I just heard the second half of the Broncos Vs Roosters game on the radio. The Roosters were never in doubt and the commentators forecast the Broncos will slide to seventh place on the ladder by the end of the weekend.

The Roosters have just chalked up their fifth consecutive win too. (One from one  Grin )

Nice one Timelord, good call!

Yea TBH the Roosters have 11 wins 9 losses I expected more of them this season and
I hope the Broncos make it at least into the finals, they deserve it after the turn around
in performance since last year.

There are only 5 rounds including this one left before the finals so these really are the crunch
rounds which really need to be won by those looking at the final 8.

Storm, Eels and Rabbitohs will be cementing their claim to the top 8 going forward, top 3 are
safe enough.

Hello All, Welcome to my first FREE RAFFLE

I am happy to be able to give something back FREE to the collector community here on the forum.
These are based on my current BITCOIN COLOURING BOOK project and will be the first of a few FREE RAFFLE's I hope to run

Up for auction are two original COLOURED pieces which were used in the book. Each is 1 of 1.
__________

Lot 1: is celebrating Bitcoin Pizza Day this year which just happened to fall when I was creating
the design for the Book. I scanned and printed the artwork and then coloured it in as it was meant to be done.
This was posted by me originally on the Pizza Day Celebration Thread this year.
__________

Lot 2: is the original coloured piece used for the cover of the book, again a digital black outline
printed out and then hand coloured by myself.
__________

The materials used were a combination of Faber Castell Aquarelle and Faber Castell Albrecht Durer pencils.
__________

Each piece will be designed and dated by me on the date of the Auction end

Conditions:

FREE postage anywhere
25 tickets, 1 ticket per member - But you could be lucky enough to win both lots!
No newbie members registered after 01/06/2022 can apply
After all tickets are full I will pick 2 blocks which will determine the winner.
The last two numerals will be counted - ie. 0 and 1
Please dont contact me unless you win
Remember keep your details private.

Determining the winner - finer details.....

Starting with Lot 1, I pick a block
The last two digits of the hash will call the winner
If the block hash digits are higher than 25 we go to the next block, and so on until there is a winner.

Lot 2 continues straight after the previous winning block, same rules apply, last two digits!

It is tough going over there in the 35° heat yesterday. We watch the match between
Halep and Kalinskaya. Both players had medical time outs but Halep retired after being
broken in the second set, another top seed exits.

Kyrgios is going very well, I was going to bet on him against Paul but didnt in the end.
I think today he will also be too much against Opelka. I'm going to go with a small bet on him.

Not bad at all, I actually like the colours with a COA and a diaplay box.
They dont say what the coin is limited to though.
2448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you had the chance to meet Satoshi Nakamoto what would you ask? on: August 03, 2022, 12:07:29 PM
What was that thing your mind was thinking when you struck with the idea of decentralized blockchain?
What you need to know Bitcoin isn't the first cryptocurrency, so there's other cryptocurrency had been invented by few people. Bit Gold is the close example for Bitcoin since it's decentralized, using Proof of Work and any transactions recorded on blockchain. However it's still different concept, that's may likely the reason why Bit Gold was unsuccessful. It doesn't mean Satoshi was copying other people work, he was create an another coin, but he created based on his vision.

You can read it here https://www.investopedia.com/tech/were-there-cryptocurrencies-bitcoin/

Yes there was a previous work done by a number of people and projects before
Satoshi, these were known as the Cypherpunks. I created a thread about it a few years ago.

The Cypherpunks and the road to Bitcoin

What would I ask Satoshi?

Do you still have access to all your wallets? not that I care but its still intreguing

Are you happy with how Bitcoin has developed?

did you forsee the route it has taken?
2449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Micheal saylor and btc on: August 03, 2022, 08:24:07 AM
I'm a bit of a Michael Saylor fan but he is certainly not the Father of BTC, he is just a Whale
and very much a Bitcoiner. He has highlighted many things about Bitcoin which has
got a lot of people thinking differently about Bitcoin other than its use as an alternative
currency, transfer of wealth or payment system.

If at some stage when he decides he needs to sell his or part of his hodling it will be sensational,
but not the death knell of Bitcoin. There were many many people involved in Bitcoin way before
anyone even knew of Michael Saylor or Microstrategy.

They were good odds on Khachanov, nice one. Before I went to bed I put another bet
on Kyrgios to beat Giron @ 1.26 which he won 6-3, 6-2. Handily enough, I was thinking
on doing a handicap on him but its just too risky.

For today I'm taking Korda to beat Baez, it could be another tough one for Korda though.

Something interesting today is Rune v Paire! Paire os underdog @3.25 and Rune has
really gone off the boil lately, does anyone have the will or confidence in Paire? nice odds though...

Here in Ireland when I speak for myself I can only assume I speak for a lot of others when
I say I dont factor in the Commonwealth games into my sporting calendar. We left the
commonwealth in 1949 following full independence from England. It isnt even reported
on in most sport bulletins here, so I didnt even know they were happening!

I have to say that was a great call to back the Wests Tigers last weekend @5.92!
2452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 02, 2022, 01:27:05 PM
Andy murray is having a tough time right now he is facing mikael ymer on washington ATP, he lost the first set in a tie break and now he lost his serve and he is beh8nd i thought hewould win today since ymer is not doing good recently but i guess this won't happen, murray seem to be having difficulties when playing on a hard court.

Yea he lost that in the end  The Ymer brothers do have a lot of talent but I guess that
was a match Murray was kind of expected to win.

First game today sees Paire beating Gojowczyk which was probably against the odds.

A lot of big names playing later. I have a couple of bets on for Rublev to beat Draper,
van de Zandschulp to beat Gojo
2453  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Borrow fiat with your Bitcoin and never sell on: August 02, 2022, 06:16:38 AM

It could be a tragic end when there is a bear market and more than half of BTC value drops. If the lender is not reassuring I guess this will work. Isn't something like this already in a Defi platform?

I wouldn't be getting into a loan if I have BTC. What I can suggest is to keep your coins and when ATH, you sell. That's what you should do and then wait for the bear market to come as it always does. You can do whatever you plan with that fiat.

If I sell Bitcoin once it reaches an ATH, and it continues to rise, I will never be able to recoup my Bitcoin. People sold their Bitcoin when it reached an ATH of $10. Suppose they made a million dollars. If they held their Bitcoin and could borrow against it, they would have $1,000,000 to invest in a business, plus $2 billion in Bitcoin.

Yea the trouble is that you will have to hand over Bitcoin to whomever you borrow the FIAT
from, this means you lose control of that Bitcoin and when the value falls you will have to
give them more Bitcoin to cover the value of the FIAT loan, its like a "Margin Call".

Alternatively you could do what I did twice before and its something most others would
frown upon but it worked for me. Just get a FIAT loan without touching your Bitcoin
and buy more Bitcoin with it. Timing is everything and I have done it 6 months before
the halving then 12 months after the halving sell the Bitcoin you bought to do what
you want or just part of it to pay the complete FIAT loan back.

* of course i cannot guarantee this will actually work just based on fast performance alone!

TBH Sinner has been until recently "kind of" a limited player i use that term very loosely
but fairly effective at what he was doing but I recon he realised he needed to develop further
which seems to be bearing fruit now.

Like bitbollo we have been following Sinner for a while and would class him as one of our favourites.
For his age he has super talent and a great manner.

Keep in mind that he has signed a sponsorship agreement with Nike worth 150 million over 10 years! It is difficult to invest these sums of money on a player who will not be a top player Roll Eyes

Thats a massive deal and indeed Nike see him as a very viable investment!

@tweetious - yes! this is as planned.

@Zipreg - apologies I misunderstood your post previously and yes I will continue as planned with
the books individually numbered by the printer.

With the addition of hand signing and dating on request, meaning if you dont want your personal copy
signed and dated I wont, but I suspect everyone will want that.

Apologies for the mixup all!
2458  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN][SALES] ✏️🎨🖍️aoluain - Bitcoin Colouring Book - Limited to 50 on: August 01, 2022, 06:06:13 PM
@Abiky @tweetious - Noted - thank you.

Hello All!

I have been asked if I would be willing to sign and date the books?

I dont have a problem doing so but I'm not sure if everyone who had ordered so far would
want that and its not something I factored into the books.

So let me know if you would like me to sign and date your copies?

I wonder are these already individually numbered?

If signing, it would be cool to have them numbered as well, if not already numbered that is.

Well they have not been printed yet, they should be printed this week though!

I can ask the printers to "not number" them and in turn I can number, sign and date
them on the back cover where the numbering was planned to be?

A bit of a change in plan but if everyone so far would like it done that way I dont
have a problem with it.
