1041  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Guy using bitcoin to cover his tracks while running from the authority on: March 07, 2021, 05:08:50 PM
a father running from the authority is using bitcoin to cover his tracks while running from the authorities for kidnapping his daughter since 2019.
I decided to post it here to also spread awareness and for the people who might be in the area and might have come across this dude.
I am not sure how true this is, how can someone be a ghost and they might have just added the word bitcoin to get more attention, how can they know that he is using bitcoin to cover his tracks. It looks like a speculation that he might be drugging his 17 year old daughter and how come they reached that conclusion.

The news says he is on the move all the time but using a disguise but will he be changing his vehicle all the time whenever he is on the move. I do not think so he can do that and if the authorities really wanted they would have caught him already, may be the news came to light from the opposition party may be her mother providing these information to the news media.

Someone help me understand here...Israel Adesanya was challenging for the light heavyweight  championship as he was bidding to become a two division champion (light heavyweight + middleweight) but how did the bookies have Israel Adesanya  to be the favourite for the match against defending champion Jan Blachowicz in the light heavyweight division?
I know it was a close match  and it would have gone either way but wasn't Adesanya out of his element Roll Eyes anyway better luck next time Israel 🥊
Israel Adesanya was a dominant champion in the Middle weight division and he was undefeated and normally when an undefeated champion goes up in weight it will create a hype and so is the reason why Jan Blachowicz was overlooked by many is because they never respected his skills and thought he was a champion because Jon Jones vacated the title and that is how the odds are generated by the odds makers.

Amanda Nunes is the GOAT and they way in which she finishes fights is incredible and there is no other challenger in two divisions but i am hoping Julianna Peña will be her next opponent.

Pant and Sundar is in the crease, hope they will take the innings as long as they can, so they can think about getting any runs as lead.
Just imagine the sad pliight of the England bowlers, the fast bowlers Anderson and Ben Stokes bowled their heart out and picked up wickets which includes the famed batting lineup of Kohli, Rahane, Pujara and Rohit Sharma and once they thought that the tail is somewhat exposed there comes pant who scored another century in a difficult period and his status as a player is outstanding and two series ago i thought Pant was the weakest member in the team and now he is the most valuable player.
1044  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lowering the electricity bill by mining cryptocurrency on: March 05, 2021, 08:24:37 PM
Cold regions like iceland and russia are investing heavily in data centers using their cold climates to cool servers naturally without additional cost. Perhaps there is an opportunity for smaller miners in cold regions to do something similar via leveraging useful heat produced by mining rigs?
This is not a new method the miners are using in cold climatic conditions as they are using the heat produced to warm the rooms and i have seen images about rigs that were heating the room and saving electricity during 2015 and i have even seen pictures of the rigs in this forum but i do not remember the thread and i have searched now and did not get them, if i find the thread i will post them here.
1045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 05, 2021, 06:00:15 PM
The odds were attractive in some of the bets and i made a bet to see how it will go on the first innings total of 114 runs and the odds were pretty decent and luckily Bangladesh is batting well and i am sure the bet will win easily Grin.
If you are putting bets on old players and expect them to score over 114 it does have its risk and i saw the scoreboard and they started well but then they fell short and India cruised to victory without losing a wicket and their old master player Virender Sehwag demolished the Bangladesh bowlers and Sachin Tendulkar played a second fiddle and if you could place a bet on India you could have won  Tongue.
1046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao offered $10 million to fight Terence Crawford on: March 04, 2021, 11:16:57 PM

Then he has no reason to ignore this fight, every boxer wants a piece of Manny Pacquiao, even new fighters who have not yet reached their potential like Ryan Garcia wants him, he'll get his biggest paycheck then he'll get a chance to fight and beat the all-time great, Manny Pacquiao he should not say no.
Fighting Manny Pacquiao is a dream to many upcoming boxers just to launch them to stardom but the case with Terence Crawford is that even though he never had a big pay day now he might be dream of making them one day as he is having an undefeated record and the boxers do care about their undefeated record to make money in the final years of their career and fighting Manny even at his age is not an easy target Cheesy.
1047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 04, 2021, 10:39:58 PM
Another poor performance by England once again, they have lost all confidence in their batting and India is taking full advantage of it. England couldn't put partnerships together long enough to get them a higher score. The middle order at least made some runs to give them some chance but now India can take their time batting and pile on the runs. The morning session will be more vital for England as they need quick wickets to stay in this match.
Except for the first match England did not show any chance of a fighting spirit and India looked dominating and India is repeating their performance they showcased against Australia in the last series, failing miserably in the first match so that everyone doubts whether they can be competitive in the series and then produce incredible cricket for the rest of the series Cheesy.

Lucky guy! The chances of winning a 9 fold are pretty small but he was brave enough to bet over 1000$ on it. Special combination also with odds varying from 1.27 up to 2.35...
It is a bold bet as the odds were 56.32 and to spent $1000 is something not everyone would try. I used to do parlay but for a few dollars and nothing crazy amounts  Grin.

Rumor has it they got Tiger Woods for quite a discount.
It would be great if they could find an young athlete.

I heard rumors about whether the Monthly bonus will be eliminated? Recently in the stake community I saw talk about the Montly bonus being omitted because many people created accounts to be able to get bonuses.
trying to confirm in Support says "No need to worry".
They started KYC and they could enforce mandatory KYC for monthly bonus if they think that people are taking advantage of these bonus.

So this is not only about losing, even if a boxer will win he can also feel depress? I never know that but I'm glad it's been shared. So probably the depression Wilder has been going through is more serious since this is coming from a big loss in their rematch and it might take time before he can accept which is the only way for him to recover from that depression.
Anyone can go into depression at any given moment. The pressure of an athlete or any celebrity is high as every move is scrutinized and talked about and when you are in the spotlight all the time you might start feeling the pressure and to overcome that they will start using drugs to ease up their nerves and then it will end up as an addiction which will destroy them. Tyson Fury came out and told his issues so that if anyone is going through the same issues his experience could help them recover from these depressions.

1050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake.com announces Israel Adesanya as their Global branded ambassador on: March 01, 2021, 11:46:14 PM
Do you think Adesanya will be able to terminate Blachowicz before the bell?
This fight will last 5 rounds of 5 minutes.

According to his stats Adesanya's average fight time is 15:07
He won 75% of his fights by KO, and 25% by decision.
Triple winnings if Isreal Adesanya wins the fight by knockout or submission which is highly unlikely and it is pretty cool offer. The stats of Adesanya are great in Middle weight division but in this fight he is moving up the division and hence i am not sure whether he will be having the same impact, but if he was fighting in the Middleweight division i will go with Adesanya winning within 4 rounds.

This also raises a lot questions about the continuity of the tournament at the risk of players health.
Looks like they have everything under control as only one player was tested positive and the rest of the players are negative and even though they postponed the match i do expect that the series to continue and i am still puzzled with the way how only one player tested positive when they are placed in a safe bubble as per the standards followed by the teams in general.

The match is held in the same ground not sure the reason for it, because could have had 4 venues like for 4 matches which is generally the case. And now we know that the test match might not last more than 3 days or max the result should be on the 4th day. Also winning the toss and might want to bowl first since Indian in second innings were completely batting in a different way than the first innings and were better in timing the ball as well.
The pandemic might be the reason they are playing the matches in the same stadium. The first two matches took place in one stadium and the next two in another stadium. What i am waiting to see is whether they will be playing in the same pitch or another pitch  and with WTC entry on the line i think it is safe to bet on India to win irrespective of the toss as the last match showed that toss does not make a difference in this wicket.
1053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Long-term investment projects ? on: March 01, 2021, 10:19:21 PM
Among all the coins discussed here so far, I think DOT and BNB are the ones who have a strong market cap which shows that these projects are not just solid but also very popular among investors and traders alike which is important because a lot of good projects die in the long term as they suffocate in this crowded altcoin market and fail to make their space and find their identity.
It is highly likely people like to invest in coins that are popular and if that is not the situation BNB will not rally like it did and the reason everyone was citing was projects migrating to BSC and for that to happen when there are other platforms majority choose BNB because of the popularity of the coin because it is from a popular team.

I am not too sure but even TRX looks like a good option although I haven't seen much growth in the coin's price which again makes me wonder if it is worth holding and investing into it.
There are several coins that were well below a dollar and there was a huge rally in all of the small valuation coin and if there is a decent project with small valuation then i will invest again in the future hoping we will see those rallies.
1054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin end the dollar’s reign? on: March 01, 2021, 09:59:37 PM
The global currency is the one that facilitates cross-border trade, including investment and international debt markets. Global central banks hold foreign exchange currencies to protect against significant fluctuations in exchange rates, as well as in exchange rates. I think we are a long way from when Bitcoin will be able to do that.
If you look at bitcoin it is probably the best currency to replace any dominating currency for international trade and the only negative aspect you can tell is the high volatility and you cannot expect a currency to have really huge volatility and the traders will not trust anything that changes the valuation in a short period. If we overcome all those negatives then bitcoin could be a good alternative.
1055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk twitted - Doge on the actual MOON! on: March 01, 2021, 05:37:59 PM
You are right and that is also because people have understood that as much as Musk is promoting the coin, he isn't actually buying that many himself. I don't want Musk to do so, but if was actually so so considerate about dogecoins then he should have invested 1B or something close to that as he invested into Bitcoins.
Who knows what Musk is doing behind the scene, in the beginning he might be having fun tweeting about doge and when he found out that his having the influence to change the market he might be investing in the background and profiting from the outcome. You never know what is happening when he comes out with these tweets and with his company investing billions there is something boiling behind the scenes.
1056  Economy / Speculation / Re: ARE WE STILL BULLISH OR BEARISH ? on: March 01, 2021, 12:20:36 PM
Because the FUDsters said so for the entire week-end, "forgetting" about the fact that US money machine is being set to print more 1.9 Trillion green paper which will keep the voters happy and make HODLers richer.
So you think that the FUDsters pulled the market down?, the market was rallying for a long time and it is time some of the investors book their profit and i do see this correction as some of the early investors who made a good profit booking their profit and waiting for the right opportunity to enter once again if they think that the market will bounce back again.
1057  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predicts $100k before end of the year on: February 28, 2021, 11:49:36 PM
If we will consider the Bitcoin S2F model we will definitely hit the $100k at this year or maybe more , the creator of S2F model predicted a $55K btc price last 2019  and he is right we just hit $55k last week almost no one expected this price but it just happened.
I am yet to study about the model you are talking about. In the past when we see these prediction we would usually brush off as mere speculation and nothing else and since the price of bitcoin touched $55k it is time to look at his model of prediction  Grin. I still do not think that we will see a major correction now, we might go though a phase of minor correction and i am still expecting one more rally before the major correction.

What happens is that many of those that begin their careers in such a difficult sport begin as people that are very poor and then when they find themselves with so much success they do not know what to do with and they fall in all kind of temptations and the problem is that unlike other industries, like the music industry for example, they are athletes and they need their bodies to perform at the top level, and many times they end up destroying their bodies so there is no chance for a comeback story, it is rare for this to happen which should tell us how talented and out of the ordinary someone like Fury really is.
You said it perfectly, Sport psychology is more important and you need to get guidance from a sports psychologist and if Tyson Fury did that during his career he would have continued boxing without taking a break because of depression. I saw his speech about how he went into depression when all his goals were met when he defeated Wladimir Klitschko he had nothing else to accomplish and that was his ultimate goal in life and he went into depression after that.
1059  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake.com announces Israel Adesanya as their Global branded ambassador on: February 28, 2021, 10:47:06 PM
Hey guys, how are you doing Huh Adesanya's fight is coming !! How are those bets going Huh I have faith in Adesanya, his fighting technique is very good, on the other hand Blachowicz has a record with more wins but with more losses, Adesanya remains undefeated, maybe these statistics help for confidence.
You cannot convince yourself simply because he is an undefeated fighter does not mean that he will remain unbeaten. What i like about Israel Adesanya is the way in which he is trying to challenge himself and make the fight look easy and if he was looking to build the records for undefeated numbers he could have stayed in his division but he is moving up in weight class and challenging and it is going to be a fantastic fight.
1060  Other / Off-topic / Re: Corruption and Sports on: February 28, 2021, 10:17:23 PM
In my country every government during the election campaign have the statement we'll abolish corruption on the sports in the manifesto. Is this is common or I'm seeing this on my country. In each and every game, during the selection process bribe is being given. This has made several able sportsmen discontinue their passion on sports and do some routine job for their living.
Not sure which country you are from but if you could cite a few examples about a sportsman who discontinued their sport because of the intervention by the government and supposedly blackmail him. Looks like a soap opera and even if these are true you cannot hide these for a long time.

Same as this is the gambling, more key players are involved with match fixing even after getting huge sum of money after every match winning/losing. Why certain sportsmen have such greed towards money when people are starving to have a single meal on a day.
Can you point to matches which you think are fixed. It is hard to speculate and say about generic things and it would be easy if you could say about the matches you think were fixed.
