1221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I introduced cryptocurrency to my friends by using DOGECOIN on: January 18, 2021, 03:43:49 PM
@Aliceooo78 You advice Sushi while you did not clarify why you think like that when the developer once ran away with the money and the binance pressurized him to return and still i am not sure about the facts whether binance is playing around with the investors and whether the real developer ever returned.
Dogecoin is the perfect coin to introduce someone new in the market because of its low transaction charges as well as the low valuation and you could learn about securing your assets and then shift the focus on bitcoin.
1222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long will the SEC lawsuit against Ripple last? on: January 18, 2021, 02:33:20 PM
Some says that the lawsuit will be dropped or that there will be a settlement before the actual lawsuit starts (22nd of February).
Some say that that the lawsuit might last months or even years.
It will take months to get to the final verdict and right now some of their business partners are planning to stop using them and it will be a huge loss for their business model and some of the exchanges already delisted them.

The argument will be whether XRP is a security or not and it will be hard to prove otherwise.
1223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reinvest initial investment, or keep profits? on: January 18, 2021, 02:00:50 PM
I plan on keeping what I have left in BTC for the long term. My question is purely about the initial investment that I took out again.
If you think that the market will rally further you can ride the market and book your profit once you identify that the market is going for a huge sell off, it is a bit risky but it is possible but then it begs the question why you booked your profit so early. The best option is to wait for the major correction in bitcoin and then invest once again or find another investment market rather than keeping it idle.
1224  Economy / Speculation / Re: Tether on: January 18, 2021, 11:25:51 AM
So I think even if FUD, the tether story has sufficient noise in the net to affect the price.

I had been expecting tether to die a few years ago. The fact that it hasn't is plus in my book that tether is legit.
There is still time for that, the authorities will scrutinize the entire market in the next 5 years and it is inevitable, if i am not wrong investigation regarding Tether is going on and i am sure they will be audited and then we will get a clear picture about how they are minting billions worth of coins whenever the price of bitcoin starts rallying.
1225  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will reach 100K! OK and then? on: January 18, 2021, 10:18:16 AM
That is true and we do not know what could be the high price for 2021 and what if it just get dumped badly, though I do not think it may take that long time like from 2107 to 2020 it took to reach ATH again, but it could be much sooner than that due to various institution getting involved, bitcoin is being also being bought by people who ignored in start and said to be bubble etc.
Do you think that the 2017 rally is made possible just by individual investors, these institutional investors who are pumping money into the market made their investment during those period as well and they booked their profit and so is the reason we saw a huge correction after touching its all time high valuation and we should expect the same as these investors will book their profit.
1226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why did Bitcoin catch fire? on: January 17, 2021, 09:22:49 PM
Bitcoin has gone through 11 years since its inception and has experienced ups and downs, but Bitcoin now stands at the pinnacle of cryptocurrencies, it's not the strongest technology, but it has the highest market cap, what do you think caused this?
Since you claim that bitcoin is not having the strongest technology,i would like to know your list of cryptocurrencies that is superior than bitcoin, do not include centralized coins like Ripple or USDT or any other bitcoin forks which include source rip offs like Litecoin Tongue.
I do not view ETH as a currency if you are going to say that and it is not a truly decentralized project as they do not have consensus if they want to fork the coin which we have seen in the past.

So what do you think is superior, price should not be a factor for superior technology, bitcoin is a highly speculative market and hence you will see these rallies.
1227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum now looks like a complete joke on: January 17, 2021, 08:44:20 PM
What are the chances that SEC will regulate this project? If this happens, the price will collapse. If this does not happen, then Ethereum has a good chance to rise in price.
There is a high chance that SEC will intervene when the price is rallying high taking the market down, with happened with XRP and the lawsuit, i am expecting something similar as ETH also conducted an ICO and collected money from everyone even from the US and i am sure they will cite this reason and file some sort of lawsuit in the near future.
1228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All of a sudden they want to join crypto. on: January 17, 2021, 07:54:27 PM
Parents wanted me to be any of the above and now they're in my dm's trying to learn about crypto and how I make 6 figures from holding/staking altcoins like $BET $LINK $ ADA. Hmmmmmmmmm life.
If you are really making 6 figures staking or holding the coins then it is really huge, i am in the market for a long time but i am yet to make this level of money on a consistent basis. There are times i made that kind of profit in the past and now i am yet to sell some of my holdings but will take my position in a couple of months.
I will check out the coins you mentioned as i am not holding any of those coins.
1229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Paquiao VS Connor McGreggor? on: January 17, 2021, 06:14:34 PM
I still have doubts whether this fight will go ahead as planned or not. For McGregor, at least for now the priority seems to be his rematch against Dustin Poirier. And from what I have heard, Pacquiao is pretty busy with political commitments. Both the players are saying that the fight may happen this year. But that is a big "may". Until the date is finalized, I am not going to take it seriously.
Conor McGregor and Dana White was in good terms for a while but now it looks like they have sorted out their difference from the recent interviews i saw and now it is a possibility that Dana White will dance to the tune of Conor McGregor as they can make huge money if they can hype the fight against Manny Paquiao. Manny already expressed his interest in the fight and hence it wont be a difficultly if the UFC accepts the deal.
1230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 17, 2021, 05:24:11 PM
Seems they understood their mistakes and learnt a lot from their first innings and as a result played well in second innings and made 359 as against 135 in first innings.
They should have calculated all these before the series started so that they could have a fighting chance Grin. I am not denying the fact that Sri Lanka tried to play for a longer time but they conceded a big lead as they played really bad, may be because the wicket was aiding the bowlers and once the pitch settled down the batting became easy.

If Sri Lanka had a lead over 150 runs then the match would be interesting as they picked 3 wickets already.
1231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - February 20 on: January 17, 2021, 02:23:45 PM
The profile of Logan Paul supporters is diametrically different from Mayweather fans. Most of them are not boxing fans as such, and they are interested in this match only because their hero is taking part. Last time also, more than a million of them purchased PPV for the match against KSI. But then, the PPV was priced much lower than the price-tag for this match. But then, this is like a once in a lifetime opportunity for them.
When Logan Paul started these kind of boxing tournaments some of the boxing fans and retired fighters were laughing at him but once they knew that Logan Paul has a huge following that are ready to purchase his pay per views majority of the boxers started supporting this attraction as it will help boxing in the long run as it is attracting the casual fans and those fans would stay and it is a win win situation for everyone.
1232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Paquiao VS Connor McGreggor? on: January 16, 2021, 11:59:50 PM
~
getting attention isn't always good especially when a great fighter with decades of experience and excellent record fought a fighter with one professional fight which is a lose. sure McGregor is a great fighter in MMA but in boxing, he is still an amateur I'd be more impressed if he started at the bottom and made his way to the top and fights great boxers and I'd be more than happy to watch his fights just like on MMA. the reason why I said it is derogatory is these kinds of fights just shows the sport has become more of an easy money grab for popular people and is lowering the standard of who can fight who.
The difference between a normal professional bout and a cross over fight with one of the biggest celebrity in McGregor is always an attractive fight for any boxer and the market value and the hype made the Floyd fight a spectacle and you cannot deny the fact that McGregor had some great moments in the fight and Mayweather had to take the fight deep and test his stamina which he lacked and then he was able to stop the fight.

After all, i will be happy if Manny Paquiao is able to make a hundred million if he fights Conor McGregor and he should retire rather than sticking around as he has done everything and proved the world and age is catching up.
1233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Paquiao VS Connor McGreggor? on: January 16, 2021, 04:02:00 PM
I was looking for future possible fights in boxing where I can bet and stumble upon this news. apparently, both side has been in talks of possible fights between Pacquiao and McGreggor.
This is a speculation that is going on for a while and even during the recent media interviews Conor McGregor responded about the speculation when asked by reporters. If the fight is to take place Dana White and the UFC should give Conor McGregor the approval.

I am a huge fan of boxing and seeing great boxing fighters with decades of experience fighting amateurs(yes, consider McGregor an amateur at least in the boxing world) is really disappointing and is derogatory to the sport. but I'd still watch the fight though. can't pass a Pacquiao fight especially when he can retire at any moment now due to his age.
It is all about money and Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor fought and they recorded as the biggest draws in the history of the sport and there is nothing derogatory when boxing gets more eyes and reach more fans.
1234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trust your gut on: January 16, 2021, 02:53:38 PM
My whole family told me to sell bitcoin when it dipped from 41k to 30k (i bought at 10k). I just laughed and HODL’d. If you believe in something don’t allow yourself to get influenced by family or people online.
I used to see these kind of topics in the past where the family is involved in your investment. I cannot understand why family is getting involved in your business. We will see a market correction and it is inevitable but you need to understand the market situation and take decisions accordingly rather than taking advice who have no idea about the market.
1235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sorry guys.. Bitcoin is not for our day-to-day transactions. on: January 16, 2021, 11:07:48 AM
No, bitcoin was originally conceived as an alternative means of payment to the existing payment system specifically for everyday transactions. However, their number has now grown so much that, given the sharp increase in its price, it has really become profitable to use it only for large transactions. Perhaps this status will be fixed for bitcoin.
If you check the facts, it is a decentralized currency and the long term plan of Satoshi will be a currency that could be used for everyday transactions but did he complete the project before going dark. So in hindsight it was an experimental project and hence Satoshi did not even stay long to make necessary changes and the people who were hooked with the project started contributing and it is still under development when it comes to scaling.

Right now it is a speculative market and i am still hoping we will find a proper solution for scaling rather than having third party solutions.

It will be very difficult for Sangakkara to compete for the presidency of the ICC. But it is very easy for Sourav Ganguly. I hope I will see Sourav as the president of ICC. If he wants to run for the presidency of the ICC, the BCCI will give him full support.
I heard that Sourav Ganguly recently suffered a cardiac attack and with his health not looking good, do you think that he will be running for these positions. I hope he is recovering from that and i was surprised when i heard the news as he was looking healthy and was a sportsman and he is relatively still young.  Not too keen on the politics but Sangakkara is a good choice.
1237  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Casino & Sportsbook - Play Smarter 🚀 🎰 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 🎲 on: January 15, 2021, 11:41:31 PM
I hope it will be resolved soon, if anyone can put me in contact with them please it would be really helpful.
If the live support asked you to contact the technical team through mail then it will take a couple of days to get a response from them. Not sure why they have frozen your account but i am sure they will sort your issue in a timely manner. Usually they block the account if the team find something suspicious about your activity, just clear those and even in the thread you did not provide every detail.
1238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua on: January 15, 2021, 10:58:32 PM
Finally the battle everyone is looking forward for a very long time. Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua is the fight we wanted to see rather than Wilder rematch and i am glad they are able to move away from that fight and put on exciting fights which is really good for boxing.

They did not announce the location yet, most probably they will be fighting in Saudi Arabia or somewhere in the middle east as both these fighters will be earning a huge amount.
1239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 15, 2021, 10:30:24 PM
Srilanka 135/10 and Joe root 168 (not out)  Grin. It seems that Joe Root alone defeated Sri Lanka  Wink. However, Sri Lanka is having a very bad time. The Test series is completely one-sided. Sri Lanka is not able to fight at all. At least I didn't expect it to be a bad performance. Although I did not think Sri Lanka would win, I thought they would fight at least a little bit. But they broke my hopes. They will lose by an innings and huge runs.
I am not familiar with the members in the Sri Lankan team and i expected this to happen as it is not that easy to tour Australia or England with inexperienced players and expect extraordinary results.

Australia having a good team is facing a completely depleted Indian team and yet they are not able to dominate them is really disappointing.
1240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is better, ether or bitcoin? on: January 14, 2021, 11:58:37 PM
What do people think? Is it better to invest, say, 100 dollars in ether or bitcoin?
Right now i would search for coin that has a much lower valuation which has the potential to rally in the next few months rather than investing in bitcoin or ETH when the price is rallying at an all time high valuation. If you look at the market, the price of Polkadot
rallied a lot today and you could find some coins that have the potential that could reap you a much bigger benefit with $100.
