
Telegram group of crypto currencies.
Well, another truth. That's why most scams are happening in crypto groups in the telegram channels because many are too gullible to believe of those signals and vip groups that they think are for real.
2014  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin staking a thing? on: May 03, 2022, 11:59:20 PM
If it's bitcoin, staking is another term for time deposit to them.

They earn interest and the interest you earn is little than what they've earned from the principal amount you've lent or deposited to them. There are platforms that have higher rates than the one on the example.

But do you trust these platforms to hold your bitcoins for you? Better not to stake and firm hold it on your possession.
2015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hard earned money - Busted in seconds on: May 03, 2022, 11:07:43 PM
I know that nothing we could say here could take back the events, to prevent it, nor to change it back. But it is good to hear that OP has learned a lesson from this experience, despite the negativity of it all.
Hopefully he really does.

And reading the responses here, I believe that forum users are also aware of such happenings and what must be abided in order to not be in this situation, which I hope that we may have the determination to always put into practice.
We've come to a certain point of our lives that we did the same thing that we've regret. And that will be correcting us with our further decisions not just in gambling but also in our aspect of our lives.

This is gambling and we're aware that it could really make us lose all of our money if you're not careful with what you do.
2016  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A single trading tool is not enough on: May 03, 2022, 10:33:23 PM
Trading is very risky and that much more if you trade without any basis of your analysis, you will end up losing for sure.
And so why these trading tools exist is because traders see this stuff as helpful to them. Let's say not all had function correctly and the results are somewhat disappointing but have to ask ourselves then if we know how to use this tool and been applied correctly and of course, nothing to expect that the results were good.
It's important to have any of those tools that will help you trade.

Someone who's new to trading having no idea that these exists will really have to take care of his emotion and losses because no one will help him recover those losses but only himself.

That's why it should be a norm for them to be a researcher and get to know those techniques and ideas that are coming from the experienced.
2017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What's the best/cheapest in-wallet exchange? on: May 03, 2022, 09:53:10 PM
I did not use the wallets you mentioned for swap. So I have no experience with these. However, I use Trustwallet and Metamask for swaps. Trustwallet seemed to me the easiest of the two. And the issue of cheap depends on the blockchain.
About being cheap.

Do not worry about the price if the return of it is about the security of your funds. That's why hardware wallets have its price but they're not that expensive at all.

It's better to have it if you've decided to be a long term holder so that you won't have any problems holding it for years to come. You just keep the seed phrase in a good place then the device will do good just for keeping it, based on what I've done for years.

Although it's quite the old version, still works good.
2018  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Advice for poor people who wanna get some crypto on: May 02, 2022, 11:22:01 PM
No one gets rich in a short time in crypto, crypto takes time and skills in trading. Talking about free ones is very difficult for us to find, unless there is link mining that can provide daily profits. But most of them don't pay their members anymore, you have to make a deposit first and wait for your profit. Everyone has their own problems, ranging from personal needs to family needs. You must have the capital to make a profit, and also you must have the trading skills to avoid losses. All you have to do to earn money, bounty is always a job for us to get financial freedom. You can also join a bounty campaign program to meet the needs of your family.
And also luck.

Those investors that were lucky to buy a token before it skyrocketed didn't really need to be skilled. And, it happens once in a blue moon when a token they have just bought takes off and pump.

Still, not a good thing to rely on luck by choosing random altcoins.
2019  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🦉 Owl.games 🦉 Web 3.0 Crypto Casino & Sportsbook - BTC-Metamask-Walletconnect on: May 02, 2022, 10:23:29 PM
And for the meantime, they have a discord invitation contest. To know more about the details, visit their Twitter post.

https://twitter.com/OWLDAOio/status/1519671195066634240
I read the tweet and the prizes are really tempting especially that there will be 100 winners and a chance to earn at least 100 usdo. That's awesome!
According to the tweet we have to invite at least 4 friends but it's not clear whether the first winners will be those who will invite more friends or will be chosen randomly and whether those friends have to create accounts on owl.games or just joining the discord channel is going to be enough. I hope someone will clarify this.
Based on the tweet, it has said the one to bring the most people. So for everyone, this is going to run until May 13. There's still a lot of time to follow the requirements.

I am glad the sportsbook is back as I also thought it would take much longer before it would come online again. Lets hope you are right that the promotions will come soon for the sportsbook as they need to do something to attract the players and to keep them motivated.
Everyone who's been following owl has been excited for its comeback with the sports book. I guess they're all notified with it and well, just keep yourselves updated through this thread and their other social media like Twitter which they're also active at most times.
2020  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's your take of NFTs? on: May 02, 2022, 09:42:26 PM
It couldn't disappear.

But the hype that it's getting right now will fade away. Just like every year, there's a new trend and they'll be lying low eventually all over the next years. Just like what we've seen before.

I still think that they'll exist after the hype is gone but the attention won't be the same anymore. We all knew it because from ICOs and IEOs there goes the NFTs and Metaverses, next is what?
It is already fading away, it will never be fully gone, it will be there, the difference is that we are going to see it do not so well but also not too bad neither. We just need to realize that crypto doesn't really go away forever, things in crypto just gets reshaped.

Like ICO used to be a thing, and then we have pre-sales right now as launchpads or pinksale or whatever which means you are still paying someone for their created token (never made sense to me). Things change, NFT will change, it is losing hype right now and it's closer to impossible to make money as a creator unless you do shady stuff, but it will come back with some innovation and it will be NFT+something and get attention again.
Right.

They'll remain but it's also going to be an impressive thing if an NFT project retains its community. I'm starting to see it with those top NFT in the market and they know how to take care of their investors.

But with the rest of them, we know where they're going. They won't be gone and they'll stay but even if they're willing to sell it at a point of time where it's too cheap, probably no one would be interested on it.
