The bonds are being artificially raised in price as a hedge to cover the MNW bets, IMO. As someone here mentioned and as I'm many others have done, if you can get bonds below 0.5 you can effectively have a no risk bet on the possibility of Pirate default. It doesn't protect against the possibility of MNW not paying anyone, of course. Matthew, it seems these bets must be getting quite burdensome to handle. Do you need any partners to take in the bets in trust, nicely format them and then pass them through to you? Thank you for the offer (and yes it was keeping me up at night), Rassah is already doing a fine job of organizing them independently to match against my sloppy records. For the record. this guy here? http://www.satoshisuperstars.com/rassah/Yes. I was on Satoshi Superstars too. Stop bringing attention to my behind the scenes links with everyone on this giant collusion of a scam that I have obviously perpetrated. You're ruining everything!

I hereby award you troll of the year award. Congratulations. You are awesome at pretending to be a mentally challenged person. Dude, be nice...... Even if his plan was done by buying cheap drugs off SR and resell them for a profit...... That would easily pay interest he is offering....... People have to start somewhere and he's trying ( a little to hard IMO) but still trying... If he was a sammer he would pull multiple loans and take off... I doubt he knows 100% of all the things involved in running a bitcoin bank, but he might be like me.... Learns as he goes.... Good luck to you Dank and if I ever have some extra BTC I will definitely invest a couple with you.... I'm honestly not convinced he's a scammer, but even moreso, I'm not convinced he's been outside.

I'd like to place a 100BTC bet, if a trusted member is willing to act as an escrow agent.
CR
I'll escrow it for you, no charge. Send me a PM, or just send it to my public firstbits address, and I'll up my own bet to 130 BTC (from 30). Acknowledged.

And why would wanna legislate on the stupidity of people?
You don't want stupidity to be outlawed because you know you'd be imprisoned for life. I lol'ed.

Less than a penny? Do you feel the time of others is as worthless as your own time?
Atlas doesn't have any bitcoins because no one would give him any. He was asking for some for "SatoshiDice" but I guess he lied and this is what it's for.

You don't have to die to give your soul bad karma.
Then your title should state "dank karma guarantee" not "dank soul guarantee". If you're not offering to commit seppuku in a sealed EM shielded box, then "soul" is false advertising. I'm pretty sure everyone puts their soul on the line when they chose to be honest traders or not. You've elegantly articulated the reason why having a soul as collateral is basically worthless. No one can collect it if you screw them over. Since we all live in the present dank, how about you start providing something that we can believe in, like your identity for starters? How does that make it worthless? Maybe you don't give two shits about your soul, but I do, hence why I wouldn't fuck anybody over. Certain members on this forum already have my banking info, others know my name. That's enough identification for me. Besides, if I was a scammer, I'd photoshop a fake ID. If your musical skills match your would-be photoshop skills, I highly doubt it would pass for real. Also, no one cares about your soul, they care about their money in this lifetime. Keep your spiritualism out of Bitcoin and if there is someone who has knowledge of your banking details or identity, provide them as a reference.

In light of recent news that pirate has indeed paid out one individual (and 2 reported although unconfirmed), I am even more confident that I will indeed win this bet as I had originally hoped. I've decided to raise the maximum bet to 1,000BTC per person.

Accepted. ἀφαιρετικός.

Where is the chart that shows the "Bitcoin for Dummies" episode of Good Wife coming out, the producer downloading a wallet, then killing himself because it takes too long?
wtf? Scott did a lot more for Bitcoin than you ever will. Sorry if I offended. It was meant to be a joke, honestly. Probably really poor taste. That said, your statement is presumptuous and frankly we have yet to see.

If you were a collector, you should know about "Roll your own coins". I do not need to own 10,000 individual 1Ƀ coins or even 2,000 individual 5Ƀ coins. I can own a 0.3155111Ƀ and 9 separate 1,111.11111111Ƀ coins if I wanted to (TL;DR? I load my own coins.) Now, part of the reason I'm being purposely vague is for my privacy and protection. The other is because the conspiracy theories are fascinatingly entertaining for me.
I think, Pirate decided to give back the $ to everyone else, but as a way to supplement his income, he and MNW are working together to make these huge bets, so when Pirate does give everyone their $ back, instead of being down 500K BTC, he can be down 495K BTC (He and MNW will split the BTC) and Pirate can walk away with a cool $50K. With that $50K, he will then move to Somalia, purchase a ship, and become a real pirate. Or if he screws MNW on this deal and walks out with the 500K BTC, he will buy an even BIGGER ship, and maybe even some gold from Coinabul to get his collection of booty started. But that is, if Pirate isn't actually the Feds trying to monitor the flow of BTC, and have now decided that 500K BTC is the proper "Tax" to levy on the BTC community as a whole. This, in it's entirety is the most likely conspiracy theory out of all of the ridiculous conspiracy theories, because it shows me doing something adventurous. Come on guys. You can do better than that.... Nothing so far even shows any imagination for christ's sake. What if I just took a loan from Pirate for 10,000BTC? Wouldn't that explain my confidence? That's not the case but -seriously- lacking imagination trolls. Keep trying.

The only way I'm going to show you guys my coins is if you bet that I don't have them because:
A) It's none of your business B) It doesn't reflect the existing bets regardless C) Gotta collect the FUD tax

Is there a way to make online calls over TOR? Probably not through Skype but GTalk perhaps? Or another similar service?
Atlas, learn how to use a firewall, then you won't have to keep trying to hide your bedroom computer IP.

Seconded. I'll let the speculators and neckbeards worry about the network, logic and economical issues with bitcoin itself. I'm only interested in what it enables, and right now that's a whole shitload.
Don't forget the writers Hehe. My bad Vitalik.

Bitcoin should be able to stand on its own. Calling for governmental regulation and/or oversight is the typical knee-jerk reaction for people who feel or have been slighted in their business dealings. We have the talent and ability to overcome these problems before bringing widespread attention to what BTC is instead of what it could be. Government intrusion into any area of our lives always results in a loss of liberty and could make BTC too much trouble to deal with and has never protected anyone from those people of poor character. The entire USA was ripped off by the collusion of the US government and the financial sector. Government is not the answer; we are.
Damn good post.

[22:35] <Vinnie_win> Did anyone get paid yet? [22:36] <Isokivi> pirate did!

If they win. PROFIT If they lose. DONT PAY.
Logical fallacy detected. Escrow? Duh? Hey. Lets send money to another "internet stranger/website" that was "trusted" just like Pirate was. That sounds like a great plan. Another vector for a person to scam the community when the escrow is large enough. Why are there so many people on this forum that love suggesting sending BTC, a non reversible transaction, to complete strangers on the internet as a good idea in almost every situation? Frick me. By god, you're right! Let's never spend our BTC!

You're not proving anything with this crap other than that you're a douche bag.
+1, I thought it was just the old trolling Matthew is back, but this is like a whole new level. Wtf is going on with you? I agree, the constant spamming of the bet to any remotely related thread is an annoyance to me. The amount of related thread is also annoying, i think MNW calling them out is a good thing Bingo. I am responding to the community at a faster rate then the community can respond to me. This is bad for moderators only.
