1401  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: The DigiPiglet Journey on: September 18, 2019, 06:28:08 PM
~snip~

You're right with your assessment, but you always have that risk in a trust chain. The reason we're going through the effort of sending it from person to person is that we want people to hold this thing in their hands, share it, show it to friends and anyone that's interested. We're not about being the most efficient charity out there, just completely different.

So are you just doing this solely because of marketing or you want to give the donor a firsthand experience on how he can be part of the charity? Either way this is really risky, I haven't even mentioned anything about the risk on how it could have problems with your courier (from delays and damages to theft) and I think eternalgloom is currently experiencing it now with the delay in shipment. At least just make the piggy empty and don't store the wallet's private keys inside of it, it removes the temptation for the donors on stealing it and there is really no point on adding it when already receiving the DigiPiglet is something they need to look forward for.
1402  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: The DigiPiglet Journey on: September 18, 2019, 04:29:41 PM
I really like how the work is ot for but I just see two flaws in the system. One is the need of the DigiPiglet to be on hand physically to the next recipient before it can send BTC to the piglet, by doing this like what eternalgloom will be doing on shipping it to the next trustworthy person he will be incurring additional cost by doing so. The second one is related to the first flaw because this kind of system you will be risking the donations everytime you send it to another person, as you are handing out the private key everytime you send it to an individual even if you think the person is trustworthy doing it with 98 more prople looks like a risky thing to do.
1403  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the bitcoin price prediction for 2020? on: September 17, 2019, 08:42:53 PM
What is this high possibility based on again? On pure expectations of most people? Yeah, I'd go for that.

Seriously though, this is exactly why I still want all the market to be in a super bearish mood. Negativity needs to be stronger, all the hands need to let go and leave only the strongest, most stubborn... who are also the least vocal.

And then see the fireworks when one spark set it all off again;)

I know the feeling you get that we may have accumulated more during the past bear market but I do think we are way past overdue on this reversal we recently experienced. After the end of 2017 we have waited at least 18 months for the bear market to end and it was one of the longest times in the industry where it tested out the patience and faith of the traders in their position may it be them holding at the bottom from the start of the bear market or people who have hodled Bitcoin at a loss I think both of them are rejoicing when Bitcoin went up to the 13,000$ range. What we are experiencing now as a trader is we think that we missed an opportunity to accumulate more but really most of us didn't expect a fast movement from Bitcoin happening this soon.
1404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: September 17, 2019, 07:41:26 PM
Do not sleep on Ajax, those dudes went so far ahead in champions league last year and they are playing Lille so I assume they will destroy them too, I would play either halves for them as well because they will probably score an early goal and then keep on attacking, Dutch football has always been focused on more attacks than defense so its a quite possible option to play 2.5 over as well.

With them reaching the semi-finals in last season's UEFA Champions League and only lost against Tottenham with away goals there is no doubt that they can defeat Lille in the Group Stage (They are currently 1-0 before even the end of the first half right now).  But the thing is will they even reach the semi-finals this current season? They have sold three key players to three competitions namely De Light, De Jong, and Dolberg all of which contributed tremendously on their Champions League run. They still have a good starting eleven but I know the departures would really hurt especially when they start facing off Chelsea and Valencia in the group so just by looking at the group stage you will see they already have a rough start in this season.
1405  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: More than a year after GDPR implementation, half of UK businesses are not fully on: September 17, 2019, 06:53:08 PM
~snip~

It's a good thing to see that big companies are being penalized for data breaches happening in Europe but how about the small ones who barely go up in their radar? I know that big companies like Facebook are getting more compliant now when it comes to data privacy specially if they want their Libra to be fully welcomed in Europe and data breaches made by them are kept minimal unlike the ones who aren't complying at all. If the European Union really wants to change at all I do think they also need to start hunting the smaller fishes existing in the EU if news about bigger fishes getting caught don't change their ways of data privacy. Hunting them down one by one will just make them see that they are serious in enforcing the regulation in all corners.
1406  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency and blockchain adoption on: September 17, 2019, 06:09:48 PM
Yeah sure we can see the physical things that may look like it is starting to shape out the crypto industry globally but if you really want to see that crypto mass adoption will happen really soon is the legality of the crypto industry itself. Its the framework that really matters here and without any kind of clear regulation in any country it wouldn't be a green light for other establishments to follow what others have been doing now. So if we really want to see a big change then we must observe the government and what decisions they will make for their crypto industry not just some establishments making a move from it. I know that some would say that it's already happening because of this acceptance by a few businesses but its really not enough to set up the pace we are looking for.
1407  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-09-17] Bug on Kraken Let Users Buy Bitcoin at Levels Below Market Price on: September 17, 2019, 04:39:14 PM
Kraken is a US-based cryptocurrency exchange, founded in 2011. I would have thought that they would at least sorted out most of the software issues in the 8 years that they have been operating as an exchange.  Tongue

We can't rule out the possibility that the bug was created purposely by their own organization or at least some of their mischievous employees to take advantage of the market. With us seeing reports about crypto exchanges faking data from the volume as well as faking the bids then  I don't see any reason why can't they pretend to create a bug just to take advantage of the market as well. I'm not saying that is what happened but it is just one of the possibilities why even with the 8 years they have in operating we still encounter flaws in their platform.
1408  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Earning from crypto currency on: September 16, 2019, 08:51:12 PM
Just in case members are already pming you with links of wesbsites you can "earn". Ill just provide you a rough guide on what to avoid with their suggestions and the pms you have or may receive.

  • Faucets - First of all this is not a scam but what crypto you will earn from this won't even be sufficient to cover your expenses from claiming and claiming with your computer, not unless you have a good number of active referrals you won't earn a thing from this.
  • HYIP sites - If members has sent you links of sites where you can earn a steady income for a fixed period then just avoid it because it is most likely a scam. They will claim that they have a legitimate business you can earn and give you a fixed interest rate like 1% for 100 days or any other unrealistic rate of return. Yes they'll be paying you but what you will be receiving is the money of new members joining the scam and not through their said business. Other ways to spot this is they will show you a fake company registry as well as a referral program with unreasonable commission rates.
  • Cloudmining - Similar to HYIP sites this one will be claiming that they are mining cryptocurrencies and you just have to rent their hash power to have a fixed daily income. Don't get me wrong there are real cloudmining services but they don't give fixed returns on a fixed period and they also offer lower payout compared to the fake ones.

Remember if you receive anything that fits the description of what I said then just avoid it, you'll just end up wasting either your time and money or both.
1409  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nexxus Rewards - SCAM - Fake team member on: September 16, 2019, 07:53:47 PM
The temporary picture was apparently of Mick Dilger, working in the pipeline industry, who is not connected in any way to cryptocurrency or any other industry related to Nexxus Rewards. There was no intent to steal his identity or defraud others by his participation in Nexxus Rewards.

The funny thing is how did one of Mick Dilger's photo ended up with you in the first place? That kind of mistake is something I don't even see especially if he isn't "connected in any way" to the crypto industry. I know you are here to clean your name and your reputation and we cannot just take your word for it so any evidence proving that "Joe Prescia is a real person" then your red tag on my side will be cleared. Like what Coolcryptovator always ask I think a video of him showing proof of his existence and identity is enough for me to convince that this was a big and rare mistake (which I already seen as an excuse/alibi before).
1410  Other / Meta / Re: Why my acccount banned, RACIST FORUM on: September 16, 2019, 07:10:13 PM
We barely see permabanned users using the race card to shift the blame towards us but it always fails to do any impact on justifying the ban was wrongly place. First of all we don't see the color of your skin, if it you hadn't posted any hints you are black then we won't have any idea what color your skinis, I don't even judge you for being black just because of your username. Don't shift the blame towards us because there are no rules about banning people because of their race, like what others have pointed out you are ban evading because you're account is connected to another account and there is no racial motive behind it.
1411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trump’s Plan to Ban the Petro Could affect all Cryptocurrencies on: September 16, 2019, 06:07:17 PM
This is just a news website inflating the news with their own opinion and there is really nothing to look into this. Petro is a state-launched cryptocurrency and is different compared to other normal projects out there including Bitcoin, they are not controlled by a country nor is regulated by it entirely. Other reasons not to believe in this is it's really too late now for the US to shift into Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies being banned, the SEC is already regulating ICOs and exchanges they are also carefully studying Bitcoin ETFs for their country, other states are accepting crypto as a payment for taxes. A full crypto-ban would just be a big step backwards for them and it would really affect a lot of their citizens now.
1412  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance Blocks US Customers - Where Will Crypto Traders Go Now? on: September 16, 2019, 05:36:49 PM
I think they just want to polish the name of the business. because immediately Binance created an exchange binance link for Americans, that is Binance.us
Americans are currently trading a lot of coins up to the present time. Therefore, they will never ignore such good customers.

This is not true, the reason they pulled out in the first place is because the authorities have seen them illegally operating in the US without any proper license that's why they pulled the plugged immediately. Good thing that there were no bans issued or any kind of penalties towards them or else it would be hard for them to go back in the USA. Binance is one of those exchanges that are hot in the eyes in a lot of countries already that is why they are being careful now and all there moves now are done with the legal process. I'm sure that when they launch officially in the US they won't have any trouble grabbing some market share from the competition especially if they already have existing customers under their name.
Ang tanging paraan lang dito is not to jump out on your first opportunity when you see it dahil kailangan mo muna mag research bago sumali sa mga ganito, dahil kung hindi di mo alam na ninanakawan ka na pala.
1414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Otto Wallins on: September 15, 2019, 07:08:07 PM
I was wrong to say that it would be a walk in the park for Tyson Fury against Otto Wallins, that cut he received as early as the 3rd round gave him problems and aside from it he us stamina issues as well. He was lucky that the judges favored him with this fight and I think Otto Wallins' future became better because of this defeat and he is in the same level of the top pro world boxers we have, this only proves that his talent is not only good against European opponents. Now I'm more concerned on how the future of Tyson Fury will be specially if its true that a rematch will happen against Deontay Wilder now that he has shown a lot of vulnerabilities in his style of play the chances of him being knocked out by Wilder will go up if he doesn't change the way he box.

1416  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you guys ok if BTC ends in the 10k USD range at the end of 2019? on: September 15, 2019, 06:11:11 PM
If I was ok that Bitcoin ended up 2018 in the 3,800 to 4,000$ level then I'll still be happy that we will end up more than double it's value by the end of 2019. Honestly I didn't expect Bitcoin to have this fast growth on a short time frame and the two scenarios we have on big jumps like this is we either fail and go down and trigger the bear market or have a higher consolidation stage which between the two I'll choose the latter as we won't be waiting for another break out reversal when we enter the bear market. But of course our real target right now is to try and re-test another resistance and by the looks of the market now BTC is still not over on trying to to go up above 11,000$ this year.
1417  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nexxus Rewards - SCAM - Fake team member on: September 15, 2019, 05:05:12 PM
Flag supported and tagged the NexxusRewards' account, I won't be tagging the member morvillz7z has included since it's just a regular member participating bounties and is not directly affiliated with Nexxus. Also it looks like NexxusRewards has caved in already as soon as this scam accusation thread for them has been opened, good job OP.
1418  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of banking industry in blockchain on: September 15, 2019, 04:19:09 PM
It's as simple as asking yourself if the return on investment would be good if they integrated their system with blockchain. The way I see it is there are two types of "small banks" the first one is the rural banks who only cater a region or a city and the other ones are already part of a big group of banks as a subsidiary both of which have a small client base where a blockchain system won't be needed because they'll just be incurring more cost for a little to no improvement with their business.
1419  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: New FATF guidelines require professional crypto consultation on: September 14, 2019, 09:31:43 PM
There is another issue related, as FATF is aiming in making the crypto environment as close to the banking system as possible.
We can check the history of each wallet or block number. Imagine you became an owner of the part of the block which had been related at some point in some sort of illegal activity. In the eyes of some officials, it would make you somehow involved in an investigation related to the money laundering and your wallet can be frozen (depending on the local legislation) for months if not years. Not to mention that in some jurisdictions it can be even enough for arresting you. Even if you just eg. accepted payment in BTC for your used mobile.

Doubt that they'll be looking the "illegal activity" on a block by block basis since there is still a lot of transactions included in it. If they know how Blocks work then they know that some legit transactions that are not involved with a crime might just be coincidentally included in it, this will be more obvious if they have seen the pattern from it. Also they will see the difference in addresses used in these transactions it would be easy for them to pinpoint the affected addresses involved with the illicit activities and who they are sending it to. But if all else fails and your tx id is involved with the investigation then it is your chance to prove on where did you receive that BTC from receipts, messages, and any proof that its a legit transaction would be enough to clear your name.
1420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: September 14, 2019, 08:37:00 PM
But what is the exact reasons NBA stars don't join the national team?
Is is about the money that they don't earn from the national federation or is it the fact that NBA teams do not allow them to play in such tournaments?
Even non NBA players have reason why they don't join national teams.  It's about their life I think. Like for example, we have LeBron James that has his taping on his upcoming movie and TACO TUESDAY. And some of them just want to focus in the NBA for the next season. Or vacation.

The topic about stars not playing for their national team is more than their personal lives involve. From NBA teams being greedy on letting their players represent their team to some reasons about injuries happening are also a factor why they are not playing right now. Some reasons involve like what Kobe did on declining to represent USA is he said that he wants to let other players have the chance to represent the team which is also reasonable for him to do. Now that the NBA sees that its not impossible to defeat USA anymore I think this will view it as a wake up call that its not enough to send some few role players in the NBA to represent team USA, we might see a few stars  in the next FIBA world cup because of this season.
