1141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man arrested in Germany keeps $60 Million dollars in Bitcoin from the police on: February 06, 2021, 11:24:08 PM
There it is.  They can't seize the money because they can't get the password. Apparently the police has somehow made sure that he can't access his funds.

I wouldn't be so sure, all he needs is a backup of his wallet, but maybe he skipped on that little detail. He supposedly served a 2 year sentence and is now free.
I have read this article about a scammers sentenced to jail and now he is released but the authorities are not able to access the bitcoin because he forgot his password. The fact is that he already completed his jail term and if he is not going to provide the password then there is no way they are going to unlock it and from the article they think that he cannot do anything with the coins since the wallet is in their custody Cheesy.
1142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cz taking advantage of the Nigerian government ban on bitcoin wrongly. on: February 06, 2021, 08:49:13 PM
Exchange is not safe, But Changpeng Zhao's tweet makes a lot of sense from another perspective, what should we do in such a situation? The Nigerian government has announced to ban cryptocurrencies. So what to do now for those who had NGN in holding!
The stupid dork Changpeng Zhao can be silent in a situation like this, why does he think that he needs to tweet everything and what is the implication if he sit silent, he is not under the authority of the Nigerian government and he does not need to comment on everything if he really cared about bitcoin and the users who are using his exchange.
1143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 06, 2021, 11:12:12 AM
Joe Root leading from the front and everyone chipped in with their performance and they were able to reach 550 runs which is a really great score considering India had three spinners and the England batsman were able to counter everything and was able to score runs. Kohli will be under pressure to perform and save the match as India performed well without his presence and if India is defeated then you will hear voices about changing Kohli as a captain.
1144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua on: February 06, 2021, 08:34:36 AM
~
It's a positive kind of hard work, Joshua has easily redeemed his name and if he make an excuse during the loss, he was right since he dominated Ruiz in the rematch, unlike Wilder of course that he never win a single fight against Fury but fans weigh the fight of Fury is bigger than AJ since Fury came as the underdog in the first fight while AJ was the favorites in both fights.
I am certain that Tyson Fury made more fans when he returned after a long gap undergoing depression and ballooning up to 400 pounds and to make a come back and fight the champion in Wilder who everyone claimed to be the hardest puncher in history and i am sure Wilder choose Tyson Fury because no one retires from boxing and makes a successful come back after going through all these troubles and Wilder thought it would an easy fight and add Fury to his legacy, but that plan back fired big time and now Wilder is trying to convince others with all the excuses in the world and he might be cursing the decision to even fighting Fury. Cheesy
1145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 06, 2021, 05:29:43 AM
Although Pakistan did not bat well yesterday but they have bowled very well and managed to take 5 wickets for South Africa cheaply. If they could make bowl out south africa quickly, they have a good chance to get hold of this test match also.
South Africa is struggling and if they could bat longer they can score runs but they lack the batsman that have the temperament to stay in the crease with patience and rebuild the innings, Pakistan will win the match unless they under perform in the second innings with bat and ball.

England is countering the Indian bowlers with ease and toss made all the changes as the spinners are not getting that much assistance from the pitch and Joe Root is leading from the front and he might go on to score more than a double century and if they set out a score of above 500 then it will be a great battle to see how India will counter the situation.
1146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: May-Pac 2, will it finally happen? on: February 06, 2021, 12:00:20 AM
Don't forget one thing : Mayweather is still undefeated, he has never lost one single match until now, so he just wants to remain a legend as long as he can... But if he loses a fight against another opponent, he won't be afraid anymore of that and will fight Pacquiao with pleasure!
Floyd Mayweather is undefeated in his professional career and he already retired from the sport to have a blemish in his professional record and he will only come out of retirement to face fighters who are at the end of his career like Manny and with their history it will be one of the most anticipated fights and Mayweather lost 8 fights during his amateur boxing career, so he understands what loosing means.
1147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is how mass adoption looks like. on: February 05, 2021, 11:27:37 PM
Mass adoption is not about banks, neither about instituional money.

This is mass adoption.
I just want to buy coal, eggs and chicken with bitcoin.
I would like to have an adoption like this globally where all the local stores starts accepting cryptocurrency and that is the real adoption. The users make the difference and the institutional money is all about making their profit and not to help the market in any way, yeah it might put eye balls and force people to invest thinking they could profit but adoption truly means everyone able to use them on a daily basis but the biggest problem is that we are yet to scale to reach those levels.
1148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 05, 2021, 08:15:10 PM
Batting as long as you can is important in a test match than scoring runs hope Pujara and Rahane will do that job.
Joe Root is in good form and he was in complete control in his innings and might score another double century and they still have Ben Stokes even though he did not play the Sri Lankan series he is an impact player and then they have Jos Buttler who did not score big in Sri Lanka but he can make an impact anytime. The morning session is important for England and if they can survive the initial spell then they could score big and put India in the back foot.
1149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin with over 200% increased, what happen? on: February 05, 2021, 07:27:44 PM
I know it's just temporary, the market is bullish so the sentiment is still there, but I don't expect that DOGE will break its current high this year.
I think slowly DOGE will dump back as its hype is going to die soon, no tweet no hype and tweet just have temporary effect.
Who knows what will happen, i am waiting for the market to go down so that i would like to purchase some, usually i used to gamble with doge and with the price starting to rally i did indeed book my profit as i did not expect this rally when i purchased and now i am waiting for the market to go down so that i could gamble as usual  Cheesy.
1150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The gambling black market thrives in Britain on: February 05, 2021, 04:39:31 PM
Have you ever used illegal black market to make a bet ? Gamble ? When the normal opportunities were not available ? But what do we think about Britain? In the Britain the black market gambling have more than just doubled , which is a matter of concern for everyone and not just the government.
I am not too keen on getting into trouble but i usually do not check all the gambling sites whether they are legal or not. If the illegal gambling black market is said about physical ones then i never tried my luck there, but if there are online sites, i usually do not check whether they are running legally or not and any government can term them illegal gambling houses if they are not registered with them. All i look is whether the site can be trusted and if anyone trust these gambling houses irrespective of the endorsement from the government i do not see a problem  Grin.
1151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 05, 2021, 05:47:53 AM
The series between India and England started, India is playing with three spinners which was a surprise which means the pitch will start turning in the final days and luckily England won the toss and elected to bat first and they had a good start and if they can carry on with the momentum then it will be a great match and i expect England to be competitive as they had a great series against Sri Lanka.
1152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Faketoshi: back at it again with more false evidence on: February 03, 2021, 04:51:39 PM
What i did not understand is that where was the claim published, i personally do not care about who Satoshi is until the reason person wanted to come out with the proof, until then it is better to avoid promoting anyone else and we have seen many threads promoting CSW even though all the topics are created to bash him but that is one kind of publicity and it is better to avoid them.
1153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: May-Pac 2, will it finally happen? on: February 03, 2021, 01:46:07 PM
As expected Logan Paul Vs. Mayweather will not create such hype because of a mismatch. I think Mayweather's influence in boxing is not as much as it was before since he retired. He kept on doing promotional fights for money since he retired.
It was an exhibition bout they planned and that cannot create that much interest because of the mismatch and they cannot dream about making millions by selling the PPV, they can be successful if some rich country sponsor the fight.

I am not a Mayweather fan because of his fighting style, he likes having underdog fights to keep his records clean which I think is not amusing for athletes.
No one is a big fan of Mayweather and all of his fights had huge following because they wanted to see him defeated  Cheesy.

As a fan i would love to see Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather fight again but i will only believe the fight to happen once both the fighters sign the agreement.
1154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 03, 2021, 09:13:24 AM
So far i didn't find T-10 format interesting, may be because we hardly see any premier international players in such tournament. Windies players do feature once a while but its not enough. Although things could change drastically once "The 100 ball" tournament kicks in or Big teams starts playing T-10.
May be in the future you will see many teams playing the T10 format, the problem is that it is too short for a cricket match and it is difficult to predict and it is not that interesting to see the batsman dominating the bowlers all the time. I like the contest between bat and ball rather than batsman having undue advantage.
1155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People die from heart attack when they hit the jackpot. on: February 01, 2021, 09:49:11 PM
I cannot imagine how if the minors winning the jackpot. What they will do because I think they need to verify if they are already 18 years old. I don't think that the casino will accept that and give the money since they are still young.
Suppose a minor wins the jackpot do you think that he or she cannot find any elder to help him cash out.

Most of the older people who keeps spending on lotteries begin it from the young age. In my opinion it isn't addiction. From the young age onwards it has termed to be a habit to spend regularly on lotteries. Even now in my locality there are people in the age of 25-35 spending regularly on lottery.
You call them as a habit to purchase a lottery on a regular basis but majority will say it is an addiction Tongue. I do take lottery and gamble but not on a regular basis, just happy to do that once in a while rather than becoming addicted.
1156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Tether go into crisis like XRP? on: February 01, 2021, 08:12:23 PM
its petrifying if tether will be attacked by SEC by the time there is a bear market and we all have saved our money on USDT. i heard the smart contract of ERC20 USDT can be frozen and that's the scariest of all nightmares. its like they can destroy the lives of crypto users, more than half od the traders i believe is using tether.
I did not think about the possibility of SEC lawsuit during a bear market, it is going to burn many if that happens as many hold their profit in USDT and there need to be another option to hold the coins for everyone, i am holding the coins in Euro as i am expecting some sort of lawsuit against USDT in the near future and when that happens you never know how bad it gets.
1157  Economy / Speculation / Re: At long term — Could 1 sat equals 1 USD? on: February 01, 2021, 07:10:37 PM
As far as 1 sat=$1, I think that's been asked about quite a few times since I've been on the forum.  I've never thought it was possible, but after seeing how high doge got pumped by the Reddit squad, now I'm starting to wonder.  After all, bitcoin does have a finite supply, and if the pump (and presumably dump) group were big enough or had enough money.....yeah, could happen.
Right now if you make a bitcoin transaction you need to spare 3000 Satoshi and we could get it confirmed in a few hours, how many dollars you are planning to shell out as transaction fees and with these restrictions there is no way we will see those valuation until we find some magical scaling solution where you can send bitcoin with a few satoshi.
1158  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think that bitcoin could hit 10 million ever? on: February 01, 2021, 05:41:32 PM
In today's money it is but there's inflation to factor in too...

Under the assumption bitcoin replaces the monetary system of about 2 billion people, then a $200 trillion market cap is feasible.
There is another feasibility if the valuation of US dollar goes down due to inflation like Zimbabwe national currency where 100 trillion is just below a dollar Tongue. If you are assuming these valuation what is the transaction charges you will be paying. I will gladly book my profit and move away from bitcoin as i am not here in the market to pay higher transaction charges which does not make any sense  Tongue.
1159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua on: February 01, 2021, 04:25:20 PM
~
But let's forget about that as we are about to know the best fighter and we would know once this fight will be realized.
The biggest advantage Anthony Joshua always had was that he was able to attract huge crowds even if he was fighting a journeyman and the Ruiz upset was a wake up call and the good thing was that he accepted the defeat and worked hard, not like Wilder who is always trying to come up with excuses one after the other.

I have no doubt that this will be the biggest fight in history and if they allow audience they can fill a big stadium.

Off course, an underdog only has a less chance to win in the fight, that's according to the bookmakers, but they could also win.

This fight is a big proof that underdog could win.
No doubt Teofimo Lopez win was the biggest upset but i saw that as a really close fight, the fight hangs on how you score the first 7 rounds but if the fight takes place in UK then we expect good judges to score these high profile fights.
1160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Top coins to pay at online casino. on: February 01, 2021, 02:04:38 PM
With the price of bitcoin going higher i am playing with TRX and Doge for a while and once in a while i will be using other coins as well but not bitcoin for a long time as i do not want to risk loosing the coins when the price could explode once again. If there are sure matches which i think i could win then i might be using bitcoin, until then i will be happy with Doge or TRX.
