2302  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as Escrow! Send coins to confirm! on: April 25, 2013, 04:20:30 AM
Looks like on the spreadsheet I am getting 99.9999 chips, and it says to round down. Should I send few more mBTC to clear that up ? 99 chips are hard to mount on board - even number is better - that's why I was trying to compute for 100 chips.
Nah, according to the OP 99.99999 is getting 100.
2303  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as Escrow! Send coins to confirm! on: April 25, 2013, 04:14:59 AM
I've cleared out a few non-responding pledgees.
2304  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as Escrow! Send coins to confirm! on: April 25, 2013, 04:13:27 AM
So, 8.04 btc for 100 chips right ? Please confirm and I will send now. It is complex to compute.
Should be 8.03 if you're a new addition to the list.
I see the tx and updated the list.

Not sure if I could apply for a world record since it's technically illegal in Canada to drive that much without sleep.
You get both a ticket and a certificate for your record.  Tongue
Anyhow, I don't think 30 hours is the max yet.
2307  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as Escrow! Send coins to confirm! on: April 25, 2013, 04:03:06 AM
Any room left?  I'm thinking about sending 6 more BTC if possible.

Yes there's room. We're going by BTC sent now. First come first serve. We will be removing pledges that have not sent BTC soon!

How many more btc needed ?
According to the spreadsheet, the pledges are already over the moon. I'm deleting those who has not paid yet if fresh funds come in though. We should be done by the end of this week.
2308  Other / Meta / Re: Attempted account hack? on: April 25, 2013, 04:02:00 AM
I've seen hacking attempts on my IRC handle too.

2311  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Going Escrow Rate? on: April 25, 2013, 03:24:51 AM
Someone is charging 1.5% to 2% on transactions below 5000 BTC. I'm thinking of offering 1% for larger ones. And then there are the "free" ones which you just donate or tip later.
This true. I do escrow myself, and I normally go the tipping route for below 50BTC tx's, and a 1.5-2.5% depending on the complexity for above 50BTC.
2312  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as Escrow! Send coins to confirm! on: April 25, 2013, 03:15:27 AM
You overpaid 0.035 for 760 chips in total, that'll be going towards the shipping (from OP to you).

I just can't win with this spreadsheet.  Tongue   It's difficult to calculate when the number of buyers is still in flux.  I'm sure it'll get sorted when we've got final numbers though.
Same here - OP should rework the spreadsheet.  Lips sealed
I'm spending a lot time fiddling with the sheet.

There's  Longest distance driven on one tank of fuel: Helen and John Taylor set world record
http://www.worldrecordacademy.com/transport/longest_distance_driven_on_one_tank_of_fuel_Helen_and_John_Taylor_set_world_record_112870.html
but I don't see a record for longest consecutive drive yet.

Hi, is this escrow service still opened?
If so how many chips/btc and what address is the escrow?

Thank you

It depends on the amount you want to buy, but amounts lower than 70~ should be alright. Check the OP for the address and take a look at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ah5wT_NTrV00dFhHY2NoOXpvSnVMbDVWUmFaSTVjTmc#gid=0 to figure out the chips/btc.

Hello John,

I would like to put in 7.6 BTC for an order. Is there still room? I can send tonight, just give me the address.

Thanks!
Aaron
Yes, if you get in real quick. There's someone who want to get all remaining spots by Friday though.

Payment sent, thank you.
Added - I'm starting to kick those unresponsive guys out now. If you want to come back, send the coins first and confirm here.

Well, I only have some change to spare, but I'll throw you what I mined since I sent in the last funds.

What is the exact cost per chip including fees? (so I don't mess up this time!)

1.0744 will net you 13 chips, so do the math. =) (0.08264615384615384615384615384615~ per chip)
Alternatively, just take a look at prior pledges in the spreadsheet and you'll get a pretty good idea of the amount.  Wink

I cant is do mathz...  Wink

Sending in 1.90087 for 23 chips

You overpaid a bit more for 179 chips in total - that can go towards the shipping (from OP to you) if you want.
