1021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Ben Askren on April 17 on: March 11, 2021, 08:56:29 PM
Dana White wants to bet 1 million dollars on Ben Askren win in fight against Jake Paul, and he said it in public on Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson podcast, and I would agree with him.
Dana White has the money to back his fighter even though Ben Askren and Dana White never had a great relationship. Jake Paul is a social media sensation but Dana White refuses to expect that and he is boxing for a long time while Ben Askren is training for a boxing bout for the first time in his life. I will only bet for over rounds as i am not expecting a knockout.

The third person was irritating in the podcast and if there was only Dana White and Mike Tyson it would have been great.
1022  Economy / Economics / Re: Bangladesh militants use Bitcoins for laundering money to Kashmir on: March 11, 2021, 06:29:16 PM
India TV is the same channel that shows hour long "documentaries" about finding a "Mummy of Raavan" in Sri Lanka. (Raavan is the villain in Ramayan, a Hindu legend). You can judge how genuine they are.
So is it like a soap opera, it is a mythical story from what i understand from the searches and it is great if they can create a documentary about mythical books. If it is good and it is in English or has subtitles do share me the content so that i can watch.

Also, even if governments ban bitcoin based on such sketchy news, the terrorists won't magically stop. When the US govt sanctioned Iran, they didn't stop flying the F-14 Tomcat. In fact, today Iran has the only F-14 Tomcats in service in the world. And they did well enough on their nuclear program too. Political problems don't end by bans/ sanctions but by actually facing the real underlying issues.
I do agree with the government understanding the technology and trying to find a way to legalize it rather than an outright ban which will not help the legit users and the people who use it for illegal activities will always find a way to keep doing that.
1023  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Paypal make bitcoin mainstream? The website makes me think so... on: March 10, 2021, 08:58:57 PM
I hate Paypal and want it to leave bitcoin alone.
I do not hate PayPal as i am not using them at all, i used a decade ago and now a days i use once in a while if i need to purchase anything and i do like to hold my money in it nor doing business but the only use is to purchase something and the addition of bitcoin is a good aspect as there are many who knew about bitcoin but never tried to take the plunge to invest in it might try them for the first time and hence you cannot say it is a bad move.
1024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Government Rules Mean No More Gambling Sponsorship on: March 09, 2021, 12:30:24 AM
I see two reasons why there isn't any kind of will from authorities to regulate it:

In religious countries donations from rich guys go to churches and similar organizations and by donating these rich guys have discounts on their income tax annualy, plus laudering money meanwhile. Since gambling is allowed, a large part of these donations funds would go to gambling instead of donations
This is not the reason why gambling is not legal everywhere. Church might advice someone not to gamble because once you are addicted then you will gamble everything you have and will harm an individual and his home and not for the donations. No one is forcing anyone to donate and even if there is a casino the people who wants to donate will still keep on doing that.

Corrupt authorities profit from illegal gambling, as they charge payments from these illegal operations to turn a blind eye to their businesses. If gambling were legal, some corrupt agents would lose a big source of profit.
Politicians makes the law and if they make them legal then they will earn more money in terms of taxes and the corrupt authorities can work full time even if it is a legal casino and corrupt agents has nothing to do with making the law.
1025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 08, 2021, 11:58:22 PM
I'm interested to see how Kohli goes as he has been out of form but I think the pitch in England will help him get back into form.
The WTC final will be interesting and i am expecting India to win that considering New Zealand are not good travelers and the match was taking place in their home ground they have all the advantage and since it is a neutral ground for both the teams i am expecting a good battle and India is playing really well but the problem is that in the last two series they lost the first match and then came back and won the series and they will not have that liberty in the WTC final to loose and then make a comeback  Grin.
1026  Economy / Economics / Re: PayPal buys Cryptofirm Curv on a quest to avoid holding private keys on: March 08, 2021, 11:37:33 PM
PayPal is greatly placed to become an intermediary on a system that was originally created to avoid such a thing.
Paypal is including bitcoin to stay on the business path because if they are not willing to adopt bitcoin then their longevity in the business will be a big question and they are going in the right path by adding firms that could help them with their venture in adding cryptocurrency. Bitcoin was created to avoid these middle man but there are people who are lazy to learn all those and these companies are taking advantage of that and providing services to purchase and hold the coins.
1027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 08, 2021, 11:13:07 PM
Well, as per Khabib, it seems that someone in Yan's corner was calling for it, so maybe the blame is not all on him, so he maybe needs to rethink how he processes outside information in the octogon.
Yan came out and said that in the locker room the referee said he will use his hands to convey the fighters whether a fighter is landing and Yan was watching closely at his hand signal before striking and his corner did not intervene but when you look at the corner footage his corner thought he won the fight and may be he is protecting his coaches and his corner defending his corner.

Strange that no one mentioned here, that Conor McGregor has sold his stakes in Proper Twelwe and became even more rich Smiley
Why would he sell his stakes if he is not having any financial struggles, he fought recently and he might have made a ton of money and yet he wanted to sell his stake and i thought his liquor company was successful .
1028  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price is 47k$, is good time to invest ? on: March 08, 2021, 10:48:08 PM
Invest when you already sets all the plans, it's tough to rush when you see unexpected fall, you'll be temp to sell with losses.
If you are planning to invest at this rate then when the market reverses they will sell off at a loss and the main point they need to understand is that if they are willing to take risk then they need to be willing to hold for a much longer time if the market reverses rather than selling off at a loss and if that is the mindset then they can invest at any market rate.
1029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: More people are moving to Qtum after BNB but STOP!! Qtum is under development! on: March 08, 2021, 08:32:34 PM
I think QTUM is just a hype.
QTUM is already aged, even Binance Smart Chain doesn't started yet, QTUM is already there. But if you take a look now, there is still no progress. I can relate QTUM with NEO, which NEO before got abandoned, which a lot of people keep talking that it is the Ethereum killer, but look at now.
NEO had its issue with the Chinese government and the reason for their failure to gain attention is because of the government intervention, there were many projects lined to used NEO but the stupid government ruined all their business plans and now they are struggling to stay afloat and QTUM like the others in the market were always hyped and never fulfilled anything.
1030  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Cardano (ADA) coin hit $10 During 2021? on: March 08, 2021, 07:42:13 PM
I think cardano is an altcoin that has great potential to be made into a long-term investment, now is the right time to buy this altcoin because the price is still very affordable, I am sure this altcoin will go higher, but I am very unlikely if ADA will  reach $10 by 2021 ,
Do not loose hope, if BNB can pump and reach over $300 then there is no doubt that Cardano has the potential to reach over $10. If you really trust the development just hold them for the long term and you might reach those valuation in the next rally as it does have the potential to be a much better project than BNB and if they can rally like it is the last project to migrate Cardano has the chance to be the next coin to rally.
1031  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MicroStrategy Purchase on: March 08, 2021, 05:53:27 PM
Michael Saylor - "MicroStrategy has purchased an additional ~205 bitcoins for ~$10.0 million in cash at an average price of ~$48,888 per #bitcoin. As of 3/5/2021, we #hodl ~91,064 bitcoins acquired for ~$2.196 billion at an average price of ~$24,119 per bitcoin. $MSTR"
It is good to see that these institutions are investing heavily at this price and how long they keep on investing is puzzling and with all these heavy investment when they will be booking their profit as they are not investing to hold indefinitely or for the long term as they are investing expecting to book a quick profit and my guess is that they will start booking the profit before December .
1032  Economy / Speculation / Re: $1.9 trillion stimulus passes senate on: March 08, 2021, 04:47:50 PM
I was wondering what effect you think this will have on Bitcoin over the coming days, weeks, months and even years? It doesn't seem to have made a huge impact straight away, I guess this is because people were expecting it to happen anyway but surely as the stimulus starts to take effect over the next few months, inflation is going to become a huge problem for any individuals and companies who happen to be sitting on piles of cash. Will the government be able to stop inflation from running out of control or are Bitcoin and crypto holders in for the treat of their lives?
The inflation that you are anticipating will not take hold all of a sudden, if you look at the past recessions it is basically happening because of continued bad policies and we might go into recession in a few years and we are yet to know how these will impact the economy. The stimulus will have an impact in the market and if they do not check these things then it might go out of control and no one can save the country but they need to come up with policies that will balance them.
1033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 08, 2021, 10:15:56 AM
It appears Dana has more problems after UFC 259 hehehe.
Do Dana really care about all those, he would have advised their prized fighters to fight safely and make some money before venturing to higher weight divisions.

Jon Jones will not fight, Khabib has retired, Conor McGregor was defeated, no one cares to watch Amanda Nunes and Israel Adesanya has also lost some of his reputation as the next goat. Dana will put all hope on Francis Ngannou on March 27 hehehehe.
Jon Jones will fight this year and Dana White is trying his best to bring back Khabib this September and Amanda Nunes completly dominates the division and she is not able to attract fans like Ronda Rousey and Khamzat Chimaev who was much hyped announced he will be retiring after complications from COVID and his only hope will be Francis Ngannou and if he wins he will hype him once again and will make money.
1034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum to 100k? on: March 08, 2021, 09:28:48 AM
How can you tell if a market cap value is too much for a certain coin? I understand that there are coins where there are great number of circulating supply, but why can't they reach trillions in market cap?
You can invest a trillion dollar and force those coins to reach those valuation, i want to see Doge to reach a million dollar one day Grin Tongue. If you could attract investors in a particular coin then it will reach a trillion dollars.

Ethereum is an altcoin and its price won't be higher than bitcoin, never. The possibility for Ethereum price to touch $100,000 is very low but there is a very small prob that it might happen. I don't believe in it but you can consider the related price of bitcoin. If Ethereum gets a price $100,000, what price bitcoin will have in that day? $1,000,000 for one bitcoin.
So you think there is small probability that the price of ETH could reach a valuation that is insane and that too with a coin that has no limit on the number of coins in circulation, may be the government is printing out trillions to match these demands of coins that can be minted in unlimited numbers and some expect the price to rally like a limited circulation coin Tongue.
1035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 08, 2021, 06:54:59 AM
Point is nowadays Indians are playing like a team, everyone is trying to contribute and compete. In recent series against England Pujara, Kohli and Rahane failed badly but still India won 3-1. Consistency or any kind of criticism is completely fine but on the same time we shouldn't forget that what this Indian team has achieved in the last 3-4 months.
The point is Pant is playing well and he was instrumental in both the series against Australia and England and the lower order is playing well and doing double duty even though the top order fails and your point is correct, this team does not depend upon a single player as Kohli was the poster boy for a long time and that changed when he returned from Australia and yet India won.

India was forced to include new players due to injury which ended up as the best thing that happened to them if not we would not see players like Washington Sundar and Mohammed Siraj who played major roles in the last two series.
1036  Economy / Speculation / Re: If the FBI wallet with 141,000 bitcoins was stolen what would happen? :o on: March 08, 2021, 05:22:27 AM
There are thousands of bitcoins in the hands of the FBI, how they securely store bitcoin?
At the current price it's worth more than 7 billion dollars!!  Shocked
Not sure whether the wallet belongs to the government or the FBI and the coins they confiscated were auctioned off from what i know and they will not be holding the coins and expect to profit at a later time and i looked at the wallet you posted and it was actively sending coins this month and i have seen similar sent addresses in one of math puzzle posted in this forum.

If the FBI wallet with 141,000 bitcoins was stolen what do you think would happen with the bitcoin price?
Suppose it is the coins held by the FBI and someone dare to hack them then they will help you spend the rest of the life under bars Tongue.
1037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 07, 2021, 10:28:36 PM
The primary reason why Pakistan is not playing is due to the tension between both countries. Australia and Newzealand should have been part of this tournament but I am sure they avoided it because of the COVID19 situation. Still, it is a big tournament and we as cricket fans will enjoy it.
I watched the highlights and it is interesting to watch but before i thought since these are retired players the matches will be slow and boring but it was above my expectation and if the ICC or any private company wants they can even create a T20 World cup for legends and it can generate audience especially those who bet on these matches.

~Yeah the young Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar was playing against the old generation of Bangladesh Tongue.
Looking at the match it looked like a strong Indian line up against a old Bangladesh team and you went and placed a bet on that and lost the bet Tongue.
1038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 07, 2021, 09:11:52 PM
~
I was really surprised by the coldness of Nunes, it was a really very fast combat, here strength is not measured so much but talent, mastery of techniques, Jiu Jitsu is one of the martial arts that with little force achieves much more than give more blows and see blood
Nunes did what she knows best, she is probably the hardest puncher in the history of women's MMA as she is finishing all of her opponents and it is incredible how she fine tuned her weakness and became an unstoppable force.

the Adesanya thing has gained experience, it is not bad when you have a failure, I think that Adesanya will prepare much more. At some point we will see a rematch.
Jan Błachowicz is 38 years old and he might fight for another two years and i do not think we will see a rematch, the took the loss positively and he will come back strong and he wanted to test his skills in a higher weight division and that failed but he is still the Middle weight champion and he will rule the division for a long time.

In Jan's statements he said that it would have been better if the KO, but it was not, the 1st Round was pure knowledge of each other, they studied their movements, Adesanya chose to move away, that was his strategy, he must work more on how to defend himself better when on the floor, maybe more Jiu Jitsu techniques.
It is more of a weight advantage than learning techniques and Jan Błachowicz had a great plan on taking the fight to the ground in the championship rounds rather than trying when he was expecting in the first two rounds of the fight.
1039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: "People who have invested on ETH soon will be poor", said CZ #BSC on: March 07, 2021, 08:14:46 PM
Time to move on to Binance Smart Chain, shall we?
#BSC
If you are planning to create a project or you have a project running in ETH then you can move to Binance smart chain, other than that if you think that the price of BNB will rally you invest in their coin and looks like you have invested heavily in it and CZ is trying hard to attract projects to use their chain and he might be offering some other options like discounts to list the coins in the exchange and with ETH transactions getting delayed we will see some projects moving to BSC.
1040  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee charged with fraud over cryptocurrency on: March 07, 2021, 05:44:01 PM
For me, alongside Mark Karpeles and Craig Wright, John McAfee ranks as one of the worst enemies of cryptocurrency. I hope he will spend the rest of the his miserable life behind bars, without any possibility of a parole.
Mark Karpeles scammed with mtgox and John McAfee scammed by promoting scam projects but no one lost money with the claims of Craig Wright.

The Americans are trying to get him extradited for some time, but this guy managed to avoid that until now. Once he is deported back to the United States, he will be tried for the 2012 murder of Gregory Faull. A few years back, a US Federal District judge ordered McAfee to pay a compensation of $25 million, but he ignored the judgement.
If John McAfee is extradited to the US then he will be spending the rest of his life in jail and knowing that he will be trying his best to defend that from happening.
He was planning to eat his own dick and he might get the opportunity to take as many dicks as possible if he is extradited back to the US Grin. Fuck him as he was shilling hard for scams and he was adamant that he does not care if it is a scam which means he accepted his fate.
