2361  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bagsforbitcoins is up and ready to take orders!! on: May 13, 2013, 06:55:03 PM
Right on man. Congrats on setting this up.

My 2 Satoshi suggestion: A darker theme bag might not be a bad idea. Like for myself I'd never want one of the cutesy ones, or really Asian-style ones. I imagine many folks out there would feel the same way...especially young males who are into role playing games... Might want a option with like skulls or some other opposite of the more 'cute' bags you have.
2362  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Anyone heard about these guys? on: May 13, 2013, 06:47:31 PM
It's from India so probably yes.

Look at that website. It's sort of a joke.

I'd put the odds at this not being a scam somewhere around 1 in a 1000.

THanks for making this thread. Handy.
2364  Economy / Economics / Re: USA Debt Repayable on: May 13, 2013, 04:23:13 PM
^^ welcome to the forum Sonofbits. I concur with much of what you are saying but alas my coffee has not hit my bloodstream yet, so am unable to add any worthwhile, cogent points...

Watch this for about 2 minutes and you tell me.

Wow that is a neat site. It's like a car crash and I can't look away.

Funny as well, it looks like the student debt loan is going to reach 1 trillion (it's at 980 bill right now). But there isn't enough room for the 1 trillion decimal place, so I wonder it'll just roll back to '0' like an analog odometer.
2365  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Will Mining fee's keep mining alive? on: May 11, 2013, 07:59:18 PM
Hedging is sort of available through the purchase of shares/stocks in mining operations currently, notably asicminer of course.
2366  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Vircurex Compromised!!? on: May 11, 2013, 06:40:54 PM
Virc is back up

And they have all my coins. High-five to them all.
2367  Other / Off-topic / Re: Over 385,000 BTC worth of money stolen by hackers! on: May 10, 2013, 11:08:03 PM
USD is a huge bubble anyways man,  I'd just stick to bitcoins.
2368  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Vircurex Compromised? on: May 10, 2013, 06:19:08 PM
Damn I hope not...good exchange and I have lots of assets there.

Boy. It sure seems like the invention of BTC was one of the best things to ever happen to the black hats.

Here's hoping they are just being safe and nothing was stolen...

edit: holy crap looks like BTC-E is offline now as well.  .... yet Gox is fine haha.
2369  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predictions for the next bubble on: May 10, 2013, 05:40:48 PM
I think when the next big bankruptcy in the Eurozone happens, will see another bubble. It won't be a speculation-based bubble but more just a rapid increase in value, correcting to the next new plateau for BTC.

Hmm gonna say Spain will be the next big domino to fall in the completely unsustainable continued transfer of wealth from government social spending & taxes to the banking cartels. Gonna say Spain will be taking out further loans they can't pay, in August or September, around the that time the ASIC wave will hit, also really adding to the strength BTC.

short version:

Late August. BTC will go to 330 - 375 peak, will then go down to steady around 245 - 260, and will stabilize here on in to a steady incline up until start of 2014.

2371  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: May 10, 2013, 02:35:31 PM
Whew well that was an awesome frenzy morning to wake up to.

Had my sell orders in last night for 121.33 at Gox.

Looks like that was the perfect place to be... high-fiving myself...
2372  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: May 10, 2013, 02:03:31 AM
More I learn about this world more enticing starting an exchange becomes.

Already have the legal and accounting resources.  Any developers out there interested in a project please pm me.  Based in Canada.

Go for it man ! Be nice to have another option besides CanVirtEx, where it is pretty difficult to get money in or out of without using a bank account.
2373  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: May 09, 2013, 07:51:18 PM
105 is a pretty good entry point. I'd be happy to get into the GF market at 110, or even 112 pounds or so.
2374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next LTC Difficulty Jump :-( on: May 09, 2013, 07:14:15 PM
I'm hoping a lot miners will give up when they are only making $20 bucks profit after paying their power bills.

But probably not. Likely many people will continue to mine if even only making $5 a month profit after paying power bills.

I think mining profitability after August will basically be decimated. If you don't at least live in a country with cheap power it won't be worth it all.

When ASICS are in actual full production and more available, at that point you'll be look at scenarios where you'll have to pay a big investment, and will have to get a ROI in under 2.5 months or you've lost, with little resale value for your purchase. In short things look grim  !
2375  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Batch #2 & Batch # 3 Avalon - Shipped? on: May 09, 2013, 04:43:25 PM
So, I'm struggling to find answers in this forum. Everyone tends to go off on a tangent.

Is shipping of Batch #2 complete? if not.. Has it at least Started?

I'm guessing the May 5 date for Batch# 3 isn't happening.. or is it? Anyone received one yet?  Undecided

thanks
dys

No, no and no.

I'm still waiting for my Batch #1 order...

Really man?  That totally sucks.
2376  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Rating of ASIC Companies [BitSyncom VS ASICMiner VS BFL] on: May 09, 2013, 04:41:08 PM
I think BFL can't even really be judged until they actually, really, for-real start shipping products to customers (at least 10 units a day).

And  I don't mean win-a-big-shipping-bet shipping. Or shipping as advertising shipping (to bloggers). Shipping to people who paid for products that were supposed to be available many months ago. When will this happen? Even I thought it was going to be early May...
2377  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: May 09, 2013, 04:26:00 PM
Wow...haven't seen BTC this stable since the late '90's.

Great for BTC -- terribly boring for my day trading hobby however. But ya, good news overall...
2378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RoyalCoin Pool Report - RYC Pool Talk Here on: May 09, 2013, 01:45:17 PM
Alright thanks  Smiley    see what I can do. Going to start with reading this link hehe...
2379  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Rating of ASIC Companies [BitSyncom VS ASICMiner VS BFL] on: May 09, 2013, 01:08:50 PM
I think your price/performance numbers need a bit of work. Butterfly hasn't been able to meet any of their power/performance goals -- did you go by their [excessive flashy] advertising claims, or what the numbers have shown to be for their production prototypes that they have been shipping?
2380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RoyalCoin Pool Report - RYC Pool Talk Here on: May 09, 2013, 01:04:16 PM
Can anyone recommend a good guide on setting up / configuring pushpool ? Considering making a pool. Thanks.
