Rumor has it - well, many rumors and some seem to be confirmed - that quite a few reporters and hosts and other "media personalities" are quitting major Russian TV channels.

Meanwhile Marina Ovsyannikova (the woman with the poster on live TV) was interrogated for 14 hours without a lawyer and fined 30k rubles (that's about 300 kilos of sugar in stable currency) but may still face criminal charges.

"anal company" sounds about right. Lovely that he's calling it censorship and making it sound like there is no other way. Spread your cheeks comrades.

Or just don't use Wasabi.
1484  Other / Meta / Re: Lock Russian section. on: March 15, 2022, 05:36:17 PM
I think Meta should be locked for a few weeks until a moderator is found for it. Lately nothing gets deleted or moved... if it's something something forum something something theymos then it must be a meta topic and a bunch of lemmings start "discussing" it Roll Eyes

“There is no doubt in my mind that information leaked sometime in the middle of last week. This is concerning. I don’t think I’ve ever said the NFL really needs to investigate something. But this is something they need to look into and how it got out, because there are many books that took some sizable wagers in the middle of last week.”

NFL will find that Chucky placed those bets in 2011.

If that image is true, that is not a crack but a f*ing sewer without a tap.

It's true, but the woman got arrested obviously, the TV channel pulled the video from the website, and other media that reported on it is being very vague - an "incident" with an "outsider" even though the woman is - was - an employee.

https://ria.ru/20220314/pervyy-1778170048.html

Quote
Channel One told RIA Novosti that it was checking after the incident with the appearance on the air of an outside girl with a poster of pacifist content.

"In the live broadcast of the Vremya program, there really was an incident with an outsider in the frame, an internal check is underway," the channel's press service said.

I saw today a video in which a woman show in the Red Square a minimal cardboard saying "Two Words", just like that , literally "two words" and ... well, I do not wan to spoil it for you guys so here is it. And this does not look like a fake an I think would be nearly impossible to create.

There was another one where a woman was talking to a reporter and saying something along the lines of "I support" and from the context it sounded like she was going to say "I support the special operation", but the cosmonauts picked her up and dragged to the windowless bus regardless... just for being there.
1488  Economy / Reputation / Re: No one wants to speak against stake.com? on: March 14, 2022, 08:20:18 PM
The support clearly said, WE CANNOT DO ANYTHING. Please contact our accounts team and that accounts team hasn't replied me since 60 days or so. Any communication I am having right now at all is via bitcointalk. If they were replying to my emails or via support, I wouldn't even be creating this thread or the other one.

Stop spamming, talk to a lawyer. No one on this forum can help you anymore and you're just making a fool of yourself with the increasingly belligerent rants.

1490  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Could cracks be appearing on Putin's controlled state media on: March 14, 2022, 04:36:20 PM
There was this reporter on one of Russian TV channels who said something along the lines: "if you put a Z on your car, it increases the probability of your window getting smashed". Rumor has it that he was fired. I can't find the story now or verify that the firing really happened but that is the media landscape now in Russia. Cracks are quickly filled and everyone pretends that nothing happened. Gaslighting has been turned up to 11.

Edit - this dude: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ox0lu5P1LLA

Another example - even though protesters aren't really getting 15 years prison time, it's 5-10 days in jail typically or a 30k-50k ruble fine (250-400 USD) for first offence but the police are blocking off public squares and any other places where protests could gather, they're stopping, beating, and arresting people just walking by, arresting reporters who happen to film the beatings, illegally confiscating phones, that kind of shit. The goal is to nip in the bud so that they can keep pretending that nothing is going on.

I don't know yet what could create a big enough crack to make people realize who's at fault for their misery but I do hope it's coming.

You don't need to be rude, where is your polite attitude?

I'm sorry. What I meant to say is that the value of your account is negatively affected by a number of factors, such as its rank, low tolerance for account sales on this forum, and this:

1492  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: The default Wasabi Wallet coordinator will start censoring "illegal" UTXOs on: March 14, 2022, 03:55:20 PM
I used Wasabi a few times thinking it would be easier than JoinMarket... and maybe it is but that doesn't outweigh the disadvantages like minimum amounts and exorbitant fees. And JoinMarket effort is mainly just a one-time setup thing and it's reasonably safe for my purposes if used with Tor.

3, 4. Maybe Joinmarket, although if this is a precedent then expect Whirlpool and Joinmarket to join the censorship.

JoinMarket nodes decide to sign or not to sign the TX so I don't think this type of censorship would work.

If they are willing to ban certain inputs, then it won't be long before they are willing to cooperate with blockchain analysis and de-anonymize transactions altogether. Yet another good entity which has sold out its principles and its users. What a shame.

Yeah especially if they get subpoenaed. Their TOS doesn't seem to say that they don't keep logs.

Good grief. I just checked the Awards thread for the first time in several months after trying to ignore it, and it has already become a dumpster fire for arguments and personal attacks!

That's what happens when people disconnect their brains from their fingers and start responding to gigamegtrolls like ExcimerBitcoinSVkorner.
1494  Economy / Reputation / Re: DT Abuse by stake.com owner Stunna on: March 14, 2022, 12:52:59 PM
I am not playing any cards and I fully accept the mistake I made.

It's not a mistake.

But you have to understand that there's a withdraw only mode for such cases and my account is currently put in that mode, where I can withdraw but not gamble. Even then, I am not able to withdraw.

You see if a player makes a deposit and fails to do KYC, doesn't mean the casinos now owns the money because that wouod motivate the casino to intentionally avoid passing the KYC for player. This is why casinos use withdraw only mode.

I think there is a huge difference between failed KYC and repeatedly trying to pass KYC with different IDs. I don't like the KYC shit and try to avoid sites that do it, and I understand people who have genuine issues passing KYC with their real docs. That's not what happened here.

Also the discussion we are doing here is, Stunna tagged me as "match-fixer" without any proofs. If they tagged me as "fake KYC" I might understand.

Ok, here you go.

Also I have said 10 times and will say again, I never submitted fake KYC but KYC from my son when forced for English documents and later from my friend when forced to submit passport which I don't have.

That's still fake KYC, doesn't matter if you got the ID from a "friend" or bought it or scrapbooked it yourself.
1495  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 14, 2022, 11:36:35 AM
Isn't this just as reformulation of "don't invest what you don't afford to lose"?

I believe it's a reformulation of "buy Tesla stock".
1496  Economy / Reputation / Re: DT Abuse by stake.com owner Stunna on: March 14, 2022, 11:34:44 AM
Are you kidding me? Bet365 and any legit casino/sportsbook will ask KYC first up. KYC isn't (or shouldn't) be a toy for casinos to play with when a player wins big. You ask for KYC when you believe the player is accessing from a restricted area or you are deemed ineligible for gambling like underage etc.

This doesn't justify trying to pass KYC with fake documents. If you hadn't done that, it might be believable that you just got caught up in the KYC bullshit inadvertently. I don't think you can play that card (no pun intended) now.
1497  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who will lose in Ukraine? on: March 14, 2022, 11:14:22 AM
yes first provoke the war then sell arms to that country in the name of help. NATO is very good at this. NATO planned the war Putin started it and Ukraine become the

So Putin works for NATO now?

I know you're not capable of anything other than parroting RT talking points, but anyone else reading this nonsense should consider this: what was supposed to happen to not "provoke" the war? Should Ukraine have gifted itself to Putin? Then what? Putin won't stop until Portugal. If you wanna live in Putin's Russia - hurry up to book a flight through Turkey while you can. Stop blaming independent countries for not wanting to join Putin's empire.

I'm happy that my country is part of NATO, otherwise probably we would be part of Russia for a long time already. But I still have some fears that if Russia would do something against US, for NATO we would be too small and insignificant to start WW3.

Don't give in to that. Watch out for some pro-Putin party that may start pushing for a closer "relationship" with Russia based on that fear.

Putin is taking a good spanking from Ukraine and even if he wanted another war, he'd probably go against Moldova, Georgia, and possibly even Finland before he tried to attack NATO. I'm not trying to say that attacking those other countries is a good thing, in other words - do what you can to support Ukraine, it's the best chance to stop Putin before he does more damage.
