—even “his” use of an apparently masculine pseudonym and online persona.) This can be the only reason that almosteveryone refers to Satoshi as "him". I find it curious when people point out the obvious in that the identity of Satoshi is unknown but yet continue to assume it as him, I know its more than likely something that happens automatically ↓After reading so many topics that discuss who satoshi could be and why he would leave bitcoin from one day to another it made me think: What is he doing these days? It is really unlikely that he never ever came back to the forum again, just to read and look at the progress. Also it seems likely that he had at least one alt account that may even be sill active.
Satoshi could indeed still be active on this forum and the first place Satoshi would have gone back to and could still be active in is the "Development and Technical Discussion" board! But yea until officially discounted anything is possible.

We have an exciting final tomorrow on Umag tournament in croatia alcaraz will face sinner on a clay court the last game between them ended with a win for sinner but that was in grass obviously alcaraz is the favourite but its not the best version of him it wouldn't be surprising if sinner can win a set or even the game i think i would go with sinner winning atleast a set.
And Alcaraz is the favorite to win the finals against Sinner, the current odds are 1.56 Alcaraz, Sinner 2.27. Not that bad to bet on Sinner to win or even take a set in this match. And maybe this game will go to three sets as well. So this is going to be close for me, if I remember, Alcaraz said that for him grass is tougher than any other surface. But he seems to be doing great as well. This two is the young prospect we got so this is going to be very exciting match. Not sure what to bet on in this final, maybe it is best to just skipp betting and watch the match. Alcaraz should be much better on clay but he was not on his usual level during this tournament. He lost sets against players that I fell should not pass 2 games per set. Sinner was much more convincing so far and looking just at current mucro form shold be able to take this. Yea Alcaraz for me in this tournament has been below par even when winning. He finds it difficult to close out matches, a player of his talent and experience should be winning matches in two sets where its taking 3 sets to get the win. He doesnt get great odds so we kind of have to play handicap on him to get some value. I played -3.5 on him yesterday and he only won with 3 games to spare so I lost my bet. Its hard to know which way to bet today, I didnt check but I would say the odds are quite even.

What are the conclusions? Maybe social media is good. But you should not be very naive and show your whole life to the whole world.
Create a fake profile.
Social media is good for fragmenting and polarizing people. And not only that, those big social media apps are striving to maximize the screen time of their users with their state-of-the-art algorithm, which truly works and affects some people. The mountainous data that each user gives is bliss for their own data-collection platform. I don't think it gives any good noting of how it affects teen mental health dues to excessive consumption, and the extraneous data they collect which could being used to polarize one's opinion. On the surface, social media is free but in another sense, we are paying a high price for it. Interesting, its funny how social media has changed from its initial concept. My understanding now is that the socialising part of a lot of what is happening is content consumers are socialising with content creators. There are big business opportunities in social media but they are heavily reliant on consumers. Its true though that the social media concept isnt entirely healthy, it often isnt really fully reflective of what is real.

And the Eels whup the Panthers, totally unexpected with only 1 loss in 19 games going into round 20 and the only team to beat them was ... the Eels. If the Eels reach the grand final that will be a massive psychological advantage. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Flh3.googleusercontent.com%2F-5sWAWTDMNm4%2FYuSQAMhfKJI%2FAAAAAAAABF4%2Fv__gHzwmZxIW1X7QYtHhhHBb-w0F-krkQCNcBGAsYHQ%2Fs1600%2F1659146238983904-0.png&t=663&c=3Goh5ohz_s-U2Q) For todays games I have the Rabbitohs to beat the Sharks against popular opinion @ 2.20and the Broncos to beat the Wests Tigers @1.09Aaaand the Rabbihohs nearly pulled it off, it was 14 - 8 to the Sharks at half time and 20 - 20 on the 80 minute mark but the Sharks score the golden point on the 86" minute.
Tonight: Titans over the ... who am I kidding... Raiders over the Titans... Rabbitohos might just have a surprise win over the Sharks and the Broncos should trounce the West's Tigers... IN SAYING THAT... I've got a dollar on the Tigers at seven to one after their last second loss last week.
aaaand that $1 bet on the Wests Tigers Timelord has paid out after the Tigers tore strips off the Broncos. 18 - 32! That was a good call, I didnt pay any attention or check what they did last week.

You are right vennali, I suffered last year with Sinner I think but this year one player has defied that rule! Alcaraz won a number of tournaments and finished quite high in others.
Rio Open - Won the final Mexican Open - Semi final loss Miami Open - Final win Barcelona - Final win Madrid Open - Final win
So betting on him would surely have made anyone profits but yes I agree with venalli, usually it doesnt work out and maybe Musetti doesnt get a "double bounce"
He might be the only exception the what I've said earlier. This kid is built different from the others. Highly motivated(well, at least for now and hope it lasts) and highly skillful + the physicality to go along with it. He is quintessentially the next Nadal in the making and he's from Nadal's academy as well. In other news, Thiem loses to Yannick Hanfmann in Austria. The crowd were buzzing everytime Thiem won a point irrespective of whether it was an error from Hanfmann or a winner from Theim but, in the end it wasnt enough. Hanfmann was playing some high quality tennis while Thiem made a ton of unforced errors. There might still be a few months of injury free match practice before we see Thiem back in form. I made the big mistake to place a bet on Thiem ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) he has the chance to close the match and wasted everything... crowd screaming is something normal in such condition, I am not surprised at all... However I think he has to recover a lot after his injury, he is far away from TOP condition ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Yes some recovery yet to be done by Thiem. Reaching a quarter final is no easy feat either but we are expecting a bit more from him, no doubt he will be frustrated a bit himself and his team will be telling him that he is making progress. I am focussing on the tournament in Umag, Sinner is into a second set tie break in his quarter final and Alcaraz is playing soon too, there is a chance it could be a Sinner v Alcaraz final! I have both on handicap to win their matches today.

One of my rules for betting on Tennis is: Do not bet on a person who'd just won a title couple of days ago. That's because generally the drive and fitness is just not easy to sustain for 2 tournaments in a row. Unless you are part of the Big 4. Those guys are a different breed but almost anyone else, is bound to lose to a decent quality opponent. That's what is happening now at Umag. Cecchinato is a set and a break up against Musetti and looks very likely that Musetti will go down in 2 sets. If Musetti somehow makes a comeback, I'd be very surprised.

There are 46 citizens there ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) and the island is private, owned by a company. They do have an international banking service but about twenty people are unbanked, so wasting high fees on money transfer services (Western Union, etc...) when their family is sending them money. But again, we're talking about very very few people. My street is bigger lol. we have millions, maybe billions of people who don't have a bank account or can easily send money around the world. Yes, millions are unbanked (just in the US 25% of US households are either unbanked or underbanked, that mean millions of people) but they don't need to wait for their government to do something. Bitcoin doesn't need government approval'. Yea I just Googled that island Chub Cay and yea I they have a population of 46. The biggest industry is tourism for sport fishing. Bitcoin can offer something for them especially to replace other money transfer providers. Maybe they can request that visitors can also pay for goods and services with Bitcoin? Indeed as they are a private island they can * do what they like * and can all agree or disagree on what route they take, seeing as there are only 46 of them it should be easy. * give the two fingers to any international banking and runn with Bitcoin.

I have to say credit cards and debit cards feels like they are the forerunner of the paperless economy to me. I have went outside today, and spent a good chunk of money (for my nation of course, it was more like 20 dollars only) and I never touched a single cash. It was definitely something I have to warn in the long run as a great risk to banknotes. I do not think that nations who "print" money even print it anymore, do they? Like when USA says they "print" trillions, do they literally go out there and print 100 dollars or whatever denomination of money worht of trillions of dollars? All in banknotes? And send that to somewhere? I still think most shouldn't even be printed, its all on bank accounts now.
I also think and feel that credit and debit card, together with digital banking, and e-wallets are the forerunners of paperless economy. Since bitcoin isn't adopted and legal yet in most places, most people often use the aforementioned things in their everyday transactions. Using cards, e-wallet, and digital banking application is convenient because you no longer have to withdraw and instead transact directly to the merchant. You no longer have to convert and exchange over networks just so you could pay unlike using bitcoin whenever the establishments do not accept it. snip Of course, just because cash is becoming less and less used doesnt mean FIAT is dying. If people are not using cash they are using a digital FIAT wallet on their smartphone or using plastic cards. Both offer a very convenient way to pay, transfer and share FIAT. I cannot see Bitcoin being the replacement for cash any tome soon... apart from El Salvador

Brooksby vs Paire, I'm liking Paire at +5.5 although odds is 1.64. Might do another multi betting.
Paire is really risky player when you are betting on him to cover handicap. He is very capable but mentally unstable. I have seen and lost money on too many his matches to ever include him on my tickets agsin. He can simply break apart in any period of the match and not win a single game afterwards. Right, and Paire lost with that huge margin, 6-3,6-1. Nick match against Gojowczyk was cancelled when I did check the scores and it seems most seeded players went through to next round. In the round of 16, top seed Opelka will go up against Ivashka. Then Americans Isner, second seed vs. Shelton. Paire is not a reliable player as has been mentioned, I wouldnt bet on him at all. I have changed temporarily my outlook on Kyrgios, I had a bet on him to win against Gojowczyk. Lets see how he performs in Atlanta after his result at Wimbledon. I also had Musetti to win yesterday which he did at Umag and plays Cecchinato next.

There's a press conference about to happen in half an hour by the Sea Eagles board over seven of their players refusing to play this week's games against the Roosters.
I'll update when I have more information, but you'd have to imagine the Roosters will be unbackable with ultra low odds.
oh, controversy ! I wonder what this is about? I have been searching for outright odds on the winner of the NRL and on Rollbit I can get the Panthers @2.0 and the Cowboys @7.9. To reach the GRAND FINAL: Panthers 1.39 and Cowboys @3.2.....I kind of banking on 2 teams really based on their ladder position now.

- The forum will last as long as admin pays the bills. .
You can also add that as long as bitcoin lasts... You could also add that the forum will last as long as their is a demand from the members. I have been on forums before and seen them die as the members dwindled away, a platform can exist but without activity there will be no attraction for others to be engaged.
If our answer is children, can they be as consistent as we expect? Are they able to divide the time between formal education and time learning about Bitcoin?
Regarding our children, you can teach them guide lines on what do and not force them to become a member of forum, if they desires then good, it should not be a must thing for our children so we can have people that will develop the passion and in that way add quality value to the forum. Can we hand over the account password and private key to access our Bitcoin wallet from now on?
I don't think is wise idea no one should manage anybody's account, rather Our Children should create their own account and start from the scratch to build their own reputation if they desires to become member. Absolutely it makes sense to let them create their own account, make their own history and reputation.

They are also quick to challenge calls too if they are close but if they are 100% convinced either way the accept it and move on. This is not cool by Musetti and can be looked on as cheating IMO.
I wouldn't call it cheating, as someone pointed out it is not his job to call it, it should have been done by ref. It is definitely bad sportsmanship and no thought at all about fair play. You do stuff like that couple of times and I am sure players look at you differently and you lose a lot od dressing room respect. Yea I agree, the players know, Alcaraz knew straight away but had to continue playing the point until the end and then discussed it with the chair umpire. Thats what I was wondering about, surely it ould be talked about in the dressing rooms or behind the scenes. Anyway as you say there could definitely be a revene match coming up in UMAG. Musetti plays Bedene tomorrow and Alcaraz plays Wednesday, interesting to see how it all pans out and if they will acvtually meet one another again at some stage.

Indeed, Bitcoin is certainly Decentralised and it is not itself an investment platform although with certain 3rd party platforms a lot of the community treat it as an investment.
As per the OP I think the sponsor from the radio programme has just got their facts incorrect and maybe they were voicing their personal opinion. Even on a metaphorical level what they said was not accurate, I mean its very very easy to find out what Bitcoin actually is and there is no need to create a metaphor to explain it.

In Hamburg Musetti was able to beat Alcaraz in 3 sets. I did a cheeky bet on Alcaraz half way through the second set and got odds of 2.85. Alcaraz went on the bring the second set to a tie break and won it but Musetti was able to claim the third. He was able to break Alcaraz in every set early on. This is his first ATP title.
There was a bit of controversy in this match as well. Musetti hit the ball after it bounced two times and ref did not see it. He was prick enough to not say anything and just continue like nothing happened. Not cool by tennis fair play but it worked out for him in the end. We could see a rematch in couple of days since both players are playing Umag next. Hopefully I'll manage to go and watch a game or two live. that was bad sportsmanship from Musetti for sure but it's not his job to call it and he didn'tget out of his way to cheat, so technically speaking you can't blame him for that, he deserved to win the it he played better and kept his composure throughout the whole match, you gotta give him that. We have seen it many times where a player will call their opponents ball in after it was called out by an umpire, all the top players have done it and have that mentality. They are also quick to challenge calls too if they are close but if they are 100% convinced either way the accept it and move on. This is not cool by Musetti and can be looked on as cheating IMO.

Very nice Trofo, I hope you get there too! I wonder did Alcaraz discuss the double bounce with Musetti after the preceedings?

The final game in Gaastad tournament between casper Ruud and berrettini was as promised it was a total war and ended with 2 1 to Ruud, berrettini managed to win the first set but Ruud was able to make a comeback if it was on grass i think berrettini would've been my favourite.
Yea I watched the last half of the match, Ruud was pretty much on top for that time. The commentators said that Berrettini's forehand abandonned him in te final set so the score suggests that 6 - 2. Yea if it was grass he would have overcome Ruud who didnt have a grass season really or possibly if Berrettini was further along with his recovery it could have been closer. Ruud though is such a strong performer, and has been fairly consistent. and In Hamburg Musetti was able to beat Alcaraz in 3 sets. I did a cheeky bet on Alcaraz half way through the second set and got odds of 2.85. Alcaraz went on the bring the second set to a tie break and won it but Musetti was able to claim the third.
