Both top seeds knocked out by last second field goals.

Happy retirement, Mr. Rodgers. Thanks for fucking up my bet.

I imagine DireWolfM14 is consuming copious amounts of fancy alcohol right now.

I have trouble following all the crypto news, but what do you mean by "ETH 2.0 releasing billions worth of ETH" ? Isn't the point of ETH 2.0 to go to a staking formula, and thus not a release but rather the opposite, more ETH staked ?

Staking is already happening but staked ETH2s are currently locked up in validators and can't be moved. A hard fork later this year (although given how slow Ethereum development is, it might be sometime in 2024) will allow those coins to be moved. Staking started in late 2020 when ETH was like $500, there's a good chance that substantial profit-taking will happen once withdrawals from validators are allowed. Unless it goes back below $500 by then.

So, the one underdog team you're not picking is the 9ers.  I see how you are.  We've never lost a playoff game to the Packers in the Aaron Rodgers era, but I'm afraid you're not wrong this time.  I hope we both are.

LOL, nothing personal but it's 12 degrees and a nasty windchill in Green Bay.

Edit:

I was definitely bullish on titans s at -3.5 but the bengles look like they came out to play tonight.  If titans lose tannehill instantly is on the hot seat.  They are a win now team with that squad and tannehill might be hiding them back.  Maybe they try to go in and get russ next year?

Yeah 3 interceptions with that last one basically handing the game to Bengals won't look pretty on his resume.
1764  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 22, 2022, 03:42:19 AM
... who's out to get me specifically? do you have evidence for that?

... why are you here if it is a shithole?

I don't have "somewhere else" to go. Don't be like me, get out while you can.

That's quite an achievement if you think about it. 2-3 thousand posts and not a shred of valuable contribution to this forum. I'd be shocked if any of them aren't just bots.

Edit: there are ~40 other users with 770+ activity, i.e. potential legendaries.
1766  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 21, 2022, 11:25:11 PM
... so my CIA outing post was deleted by the "moderator" ... infofront are we a controlled operation here now? ... just be good to know then I can go somewhere else, thnx.

They're definitely out to get you. And "somewhere else" sounds much nicer than this shithole, you should do that.
1767  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary merit stats on: January 21, 2022, 10:35:17 PM
So did some of you suffer the same fate as me?

The grass is always greener on the other side. If you ask newbies they'll tell you that legendaries are getting all the merits even though they don't "need" them.

The only thing that really matters is whether good posts (regardless of who posted them) are getting merited and if you feel that's not the case - report them here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5093271.0
1768  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 21, 2022, 07:57:30 PM
Sooo, it looks like WS "nobility" of the Fidelity and Black Rock are involved.
Gives you a perspective on this "dip"..similar to the internet dip of 2001-2002..just an excuse to load up on the cheap.

I think they're already loaded to the brim after 10+ years of bull run... just a matter of selling before the peasants.

Look at Netflix today, fucking hell.

Was it a SPAC? down 19%, just today. btfd?

Special purpose acquisition company... basically Wall Street bullshit that takes "shelf company" to a whole new level. They create a SPAC that does absolutely nothing but is listed on e.g. NASDAQ, with the sole purpose of eventually merging with an actual business (who presumably will want to merge with you because that gives them instant listing on NASDAQ). The SPAC "sponsors" - typically banks or venture capital firms - take their cut upon completing the merger and don't give two shits about the actual business. Not that I really mind Wall Street finding new ways to separate TikTok and Reddit kids from their money. Survival of the richest.

As a general rule, it’s the job of the person who makes the claims to prove them true.
Not the job of the person who calls the claims nonsense to disprove them.
I can’t disprove the claim there’s an almighty invisible sky fairy living in the heavens.
But I still call the claim nonsense anyway.

I'm sure someone has tweeted about it. That counts as solid proof these days. If it's got emojis and/or memes that's basically peer-reviewed.

Hey guys, who ended up winning your fantasy football league?  Looking forward to next year already!

DireWolfM14.

I'm going with Bengals, Packers, Rams, Bills, yeah Brady is probably going to screw up this bet but that's fine, no risk - no reward.

1773  Economy / Reputation / Re: Rules/criteria to change feedback on request on: January 20, 2022, 06:19:49 PM
Please, reread my post again. I stand behind it and I never claimed I have 50x-ed my capital until that point. All I said was the real truth: I have developed the bot, backtested it to get this results (backtesting means testing with back data mathematically without real money trading), and suggested someone to enter with bigger capital to kickstart me due to my low capital.

Defending it as some sort legitimate project just makes it worse. The only information you posted about that bot is that your backtest ended up with 50 BTC (and even that is just your words). You did not disclose any of the risks. You're asking for a percentage of profits but obviously not offering to cover the losses. Thus the "high risk" warning on your account is fully deserved.

We've seen these types of backtested bots here and they always result in a loss when real money is involved.
1774  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [POLL] Have you ordered your free Covid tests yet? on: January 20, 2022, 05:59:25 PM
We've had free* rapid antigen tests here in the UK for nearly a year now. Not sure what the process is in the US, but we don't have to send the actual test back anywhere, we just notify the NHS of the result, whether positive or negative. So no DNA-gathering.

Who do you think you are, going around telling people facts... stop immediately.

useless COVID tests that aren't needed

I can sort of understand whinging about masks and vaccines (because mandates etc) but what exactly is your problem with voluntary testing at home?

Even before the pandemic sane people used precautions - e.g. if you get the flu you don't go visiting small babies or elderly people, and don't go to work. Seems to be a bad thing now in the conspiratardiverse?
1775  Economy / Reputation / Re: Rules/criteria to change feedback on request on: January 20, 2022, 01:40:48 PM
~

Someone who can 50x their bitcoins in ~300 trades should be a billionaire already instead of begging for handouts here. It's utter bullshit and you don't need to worry about that trust feedback.
1776  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [POLL] Have you ordered your free Covid tests yet? on: January 20, 2022, 12:49:55 AM
I'm not from USA, so, I'm not eligible to get it. In my country only children who go to school get free tests every week which can be done at home.
If I would get chance to get such free tests, I wouldn't order it. If I feel well, why I would need to make test. If I would feel symptoms, I probably simply would sign up to make PCR test.

In the US the PCR test is ~$100 if you're paying out of pocket and in some places there are backlogs. Antigen test was like $5 even before the "free" thing.
1777  Economy / Reputation / Re: User SmokerFace - Recycling posts for sig campaign, new way of cheating ? on: January 19, 2022, 02:26:51 PM
i made 10+ posts in a day

You made 10 posts in 20 minutes and it was a steaming pile of shit.

I have reported another pile of shit from a few days ago. This should end either with you getting banned or mods getting really pissed at me, which is fine either way.

Some examples to illustrate the garbage you're posting:

If they're claiming about the owning of bitcoins, then ask them to control the price and the value. I've firmly believed only the owner of bitcoin can stop its value. We all know about Satoshi Nakamoto. First, he belongs to Japan while Craig is from the United States. In the world of bitcoin, everything is a fraud, and you can not trust anyone easily.

The question is, how do you own 0.1 BTC in 2022 ?. If you look at the value of bitcoin and market place, it's hard to earn such an amount. The only way to make 0.1 BTC is an investment, but it means you're already rich if you're buying it. Why would you believe it when you already have enough money?. If you go back and invest like $8 to $10, it might become rich. But in today's generation, no one can earn such an amount, not even with mining.

(didn't even read the title of the thread; it said 0.01 not 0.1 BTC)

... and so on.
1778  Other / Meta / Re: Do we need a subforum dedicated to DeFi related topics? on: January 19, 2022, 02:13:38 PM
It costs next to nothing to create a new board and there isn't much harm having it even if it's not very active. But you have to be able to define (no pun intended) what DeFi is so that mods would know what goes there and users would know where to post.

Altcoin definition is quite clear - anything that is not Bitcoin.

Token - any "crypto" that doesn't have it's own blockchain.

DeFi - smart contracts something something finance? So basically most smart contracts? What if the DeFi project has its own token, which most of them do and often more than one - can they spam multiple boards, perhaps multiple times?

not against the rules/laws on this forum

You might want to read the rules. At least the first one.
1780  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [POLL] Have you ordered your free Covid tests yet? on: January 19, 2022, 03:16:39 AM
as for using the tests to get access to a plane journey or get back to work, is a false utility of tests
by simply not swabbing their mouth/nose. they can show a test that appears negative. even when the person is still positive.
by just showing their employer a negative test they can go back to work. even when actually physically positive

I don't think home test results are accepted for foreign travel or school/employment purposes where required, etc - for obvious reasons. Home tests are for your own use, e.g. if you had a contact with a person sick with COVID and want to test yourself before visiting your elderly relatives or going to work.
