1701  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE 700 TH/s or 8.68 GH/s per share on: March 11, 2014, 09:30:01 PM
0.0004 weekly profit off of a 0.07 priced share is actually really good, at least compared to non-bitcoin investments.

I bought in to PETA. A few days ago. I think it's a great bargain right now and I actually have some trust for the guys running it (unlike a lot of other securities).
1702  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Moving Forward/Resolution Process on: March 11, 2014, 09:26:24 PM
The time frame for the possibility of that information to be made public is beyond my control. If it was down to me it would have been made public a long time before I got involved.

what could that mean?
I think that only cryptocyprus, Ukyo & Graet can answer that, as there probably the only ones with knowledge about whats going on.

But possible reason for such statement could be that cryptocyprus signed some confidentiallity agreement with Ukyo before getting involved.
Another possibillity would be if bitfunder/weexchange was a victim for some sort of criminal fraud that resulted in them loosing control of some funds and that some government agencys is involved in the matter to get the funds back and that anyone involed is under gag order until things is cleared up.

As far as I know, (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong anyone), gag orders don't work like that.

Unless you are talking about the NSA / CIA or something. You don't get 'gag orders' from the FBI or FINCEN or a private company or whomever that don't allow you to even mention that they are involved and would involve seizing deposits, that is illegal. For the most part, gag orders mean you can talk about any details about a situation that has legal ramifications.  They do not mean, or extend, to not even being able to even mention that a law enforcement agency is involved or a court case is on-going.  And a gag order would certainly not be imposed that would allow you to stay in business and collect users deposits without being able to talk about a legal situation that means you can not return those deposits. That's really far-fetched.
1703  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Moving Forward/Resolution Process on: March 09, 2014, 11:03:13 PM
I need to try and return some sanity to this thread.

Glendale, I'm sorry for your loss but it's tiny compared to many other people. Some of the bigger losers know what the deal is and understand that ukyo did not steal or misuse the money. They have not taken legal action as a result. I can't reiterate this enough. Yet you keep posting every day, always using the thief line despite the fact that numerous other things could have happened (and did happen according to those who know).

I may have only lost 1 btc, but that is a lot of money for me, I am pretty poor currently.

Second, how is it that big bag holders are told what is going on, but not any of the rest of us? I'm sorry, it is just not reasonable to take someone's deposits, lock it, and then not give any non-lie reason for it being taken. So you let me get this straight. You want me to have my money taken from me and not bitch about it?  Whether you lost 1 btc or 100 btc you have a right to know what happened.

Your third point, about how numerous things could have happened that explain the situation:  as I posted before, I can not think of a single situation that answers the following for me:

Thought game here: what possible scenario could we have for Ukyo :

a) taking deposits from users knowing he was not able to pay them back for over a month and half.

b) what technical problem could he possibly be working on for 3 months that was render all of funds unavailable.  And what technical problem could be 'solved' leading to the recovery of our deposits. Really.

c) taking out a big loan when this started for unstated reasons that he defaulted on.

d) what possible 'legal reasons' could he have for not being able to explain the situation (beyond Ukyo just covering his ass). I can not think of a single situation either. (What, do you think he has a secret gag order from the CIA or something? )

e) he hasn't posted on these forums for 3 weeks.

f) I admit this is just a suspicion here: but it is very auspicious timing that this went down right went bitcoin entered it's last boom.

I'm open to any hypothesis that explains the situation.

Based on what has happened, what we have been told, and all points above: My personal conclusion is you are being strung along.

Again, give me one valid single hypothetical situation that explains all these points and will gladly stop posting.

Meanwhile? I'm going to keep bitching. I've given up on getting my stolen bitcoin back so at least I have the right to bitch about how my money was taken. Furthermore, having been scammed before, I feel in it is my duty for trying to open the eyes of those who have not been scammed before and may be trusting Ukyo without valid reason to do so.

I don't know what you know ffssixtynine. All I know is that someone took my bitcoin illegally and there has been only about 5% progress towards a resolution in 3+ months.
1704  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When did you first begin taking Bitcoin seriously? on: March 09, 2014, 06:04:32 AM
After the bitcoins I bought hit about $50 than I started to really get engrossed with bitcoin.

I was aware of bitcoin almost from the start. But although I thought the idea was amazing and was neat, I never expected it to catch on as much as it had. I never expected it to go above $20-$25. As soon as the snowball started going down the hill and it seemed like a general, positive economic movement was happening, I've tried never to doubt bitcoin ever again.
1705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apple's War against Bitcoin means they want to create their own Crypto on: March 09, 2014, 06:02:20 AM
I really doubt it.

They likely will introduce some sort of their own competitive payment processing system that runs of phone bills or credit cards or what not, but I don't think they would use a cryptocurrency.

1706  Economy / Services / Re: I will pay 0.15 to first person who dox Leah McGrath Goodman on: March 06, 2014, 11:08:50 PM
It won't stop and I disagree with your stance, but do respect your point of view.
1707  Economy / Services / Re: I will pay 0.15 to first person who dox Leah McGrath Goodman on: March 06, 2014, 11:06:54 PM
Don't dox her.  It will just make the bitcoin community look bad , more than anything.

You would do more to help just by trying to ignore the news story (as opposed to talking to everyone you know about it, thus generating her and the story more exposure. )

I also think she went way too far on the personal details without a lot of proof, but I don't think an eye-for-an-eye is appropriate in this case.
1708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the most stupid comment you've heard about bitcoin? on: March 06, 2014, 11:05:33 PM
That bitcoin's value isn't 'based on anything' ...... when in comparison to fiat currency.
1709  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: Did we found the real identity of the creator of Bitcoin? on: March 06, 2014, 11:04:08 PM
Good poll.

I think it is him.  Though their are legit questions, for sure.  Biggest two for me:

1) Why he'd go to such lengths to hide his identity and then be using his real name ? Doesn't make a lot of sense to be so paranoid and then...use your real name. But is conceivable if you consider he never expected bitcoin to be so big that people would try to track down every Satoshi N in the world.

2) Why he seems to have financial and health problems yet never tapped into his bitcoins.

I think it is him though... people are complicated. And often, the more intelligent the person, the more.... complicated their personality is. People are not fully logical and the contradictions seem to be consistent, so ya, I think it is him. I'd say I'm 70% sure if I had to put a number on it.
1710  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ROTFLMAO New Dorian Bitcoin slogan: "Bitcoin: it has lots of buttery taste!" on: March 06, 2014, 09:17:12 PM
I'd predict we are going to get a 'ButterCookieCoin' copycoin by the end of the day -- but we already have a ButterCoin so maybe it'll be a whole week instead.

How cute? a guy with a brain of a Chihuahua make an prediction...

I just went through a few pages of your post history and it is really sad man. You should seek professional help. Your life is obviously filled with a lot of pain and I feel sorry for you. I'm also ignoring you as well, so save yourself the vitriol in your writing of your 10,000th 'you are an idiot' post.

1712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Raising BTC to protect this guy, even if it's not Satoshi he is in trouble!!! on: March 06, 2014, 08:50:52 PM
I'm sorry does not compute. Why would you be raising money for someone who supposedly has 400m?

(Nice gesture, but ya am I missing something? )

Ofcourse you cant compute.... you're dumb as a door knob.

If thats still over your head, just fcking die and not waste anybody's air

Oh wow I am so insulted. A guy who can not even string together a sentence with at least two errors in it thinks I'm a dumb-ass. Boy am I ashamed.

Maybe you should taper off your postings in this forum until you graduate grade 9.  I know you are having troubles with it, but keep working on it. Maybe just another few tries and you'll get it done.

How about you flame through a personal message instead... Go away.

How about your take your really fucking lame scam attempt and take the 0.02 btc you already gained to buy a rope, so you can hang yourself?

You'd be doing the world a favour and making room for people who actually contribute something to society.
1713  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ROTFLMAO New Dorian Bitcoin slogan: "Bitcoin: it has lots of buttery taste!" on: March 06, 2014, 08:48:16 PM
 Grin

This is pretty funny.
1714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto Doxxed: Don't Blame The Reporter on: March 06, 2014, 08:47:45 PM
I think the reporter went to far in revealing his address and license plate number and other private details. There is a very serious and real security concern here, which she obviously doesn't care about.

Newsweek should just stick to its regular garbage, like who twittered which celebrity about what stupid thing, like it usually does.

1717  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you see the price of BTC above $5000 by the end of 2014? on: March 05, 2014, 07:43:41 AM
Tough question.

I would say that there is no chance btc could reach over 5000 by the end of the year. ... BUT......each time I doubted bitcoin, whether it was when it broke $100, $250, or $1000, I have been wrong, so .... ya, maybe it is possible.

I think a point of view about this subject that isn't brought up much is important also, so I'll bring it up:

It's not so much that bitcoin is raising so fast in USD/BTC price, as it is that fiat is falling so fast against bitcoin.   Like, to say, most people don't  realize how fast our debt-fiat funny-money is inflated, every single year.  Even if bitcoin did not raise so much on its own, it is bound to do well just because it is not created out of thin air and most nations of Earth are facing insolvency.

(Which is also sort of funny if you think of it. All the countries of the planet, even the 'richest' ones, are looking like they will go bankrupt in the next few years. I think any sane and reasonable person would have to question our economic system at this point, but most people can't be bothered. )
1718  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Ukyo.Loan - Paying 0.05% daily. on: March 05, 2014, 07:21:11 AM
guys, i need ukyo's company registration paper ...because I am going to find a lawyer to get back our BTC back. if anyone knows ,please share it with me ,thanks !!!

Or by costing him legal fees you will ruin us all.

How long do you plan to wait before you would consider that your money has been stolen. It has been about 3  months. So what then, wait another 3 months? 6? A year even?Would you even then, after a year, start to suspect your money was stolen? All the indicators point to this being the case, good luck with Jon coming back in the future and returning your money  Undecided

Sincerely: good luck. Please do so =)

I don't personally have much hope getting my btc back but :  a) it would be really satisfying to at least, through the process of a trial discovery, have Jon Montroll tell the truth about what happened and what he did        and b) if he just got away with stealing all this money with absolutely no repercussions it would be sort of depressing.

If I wasn't a pretty poor guy I would gladly donate to this cause. (Unfortunately I'm pretty poor, which is part of the reason losing my bitcoin was so distressing here.) If it did work and our money was refunded though I'll give you whatever I get back to you for launching the suit.
1720  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price at end of 2014? on: March 04, 2014, 10:46:07 PM
Hackers and scammer will prevent the Bitcoin from skyrocketing. At the end of 2014 the price will stay stable at $500 - $750.
Scammers are only a problem if people are stupid enough to get scammed.
Be cautious and don't give away your ****ing money to anyone. You wouldn't do it with your real currency, why would you with bitcoins?
Be aware of investment and ponzi schemes and you'll be fine.

It's not always that easy unfortunately.  Some scams are super obvious, but not all of them.

I've been scammed a couple of times and the last was pretty hard to predict. I was using Bitfunder to buy shares in Asicminer.  Worked a few months no problem. Then suddenly the owner, Jon Montrol, stopping allowing withdrawals. And poof money gone. He accepted money from hundreds of users knowing he was unable to pay them back, it seems he was using the deposits as his own personal wallet.

The only way to be safe is to completely not involve yourself in any of the bitcoin economy, which kind of sucks. I fucking hate scammers with a passion.
