It's in there trust me I had to do the same thing. Search every folder within the main cgminer (standard version) and copy it over to the gekko version.
2502  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience Compac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: July 12, 2016, 09:12:15 PM
The tar.bz file is for building it yourself (on raspi usually). You would need the zip file on the first page of the thread. Then do as sidehack has said and copy the zlib.dll file from the standard cgminer (in the mining software section of the forum). Copy that over to the gekko version, run zadig to change the drivers on the cp2102 uart controller to winusb, then run the bat file.
2503  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience Compac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: July 12, 2016, 09:02:12 PM
Are you using a Windows computer or Linux based?
2504  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience Compac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: July 12, 2016, 08:57:50 PM
You will need to set the freq in the bat file aswell.

--compac-freq 150

Would be a good place to start. If you want to go higher get a mains powered USB hub, a Y splitter cable (female end for the gekko, two males ends for two ports on the hub). That way the gekko will get enough power without burning out your USB port on your computer  Wink

You can change the "150" to whatever number you want (the higher you go the more power it needs and you will need to adjust the voltage potentiometer on the stick itself), my gekko will go upto 300 on the setup I've got but is happy/stable at 250-260.
2505  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Anyone use dust filters on their miners? on: July 12, 2016, 08:51:06 PM
That's exactly why reason I'm asking, my (soon to arrive) miner will be under a desk so it will be in a high dust area so wondered if the filter would be of benefit. But it all depends on the scale of the downsides (heat, fan stress etc).

Compressed air is what I am going to use with mine since I like the 20% fan setting.

Already got a "super" can of it, I suppose seeing as they are only 20% they will be sucking in air slower so it wont build up as fast  Roll Eyes

Well thanks for the replies as always guys  Smiley
2506  Economy / Currency exchange / $35 PayPal for your BTC on: July 12, 2016, 08:34:33 PM
I've got $35 of PayPal that I'd like to convert to BTC. Trusted members only. I'm aware of the whole chargeback situation with this payment method and if you read my feedback I've done numerous deals already this way.

No silly percentages, it will be sent as a gift, PM me if you are interested.

Thanks.
2507  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: your $35.00 BTC for my $40.00 PayPal on: July 12, 2016, 08:27:13 PM
Just confirming did the deal for half with red123, quick, smooth deal. Thanks.
2508  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience Compac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: July 12, 2016, 08:11:11 PM
Download the cgminer gekko version. Make sure you use zadig to change the drivers in Windows (if you are using Windows).

Then plug it in and it should work (if not u plug and try again). Mine run at 250freq no problem with the flat surface of the voltage adjustment perpendicular to the top edge of the stick (near the USB port).

Thank you so much! Do you have a link to the CGMiner Gekko version? I can't seem to find it.
Once again, I really appreciate the help! Smiley

It's on page one of this thread  Wink all the main info is there. It's not well signed posted though, about half way down the first post cgminer-gekko.tar.bz or something like that. It's a link  Smiley

Let's hope when we finally get this block it doesn't turn out to be a stale one like the last time it hit 95%  Undecided
2511  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: (hacked) S7LN Group Buy on: July 12, 2016, 02:31:37 PM
Yea so I've read the psus are more efficient on the higher voltage supply. My electricity cost is silly but I'm only doing this as a hobby and not in it to make money as such. Obviously don't want to lose much of course but it's still something to do  Cheesy

Well to say I'm a little excited is an understatement. Just checked the tracking I for philipma1957 gave me and it's clears customs with an eta of Thursday delivery  Grin

Have you calculated it if it mines another sha256 coin?

I could probably take half. For $40 if that helps?
2516  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Anyone use dust filters on there miners? on: July 11, 2016, 09:14:59 PM
I am going to wait don't worry  Wink

Just got bored and thought I'd do some preliminary research and curiosity got the better of me so thought I'd ask people.
2517  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Anyone use dust filters on there miners? on: July 11, 2016, 08:35:02 PM
Yea I already use the compressed air routine for cleaning. Just wondered if anyone had used them Smiley
2518  Bitcoin / Hardware / Anyone use dust filters on their miners? on: July 11, 2016, 08:16:40 PM
So while looking for quieter fans for my soon to be arriving S7-LN, I came across fan filters and wondered if they would be a benefit or a hindrance to the Antminer? Obviously it would stop the dust and I'm guessing it would restrict airflow slightly but would it muffle the sound aswell?

Does anyone use fan filters on miners? If so what models of miner and what are the affects?

2519  Other / Off-topic / Re: ATX breakout board with USB ports? on: July 11, 2016, 05:50:52 PM
I was meant to update this thread aswell as my WTB one in the goods section.

I found one on a site called www.ooznest.co.uk (who are pretty local to me). They do one with two USB ports and 12v screw down terminals aswell.

http://ooznest.co.uk/ATX-Adaptor-Board?search=Atx

Looks good. It's built by Staticboards.

Found one so locking topic.
