2321  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why the whales are inactive during Xmas holidays? on: December 26, 2018, 06:19:16 PM
This holiday season is not as wild as the one we had from last year so definitely we can relate it to the market being bearish right now that is why we aren't seeing any big trading volume as of lately. I mean last year we have seen the best jump for BTC's price but this year we have seen the complete opposite of it so obviously the whales won't be doing any big moves this December as what the volume suggest. One probability though is they might have finished stacking up their position during the drop around 3,000$-3,300$ that is why we have seen a lot of inactivity in the market as they are sitting it out.
2322  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-12-26]Blockchain Projects Among Italian Financial Institutions Growing, Re on: December 26, 2018, 05:01:12 PM
This is the first news I heard so far when it comes to the developments of the cryptocurrency industry in Italy. The way I see it is both the banks as well as the Italian government are preparing for the adoption of both the blockchain technology as well as cryptocurrencies. If this is happening right now they might have a preliminary legal framework for their regulation and they are basing their preparation on it as it looks like DLT is the one they are focusing on as even the government is looking to absorb the technology in their system.
2323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do they still give btc loans on: December 26, 2018, 03:34:46 PM
~snip~
I'm pretty sure he wants a loan in btc to have the option on being a prick and not pay it back. Hence the new account and immediately looking for a loan by unconventional standards and methods.
Let us not judge him to quickly we don't even know his real intentions are for the loan, I mean he is really just looking for a website/service after all. He is not asking for any kind of loopholes on how he can get away from not paying back the money he borrowed and he is also not asking for a loan from anyone around here in the forum so I don't get why you are blaming him from posting this valid query. Is it because of his rank that makes him suspicious on why he is asking out for a loan?
2324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do they still give btc loans on: December 26, 2018, 02:39:20 PM
There is this German bank called Bitbond that allows international loans which the mode of transfer is though a Bitcoin payment. I never acquired their services but I discovered this to be a trustworthy one because I discovered this when I was reading an article in Reuters and it is pretty innovative that a bank service such as this one exist and besides Reuters it is recognized by Forbes, NASDAQ, and Bloomberg so I think you can be comfortable asking for a loan from them. Just remember that they are still a bank and the standard loan process as well as KYC still applies. You can check their guide for the Bitcoin loan here.
2325  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: where can i buy bitcoin with credit card on: December 25, 2018, 07:54:26 PM
It would help a lot if you provided your location as some local wallet providers have credit card purchases available in-app. So if you mind telling us you can just Google search it yourself if your country has a local wallet provider because even though Coinbase has a credit card option for purchasing they only offer it to certain countries but if your country is part of it then just go with Coinbase as their transactions are always fast and reliable.
2326  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: December 25, 2018, 06:55:27 PM
First off: Your case looks strange, and I'd contact support through email or reach out to @davcl or @Rine in the discord channel to take a look at the issue.

Secondly: Do not talk to "game-protect", he will do nothing to help you.
^This is the best advice you would ever get because as of right now the only ones who can help you is FortuneJack itsel and its support team. Asking assistance from game-protect won't really help you solve your case as their "legal service" isn't really a thing they don't even mention even one name of a lawyer representing their team on their official website so I wouldn't believe what they are saying right now.
2327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Looking for a working wallet on an older android on: December 25, 2018, 06:04:12 PM
Finding and installing an older version of a wallet app is really not a recommended thing to do and they usually remove their availability once the updated version arrives. I wouldn't personally be downloading .apk files not coming from the Google Playstore itself not unless I know that I will be downloading the .apk file in an official website of the wallet itself. Installing wallet apps classified as an unknown source by Android is really a dangerous thing to do as you don't know if the wallet is compromised or not. If I were you I would just buy a cheap but capable phone for the latest apps so I wouldn't be worried about anything being stolen from my wallet. For me the risk isn't really worth it especially if you will be holding large quantities of cryptocurrencies in your Galaxy S2
2328  Economy / Economics / Re: Ron Paul: All Bubbles Must Pop, the Sooner the Better on: December 25, 2018, 04:46:17 PM
Why are members talking about Bitcoin here? When Ron Paul is talking about a different matter not directly related to Bitcon. They are generally talking about how the Feds are creating an "artificial boom" on assets through their centralized power especially by interest rates leaving people who are late in joining in at a loss. Ron Paul is only concerned on how they can change how the Federal Reserve works and how they can limit their manipulation to the markets so I wonder why people are assuming that Bitcoin is the "bubble" they are talking about here?
2329  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Will the legalization of cryptocurrency helps to come out of the global economic on: December 25, 2018, 03:21:09 PM
If legalization == cryptocurrency as sound money (can be used for payment/exchange) then it might help.
Even if the country only allows cryptocurrencies to be traded in their county I still think it will help boost their economy, the taxes they will receive still will be the same and crypto earners can still use their earnings by converting it back to fiat. So what it means is even if they don't use cryptocurrencies as a mode of payment directly their is still another way around on how they can pay using their crypto earnings.

Of course the biggest problem with this kind of regulation is for the ICO industry particularly the ones who are producing Utility tokens as their tokens won't be of any kind of use besides trading them in the local market. Depending how big their economy are we really don't know the opportunity loss of each country will be having if they only allowed cryptocurrencies to be traded in their coutry.
2330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 232: Jones vs Gustafsson 2 Prediction and Info Thread on: December 25, 2018, 01:40:49 PM
I want to see Jones in the heavies after this.
If he is in the heavyweight division he will be snatching up again the belt away from Daniel Cormier's waist again. No matter what division it is Jon Jones will still outclass Cormier in the Octagon his height and reach is always a disadvantage when it comes to facing a giant like Jon Jones not to mention that Jones' fighting style is always putting his opponent at a safe distance that is why Cormier hasn't been able to land some big strikes to him up until now.
2331  Other / Meta / Re: Top 20 members with Post to Merit Ratio. on: December 24, 2018, 07:55:59 PM
Ah it feels like this Merit system stoped me on sr.Member forever as noone want give metis so i dont understand how to get metits for Hero member as already have more than 600 Activity but only 256 meits for this moment so dont imagine how to get more 250 merits its realy impossible for me at this moment.
Clearly you need to stop wondering why you aren't receiving as much merits as other members do as you don't even know how to properly use the English grammar and its punctuation marks. The 5 out of the 6 merits you received shows that you received it from trading merits with vhns222, the 2 posts you received 5 merits from him undoubtedly aren't worth 5 merits from anyone with a right mind.

Merited Post # 1 (2 Merits)
Both have potential but there is 1 BTC where you can invest and many many alts so if you want choose alt, then do your best, find good one, not shitcoin.

Merited Post # 2 (3 Merits)
Dont Hodl everything you have but some of them which are usable but  you are if you needt money so much and can do it then HODL many sell as there is no way.

So far I have seen your other post and you have been consistent with your grammar mistakes so you really need to stop complaining that your activity is bigger than your merits as it's is awarded to quality not the duration of your membership here.

2332  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-12-24]Bitcoin Mining Difficulty has Decreased by 7%, Traders are Leaving C on: December 24, 2018, 06:00:52 PM
It seems like the decrease in mining difficulty does not compensate to the current price that Bitcoin have that is why it is still not appealing for miners to re-open their mining operations again. The decrease in the level of mining difficulty started in October 17, back then Bitcoin was still priced around 6,600$-6,700$. So really Bitcoin really has a long way to go before it starts to be attractive again for miners starting up their rigs back, I don't know the exact BTC price for that but it is surely not this one.
2333  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Showhand - SCAM - FAKE TEAM - Stealing people's identity on: December 23, 2018, 07:40:39 PM
Yes, we have done in the past. And after a few reports, a moderator contacted us and said that unfortunately scams are not moderated! So, us reporting to a moderator about a scam would not do any good. DT can tag them, and a moderator can delete some duplicate threads for what we have seen so far. But still, the forum admins need to do more about scams, such as BAN the scammers and lock their thread once proved.  In this interview we mentioned about that lack of moderation.
https://medium.com/talkbitcointalk/as-a-crypto-community-we-have-a-responsibility-to-protect-its-moral-foundation-a378ece19a29
I have to agree with you but unfortunately rule changes that you are looking for are not easy to be applied since the forum admins are also busy in other matters and I haven't seen any rule/forum change since the merit system was introduced particularly when the 1 merit requirement for Jr. Members was set. What do need to happen is to rely heavily on DT members tagging accounts related to ICO scams in order to prevent as much damage as possible, also what you are doing on posting warnings on their ANN thread is a good enough way to let other members know that they are a scam. Good Job man. Keep it up!!!!
2334  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Showhand - SCAM - FAKE TEAM - Stealing people's identity on: December 23, 2018, 07:15:40 PM
There are so many threads created by this scammer. Maybe a moderator should delete/suspend some of them and also give the poster a red tag.
We contacted a few more "team member" and we are waiting for an answer. But at this point, we already got two replies saying they are not part of the team. It is an obvious scam.
You are going up to the next level here on spotting ICO scams in the forum, you have done ways I never thought I'll do myself when it comes to checking whether or not an ICO is a scam. The good thing about this one is me and the other members here are also learning on how to spot scams in other methods. BTW Have you also tried reporting the thread to a moderator using the "report to moderator" function? I know they can do some action ones they know that the ANN thread is from a scamcoin.
2335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Bitcoin Millionaire arrested on: December 23, 2018, 06:41:48 PM
What he may think as charity or promotion can really mess up a lot people in that place especially when things starts to heat up in the area. IMHO I don't think he should be arrested for such act as his only idea for giving away the money is for promotional purposes only and he didn't intended to ignite violence in the area. Pretty sure his lawyer and the government can talk it out as they don't have a strong case against on what they are trying to insinuate so far there are no reports of injuries or violence related to the event.
2336  Economy / Speculation / Re: The bear period (December 17, 2017 - December 17, 2018) on: December 23, 2018, 04:04:30 PM
This will be true only if we are out of the bear market right now which isn't the case. Bitcoin rising right now does not mean we are out of the bear market yet, sure we are seeing upward movements towards it but it doesn't mean we are in a bull market and BTC had a reversal. During my technical analysis I got my hopes up when I saw it broke down the downtrend channel when it went back up above 3990$+ on its 4 hour chart but my hopes was cut short because as of right now BTC went back down again below 4,000$ which is back to the downtrend channel. Also for people who are observing the 4 hour chart you will see that the inverse h&s was forming before BTC now that it is back to the downtrend channel the pattern would be less likely to happen.
2337  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beginners beware, another scam email involving binance. on: December 23, 2018, 01:55:58 PM
For newbies reading this post it is an important indicator to know whether the email is a scam or not when the website itself is showing or not showing the announcement (investment opportunity) itself. An investment opportunity like this one won't be left unannounced by their main website itself or if they do have an official blog site they should at least announced it through there. Just remember that only scams and phishing sites would only approach you through email as their ability to scam you is only through a very convincing email.
2338  Economy / Economics / Re: Just sharing what I've learned about cryptocurrency businesses in Gibraltar on: December 23, 2018, 12:32:17 PM
Like I have said before small countries that has nothing to lose are getting it big when it comes to having a very welcoming regulation to cryptocurrencies. Belarus, Malta, Cyprus, Marshall Islands and many other small countries are seeing cryptocurrencies as a way to boost their economy may it be foreign investments or their own cryptocurrency. Unlike top GDP countries they cannot make a bold and fast move when it comes to their cryptocurrency regulation as one wrong move can affect their economy drastically.
2339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is growing at nonstop rates in my country on: December 20, 2018, 07:57:38 PM
Your country is a lot different than mine but the same can be said that the gambling industry is still growing in my country, Philippines. Even though in my country where it is prohibited by law to advertise casinos they still manage to attract a lot of people not only the ones residing in the country but even foreigners who's only purpose in visiting the country is to gamble. From a wide variety of addicting games such as slot machines, baccarat, and poker tables as well as free drinks and food there is no wonder that it even attracts people in the middle class and below.

It may had flourish due to the help of the government as well, what I have seen lately is a lot of foreign companies are trying to build up their own casino/hotel in the country which are located not only near in our airports but also in our tourist spots. They have actually encouraged this in order to attract foreign investment in the country where the ownership is always split 60/40 where 60% is the stake of their local partner.
2340  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Voucher redemption terms and conditions need advice on: December 20, 2018, 07:13:16 PM
i did receive 0 funds in my wallet and when i pmed support, after 4 days  they just said there was an issue,  heres a new code we ask u kindly to use it
Well now you really have to address that issue and say that you wanted the previous amount that was offered by the original voucher also ask why they have given you a new one with a less attractive amount compared to the first one. Now I am beginning to suspect if they are purposely doing this process to other customers when prices suddenly shift and make their voucher not favorable on your part, but that is for another topic and so far I haven't seen any related issues on the internet, so it is important to see how your situation goes.
