Maybe I just can't (or don't want to) believe that he scammed 19 bitcoins in the last ten months.  Not necessarily. As I mentioned earlier, the largest incoming TX is like 0.36 BTC / $15k, so he had at least that much at one point but it could be going in circles to make up the 19 BTC total. The whole shtick about a mysterious "exchanger" sounds about as contrived as the rest of the "mentor" story. If he was supposedly trading bank accounts, PayPal accounts etc it doesn't make much sense that he wouldn't be able to cash out his own bitcoins. |

In my last post, I was referring to the original idea of the badge reporter: getting a badge after X good reports. I can't see Theymos doing it manually  He could delegate the final approval of badges to mods who handle those reports anyway and know if the 5000 reports were useful or some fluff to pad the stats. Yeah, I know it's not decentralized and whatnot but still would be better than nothing IMO. And mods could ask the user before approving a badge so that would take care of privacy concerns. |

I don't know how people do business in Estonia, but providing someone else with "bank accounts to cash out paypal funds" seems very strange to me, and I don't know if I'd do that for anyone, even if they were a friend--and by your account vareole was someone you met on a forum and worked together doing who knows what. If you really are two different people (and you're not), I have no doubt you'd be aware that he's a scammer.
Could be hacked or otherwise illegitimately obtained PayPal accounts or funds of questionable legality. Probably wouldn't want to use their own bank account with something like that. Keep in mind that colires is doing "business" here (selling AWS, PayPal, exchange accounts etc) in a way that you can't really do with your real identity. |

I am not denying that it seems odd and people can think we are same person, but we are not.
I have known vareole for a while, we are both from Estonia. We met in other forum, outside of bitcointalk. He was the one who introduced me this forum.
Long time ago we worked together, I provided him bank accounts to cash out paypal funds. Everything was good until he lost his supplier and seems that was when he started scamming.
After that I started to sell my accounts here.
Yes, it seems that we both use Telia, they are market leaders here.
Yes we both use iphone.
Yes we both use same exchanger, because he was the one who introduced me to him and it has been working well for me.
Yes we are both from Estonia. Estonian population is 1,325 mln. There are way more people in bitcointalk from Estonia than only two of us.
Yes we both use common style of hiding sensitive data. We worked together every day and seems that stick to us.
While this is a lot of similar things we are still different people.
Everyone can have their own opinion and if someone think that I am vareole so be it. I have provided evidence for everything I have said previously. I have wasted a lot of more time here than I would like to. This is my last post here and after this I will put this section on ignore.
Meh, a "mentor" story. I was hoping for a "brother" or maybe a salacious "ex-girlfriend" drama. You should have asked nutildah to write you a better one, he has a way with words. Trouble is, on page 3 after a slow drip of evidence and contradictory denials it's impossible to tell you apart from a cornered scammer who would say anything after getting caught. |

Unfortunately Bitcoin is more and more entangled with the financial markets. And when drama like Evergrande happens (I've heard it being called "the Lehman Brothers moment"), you get the "conventional" investors dumping everything they can, including those bitcoins they got because everybody did. It's ironic considering Bitcoin's origins date back to the real Lehman Brothers crisis and we should in theory see the opposite movement, what with the whole intent being anti-bank safe haven. or just hope for a government bailout to help them through a few months to see if they can survive
The government said (through state media) that they won't bail it out. Not that they couldn't change their mind if it really gets out of control. |

Theoretically, he can, but never did nor did we feel the need to ask for one as it wouldn't have meant much since the private keys seem to have been kept on a possibly compromised email address. There were a lot of question marks that wouldn't have been answered even with the help of a signed message in this case.
There is one problem with this though. Someone hacks an account, burns it with a scam of some sort, and then on the way out says "by the way, my account got hacked and the hacker got private keys too". Then the real owner shows up, who possibly never really lost those private keys, and signs a message. I hope you have a bit more to go on than just a word of a (potential) hacker. |

Ok, so vareole seems to be Estonian, based on the date in that screenshot, as well as other details in the channel (e.g. SEB Pank is an Estonian bank). That's about 0.02% of world population... would be a fairly big coincidence on top of all the other coincidences if the language colires tried to scrub out of the screenshots earlier in this thread was also Estonian. You have to be stupid if you think that this wallet belongs to vareole.
That's a weird way of framing it. You sent bitcoins to the address, so who is the recipient? And if you're implying that the amount received by the address is large... it's not. It seems to have received up to $10-15k at a time, which could quickly add up hundreds of thousands simply by going around in circles. |

Funny you should say that, I did some math yesterday and if I was right (kinda doubtful, math rarely works after 3rd beer) then Aaron Jones needs to run the whole length of the field and score a touchdown.... ~5 times. Which is not impossible, they're playing the Lions  But yeah it's a bit of a long shot. Unfortunately for me, my beginner's luck won't be there when I'll need it, e.g. week 4 or 5 or 6 or 7 LOL. All of my players - except maybe Kittle - happened to have a great week but I can't rely on Bills D/ST bringing in 19 points every time. |
