2421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: December 29, 2015, 10:57:07 PM
Don't spend your money unless you know how to trade or have any inside info, the market is completely manipulated. And in the long run not one of these will survive if Bitcoin dies, that's the bottomline. Something new will come along and kill the rest. But if you know what you are doing then you can definitely make money day trading or holding for short-mid term.
2422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What exchange can I trade safely? on: December 29, 2015, 10:52:00 PM
Poloniex is a top favorite for many. I've used Shapeshift.io many times, it's the easiest and safest way to trade because you do it on the fly without accounts. It's a little more expensive though than others.
2423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How could I explain easily to someone that know nothing about Bitcoin what it is ? on: December 29, 2015, 10:41:42 PM
What's wrong with saying its like Paypal? You could start with "it is a payment system with its own currency".

Lol, it's nothing like Paypal. I don't understand many here still spreading information like this. Bitcoin is very complex to explain and to use for the common person. That's why there are so few women using it and I'm not saying that in a bad way, WAF is crucial for many products and services. Consider authorization keys, wallets, addresses as long as lines of code, brain passwords, decimals, dear god...and for what?

I'm thinking this not from our point of view, we understand the potential of it, but it's far for being something that will be massively adopted, just like the internet was in the 90s. That doesn't mean it doesn't have value or it's not a huge innovative idea.
2424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2015-16 Regular Season Discussion on: December 29, 2015, 10:34:21 PM
Cleveland Cavaliers vs Denver Nuggets Cleveland Cavaliers in money line @1.386 and also over 193 @1.738 is my bet today.I was feeling bit good with this match so my betting slip is here.

I wouldn't trust the Cavs in back to back games right now, the Portland one was embarrassing after the game with the Warriors. Plus those odds are a too low in my opinion. Either way I still think you will win that bet, it's just too risky for those odds.
2425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How 1BTC can eventually be worth $11M on: December 29, 2015, 09:45:54 PM
I am sure as the technology continue to evolve, new standard may replace bitcoin in future. Bitcoin may worth more than what it is now, but $11M (even $100k) is very difficult.

Bitcoin may very well take off and be valued at 10-100k, hell, right now if it goes to $500 one can say that it's a huge figure already for something that many think it's a joke. However the same chance exists that it will be worthless because it can also become obsolete in the upcoming years.
2426  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bear market ended. Now going to $500 on: December 29, 2015, 09:17:38 PM
Bear market's now over guys.

Get ready for the $500 and then $1000  Grin

I've been saying that for a week, although I'm a little more humble I was just thinking we could reach $500 before the end of the year.
2427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2015-16 Regular Season Discussion on: December 29, 2015, 07:00:15 PM
my bet for the next year champion is oklahoma thunders,i still believe in kevin durant and russell westbrook

If they're lucky to dodge GSW in the playoffs or managed to beat GSW, it's possible as in East I see Cavs and Postons are the only contender. GSW has 90% chance to win the title again.

I don't know, anything can happen. Cleveland has a lot of time to improve with Irving back while GSW will have much more opposition in the playoffs compared to last year. It looks like a lock for GSW right now but things can change very fast.
2428  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P POSSIBLE SCAM. I lost complete faith in this forum now. on: December 28, 2015, 09:29:34 PM
never heard of Master-P until today but if someone had suggested to use him/her as escrow I would likely have agreed based on trust etc

I wonder if forum escrows had their real identities known would that reduce the likelihood of scamming

unfortunately that opens a whole other can of worms too...

Same here and from what I've read in the thread the account was sold to someone else. This should be completely against the rules in my opinion since it opens a huge can of worms as we all can see. It's also not really ethical from the account seller knowing that the buyer can actually use his name for scamming. I think an easy solution would be that accounts that are sold should reset reputation or show somewhere that it was sold recently.
2429  Economy / Speculation / Re: The second wave of consolidation is here. on: December 28, 2015, 09:01:57 PM
Something drastic has to happen for the price to go well below $300-400 right now.

If someone is trying to get in Bitcoin, unless the project fails completely in the upcoming years we can say it's absolutely to get in now since we'll see finding good support $500 eventually in the next months or at the very least at the middle of next year.
2430  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin owner passed away on: December 28, 2015, 08:57:59 PM
This is one of the many hiccups and flaws that Bitcoin has and many are unwilling to admit. Another example is that someone non tech savvy can actually lose that amount in a second if they do a simple mistake or forgot a password. If Bitcoin wants to move forward it will need to be more user friendly, offer refunds and make things much more simple for the common user.

I agree that Bitcoin needs much improvement in terms of user friendliness. This will take us a few more years imo.
But regarding refunds people have to learn that Bitcoin is not a bank, remember no central authority.
Therefore everybody is himself responsible to safe and protect his coins.
If you don't or can't do that, then go with Coinbase. But please then do not complain about their crazy KYC/AML and obstrusive questions where and from which person you got your coins from for instance.

I agree refunds are harder to implement than other improvements. And perhaps it's not really needed if Bitcoin is actually adopted by big companies and has the same regulations as regular currency. I'm not very familiar with all Bitcoin wallets but maybe there could be a time limit to "undo" a transaction if you don't mind waiting a little bit. Kinda like Gmail "undo" feature, hehe.

bitcoin will never work as a centralized payment unless people are willing to store their coins on something like coinbase in the future, with fully insurance and everything that fiat as and basically you can just go ahead and use fiat at that point

you must be responsible of your funds with bitcoin, i know that many don't want this and this si partially the reason for the slow adoption

Well that's just how people now trust banks instead of hiding their cash under the mattress if you ask me. The problem is that Coinbase and services like this should be insured and regulated, Bitcoin so far is a long way from that and I'm not sure if that would ever happen.
2433  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Would this be a good idea? on: December 28, 2015, 04:10:44 PM
Not sure if I get exactly what's your idea but if you will be accepting fiat money from CCs, Paypal and even cash, you should be very careful about scammers.

If it is the other way around, then I think it's much easier and definitely a good idea, just make them pay upfront as you said and it should be no problem. The only issue I see is that I'm not sure how many people will use your service. If they already have Bitcoin, they surely got it by purchasing it via CCs, bank accounts, etc.
2434  Economy / Speculation / Re: Another 10% Cut Incoming on: December 28, 2015, 04:04:56 PM
There is really no way to predict when the price of Bitcoin is going to rise or fall.
This is just your own projection on what is going to happen.
I believe that after January, the price of Bitcoin will reach $500. I doubt the price will fall below $400 now.
It is stable at $400.

Completely agree and I think there's even a chance that we may see $500 briefly before the end of the year. It would go back to around $450 soon after that but that's a hunch I have. After all that's all we could say about it, the market doesn't make much sense even for experienced traders and analysts.
2435  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is there any problem if we reveal our winning strategy in gambling? on: December 28, 2015, 03:30:27 PM
Some senior members told me that they never reveal their winning strategy in gambling. Because, it may make them to loss. Is it real?

They are just messing with you. yea they might have few ticks or understand game mechanics to get high wining rate but nothing is 100% sure that i tell u.
if u play the game or study it.. it wont take more than a week to understan the mechanics

why they dont say is maybe they are friends with the gambling site owners.. if everyone starts winning how will these owners make money.

the only profit in gaming is to gambling site owner rest 1 out of 100000000 might win big..but its all covred already

Exactly, there is no winning strategy, maybe some nice streaks but at the end you'll always lose. That doesn't mean you should stay aways from gambling, just do it for fun with money you can afford to lose. Consider it gone before starting and you'll see how much fun it can be. Gambling is entertainment, you are paying for that in a sense. Hell, you could even win some profit some of the time!

2437  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your predictions for 2016 on: December 27, 2015, 08:33:28 PM
If everything remains the same, then it is safe to assume that Bitcoin will rise in price just as it did every year after its creation. So I envision the price to be around $500-600 or more by the end of next year. That is the safe prediction in my opinion, but with Bitcoin we all know anything goes.
2438  Economy / Gambling / Re: Poll : Who was The Best Sportsbook in 2015 ? Please vote. on: December 27, 2015, 06:55:05 PM
Directbet is by far the best one, amazing quick support and no glitches. The site can use some better UI design and other improvements (like accepting more altcoins) but for me there's no doubt.
2439  Economy / Speculation / Re: The second wave of consolidation is here. on: December 27, 2015, 04:45:04 PM
I have a feeling that we'll see a spike this week and we'll be close or reach $500. People sold in the last days but many will take the chance to get it low now therefore provoking the rise in value. It will come down of course after that and be around $450.
2440  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Where to invest my BTC on: December 27, 2015, 04:41:24 PM
For fiat there are plenty of valid investments that anyone can recommend but I can't think of a safe one for BTC, it's just the wild west out there and they promise you the moon. I wouldn't trust on any investment site if I were you, I actually did that research myself and it's just not worth it no matter what amount you hold.
