1441  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How to promote my privacy-related project ? on: September 09, 2019, 12:29:47 PM
TryNinja and Kakmakr are right in leading you on a specific field or group of people since the service you will be providing will be for a small target market. Promoting it let say on AdSense where it promotes to a wide variety of people (situated in different areas) wouldn't make sense, it wouldn't easily translate from views to sales since you are like shooting in the dark here. Start on a more specific group where you can find serious clients like what ICOs are doing in Bitcointalk where they are creating ANN threads for their altcoin.
1442  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Halving Countdown and Other Data on: September 08, 2019, 08:02:01 PM
If prices continues to jump wildly in the market or in short still be volatile now then the supply changes in the next halving would be irrelevant now. Bitcoin might not be as scarce as we think since we all know Bitcoin can be bought not it's entirety of 1 BTC people can have it on small denominations in satoshis which are also valuable. But back to my main point is with big changes like this and still we always re-visit prices back when we are mining 3600 BTCs per day we all know that supply isn't really the one affecting the price movements but the market timing itself. So if the next halving will make Bitcoin scarcer then it's a plus on our side but we don't really need to expect that this will be the automatic outcome.
1443  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [Koro-Koro] mga magaganap sa taong 2019-2020 on: September 08, 2019, 07:25:24 PM
Sa mga balita about sa BAKKT and ETFs already have died down, any further developments whether it is good or bad won't affect the prices of Bitcoin tremendously.
1444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Akon talks about bitcoin and his own coin on: September 08, 2019, 06:26:02 PM
For people looking at this the bad way Akon as of the present is not known for his music anymore but for the charity and generosity he is giving towards Africa. One of his recent projects is he is planning to give electricity to 600 million Africans for their homes, and if "Akoin" is part of his plans to raise up funds and speed up the process then I think we need some time to think it into our considerations, unlike other celebrities or sports celebs like Pacquiao the crypotocurrency of Akon is planning to make has a point in helping and not about making himself much richer. With a good background on helping the poor in that continent and still has the desire to help again I think we shouldn't discredit him just because he is using his popularity to create his own cryptocurrency, I mean he's not like Zuckerberg creating a new crypto for profit after all.
1445  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: HavEther - SCAM - Plagiarized whitepaper on: September 08, 2019, 05:36:03 PM
Supported the flag and given a negative feedback as well. Although they aren't active in the forum anymore this will serve as a precautionary measure for people once they plan to re-enter the forum. Even their first attempt to enter the forum you will notice that they don't really have a big audience here.
1446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Spence Jr vs Porter on: September 05, 2019, 08:07:47 PM
Is this really the sweepstakes for both the boxers to face Manny Pacquiao? I haven't heard any news about it that the winner will have a mandatory fight against Pacquiao especially they are holding different world titles as of the moment. But if this what makes another Pacquiao fight happen then maybe seeing Pacman facing against his former sparring partner, Shawn Porter, would be a good feeling. It would be like a student against a master match although they fight differently I would like to see how the Porter will face against his former training partner and see who will win the match.
1447  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-09-05] Fewer People Are Sending Bitcoin to Largest Crypto Exchanges on: September 05, 2019, 06:56:53 PM
It's just the timing of the news on where the current market situation is now. Obviously if the market lacks activity in terms of price jumps then can't expect new people pouring in more money in the crypto market. It's like you are asking people to put more money on a market where it's future is still uncertain as of the moment. The article itself didn't gave any explanation why this is happening and went ahead with their point without explaining why it is happening. Such as shame to see that even Bloomberg is not telling all sides of the story in their news. For newbies reading this don't lose your hope because we are just in a market phase that lacks action as a result of big price movements we had earlier in this year.
1448  Other / Meta / Re: ANN threads shouldn't be self-moderated on: September 05, 2019, 06:19:43 PM
From what I know LoyceV also have reported that they are making their ANN threads self-moderated because they also delete the post bumps being createdby them or bump services.
I haven't seen that "in the wild". It would be very obvious since theymos added a deleted-post-counter on top.

If I would create an ANN-thread, I would want it to be self-moderated to delete spam. One solution would be to only allow users with more than (say) 300 good reports to create self-moderated threads, but that goes against the forum's mission to be as free as possible.

My bad, I was actually referring to this topic you have posted a while back and maybe the point that I have missed is that the post being deleted are coming from the posters itself and not the OP deleting it manually because their ANN threads are self-moderated.  To be honest I myself don't see any workaround when it comes to the option of having self-moderated topics without affecting all parties, maybe if we add in a strike system for the user abusing their self-moderated topics then we can actually remove the user's right to use it entirely.
1449  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Buying Altcoin with BTC, Capital Loss Every Single Time? on: September 05, 2019, 04:17:48 PM
Your life would be easier if you treated Bitcoin as a dollar amount and whatever is left from the Bitcoin you bought is the capital gain you have (if any). But if we are talking about a loss here than it would be easier since nothing will be left in your Bitcoin and the Lisk you will buy in this scenario would be less than what you expected from the first time.
1450  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin bearish or bullish on: September 05, 2019, 12:15:57 PM
Neither, while we are experiencing a short-term rally at the moment it doesn't mean a reversal happened from where we are now Bitcoin is still down 21% from its recent high which is around 13,845$. We are in fact is still in a consolidating stage which is better compared to when we are consolidating in the 3k to 4k level. Also if you look at the price increases we are having now you will see that the trading volume is lagging behind meaning the buyers are not supporting the current price increase now, I don't expect this rally to continue for far longer not unless it picks up pace with a sudden rise in volume.
1451  Other / Meta / Re: ANN threads shouldn't be self-moderated on: September 05, 2019, 11:23:44 AM
abusing self-moderation to censor and/or cover their scammy/shady projects
This snippet above is the only problem I can see with self-moderated ANN threads, and I have no doubt whatsoever that some projects will do this.  On the other hand, if you've ever seen one of these ANN threads you'll realize that about 95% of the posts there should be deleted.

The only question I have is whether the shitposts are being paid for by the project in order to bump the thread.  If that's the case, then there's no reason to have a self-moderated thread, because then you know damn well that the OP isn't going to delete anything except for posts he doesn't like.  I have a sneaking suspicion that most ANN thread starters love the bumping garbage posts.

From what I know LoyceV also have reported that they are making their ANN threads self-moderated because they also delete the post bumps being createdby them or bump services. I know a lot of newbies got nuked back then but I don't know if this kind of tactics still continues now. So really giving them a self-moderated topic as an option for their threads is a lot of advantage for them. The only problem here is removing the self-moderated threads would also affect projects who are always under the attack from members trying to damage their reputation.
1452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 04, 2019, 08:36:30 PM
Inter in 2nd might not be a sure thing yet, remember that Napoli is also a good team and they only lost by one goal against Juventus in their last game. While Inter's two wins are just against Lecce and Cagliari whom they only got away with 1 goal. It still early in the season and most of the contending teams in the top spot haven't faced each other yet. I wouldn't place my bets yet on who will take the 2nd place but definitely it would either be Napoli or Inter since both teams have a European class line up and both of their coaches are world class, it would even be fun to see one of them snatch the first place from Juventus.

Juventus, inter, napoli are champions' favorites.
It's just that we are waiting for other teams to surprise us this season. So it really can not be fully predicted, all still have the chance to win Serie A. For example, Torino, they already get 6 points from their 3 matches. It really proves that the other team can surprise every game.

It would be nice to see Serie A having teams have a close finish with the table, unlike what we often see where Juventus would just take home the title and win with a 10-20 point difference against the 2nd. Last season Napoli came close at 11 points.  But what would be better to see is Italian teams competing better in the Champions League and in Europa League I'm growing tired seeing our favorite Italian teams getting owned by teams no even part of the EPL or La Liga it's just show that the level of competition is entirely different compared to when they are just playing in Serie A that is why I really got upset seeing Juventus lose to Ajax in the Quarter-finals. Let's hope that we are well represented this upcoming 2019-2020 Champions League.
1453  Economy / Reputation / Re: ★ BQT & IOU - Committed Scam with bounty participants ★ on: September 04, 2019, 07:24:10 PM
I did discussed with Eddie M (the Edward) regarding the payments. they are working on it. and soon they'll pay bounties.

Can you give an exact date or a projected date on how “soon” it will be so that the bountry participants may have a time table on when they can expect to receive their payments? I think when the 11 months have lapsed after the ICO listing you should at least give the unpaid bounty participants some kind of assurance on the promised payment and not only tell them that they will receive it “soon”, because saying it vaguely like that won't really give them a peace of mind.

I would request every participants to keep patience about their bounty payment. I am trying my best to find a proper solution as soon as possible. Getting delay payments is much better than getting nothing IMO.

Patience is really the key for the participants when it comes to delayed payments but we are talking about almost a year of promise that a payment will happen "soon" and I don't think it's good enough to see that after 11 months of waiting you will only receive an update that they are "working on it" without really going into detail whatsoever. I'll give a thumbs up that aTriz have updated the current situation but if that "soon" didn't happen at all then it is really all for nothing.
1454  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Burger King Accept Bitcoin on Germany [Expecting soon Nationwide] on: September 04, 2019, 04:19:24 PM
Let's not expect Burger King Philippines on implementing this anytime soon. If Jollibee makes a move on crypto lets expect that Burger King will also be affected.
1455  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to receive a donation in bitcoins? on: September 04, 2019, 01:57:38 PM
Sorry to break it to you but most people on this forum are terribly greedy.  Crypto usually attracts the type of guys that don't like to share wealth, usually the libertarian types that thing everyone rich is self made and actually did it through hard work, lol.

The members here in the forum aren't greedy at all. We are at least skeptical in these kinds of situation where someone online is asking for our compassion to help him with his financial needs the only problem is there is no part of his post the proves he is in a bad situation all we see are words but no evidence that he needs financial help from us. The way I see it is he is just trying to scam people who are weak against this acts of desperation of help. You can't really blame them for keeping there money especially in this kind of situation where until is still unbelievable.

1457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 03, 2019, 08:53:48 PM
Anyway, after this market window, I think the order of favorites will be the following.

Juventus>Inter>Napoli.
Finally! A third league title contender appears!

It's been ages since we had another team aside from the usual two to [at least] put up a decent fight against the Vecchia Signora...Btw, it's been only a few games but, i'll say it right now, Inter will finish 2nd. Conte is just too good, and once Godin takes charge of the defence, they'll have a solid squad in every inch of the pitch.

Inter in 2nd might not be a sure thing yet, remember that Napoli is also a good team and they only lost by one goal against Juventus in their last game. 1458  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I earn $1 worth of bitcoin everyday? Please help! on: September 03, 2019, 08:09:30 PM
Maybe you can try steemit?
It is a platform  where you can post, and if people like your post you will earn some Steem. You can trade those steem tokens for BTC.

Earning money is hard everywhere. You will not be able to earn 1 USD per day without work.

That's if he is even in the habit of writing posts/articles on his own, even if he is a talented writer it's really hard to get notice in Steemit if you really aren't part of what they call a "circle jerk". I've followed a lot of good writers there but they still don't earn anything because they lack followers or supporters. For the OP other than faucets there is really no "free" way to earn cryptocurrencies anymore if you want to earn them you must work for it may it be from a freelance job (signature/bounty campaigns included) in exchange of your talent or like what bitmover said and try out your luck in websites that pays your content which can be rewarding if you have a good following behind you.
1459  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How To Read Crypto Charts on: September 03, 2019, 06:07:08 PM
You should have dig in deeper and create an own section for trading volume since it works well with a lot of indicators as well as the price movement. For me aside from a candlestick a newbie's first indicator should be trading volume since all you need is a candlestick and the traded volume to get a general sense on whether or not an asset is bullish. It's the most basic indicator out there and the most easiest to learn for newbies. Your article just jumped right in on the topic of MACD without even explaining anything about moving averages and EMAs. The article is good but in order for then to learn properly you must teach them step by step.
1460  Economy / Economics / Re: Indian Economy rising at slowest pace - Should they consider Crypto-currency? on: September 03, 2019, 04:16:01 PM
India's current economic situation is no way similar compared to Malta, Gibraltar, or Bermuda to see that the crypto industry have an immediate effect in their economy. For one they are a nation of more than a billion people one industry that cannot even touch a third of those citizens won't have an immediate affect in the economy. Remember that bigger countries are risking a lot more when they are rushing their regulation when it comes to the crypto industry because they have more to lose rather than gain.
