1421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How Bitcoin transactions work and what are their types? on: September 12, 2019, 08:44:00 PM
I do have to agree with ETFbitcoin here you must simplify it further since even with the infographics provided the topic got a little deeper for newbies to understand each type of transactions Bitcoin have. Another suggestion is adding another topic about "Off-chain" transactions which newbies also needs to understand, not every method of sending/receiving cryptocurrencies requires the use of Blockchain some 3rd party wallet providers like Coinbase offers up off-chain transactions for their users which gives them the ability to send Bitcoin to another Coinbase user instantly and freely. Newbies needs to learn this method as well if they are trying to avoid network fees at all.
1422  Other / Meta / Re: Bumping changes on some boards on: September 12, 2019, 06:51:19 PM
~snip~
I would be more happy if bump scores or any kind of proof that you bump a topic would remain private indefinitely since people will just take advantage of it just like whaf they did with the merit system. And you are right allowing a public data on this kind of system would just give members a chance to sell it as some kind of service just like what some other redditors are doing now on selling their upvotes.
This works both way: even without showing who bumped a topic, someone could still sell a bumping service. For example, someone could say: "Pay me $10 now and you'll see the topic bumped within 2 minutes". That would be enough evidence for the buyer to know the seller can deliver, while there's no evidence for spam-hunters to identify which accounts are being used.
Like what theymos said there is no guarantee that the topic will move up to the top spot when a user bumps their topic since it only affects the bump score, so if a bump seller just bumps a thread and it doesn't move up then there is no proof that a bump really happened.

If bumps would be public, it would at least be obvious which accounts are used, and unlike before these changes, bump services can no longer use worthless Newbie accounts. Once caught, they stand to lose their limited supply of accounts that earned Merit.

This would be the main benefit if the bump score became public in these sections, but how do we suppose to catch them? What can convince a DT member if a user just bumps a thread without any evidence that a sale even happened? Members right now doing illicit activities are also selling their merit sales outside the forum already and its already hard on catching them because of it. Now the ones who are selling merits will also have another mode of earning ones they try to monetize bumping as a service.
1423  Other / Meta / Re: Bumping changes on some boards on: September 12, 2019, 03:40:16 PM
For now, I am intentionally not making it public who bumped each topic, since that way you can't prove that you bumped anything, and this may prevent people from selling their bumps as easily. I don't particularly object to making the approximate bump scores or bump powers public, but I didn't do this yet.

1424  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase and my issue with centralized services (banks) on: September 12, 2019, 03:00:37 PM
From the latest news I am seeing and how it is shaping up for UK I think it's not Barclays own decision on why they cut ties with Coinbase. We are already seeing a lot of news about how cryptocurrencies will have a tight regulation after the Brexit and this is just Barclays going up clean hear. I really don't see banks being greedy here or simply seeing crypto as a threat in this situation but they are just playing it safe before they get tied up on a loose end.

Yes. As much as possible talaga, mas better ung mas less people ang may alam. May tita rin akong ganyan, kaya lesson learned. Kaya for now, pag may magtanong man sakin about bitcoin, sasagutin ko.

1426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: September 11, 2019, 09:02:00 PM
I guessed we have to blame the NBA teams for USA's defeat against France. Only sending two notable players for their team which is Kemba Walker and Donnovan Mitchell won't be enough against Rudy Gobert and Evan Fournier. I know they fought toe-to-toe against this much and only the 4th quarter was the determining factor but that was enough for France to get the job done. Now France has a chance to take home another World Cup trophy, they already proven that they are a dominant team in Football now they can prove that they have a fantastic basketball team as well. This would have a different outcome if the USA only sent their best players but its their mistake thinking that what they have is enough.
1427  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How to find a team for a project? on: September 11, 2019, 07:56:49 PM
Thanks for all the tips and responses. It helped me a lot!  Smiley
I'm going to do some research now on LinkedIN and the forum. In addition, the idea is a service for other companies in the crypto space. The target is to make the crypto space a little safer for new people.

I understand that a project team must be a group of people willing to work for the long term. how are you going to deal with the different nationalities and the fact that you do not personally know these internet people that you will be hiring? How will you know that these people on the internet are not scammers or people with a dark past? and there is the question of the time zone vs the work schedule that you will give them. many projects fall because they have a team made just like you are trying to do. find people from your country to be members of your team

Unfortunately this is true, even if you have a world talent in your team if you aren't organized properly your project will just turn to dust. I have seen a lot of projects here in the forum failed because of the lack of communication to one another some even got a red tag from delayed payments, hiring a plagiarizer for their whitepaper, and even posting the wrong picture for their team member which would be a bad start for your project. So honestly speaking if you want your project to work you must work with someones preferably who is near you and has the same available time as the rest of your team. Being an organized group is the key here if you want your project to run smoothly.

1429  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dan Pena - Bitcoin will go down to zero !!! on: September 11, 2019, 04:39:52 PM
Lets just play what ifs for a second here. Anyone other than by the name of Kim Jong-un would not make me less confident on holding my cryptocurrencies. Assuming that Kim Jong-un is Satoshi Nakamoto, which I doubt he is, then I think BTC's days will be over since several countries will ban it immediately since it has now been connected to NoKor's supreme leader. I strongly see that the panic selling will start as soon as one notable countries like Japan or South Korea bans it.
1430  Economy / Economics / Re: Fed and Europe and Even Australia did rate cut but btc Still low on: September 11, 2019, 03:44:37 PM
Like what others have said there's no direct correlation between interest rates (whether it increases or decreases) on Bitcoin prices. I know it's expected that people are willing to spend more since their disposable income have increased but it doesn't mean that the money will be going all to the crypto market let alone buy Bitcoin from it. Disposable income can be spent in multiple ways not only throught investment so even the stock market cannot show an immediate effect when interest rates are down.
1431  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Extracting stable positive return from high-volatile asset.HF recipe made simple on: September 11, 2019, 01:14:57 PM
I sort of get the point of rebalancing the allocation of cash to crypto and vice versa but its just really a more comiplicated version of the budget rule we have which is the 50-30-20 rule the only difference is we try to balance out the investment part of the rule. A 50-50 ratio for trading and/or investing will work if you are trying to profit out everytime and you will just rebalance it later but I wouldn't always stick to a rebalancing method but try to take another opportunity if there is any. This will assure you that you still have capital as well as position just in case you have other plans for a trade.
1432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Money is Dirty Money on: September 11, 2019, 10:45:46 AM
That's what you get if you mix cultures, religions, and politics as well as media you will will basically get a lot of different opinions on one kind of matter depending on what kind of belief they grow up in. This is how like alcohol started bad for the United States but it ended up being legal when time passes, now they have marijuana to considere being legal in the whole nation not only the states. What I'm trying to say is as long as the people have an open mind and you don't let the beliefs you have grew up with cloud your judgement your first impressions would change for the better.
1433  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-09-03] Burger King Starts Accepting Bitcoin for Online Orders in Germany on: September 11, 2019, 09:48:22 AM
I just hope burger king won't change its mind later on because it's not the first international company to accept BTC only to reverse  its decision later.

It may be considered an “international company” but the operations more particularly their franchise are obtained locally by another local domestic corporation. That's why you will only see Burger King in Germany that accepts Bitcoin and no other countries have it, it's more of a local decision by the partnered domestic company rather than an international move unlike Steam in which their decision to accept BTC affects all customers across the world because it is only ran on one client. So if you are seeing fastfood related companies accept cryptos don't expect all branches will be accepting crpyptos as well.
1434  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Crypto, Cash and Drugs: Crypto Use Grows as Drug Trade Digitalizes on: September 10, 2019, 03:38:32 PM
It is simple, digital related drug transactions are using cryptocurrency while physical and actual drug related transactions uses fiat currency. Sometimes statistics doesn't show the full story it's really where you are looking at and it is really obvious if we are talking about online related drug transactions the most prefered payment will be cryptocurrencies as like cash you won't be linked to any of your credit cards, Paypal accounts, or you won't even need to have a fake identity in Western Union. They are making it look like crypto is a tool for the illicit activity which isn't.
1435  Other / Meta / Re: Topics that should be discussed on "Off-topic" board. on: September 10, 2019, 02:27:14 PM
The way I see the off-topic section for the forum is its a catch-all for topics that failed to relate on the main sections it has been first posted. It's like a dumping ground for a diverse variety of topics that cannot be put/moved on other sections. So if we even put a certain category for the Off-topic section then these topics would be deleted right away and having a more specific category wouldn't make the off-topic section “off-topic” at all.
1436  Economy / Speculation / Re: How to predict Bit coin price. on: September 09, 2019, 07:30:12 PM
I second what extasie has to say on trading on news. Never ever base your trade from news coming out from any sources even the big news media ones as your prediction is as good as guessing. For one you don't even know what is the maginitude of the news is yet on how it will afffect the marker or if it will even affect it somehow in the first place. Not even the media sources know where it will gp that is why you will only see news about how they link certain news after the price movement already happened.
1437  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's the biggest taboo about exchanges no one ever talks about? on: September 09, 2019, 06:37:52 PM
Maybe newbies need to learn as well about IEO listings from crypto exchanges because even the not-so shady ones are also doing it. The first time I saw IEOs it was given a good expression from the members of the community as you will find it reliable that the exchanges will be offering the cryptocurrency to you this comes with the background checks that the ICO is legit and gives confidence to the prospective buyers that they will gain from it because they are directly buying from an exchange. It was good at first but now you'll see some exchanges take advantage of it that even shitty ICOs are now being listed in IEOs. I see that this exchanges also have a big position in these IEOs that is why they are participating in pump and dumps as well, it's either that or they have a big portion of the IEO's sale.
1438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 09, 2019, 06:00:06 PM
~snip~

Milan's big deals aren't too exposed to the media. Which resulted in many not knowing this. But at least they have done their best, so far Ac Milan have only been able to rank 13th out of their 2 matches. This was indeed an initial problem, I also hope that their transfer is not in vain and that each player contributes a lot to the club.

Well that's the only point of this season and that is to rebuild and plan ahead. Ever since they got screwed up by FIFA and banned them in Europa league there only focus now is to win games in Serie A. The Elliot Management will hopefully do their best as early as the next transfer window to get more players at the same time sell some unwanted ones. Also their new manager needs to improve and hopefully be the next Max Allegri for the team. As a Milan fan I'm trusting the process they are undergoing right now, I already like the Theo Hernandez and Rafael Leao signings they have done so far, not to mention they have snagged Bennacer as well.

Hello,

All those accounts you mentioned :  paloder, grim007, grim07, Omegasun, Mintcondition, Casabrandy, IKZIR31... I don't know them...
But I admit I own Daisy14 which I used for campaigns but never for shady work.

Read through ALL my posts, you won't find anything shady there... honestly.

Back then I didn't know it's offensive to do different campaigns but I didn't multiple-register in the same campaign.
My posts can prove that.

Anyway I left for a while. I didn't know there was a negative trust on Goms so it came as a surprise.

Anyway have a nice day. I don't want to sound troublesome.
Oh please we heard that alibi several times already. You would be a fool to believe that you can convince a DT member on you admitting only to one alt account when several accounts connected to you only used one to two addresses or telegram accounts. Your reason about not knowing the rules also don't work because it's not our fault you aren't reading them. If you broke a rule unknowingly you still broke it and it's not on us.
1440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 09, 2019, 02:30:34 PM
It has been 7 days since this move was made official but I still think that this is one of the most notable moves for Serie A particularly A.C. Milan. Milan have managed to swoop a good deal bringing Ante Rebic for a 2 year loan with an option to buy at the end for 25 million Euros. I think that this deal was made possible as they just swap loaned players as Eintracht Frankfurt also received Andre Silva from Milan via loan without any option to buy. Now Milan has a young proven forward that has World Cup finals experience, I just hope they take full advantage of the 2 year loan to see if Rebic is a good fit for Milan.
