1621  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: July 22, 2014, 05:16:32 AM
I just don't see the value of Asicminer anymore.  I've been around almost from the start, and recall seeing AM at over 4btc a share (and ya lost bunch of btc along the way, but no sour milk here.)

But now a days, just don't see a lot to be optimistic about. The company blew their first-mover advantage IMHO.  20% of mining market to lucky if they have 2%. First ASICs to a new gen chip that came about 6 months later than I expected, and just isn't as energy or cost effective as the competition. I don't follow this thread as much anymore but it seemed like they are having enough trouble getting rid of the chips at cost as opposed to making profit.

It's crazy how quickly stuff changes in the world of bitcoin. I hope FC can turn it around but AM seems way overvalued to me, and the div potential looks really slight.
1622  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Ukyo.Loan - Paying 0.05% daily. on: July 10, 2014, 01:54:26 AM

I just tried and the portal is still accessible: http://loan.weexchange.co

Yes, thanks, it's up again now.

Why do you care if the portal is up? I'm being serious, I really don't understand.  Jon Montroll stole thousands of BTC, he has not intention of paying you back, you aren't going to be paid back, you aren't doing anything to get you money back, why do you care about the portal?

I just find it incredible (not in the good sense of the word) that such a high percentage of the people who were robbed here went for the red herrings of the useless irc nothing statements he makes about not being able to talk about anything, and some numbers on some portal that are pretty much meaningless. The guy is not going to pay you back, do you not see that...you were robbed over 8 months ago now!

1623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: HoboNickels - HBN - Fast High Reward PoS - Advanced Wallet - Fun Community. V1.4 on: July 10, 2014, 01:46:02 AM
Wow HBN is sure took a beating this month.  Beating might not be the right word...decimation perhaps?  It's a shame because the coin itself, and especially the wallet, are great.

I'm beginning to think maybe the PoS rewards might be too high though. Anyone else?  I think it is so high that it will just inflate the coin lower and lower, unless a) bitcoin usd/btc price nose dives  or b) a huge expansion of the number of places you can spend HBN on products happens.

PoS rewards cost next to 0 energy to make, so basically, users get 'free coins' after investing. Because there is no cost (in power ) to produce the coins though, and nowhere (hardly) to spend them on any products, the only real option is to trade HBN for BTC. So there is a huge downward pressure on the price, that so far, has only been avoided by newcomers & investors coming to the coin to buy initial staking amounts. But in real basic terms there is more pressure to sell then there are buyers. I'm pro HBN and pro PoS but do now think if the PoS rate of return is too high, it will be detrimental to the price, not beneficial. I think half the rate PoS from what HBN has would be better.

I'm rooting for this coin and holding lots still, but sure is tough for [any] alts when there are now over 250 (or whatever, didn't check) coins out there. Maybe a team member whose role is just promoting HBN could have a big impact... I always think of Doge: the coin itself was nothing special at all, one of a hundred, but it took off with such great advertising and community growth.

Whatever the case may be, good job Tranz, the wallet is awesome.
1624  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 10, 2014, 01:16:25 AM
Surprised how steady the price has been recently. Seems like it is rock stable right now.

I had the feeling that the price was about to dive yesterday.  But it usually goes in the opposite of what I expect.

1625  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: June 07, 2014, 09:11:00 PM
It's all happening now, he's back in full effect and its all business now.

Wish someone would sort Havelock out... I'd like to buy on this news. The site is constantly down and when it is up, it is very slow. It's almost becoming impossible to trade AM1 and AM100 shares.

I'd be willing to bet that they are under near constant ddos floods.  By who , no idea, but seems the norm for exchanges.
1626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HBN Investment Journal - 2% returns every ten days - 80,000+ HBN Porfolio on: May 29, 2014, 03:10:03 AM
Whew HBN is taking a beating these days. Back to selling at 0.002   Undecided

I guess the raise in bitcoin/usd hasn't helped.
1627  Economy / Securities / Re: [Weexchange issue] The fall of Ukyo III - Updates and references on: May 16, 2014, 02:57:54 AM
Who has still hope to get some coins back in here ??

I simply can not understand why people think there is any chance that they'll get their stolen money back.  I guess ya, hope and denial is some of the few things  you are left with after being robbed.

I don't even know how long its been anymore.  When did the 6000+ btc 'disappear' and 'become unavailable' ? Was it October, November. I don't even recall.

I'm really surprised that the ole  'Oh oh sorry sorry, it's coming soon, i can't talk about it' defense actually sastifed so many people who literally had more than million bucks collectively ripped off from them, for what, 6 months now?
1628  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Ukyo.Loan - Paying 0.05% daily. on: May 16, 2014, 02:53:26 AM
Nope, absolutely nothing has happened in months. You have been robbed.

Again I don't see why people are so concerned with these next to meaningless shares on the portal.

What does it matter if you have 5 shares on the portal or 5000 ? They are both worth the same thing, which is nothing.

Ukyo not paid back his defaulted loan for many months now, and he hasn't even said any reasons why he can't do so. If you think he is going to magically want to hand over all the bitcoins he stole from you all of a sudden then you are really deluding yourself.
1629  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Moving Forward/Resolution Process on: May 16, 2014, 02:41:14 AM
Someone did pursue a legal course of action, user SOSLOVE.  The thing is Jon Montroll organized his company in a way that it would be quite difficult to sue. There is some shell company in Belize and etc, it would be pretty difficult and costly do so.  He (my guess) planned this company from the start with this scam in mind. And you have to admit, it has worked great for him, he stole millions and there very little chance of any legal troubles from it.

To anyone still thinking he's gonna pay you back, I'm sorry, you guys are just gullible. As said about 4-6 months ago now, you have been scammed, Jon Montroll stole your bitcoins. I'm frankly amazed that some of you are still being strung along. I can't fathom how you could believe that Ukyo has good intentions here, he doesn't even talk about it the 7000+ btc he stole.

Don't mention the IRC chats to me, that's another red herring people love to gobble up. He's literally said ZERO statements of anything on months, it's always evasions such as 'can't talk about it' etc..etc.... I could understand buying that for a few months, but for 6 months and more, I sincerely do not understand how you any of you could believe that there is any hope of getting your money back 3 months ago, let alone now.

This massive scam and theft was really easy and he got off scott free, even though his personal data is publicly available.

I'm guessing a few people (who have silently disappeared from this thread) pursued more direct methods to put pressure on him and they got their BTC back, but for the majority of us, Jon took our money, and is long gone, you've been robbed (if it is not yet painfully obvious by now I guess it'll never be).
1630  Economy / Securities / Re: [Weexchange issue] The fall of Ukyo III - Updates and references on: May 08, 2014, 02:44:09 AM
I'm surprised some people still don't seem to get it.

Ukyo stole all your money.  Move on, it's long gone now. His loan site and your loan shares don't mean anything.  It has just been a red herring to pretend like he actually cares or is doing anything towards getting you your money back (as I've been saying for like 5 months now).  Really you got to wake up and smell the coffee. Move on or do something about it.  It's pretty much already too late.

If you think Ukyo is just going to magically one day pay you back... well its just not likely. What would be the point of stealing your money in the first place if he intended to give back to you. It's incredible, to me, how people buy his bullshit.  You know what would mean something? If he gave your money back. The loan site doesn't mean shit.

As for the IRC chat, sure he is there, but he has said a single fucking thing of any substance in months on it. It's always nebulous uncertainities dolled out each time. Seriously, try to look at the situation objectively. The guy ripped us off for millions and if you think he's going to pay you back at this point, many months later.... I dunno what else to say, you'll believe anything.
1631  Economy / Securities / Re: [INVEST] Invest with 10% to 30% profit on: May 08, 2014, 02:37:20 AM
Great so you want a bunch of people to give you money so that you can mine bitcoins with the money given to you by a bunch of people.

Has any of the dozen or so mining collectives ever been a good investment?  How is RSM and Peta doing these days I wonder. I honestly have no idea but assume no one ever made much money back.
1632  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is Dead, sold all mine on: May 08, 2014, 02:35:01 AM
Wow that's too bad polycoin, really going to miss you.

...uh not !
1633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 'Bitcoin outperforms gold, silver, US stock market' says Roger Ver on: May 08, 2014, 02:33:38 AM
Kind of reminds me of the whole issue of perspective.

It's funny when you see, after a crash, mainstream news saying how terrible bitcoin is because it is susceptible to crash and lost a lot of its value etc etc.   When, although it is just as valid of a perspective, you don't see nearly as many news articles about bitcoin has gained in value +350% in the last two years.
1634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So if China doesn't matter to BTC, what is causing the price to stay down? on: May 08, 2014, 02:31:30 AM
The price of bitcoin is like a market and stuff. It goes up and down, depending on demand.
1635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buffets right hand man calls Bitcoin rat poison on: May 08, 2014, 02:30:49 AM
Who cares what he thinks?  The senior very likely has no idea what bitcoin even is, and likely just figured out how to use email for the first time.

They can keep there massive semi-existent funny-money fiat. In fact I'd prefer if they don't buy any bitcoin at all.
1636  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 03, 2014, 02:02:49 AM
Wow been quite the wait for these chips. I was thinking they were coming soon like 6 months back, and haven't even arrived yet.  ... But I'm pretty sure they'll be worth the wait.
1637  Economy / Securities / Re: [Weexchange issue] The fall of Ukyo III - Updates and references on: May 01, 2014, 07:46:53 AM
Sorry AvenG there is little hope.  You are in the same boat as another 200 or so people. Jon Montroll, the owner, stole everyone's deposits....he hasn't even publicly given an excuse for his taking of all our bitcoins.  I guess you should at least take solace than it is only .41 btc.   I lost around 1 btc and some people lost dozens.  Additionally Ukyo / Jon Montroll took thousands of bitcoins worth of loans and fucked off with that money as well.   If you look around this forum there are at least 3 other threads on this.

There is a lawsuit being looked at SosLove but its probably not something you want to involve in for .41 btc, and I think it is too late. Additionally he constructed his company with the intent purpose of being difficult to charge for illegal activity or liability. Beyond that his information, address etc is available, if you live near him it'd be great if you go confront him about it and try to get your money back. I would if I was anywhere close. He's in Texas I believe.
1638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HBN Investment Journal - 2% returns every ten days - 80,000+ HBN Porfolio on: April 25, 2014, 07:49:37 PM
is it good to buy at thoses prices? 30K seems a bit high  to me even tought bids are still huge

Wow!  Shocked  guess so !

Couldn't believe it, woke up and checked out HBN on Cryptsy which I do daily, and, wow, selling for .0005 !  Did not see that coming.

The whole 'hindsight is 20-20' thing kicked in a moment later when I wish I bought a whole bunch more in the low teens, after it dipped down from the low 20's for a while, but hey, when trading you can't beat yourself up much against shots not made or made.

Anyways, I'm in the same position as a lot of people here it seems -- such is the beauty and attraction of PoS coins -- do you you sell when it is so high, or do you want to hold on even tighter now that your interest generating coins are worth all that much more?

I think I'm going to just generate stake coins for 6 months (which was my plan when I bought them originally) and then I'm going to sell the generated coins after that time is up. But I think the future looks bright for Hobonickels just alone on the strength of their wallet, which looks and functions better than any PoS coin wallet I know of.  I would not be shocked if we go back down to the '20s anytimes soon but I really highly doubt that HBN will ever fall below the point I bought into it (mostly around .00017-20).

Thanks Tokyo for starting your journal. HBN was a diamond in the rough and you got the coin some well-deserved attention. You helped grow your own portfolio's value while helping others do the same thing, on the up-and-up, and that's a great move in my books.
1639  Economy / Securities / Re: [Weexchange issue] The fall of Ukyo III - Updates and references on: April 24, 2014, 10:53:30 PM
I find it odd that people seem fixated on the loan site. Ukyo has made 0 progress towards paying you back and is not going to pay you back if he can at all avoid it, so it doesn't really matter whether the site is up or down or sideways. This guy is not going to pay you back if you don't do anything, you can check for changes to the loan site 10 times a day it doesn't make a lick of difference to the actual situation of Ukyo defrauding the community of millions of dollars worth of BTC.

It has been many months and nothing has happened. He still hasn't even told you how he 'lost' the thousands of BTC.  Would you not expect if it was truly a LOAN that he would have at least some of it left to pay you back with?  Roll Eyes    Or if he took 1000s of btc loan he would have spent any of it to cover the 1000s of lost BTC deposits to WeExchange?  This guy is just a straight up thief, the sooner you realize that the sooner you can move on.
1640  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Moving Forward/Resolution Process on: April 24, 2014, 10:49:51 PM
Ukyo brought this all on to himself.  He stole millions of dollars and hasn't even felt enough pressure to even have to tell us what happened.

I think it is totally acceptable for folks to call anyone they can that might give them a chance of getting there money back , or at the very least, at least cause any sort of discomfort for a scamming asshole who stole thousands of bitcoins of deposits and loans.

I think now, what 5 months later ? (lost track honestly) finally everyone at least understands know that Ukyo is not making any progress towards paying back anything, if he ever intended to in the first place is arguable, but what is not arguable, is that Ukyo has been made absolutely 0 progress since refunding the ~5% of our stolen deposits.
