No one will deal with you as you are a newbie asking for a reversible payment method and a rate that is too low. Better try virwox, coinbase or localbitcoins.

If you want a reason why no one will deal its because of all the newbie scammers that have come before you scamming people out of amounts a little as $1.50. So now no-one will deal with newbies like yourself unfortunately.
1782  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Announces the Antminer R4 and APW5 Power Supply, Designed for Silence on: December 27, 2016, 04:03:23 PM
I just got 2 customs bills from Fedex
$35.68 for 1 R4 Which was delivered to me on Dec 7
$43.13 for 1 S9 Which was delivered to me on Dec 12
Since each item was well under 2500 in value
I should have paid $0
I contacted fedex
here is their explantion
the r4 is 1,147.49 declared value
the s9 is 1,489.17 declared value
total is  2,636.66   since they arrived within 1 week they are considered 1 shipment.
My translation = Fuck you pay the money bitch.
So I now must add $78.81 to my cost

That's not good but its not too bad. Customs duty here (the UK) would've been minimum $527 plus fees from the postoffice/courier for doing the papaerwork. Id love to live in the US. Electricity is cheaper and import regulations are pretty good (most of the time).

Damn, Phil, that sucks balls...  I got a 2nd R4 coming in this week that'll be swapped with the one in my bedroom, and that one will go to the Great White North and hang with Alan and the gang at Cryptoboreas.  This is crazy, in 1 year I went from a lowly S5, sold it and got an S7, sold it and got an R4, and now a second one to be online in a week or so.  Yeah, I know I'm small potatoes compared to many of you, but a 16x increase in hash in a year, now THAT'S exponential growth!  Don't think I'll be able to keep it up for another year, tho...!

Ive done a similar thing, December last year I started with 2 Antminer U2's, then a gekko stick and three Rbox V2's, sold those for twice what I paid for them, bought 3 S3+, sold those and broke even, bought a sidehack S7LN and two more gekkos, and a couple of weeks ago sold the LN and bought a B10 S9. Only limiting factor is im at home and no where to set up a proper mining farm/rig so everything has to be underclocked and as quiet as possible and also not use too much electricity.

This guy is a joke and probable scammer. Check his feedback and the reference link I left him. He was given the opportunity to do a deal in the open and didn't. This thread is just another attempt to scam some newbie out of $50.

I can do this trade with you. Please checkout my feedback to see I've done lots of PayPal trades before with no problems at all.

I can do the rate you are asking but my only stipulation is you send first as you are a newbie with no proper activity.

I can do half that amount for 5% and you send the btc first. Check my feedback for numerous PayPal trades and everyone is happy.

Well I consolidated 67 Kano payouts into one transaction and only paid 0.0002 fee for the whole lot. It took 2 days to confirm but it worked fine.

It did have me worried as you can see from my post further back but it worked fine. The original tx fee was the same as 3ocl rewards for my little miner so didn't want to spend that much just to consolidate. Only ended up costing me the 0.0002 in the end with some patience.

well, 0.0002 for 67 tx is, perhaps, too frugal, but OK if it worked for you.
I would not try less than 0.0016 for that many, personally.

It was a mistake to be honest. One too many zeros after the decimal  Cheesy but thankful it went through.

I can't purchase the item you want but I can trade you my PayPal for your bitcoin. What rate were you thinking?
1795  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Looking for around 0,1 to 0,3 BTC for PP on: December 25, 2016, 11:29:21 AM
Yes you did get lucky. Well good luck in your future trades. It's a minefield in this section. It's always good to post proof of the transaction aswell just so you can show people you're not just another scammer Wink
1796  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Looking for around 0,1 to 0,3 BTC for PP on: December 25, 2016, 10:57:02 AM
You'll be lucky to find someone to deal with as you are a newbie looking for a trade with a reversible payment method. Also it's not a small amount you are looking for really. People have been scammed for a lot less. My I suggest localbitcoins or coinbase or some other method to buy bitcoins.

One more point. You will be expected to pay a premium for buying btc ranging from 10-30% so you if you want $100 of btc you will have to pay $110-130 PayPal.
1797  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Announces the Antminer R4 and APW5 Power Supply, Designed for Silence on: December 24, 2016, 08:54:47 PM
Thanks for the feedback on the side mount.  Speaking of fans has anyone tried to run down replacement fan motors for this fan assembly?  Might not be a bad idea to pickup a spare or two.  I think if the R4 is reliable for me it is going to be a great fit for my particular mining application.

I have also been thinking about small fans for the exhaust side of the miner.  Wondering if 80mm fans would be easy to mount across the exhaust side to pull more air through.  I am still a little worried about the summer temps with this miner.

I was thinking about the exact same when I was contemplating buying one. I though about making a shroud to encompass the whole exit side and on one side of it have a 120x38mm delta qfr1212 fan to suck the exhaust air into a 5inch duct.
1798  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Announces the Antminer R4 and APW5 Power Supply, Designed for Silence on: December 24, 2016, 07:42:21 PM
Has anyone tried standing these on end?  If so how did you mount/rack them?  Just thinking based on the orientation of the boards that it might be beneficial to mount them standing up on end. Thoughts?

Plus the forces applied to the bearings won't be what they were designed for. So could wear excessively fast. Without a known replacement I wouldn't suggest it personally.
1799  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: why Temp chip is not identical in all antminer s9 machines ? on: December 24, 2016, 04:26:20 PM
Well in that case it must be one of the other things I mentioned in my previous comment. Nothing in this world is perfectly identical. There are many factors why the temps are different. Could be down to the density of the aluminium on that particular batch of heatsinks.
1800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Problem starting GPU MINING RIG on: December 24, 2016, 03:05:57 PM
You're not putting the PSU under any load at all when just connecting green to ground. It needs to have some load to test it properly as most psus would be fine at idle but only show problems when being used. Swap it out onto something else if you can and see if the problems follow the psu.
