How many times can you re-inflate the same used condom?

In the good old days that's what you did for a long time. And you kept it in a special box.
2342  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you feeling a bear trap right now? on: December 18, 2013, 09:55:11 PM

This will be the last time I have buy orders when I am sleeping, but if i am awake and alert when BTC strikes $200, I may try and play another bounce.

what would you suggest oh sage one?

I don't know what he would suggest but may I suggest that you leave a permanent sleep-time order at $200 because if you ever get them at that price you have a fantastic deal. I can't imagine how pissed off I'd be if it went to 200 and I didn't have an order there, just because of a previous bad experience.

The best analogy I can think of is skateboarding. Did you skate? When you first try to ollie and kickflip you bruise your shins now and then. But you still keep going until you can do it.
2343  Economy / Speculation / Re: To buy or not to buy, that is the question on: December 18, 2013, 09:41:30 PM
what does surprise me is that the US government supposedly seems more accepting to bitcoin than I would have expected in 2011.

I think it's because the blockchain offer some exciting possibilities tracking-wise, meaning more efficient taxing and tracing of villains
2344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SXC Sexcoin price manipulation on: December 18, 2013, 09:34:22 PM
Just want to warn people about getting burned with this scam coin. Ive been watching SXC coin closely from the beginning. During the big pump when the price skyrocketed on cryptsy it was fairly obvious that the price was being manipulated with bots and fake buy/sell orders. Now that this coin has completely tanked and the people who pumped and dumped this coin were able to rebuy everything they sold on the cheap, are now restarting the pump. I can see the exact same tricks they used in the beginning being used again exactly the same way. This is a total scam coin. Lots of fake buy orders for tiny amounts to push down the low bids, all the sell orders constantly jump up a point in tandem the second someone buys at the previous high sell order.

If you look in the official sxc thread today lavajumper who affiliated with sexcoin and runs the biggest pool for them posts this...

"And the granddaddy, GodFather, MacPimpDaddy of them all (appears not in operation yet):

http://sexcoinbank.com

Does anyone know if this is legit or not!?! I'm investigating"

Interesting that a person who is majorly invested in sexcoin just happens to come across a domain that was only registered 7 days ago and probably only live a couple of days and only indexed in google maybe a day ago at the exact same time the price of sexcoin starts going back up to coincide with the pump. It doesnt even show up in Google unless you search for the domain name with the .com extention. Doesn't show up for sexcoin or even sexcoinbank. There is no way that lavajumper just happened to stumble across this domain. He acts like he did and is "investingating" which is total bullshit. Something stinks here.

Let me guess... You're holding a big, big bag of sexcoin! Well good for you. I think it will go places.
2345  Economy / Speculation / Re: New Year Predictions on: December 18, 2013, 09:20:37 PM
I honestly think Bitcoin is actually attractive to the US government, European governments and other democratic governments because:

1. If you get the exchanges and bitcoin businesses to cooperate then you have an easy to follow, infallible record of every single transaction with names and whatever accumulated kyc docs  attached.

2. Then you can tax everybody and nobody can hide.

2347  Economy / Speculation / Re: New Future Outlook on: December 18, 2013, 04:16:19 PM

And then we have to pray no new restrictions are placed on Bitcoin in the EU, US, Russia, South America, and the rest of Asia and Australia.

No restrictions, just tax, don't worry  Wink
2348  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Technical Indicator that Matters! on: December 18, 2013, 03:52:23 PM
Sorry to keep posting but I have to ask, did you really need the money back straight away? Because I think $500 is the real fair price for Bitcoin outside speculation (despite believing it would trade sideways at $700 for a couple of weeks due to speculation). I feel certain that in a few months $500 will seem cheap again.
2349  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Technical Indicator that Matters! on: December 18, 2013, 03:48:08 PM
Sorry. Just joking about Dundee United  Grin

But seriously, just wait a few more days and then invest a bit for the "long" term (one year). Fuck day trading. Then no stress and I think a very good chance to make superb returns on Bitcoin.
2350  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Technical Indicator that Matters! on: December 18, 2013, 03:45:45 PM

Never, ever invest in Dundee United.
2351  Economy / Speculation / Re: It won't go up anytime soon on: December 18, 2013, 02:10:43 PM
apart from the dead cat bounce. price doesn't just suddenly reverse....

Some cats really like to bounce  Smiley
2352  Economy / Speculation / Re: In the very near future people WILL buy your Bitcoins for more if you just... on: December 18, 2013, 01:31:34 PM
Looks bad now but remember that right now there are a lot of people trying to work out when to buy back in.

Not me.

Just took a 12% haircut with my buy in tranches and reckon it is going much lower and will then stagnate.

There will be no sudden bounce back from here....

The bottom or near bottom will spell itself out loud and clear, there will be no need to rush in and I for one will not rush in and I imagine the majority of others are of the same sentiment.

I am out for now.

Fair enough. Each to their own. It's no easy call.
2353  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bobby Lee [CEO of BTC China] speaking to CNBC on: December 18, 2013, 01:27:28 PM
A lot of people have been saying that the Chinese are dumping their coins right now on Gox.

Sorry to have to say this but the dumpers today have been Americans in my opinion  Grin
2354  Economy / Speculation / Re: In the very near future people WILL buy your Bitcoins for more if you just... on: December 18, 2013, 11:16:31 AM
calm down!

Bro, I suspect it is BTC China selling the coins on the non-Chinese exhanges. Most of the bears outside of China sold long ago.

I think it's Americans!

Who knows, but if people don't stop selling soon this is going to get ugly.

Looks bad now but remember that right now there are a lot of people trying to work out when to buy back in.

2357  Economy / Speculation / Re: If BTCChina goes to zero... on: December 18, 2013, 10:53:46 AM
When will the other exchanges decouple from it? I think many people are waiting for China to stabilize before buying back in. But since China is destined to go down all the way to 0, or close to it, people will keep waiting and waiting for a bottom that never comes. At some point, the non-Chinese exchanges will have to start ignoring the price movements on BTCChina... but it hasn't happened yet. Any thoughts on when/how that decoupling will occur?

Decoupling???

When BTC China goes to zero the owners of BTC China are going to dump those coins in the coming days on the non-Chinese exchanges.

Are they obliged to do that straight away?

2359  Economy / Speculation / Re: A brief history of exponential trends on: December 18, 2013, 09:36:45 AM
I have a hunch that the current exponential trend-line will be broken next year.
Please excuse my ignorance if it is clear, but in which way and why?
2360  Economy / Speculation / Re: Now we crash up! on: December 18, 2013, 09:32:07 AM
