Apparently the Russians will have to fly a Sukhoi superjet

Correction - half a jet, i.e. the half that's not made of foreign components. But that's ok, you'll still have Soviet-era trains when the Siemens-made ones stop running.

1442  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: March 22, 2022, 03:18:02 AM
Ukrainians will be fighting Russian aggressors to death.
Well, that means they'll die.

Yes, Captain Obvious, aggressors will die. That's the whole point.

trying on and crashing the car in the garage

If something like that happens you should probably slap yourself as a parent instead of slapping the child who is already scared shitless and will have to work two summers to pay for fixing the car.

Actually it is very easy to solve. Announce to the world US is no more empire and switch from the imperial gallon to the litre!

The US doesn't use the imperial gallon.
1445  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How long ukraine could survive? on: March 21, 2022, 03:51:17 PM
What you say about me does not characterize me, but you. Russia is the richest country in the world in terms of resources, so your concern about the state of our economy is completely in vain. Western sanctions hurt the West itself, as well as that part of the Russians who are already against Putin. Think about it at your leisure - has the West chosen an effective strategy to punish Putin, if in fact he is punishing himself in the first place?

Has the richest country figured out yet how to make anything from those resources or are you still flying in evil EU Airbuses and driving 1960s FIATs?

"The West" will have some short-term pain for sure. Putinland however will be fucked for a long time and every day of war digs the hole deeper.
1446  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How long ukraine could survive? on: March 21, 2022, 03:22:21 PM
Now there are a lot of fakes in the media

Yep, like this idiot here regurgitating Russian state media lies:

There is no goal to defeat Ukraine, only demilitarization and cleansing from Nazism.

It doesn't matter what you call it. Putin's snowflake dictionary has no meaning outside of his propaganda machine. He started a war that he's increasingly unlikely to win and you'll be lucky if he doesn't completely destroy Russia's economy in the process.
1447  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How long ukraine could survive? on: March 21, 2022, 03:01:23 PM
Without control over airspace, the Ukrainian army is doomed to defeat, with or without Javelins. And NATO prudently refused to close the airspace. I do not think that the Ukrainians are so stupid as to fight to the last Ukrainian without a chance of success.

No, the Ukrainians are not stupid to believe that any kind of surrender to Putin would be better than fighting. This isn't about "the Ukrainian army" anymore. To defeat Ukraine it would take a genocide that'd make Stalin blush. Putin would have to kill and deport millions of Ukrainians. Can he do it before his economy collapses? While making new missiles (and airplanes, and pilots, etc) faster than he loses them?
1448  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How long ukraine could survive? on: March 21, 2022, 01:49:29 PM
I see you are far from understanding such things. The Kinzhal hypersonic missile blah blah blah

Again, shelling civilians is hardly a defining or desirable attribute of a military victory. The question now is whether Putin has enough missiles to level Ukraine and kill every Ukrainian.

These are not democratic elections, when the population is asked about something.

Of course. Putinists wouldn't know democracy if it hit them in the ass (with a Javelin).

Don't know where you reside but damn been cold in recend weeks and ground still forzen, you know winter and such...

That's exactly the military strategy I'm talking about. The ground must be frozen in Ukraine because it's frozen in Murmansk.... oops.

You are ill-informed, or tend to wishful thinking. Operation "polite people" in the Crimea was carried out without a single shot being fired. Operations in Abkhazia and North Ossetia were also swift and successful. The peacekeeping mission in Syria showed the whole world the power of Russian missile weapons, it seems then that Russia tested its "Caliber" missiles in combat conditions. The recent defeat of a fortified underground armory near the border with the Polish "Kinzhal" hypersonic missile was also very spectacular and, most importantly, effective. NATO countries have no analogues of such missiles and will not have them in the foreseeable future.

And yet this amazingly powerful hypersonic military force is stuck in the mud and getting smoked with rotten capitalist Javelins. How many missiles does Russia make per day? I bet it's less than they launch.

During any military operation, collateral casualties among the civilian population are inevitable. Especially when Ukrainian ultra-right nationalists hide behind civilians as a shield and set up firing points in residential areas. Losses among the civilian population could have been much greater if Russia had not taken care of minimizing them.

Just like they "minimized" Grozny to a pile of rubble. As I said, that's the only "winning" strategy they have when the population doesn't want to be "liberated".

1450  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How long ukraine could survive? on: March 21, 2022, 10:51:46 AM
delusions

Things must be really bad for Kremlin if you made it to the English boards.

Putin's army is able to "fight" only unarmed civilian population. When met with any kind of strategy and/or weaponry, it turns into cannon fodder. The only advantage it has is quantity but that's slowly changing.

Rigon, Wiwo, I think we need to wait for the start of receiving applications, and then send them here.
Why spoil the fun, Ratimov?  Cheesy

Yeah don't interfere with the sting operation.

1452  Economy / Reputation / Re: Trust abuse on: March 20, 2022, 10:51:42 PM
And yet here you are back creating issues like the person you really are when there are no issues just because you are the Vanishing Yogg that we all know you are. Look at all your negative feedback from others...that speaks for itself.

I don't know what happened between you two, but I don't see "all [yogg's] negative feedback from others". There isn't anything particularly negative in his trust ratings except a few idiots. If you have a trade issue, create a flag, provide evidence, and ask to support the flag, instead of abusing the trust system with sockpuppet inclusions/exclusions.

Edit: grammar.
1453  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What are the US' true intentions for themselves and Ukraine? on: March 20, 2022, 10:26:59 PM
You are further proving my implied points. Anyone who even questions the United States and the West is "disloyal" and "pro-Putin" apparently. I never once mentioned Ukraine's sole intentions in terms of their relationship with Russia, I was questioning the US themselves and what they seek to gain from this conflict, and their other policies.

You can question anything you want but if you decide to post your delusions publicly you should expect to be ridiculed for it. Unless you're in Russia, in which case being delusional is vital for survival.

My dad's side of the family are Moldovan, I've seen and heard first hand what the fear of a Russian invasion/incursion looks like. I spent my younger school years in Belgium, but whenever I visited Moldova or Romania, you were always told that if you heard the phrase: "Au sosit rușii, aveți grijă", which in essence means "The Russians are coming for us, protect yourself", then you should seek shelter immediately, because Moldova has always been a conflicted state in terms of whether they should join the EU, or remain under Russian influence, as they were until 2009.

If you want to take my posts out of context that's fine, but do not insult and attack people because their views are different to yours. I am not Pro-Putin, but I am not in favour of the way the West has/have handled this situation. I have seen its ramifications first hand, Moldova is a pillaged state.

When you start your fallacy-ridden essay with "why did NATO continue to exist after the fall of the Soviet Union", no amount of excuses can obfuscate that. Justification for NATO's existence is in full display right now. Putin didn't attack e.g. Lithuania to close the Suwalki gap because of NATO. If NATO didn't exist or hadn't expanded, he'd have started picking off smaller Eastern European countries 10-15 years ago.

The rest of your conspiracy and whataboutism shit is lifted straight from RT, so spare us the sob stories about your Moldovan family. There are idiots in every nation.
1454  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What are the US' true intentions for themselves and Ukraine? on: March 20, 2022, 06:50:53 PM
Has it ever occurred to you (or any other putinists here) that some - well, most, with rare exceptions being totalitarian shitholes like Belarus - countries/nations/people do not want to join the new Russian/Soviet empire. And would fight against it regardless of what the US or NATO does or doesn't do.

Rhetorical question, don't bother.

Edit: spelling.

17th century LOL

RT doesn't want you to know this, but...

Ancient Kievan lands... 1000 years ago, since before Moscow even existed.

1456  Other / Meta / Re: Monthly Report Statistics on: March 19, 2022, 11:47:36 PM
Do you have a source for this?

I reported my own post and deleted it. It turned to "Good".

Having to wait a minute for the status of a report to get updated is strange behavior.

There are other places on this site where updates are not real-time so I don't find it "strange" at all.

Also the report page says: "When a post is deleted, reports for it will sometimes stay in unhandled status for some time before moving to handled status."

More importantly, a reporter's individual report stats are not necessarily important in these cases. What is important is that a mod sees the report, and has the opportunity to research the issue and take action.

I don't know what you're still babbling about. You made a claim (sorry, "remembered") that seemed to be incorrect so I checked. Mods can't see deleted posts anyway, nor should they take action on deleted posts, so whatever.
1457  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: March 18, 2022, 11:43:37 PM
Sure, lets ignore independent information

No, I don't think that's a good thing and you shouldn't cherry pick information from whichever side you like so that it fits your narrative:

But the reality is, UA side claims 14.000 killed RU troops and UN puts civilian casualties at 726.

I don't particularly care since your whole civilian-to-military ratio is meaningless. Just pointing out your hypocrisy re "independent information".

As far as UN's ability to count civilian casualties, don't fool yourself, they have much better access to accurate numbers in Ukraine now than their numbers in Yemen, Afghanistan, Libya, Iraq, Syria, Kosovo...

Their numbers are likely accurate but also likely late. The full picture is not known in real time and the UN report itself says that the real number is probably much higher.

Ahh I see, so at first the reason for keeping the civilians in the city for the siege was their own safety, and now the new reason is that there are just not enough roads to handle over 800 cars (even though 2000 cars managed to leave day prior)?

This was a direct response to your expectation that everyone should be evacuated at once. You must know something no one else does if you think that's possible.

Your mental gymnastics and reluctance to even allow the possibility of a thought that a neo-nazi battalion can do bad things is truly astonishing.

I never said or implied that. Your inability to provide proof is what raises doubts about "nazis" killing civilians in Mariupol (if we're still talking about that; kinda hard to follow your maneuvers). Plenty of proof exists of Russian forces attacking civilian targets. "Can do" and "do" is not the same.

I think you may have outdone yourself with the number if straw people in one post, good job.

Amazing story how ukrainians use drones and starlink internet to inflict heavy damage to rashist forces. Kaputin has no answer for that. His army is being disasembled mercilessly each night by 50 (!) squads of ukrainian drone pilots. Fuck russia!  Grin Grin Grin

Ouch... turns out China is supplying "military" hardware to Ukraine.

The problem however is, 98% of the posts I report on that gambling section are left unhandled while posts on other boards are almost 100% handled with tag good. So far I don't know what the problem is, could you please tell me about it and should I stop reporting posts on gambling board if it is unhandled in a long time?

I've noticed that very little if anything gets deleted e.g. in soccer discussion threads, even lame shit like "this team won this team is very good because player X played well and very good coach and <insert rephrased copy pasta from another post about another team two pages ago>" and yes, it's coming in bursts of posts across a few threads once or twice a week to fulfill their Gambling board quotas. I have mostly stopped reporting those, waste of time. Maybe I just don't understand soccer - this could be the expected level of intelligence for those discussions.

IIRC, BadBear had posted that if you report a post as being an excessive bump, and that post gets deleted (by the OP), your report will also get deleted (or presumably in a prominent status of "unhandled").

If the post is deleted by the author it's automatically marked as "Good" after a minute or two.

IIRC, BadBear had posted
