241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 6000 coinbase clients hacked on: October 02, 2021, 10:17:55 PM
Another example why using central exchanges is risky. The hackers knew private data of the users. One corrupt employee or one successful hack and bad guys capture your email, home address, phone number and sell it to local criminals who might knock on your door then best encrypted wallets are useless. Cryptocurrencies are designed for peer to peer usage. If you change it into peer to bank to peer then this adds some risks.

Coinbase is a registered exchange and i believe they are insured and i do not think the end users will be loosing their coins. No one in the right sense would hold their assets in centralized exchanges or wallet as they are always prone to attack and if they are not taking care of their security seriously or incompetent to handle the security the end user will suffer. Sad to hear about another major hack yet again.
242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: October 02, 2021, 08:12:55 PM
Too risky? You think that Caleb has chances to win? Personally, I find him weaker than other fightes who Canelo has fought recently. But I would not bet, because there is not surprize in this fight and odds are too small. I would better bet on other event.
I am waiting for the rounds bets and i could not find the sites i usually bet having those odds for round bets, may be i should wait till the day before the fight to see those odds, i would probably place a bet on that aspect rather than going for the money line as the odds are too small and i will be surprised if the fight goes to the distance as i am expecting Canelo Alvarez to finish the fight within 9 rounds.
243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 02, 2021, 03:00:20 PM
Another loss for Mumbai Indians but the problem which makes the IPL unpredictable is that even in the past where Mumbai won the cup, they never looked like the best team in the tournament but during crucial matches they usually manage to win, despite that i think this is the worst year for them in the IPL with the way they are struggling. My bet is on CSK or Banglore Challengers to win the cup this year.
244  Economy / Economics / Re: The $69m NFT buyer & seller were partners on: October 01, 2021, 10:50:34 PM
So what does it even mean, that the highest bid was just to attract everyone. They need to send out the fees which will not be that huge considering they shelled out $69 million to create the hype around the NFT market. I know that some of these things are stupid and even i was thinking why would anyone shell out millions for stupid digital art when they can do everything in the world that has some meaning Cheesy.
245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: October 01, 2021, 10:09:03 PM
I have to disagree with you. IMO, franchise leagues have done more to cricket than meaningless bilateral tours.
If it is competitive cricket, i do not mind, but i hate watching one sided games and i would not call every bilateral tours meaningless.

I don't see any reason to give preference to national duty over franchise cricket. Perhaps the ICC can make it mandatory for the players to appear for their respective countries in world cups. Other than that, there should not be any restrictions. T20 leagues have brought new fans and money in to cricket. Test cricket on the other hand has played a large part in driving out younger fans and making cricket more unpopular.
The ICC gives preference to national duty because that is how they earn money. I am not sure how much they earn with these franchise cricket.  The shorter format has attracted many viewers to the game and there is no debate on that.
246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: September 30, 2021, 05:38:16 PM
Chennai Super Kings took the game till the last over and MSD finished the match like he always does with a huge six. He is the only player who takes singles till the end and then finish off in grand fashion and you cannot find players like that who are confident like him, such a brilliant player. What surprises me is that Chennai Super Kings is playing with the same team that was eliminated first last year and now they are the first team that qualified.
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Looking To Invest $50-$100 In New Projects Any Ideas? on: September 28, 2021, 12:10:56 AM
Solana(SOL) is now dumping to 130$ with 20% drop for 7 days now.

maybe investing now is a good chance if you really trusted in this coin , but if you are only investing because of easy money? then you'll be losing that chances .
I would rather stay away rather than investing now. The market can take any direction anytime and my hope is that we might see another bull run before the end of the year considering how the market used to perform in the past. But what happens that will not happen and the risk i am taking while investing right now is huge. I will stay way from investing in any project right now and wait for the major correction to invest back rather than jumping in right now.
248  Economy / Economics / Re: After 1 year of Covid 19 Virus on: September 28, 2021, 12:07:18 AM

Indeed. Pandemic started year 2019 but the hardest year is this year 2021. There are so many challenges that people face in this year just like business was being close, there are lot of unemployed personel and I can say that it is the hardest year for most of the countries because no countries were not affected in this pandemic.
I would say the hardest is yet to come as we might reach a point where we might see major inflation and the businesses that closed down during the pandemic will not even open back up and the number of jobs available in the market is reduced considerably. Everyone is feeling that and in the future we might see the situation getting worse.

There is no work but the prices of essential goods is still rising and it is the dangerous part for some of those people who have an illness to go outside for they are the people who is easily affected with this disease. The past year was a terrible time but this year was the hardest time to those unemployed person.
This one is especially true as the price keeps on soaring and we have no idea whether we will go back to another lockdown if there is further mutations of this virus. We are living in a strange time and i am not sure when we will be back to normal.
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin/ETH replace fiat someday? on: September 28, 2021, 12:03:04 AM
I don't think that BTC or ETH someday will replace fiat. first of all governments won't allow this to happen and common people don't like the volatility of cryptocurrencies. just imagine how the prices in supermarkets will change every day.
You really do not need the help of a government to make these legal, all you need to do is accept cryptocurrencies and you are good to go. Unless a government comes out with a blanket ban on the market there is nothing you need to worry and i am not expecting majority of the countries coming up with a blanket ban on the market. They will either regulate the market and that is the best option to move forward.
250  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your opinion on recent bull market, will it be over soon? on: September 27, 2021, 11:56:45 PM
We probably have until January 2022, but everything afterwards is no man’s land, where only the desperate degenerates are.

It’s ok to be a degenerate right now and chasing 10,000% gains and memecoin pumps. It’s actually important to be a degenerate in a bull run, otherwise you miss the crazy 10,000% opportunities every bull run brings.
That is what i am expecting that the bull run will last till the end of this year and by next year we will see the bear run. I am not hunting down every projects to invest expecting it to return 1000% returns because i have had bad experience in the past and i will not repeat the same mistakes twice. When the bull run starts all of those projects will run away with the money earned and will wait for the next bull run to launch them again according to the trend at that time.

251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This project might be a small cap gem on: September 27, 2021, 11:48:25 PM
Also, this project is part if the Solana ecosystem that is known to be supported by Sam Bankman-Fried, the CEO of FTX, the Binance killer hehe.
This is the first time i am hearing about this project, will check them and see whether it is creating any sparks so that i will invest in them. Solana ecosystem is supported by Sam Bankman who is the CEO of FTX but is he supporting this new project or is he supporting Solana. I did not see that he is endorsing this project. Either way i will check them out.
252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: September 27, 2021, 11:40:20 PM

In the end, money matters. Indian women's cricket is in such poor shape because the salaries offered to the players are too low for them to remain as professionals. Right now only the national players can afford to do so. If WIPL is started with 4 teams, that would mean that a minimum of 30 additional players can get themselves elevated as professionals. Just take a look at Indian IPL players like Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Lalit Yadav. How much were they getting from domestic cricket, before being picked up by the IPL franchises?
I am sure how much Indian Woman players make per match but thinking logically Indian domestic players are paid handsomely and my guess would be the Woman cricket International players will be compensated with a package more than that. They might not be making the same amount of money as the male counterparts because of the lack of audience and advertisement they can generate.
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will BitOcoin make me rich ? on: September 27, 2021, 11:32:52 PM
My advice would be to stay away from coin like that, all they want is to use the name of Bitcoin so that new investors would reach them, if not i am not sure whey they want to use this name and i wont be surprised if they use the symbol ticker and symbol same as Bitcoin. I did not even read their whitepaper but i will not invest in them let alone would advice anyone to invest in them.
254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake bets on: September 27, 2021, 07:42:55 PM

There is a lot of youtube bloggers scamming their subscribers and nothing is happen. Especially, russian bloggers are often tell this fact "in the face" to their auditory and nothing is changing for them.

So i'm doubt about reputation risks for such bloggers
I am not aware of these things, Russian scammers could get away filing these things by stating the facts that they are making money scamming users, really strange to hear these things but i am not questioning these things as i am hearing for the first time and if they are scamming other countries they might not be having any legal issues.

I usually do not trust these advertisement and i am not surprised that that majority of the sites use shilling teams to promote their project and casino.
255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] JOSHUA vs USYK on: September 27, 2021, 07:11:39 PM

Personally, I am so pained with the outcome. I won't lie, I am disappointed with Joshua because I was rooting for him. Imagine what other fighters would think of him now. He was indestructible but not anymore. I pardoned his first defeat but this second defeat is too much for me to bear. He should just take some time-off the ring and maybe go someplace to an island and start training all over again. I am heartbroken.
You are not the only one as there are many that did not expect Joshua to loose the fight, but there were many that knew about the skills of Usyk and made huge amount of bets on him and we all know how he struggled against Ruiz in the first fight and the only reason he won the rematch was because Ruiz was not training properly for the rematch as he was enjoying his new found richness and popularity.
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are NFT games also another way to gamble your money? on: September 26, 2021, 09:33:55 PM
I play Splinterlands from time to time. I would not say that this is a gamble, although it is a card game. A little money, of course, was spent on it, and most likely it will not be returned to me, but I play for fun, not to earn money.
If everyone has thing mindset when they are playing with money, then there wont be any complaints. I do play games once in a while and most probably i will be playing free games in casino and once i feel like playing it with money i tend to change and play with money. The issue with NFT games i see is that the transactions fees are really higher when i tried to play the game and hence even i never tried playing them. Once the fees goes down i will be playing the game.
257  Economy / Speculation / Re: New (old) FUD coming from China? on: September 26, 2021, 08:34:38 PM

Not that failed to adopt crypto but we might see them in upcoming bull runs again that they'll do the same thing over and over again. And a news will come out that they've been hoarding bitcoin all of these times and they'll announce that they'll one of the biggest holders in the world.
The same news will resurface again that China is doing some crazy shit about the cryptocurrency market even though there is no exchanges that are running in the country and majority of the miners are moving out from mainland China. I doubt they will be having any direct investments in cryptocurrency but they have a lot of investment companies that can invest on their behalf and if they are looking to make a profit they would literally shut down these rumors but that is not what we are seeing from them.

What's wrong with SRH? Is this team so bad that they cannot chase a score of 125 runs. Restricting batsmen and bad batting are two different things. SRH showed how pathetic batting looks like yesterday.
The lack of local talent is their problem when selecting their team, they have great players in the side but they have the restrictions to pick only 4 International players and they are playing for a long time and they have no idea they could scout local talents to complete the team and that is their biggest problem from what i understand.

CSK won the match in the last ball and i watched the highlights and it was a good one and they are at the top of the points table and i am surprised to see that MI are struggling to win matches or even pose a challenge against RCB.
259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] JOSHUA vs USYK on: September 26, 2021, 03:00:30 PM
Damn, the battle of Britain has been officially ruined  Sad.
What a masterful display by Usyk in this fight.
Losses this one, could have been a big win if I bet the opposite.
Like i said there were huge bets on Usyk and when i was about to place a bet i saw millions of dollars placed on Usyk and i though about placing a few dollars on him and when the fight started i knew why the bets were on him as he was really crisp and Joshua was struggling to continue at the end of the last few rounds. The big payday for Fury and Joshua is done and dusted.

~
Take the money and run away!  Cheesy It will be a shame not to end the streak because of one outcome.
If the odds he is getting is good to cashout, then i will always cashout because Arsenal vs Tottenham, i am expecting it to be a draw as i expect both the teams to score, so if you are able to cashout i would have done that if it was me.
260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: September 25, 2021, 07:58:20 PM
Glad that i stayed out of placing a bet in both the matches today in the IPL, because i would have predicted the wrong team to win the match. Both the teams won simply because their bowlers were able to restrict the batsman with their variations and it is a really rare occasion where we see bowlers dominating both the matches and the best bowlers will always stand out from the crowd.
